Rep Power: 3 ![]() | The story behind Pandora's box is that she opened it and all of the evils came into the world. Promethius's story is that he gave fire to humans and as punishment was tied to a rock and had his liver torn out by an eagle; as soon as his liver grew back the eagle would rip it out again. I believe that Hercules eventually saved him but I'm not sure. Also iffen you need any Greek mythology info just ask me...over... |

| Enigmatic Soldier | of course, that is refering the the first actuall chapter. the Prologue will be up... oh i guess now will do. Part III: Master of the Keyblade Prologue Behind the Darkness/Door to the light 2 years. For two years Sora, the Keyblade Master, had been held prisoner by Xehanort and his apprentice, Valzog. He only hoped that Riku and Kairi had managed to escape with the mysterious black haired man that had tried to save them. Any other person would have lost all hope at rescue, or survival for that matter, after two years, especially when they were also the basis for a cruel and unnatural experiment. However, Sora was not most people. He possessed an indomitable will that simply refused to break. That being said, even he could not escape the physical punishments of being prisoner and test subject. His body was weak; he was barely able to stand on his own. And even if he could get out of his cell, he was in no condition to fight his way out. And even if he did, then what? He was stuck in the realm of darkness with no knowledge on how to escape back to the realm of light. But he never gave up hope. He always believed that he would one day find a way out, or that Kairi and Riku would come for him. -------------- Down in the secret underground lab, Xando continued to play his tune. He knew he did not possess the speed nor the time to get up to Sora’s cell in time to teleport back to the realm of light before the realms came too far apart. I don’t have the time to get up there, he thought, so I’ll just have to steal some… As he played, Xando was enveloped in a strange light that seemed to emit from the ocarina itself. As the melody ended, Xando disappeared in one final flash of light. ------------- Kairi and Riku fought there way up to the top of the tower, where Sora was supposedly locked up. Much to their dismay, they were moving through the Heartless guards much slower than they would have preferred. “At this rate,” Riku breathed, cutting through one of the seemingly limitless soldiers, “we’re going to be cutting it close!” “We don’t have time for these guys!” Kairi agreed, burning countless Heartless in fire, “our time’s nearly up by now!” “Any ideas?” Kairi thought for a moment, and then one came to mind. “Yeah, I have one.” She answered, conjuring a white-hot fireball in her free hand and sending it loose. ----------------------- Sora sat there, his hands and feet chained to the wall, waiting for something to happen. He had, of course, heard the commotion downstairs and figured that someone was laying the castle to siege. Chances are, whomever it was doing so was a friend of his, or at least not an enemy. He didn’t have to wait long, however. He could tell from the sounds of combat that whoever was laying siege was probably fighting on the staircase leading up to his cell. What he did not expect, of course (who would expect this to happen?) was for the floor just outside the cell to melt and a white-hot fireball blast through and hit the ceiling. The masonry of darkness didn’t even slow it down; the fireball just incinerated the ceiling and kept on going into the sky. The most welcome of surprises, though, was for the identity of the persons laying siege to be revealed. Riku and Kairi. The two of them didn’t waste time with words, quickly using their Keyblades to unlock the cell doors and Sora’s restraints. “What took you so long?” Sora said weakly. “We can catch up later,” Riku said, “we have maybe less than a minute to get out of here before we’re stuck in the realm of darkness forever!” Clearly, it was not the time for jokes, so Sora put on a serious face and said, “I trust you have a plan for getting us out?” “Xando does,” Kairi answered, “but he hasn’t shown up yet, and time’s nearly up.” Suddenly, there was a flash of light. The next thing they knew, all three of them were being pulled into the light. ****** short, perhaps. but a nice intro in my opinion. and with it we begin to see the powers of Xando's ocarina. and it being short was the reason i was able to post it so quickly. we will spend a few chapters in the Radiant Garden (and introduce a new villain), and then move on to the world visiting. what world's i will be using, i will provide hints in chapters leading up to it. EDIT: ah thats the truth for Prometheus and Pandora, eh? i think that bit about giving fire explains why Prometheus in Megaman controls fire to a small extent. i may incorporate that in the future. thanks with all due respect, Merlin326 Last edited by Merlin326; 12/01/07 at 08:10 AM. |

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Good chapter I just wonder what the extents of the ocarina's power are and also who the new villain is. |

the ocarina is a turely mysterious item. the true extent of its powers are unknown, even to Xando. but what it can do is truely marvalous. it will, at one point, restore light to a world that has lost its proection from darkness, and in the process refer to a rousing yet heartwarming song. a song often used in movie trailers for "tear-jerking stories of a bittersweet yet triumphant rises to glory". my only hint as to this song... Dragonheart. as for the villain, he is origional, but not. he is young, but old. and he is evil and hatred incarnate... with all due respect, Merlin326 | |

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Question where in the world did the ocarina come from?(Not people, I mean who created it? I mean, it can restore light to an etire planet, etc..) Also the villain is perhaps: the devil, Xenahort, Inferno from soul calibur... I could go on, but I'll just wait till the story tells who it is. Also once again: Dragonheart was a good movie, but I heard that its sequil wasn't that good. |

| Enigmatic Soldier | well i saw A new Begining (Dragonheart sequal). i havent seen the origional yet (been looking for the DVD for a while now). i think it could have been better, but i enjoyed it (then again, i enjoy most every movie i see, lol). also, while all good guesses, our new villain is actually far more powerful than Xehanort (even he fears this strange being). a being shrouded in mystery and deciet. as far as the origins of the ocarina, i havent thought of that yet (but you have givin me an intereting point that i may incorporate yet). it is more of a symbol for this story, even if its powers are used time and again. what it symbolizes, when learned by the characters, will install fear and doubt into their minds. because what it symbolizes, if taken as fact, completely changes the meaning of the war (which hasnt yet occured, lol), completely changes the goals of one faction of teh war, and could spell disaster for Sora and the heroes of light... my temporary answer to where it came from is (until i sit down and take the time to think on it): where did the Keyblade come from? Where did Prometheus and Pandora come from? where did Project: ENDLESS come from? the answers are unknown, but their significance is unquestionable... this story's getting darker with every post i make, lol. With all due respect, Merlin326 |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Sherlock Holmes would have a tough time discovering the secrets that lay sealed within your cerebral Neo Cortex, Herr Merlin. You have put more intrigue into this story than stars in the sky, it seems. I eagerly await more! (couldn't resist an overt Crash Bandicoot reference!) |

| Enigmatic Soldier | after thinking in the back of my head today, i have a bit more information on the ocarina's powers. by playing various songs, you can unleash the power connected to the song (similar to Ocarina of time). of course, you can use it to play normal, nonmagical songs as well, but its powers require the song to be played. we have already seen time travel used via the instrument. however, there are a few limitations to its powers. the first (and main) thing is: it cannot bring back the dead. that is its major limitation. in fact, there is no force in the universe of the stroy that can achieve that particular feat. but while the ocarina cant bring the dead back to life, it is able to temporarily summon the dead to the realm of the living (which manifest as a ghost). in fact, the near future will see the use of this power... with all due respect, Merlin326 |
