I likely won't have as much down time since this year I'm actually doing stuff at my school othr than sports (fall play, school charities, maybe student council, helping set up dances, etc etc). I'll try to get as much writing done as I can though.

Chapter 14

Stalgamin and Draco were running. Running for survival. Xonic was on their trail, hunting them down, firing immense amounts of dark energy at them. Little by little, the base was becoming destroyed. Danielle and Bonzi were already out, and Elle had taken the ship to the base, with all the operatives inside, and all equipment as well. The ship still was not finished, but they needed to get off the planet in order to live to see another day.

Finally, Stalgamin noticed a window, leading to the exterior of the building. “Faster, Draco. We’re almost out.”

“You don’t get it Stalgamin. He’ll just catch up to us on the outside. Not even all of us can beat him when he’s in Apocalyptic Form. Even Dartanian has failed multiple times to conquer that form.” Draco said. They still began charging to the window.

Stalgamin was eager to leave. “Any ideas of how we make the jump down once we’re out?” Stalgamin asked as they approached the window.

“Take my hand,” Draco ordered. Stalgamin obeyed, and they jumped. Stalgamin closed his eyes, anticipating the adrenaline rush. But, instead he felt nothing. Nothing but air under his feet.

He looked down. He was hovering above the ground. He looked at Draco, in awe of what happened. Draco was flying! He had no wings, he just managed to use the energy around him to escape freely.

Xonic followed in rage. He flipped out the window, and sprouted pseudo wings from his back. They were shrouded with spurts of darkness, as he began to fly behind them.

Stalgamin looked back. “Well, Drac, your plan didn’t work. Instead, he looks like he’s gaining on us.”

Draco nodded. “Then down we go.” Draco began to descend to the ground steadily, but still, Xonic followed. Draco looked around as his foot gently touched the ground. “Hold him off while I contact Bonzi and Danielle. We can’t defeat him now, but we need to evacuate as soon as possible.”

Stalgamin nodded. He took his sword, and faced Xonic, who had begun his descent as well. Stalgamin was going up against a monster not even the harshest nightmare could conjure up. His stomach was in his throat with fear. Draco had already begun his call for help, but Stalgamin had no idea how long he was to last in this fight.

Xonic landed on the ground in perfect grace as he began to release an array of dark mater in various shapes and sizes right at Stalgamin. Stalgamin clutched the crystal and quickly slammed it into a hole on his sword. The gem meshed perfectly with the sword. Suddenly, crystal spires began to shoot up around Stalgamin A protective pyramid was formed around Stalgamin, protecting him from the array of matter. Stalgamin then released a large force of telekinetic matter at the crystal, shattering into millions of different directions at intense velocities.

Xonic took a good deal of the attack from the blast, however, he had not been weakened one bit. Stalgamin quickly realized he was no match for Xonic at this point in time, considering Stalgamin was still unsure of his powers.

He knew a defensive battle was all he could do. As Xonic began attacking with his sword, Stalgamin just kept summoning barriers of crystals for protection. A substantial amount of time passed, and still, Stalgamin had not been able to give up on the defensive. Draco was finally ready to jump in.

“They are on their way, Stalgamin. We need to attack now!” outed, as he began to attack Xonic from his side.

Xonic merely growled at these petty attacks. Stalgamin and Draco combined attacks in order to try to even make a dent in Xonic’s power, but nothing affected Xonic at all. In the distance, luckily, Draco could see a ship coming. It was Elle, Bonzi, Mega, and Danielle on their way.

“I see them. Run, Stalgamin. Don’t worry about me.” Draco said, as Xonic began taking offensive.

Stalgamin could only nod. He began to run in the direction of the ship, motioning to the ship they were in need of help. It slowed down, and the side door opened as it flew past Stalgamin. He jumped into it, and fell on the ground immediately. Danielle clutched him in her arms. “Are you alright, babe?” she asked him.

Stalgamin nodded. “Yeah, but hurry. Draco needs help.”

They approached the scene of the battle. Draco was struggling in fending off Xonic’s attacks.

“Draco, jump in.” Stalgamin ordered. Draco attempted to make a clean backflip into the sihp, avoiding any slashes from Xonic’s blade, but unfortunately, he was hit. Xonic made a clean cut across his neck, shoulder, back, and lower body. Draco fell onto the ground motionless..

Stalgamin knelt on the ground, pounding his fists in anger momentarily. Bonzi jumped out of the sip, and sent a massive pulse of fire in Xonic’s direction. Engulfed in the flames, Xonic was unable to attack momentarily. Bonzi grabbed Draco’s body, and quickly managed to get back onto the ship.

Mega flew the ship off the planet. Bonzi carried Draco’s body onto the table in the middle of the ship.

“Elle, get over here. We need you to run tests on Draco. He’s in critical condition. Barely breathing,” Bonzi said. The only sound other than Bonzi’s immediate commands were the sounds of Stalgamin in disbelief that his mentor had been struck.

lol its right, im a bit lazy with my fics as well, since I can't really add a new fic im writing since its another collab and I need the original creators permission to post it im pretty sure.

It's on my DA account though, it's called 'Blackout: Draco's Story' (It's a different Draco though, not the one we all know and love XD)
