Chapter 10

About 2 and a half months have passed since Stalgamin arrived on Aeropolis. Ever since his fight with a mysterious cloaked figure, he has been training for about half the time he is awake, and spending the other time regenerating his energy and hanging out with Danielle. The entire crew managed to discover an underground base, and just in time. King Xonic had landed on Aeropolis in search of them. He knows they are on the planet, but he never tracks them down.

Draco has been sneaking out to restock the base on food, drink, clothes, and any miscellaneous items. His other time is sepnt working on Stalgamin's training, which i progressing quicky. However, Draco is becoming less interested onAeropolis, and the entire LIBERATORS organization.

They had managed to find about 45 new recruits to LIBERATORS. The recruits have been training as well, but not intensely. There is one special recruit, however. He goes by the name of "B". Draco has been observing him intently recently, knowing that there is something familiar about him. Also, there is power with B. In fact, he may even be more powerful than Draco.

Mega had been training as well, but instead of doing so intensely, he has been focusing on building an escape cruiser. His cloaking device has been working to protect them from Xonic and his troops, but it is beginning to break. The engine and exterior are the only finished parts as of now, while Danielle and Elle have been busy coming up with decorations and designs for the interior.

Stalgamin wiped his forehead as he finished his day's work. He worked with differnt weapons today, specifically chakrams and an auger blaster. He walked over toward Draco to be evaluated.

"So, Drac, how'd I do today?" Stalgamin asked.

"Eh, not bad. Your accuracy with the blaster is as sharp as a pin, but yourspeed on firing could be quicker. Your control with the chakrams needs work as well. But all will be good in time," Draco said.

Stalgamin accepted the evaluation and began to head off to spend time with Danielle,. However, he stepped back, turned around, and looked at Draco.

"Draco, one quick little question..." Stalgamin began.

"Yes, what is it this time?" Draco responded while looking down on his recruits.

"Can I sneak up to the surface and get some supplies? I really think I need a new look. As does everyone else." Stalgamin explained.

"No, Stal. Thhat's not going to happen. We are wanted for arrest right now under the penalty of death. You wanna risk that for all of us? Your stealth classes have just started. You need more work before you can roam the city streets," Draco answered.

"That's so lame. Why do yo ualway get to?We're the same age," Stalgamin said.

"We may be the same age, and yo umay be the King of Light, but you need to grow up. You're a grown man. You can't risk your life for fun right now. I know what I'm doing. You've been fighting for what, 3 months with me? I've been fighting for over 10 years. I think I kinda have the right to protect myself if I'm in deep trouble," Draco said.

Stalgamin glared at Draco, but Draco didn't change his facial expressions whatsoever. Stalgamin stormed off to the barracks in a snit. He ran right past Danielle.

"S tal, baby, what's going on?" Danielle asked.

"I'm going into the city. I don't care what Draco says. I know I'm ready. I can protect myself if something comes up," Stalgamin said. He pulled the curtain over him so he could change out of his battle clothes for a white tee shirt and jeans. He stormed back out and grabbed an auger blaster and a tri shot pistol.

"Stal, no. Don't go. It's too dangerous. What if you get captured by Xonic?" Danielle asked.

Stalgamin stopped for a second. "Ugh! You're exactly like Draco. You can't take me seriously. You never can."

Danielle looked down at the ground for a brief moment. "I'm going with you, just hold on." She went into her room and grabbed a few pistols and got changed into a red blouse and jeans. "Let's go."

Stalgamin and Danielle sneaked all around the base until they got ot the back gate. They had successfully gotten away, until they were spotted by one of the recriuits.

"Hey guys, where are you going?" he asked.

Stalgamin turned around. "I'm a LIBERATOR officer, I don't have to answer to you," he said.

"Ha! I've seen you train, you can't protect yourself if you're in a fight up there," he tossed both of them swords and began to follow them. "I'm going with you."

"Oh no you're not," Danielle snared.

"I'll tell Draco where you went if you don't..." the recruit threatened. "Alright, you can go. But what's your name?" Stalgamin asked.

"Here, officially, I am known as B, But, you can call me Bonzi. Bonzi Beemmer."

"Well Bonzi, we've got no time to lose. C'mon." Danielle said.

Thanks as always Cef. I'm working on developing Bonzi in the next chapter, and trying to reveal his importance little by little. I'll have it up probably tomorrow night, if not Wednesday night.

Why do I have the feeling that this fic isn't going to end well for Xonic? If it is going to end the way I think it is, I reckon the perfect song to go with it is Why by Ayaka.

It was the song played during the japanese ending to FF7: Crisis Core.
