Chapter 4

They had entered a room with two huge, gold lamps, at either side of Nelo’s shoulder, burning a bright orange and yellow flame. Small golden steps lay in front of him. On the high platform they led to, stood a man with his back to them.

“I knew you were coming. I have awaited your arrival for a decade,” said a quiet hoarse voice. A small old man with a long white moustache and a long thin white goatee, turned to face Nelo.
He wore a silver ancient Japanese robe, like an Emperor, with his arms folded into the sleeves. He was no more than four feet tall. He looked up at Nelo through his half moon spectacles and said nothing. He just stared at Nelo as if he was examining him, looking inside him. Then he spoke.

“Come my child, sit, there is something I must tell you, something very, very important.”

Nelo sat in the golden chair opposite the Sage. But he still stood, never taking his eyes off Nelo.

“Master, what is it? Is it about my past? My nightmares? Did I commit those heinous acts? Was…was I an evil, bloodthirsty tyrant?” All of the questions and thoughts that stirred inside him all those years came out all at once.

“Sit, sit, you will get your answers my son.
So Tenkai understood that I was calling you. Yes, I’m glad you are here.
Ah there is so much to tell you but so little time.”

“What do you mean Master?

“What I’m about to tell you, my son, will not only help you understand the truth about whom you are, but will shock you…”

“Master?”

“You are the one Nelo Angelo, the one that defeated Bijomaru.”

Nelo’s face went pale, his throat dry, his red eyes widened in shock. He sat with his mouth wide open at the Sage. He felt his blood run cold and his body became stiff.

“What…but it can’t be, can it?” whispered Nelo in a hoarse voice staring in bewilderment at the Sage.

“Yes, it was you.
Don’t you feel it Nelo Angelo, the emptiness in your soul, like there is something missing?
You are the one that did it and you are the one that must do it again,” the sage ended sternly.

After a long silence Nelo stammered, “But I…I couldn’t have…How?”

“Oh but you know how. The last nightmare you had, the black cloaked man with the samurai sword. It was him. You killed him.”

“How do you…But…did I? I…I…I don’t know how that dream ended. It was just a huge flash and I awoke.”

“Yeees, that collision nearly destroyed the Coliseum. That blast had killed you both.”

“Killed…us both? But...how? How do you know? I don’t understand?”

The sage turned his back to Nelo, closed his eyes and sighed.
“I remember it like it was yesterday. I was there.”

It was nearing the end of the year. Bijomaru’s army had annihilated the army of Penquan the Raging Conqueror, the last army to stand up to Bijomaru’s threat. His next target was the Emperor himself.

He sent his right hand man, the General of his army, the titan-like warrior Ghoda, to send a message to the Emperor. With his huge broadsword he decimated the guardians of the Emperor’s castle and challenged his army to a fight for the throne. The Emperor of course said no, he would never give up the throne to a bloodthirsty maniac. He would protect his people.

The personal bodyguard of the Emperor, a highly skilled warrior in many arts, fought Ghoda to a duel and beat him. He threw him out of the grounds and scarred him across his face saying,
‘'this is a warning to you, if you ever dare come to the palace again, I will kill you.’'

When Ghoda told his master Bijomaru, it enraged him. He got his army ready and they headed for the palace. The Emperor knew Bijomaru would come regardless and had his army ready. A gruelling war broke out, but it lasted mere hours. Bijomaru’s army was defeated.

Furious at his loss, he fled the city with his few remaining soldiers and his General. After a few days he arrived at a magnificent structure, The Great Coliseum as it were known. There was a small village on one side of the coliseum and out of anger he ordered an attack on it. But that would be a costly mistake. One man stood up to them, enraged for destroying his home, he challenged Bijomaru. It was you.”

Nelo’s head was spinning. Flashes of images were throbbing in his head. It was slowly coming back to him, that horrible day. He could see the flames raging, women and children screaming, his home destroyed, his foster families burned corpses.

“BIJOMARUUUU!!!!!” he screamed in extreme anger.

Chapter 5

Nelo Angelo took a sip from the cup the Grand Sage had given him. He felt calmer. Then the Sage spoke again.

“Feeling better my child?”

“Yes…I…I saw it in my head. What he did. His smile…his eyes,” Nelo growled whilst squeezing the cup in his hand which then shattered.

“I think I have told you enough for now. You must rest.”
“No, Nelo interrupted. Please I need to know everything. Continue.”

“Well there isn’t much left to say. You defeated him that night Nelo Angelo but as I said that blast had killed you too. I had sensed his death and teleported there with Seraph. Bijomaru’s body had evaporated into mist but you still lay there. I felt your heart for a beat, but nothing. But then to my astonishment you twitched. I felt your heart again and was shocked to feel it beating. I took you to my apprentice at the time, Tenkai of the White Mages. He looked after you all these years without knowing who you really were. I knew the time would come for you to be told all this, and the time is now. He is back.”

Nelo sat silently once again. He understood why now Bijomaru’s name made him feel uncomfortable, but that was the least of his worries.

“What must be done now?” he asked.

“I think you know Nelo. You must face him again, and this time he must die for good.”

“Hmmm…I thought you’d say that. But how exactly did he return? Why didn’t he die?”

“Alas, that I do not know. I have pondered and researched but I still am unable to find the answers. It seems you must figure it out for yourself. But fear not I shall help you.”

The Sage waved his hand slowly beside him and a magnificent white horse, with a glistening mane appeared in front of Nelo. The horse neighed and leaped into the air. It had beautiful silver armour on its body embedded with crystal.

“She is a war horse and the fastest of her kind. She is well suited for a samurai master like you, chuckled the Sage. She shall aid you on your journey and through the battles that you may face.”

Nelo looked at the horse; it was the one from his dream, the Sage’s legendary horse. The old man must believe in him to give him his noble steed. Nelo climbed up its back onto the saddle and the horse neighed in delight.
“Yes, she likes you. First go to the land west of this forest; there look for a warrior called, Mitsunare. He shall help you on your journey.”

“Thank you master.”

“Yees, go my child, fulfil your destiny.”

***
The magnificent horse sped through the forest with incredible speed. Many thoughts were going through Nelo’s head. He tried to stay focused, the answers would come eventually, he thought. He must find this man called Mitsunare; that was his first mission.

“Boss?” whispered Mogi, are you alright?”
Nelo was oblivious to the fact that Mogi was there the whole time. He had heard everything of course, it was hard for the little creature to understand this all. He was just a youngling. He cared for Nelo a lot but he didn’t know what to say or do.

“Wow, so it was you who defeated him, who would have thought it. I am with the man that saved us all. Right boss?”

“Yes Mogi, it seems so,” Nelo replied. He didn’t want to talk but he didn’t want the little creature to worry about how he was feeling inside.

“Ah yeah, wait till they hear about this in the village. They all laughed when you chose me to accompany you, an inexperienced mage, but I’ll have the last laugh now. But boss, why did you choose me?”

“No reason Mogi, I just did.”
“Ah come on boss, there must be some reason. Come ooon.”
“Because we are friends of course.”

They rode for miles and dawn crept up on them. Nelo pulled on the reigns of the horse slowly to a stop.

“Hmm…It’s getting late. We better rest.”

***

“Kill them all. This will be a sign to the world that we are back. Move out!”

A huge, gruff man wearing black armour, with small spikes imbedded in it gave this order to a group, of at least a hundred, black armour clad knights.
They were all on black horses and they all had weapons by their side. The huge man was their General. He wore a black helmet that covered his face except his eyes, which were an evil orange, glaring at the villagers.
The black armoured knights charged at the village setting huts on fire and stomping down everyone in their path.

“Yes destroy them all, the huge man spoke again, destroy them all in the name of our master Bijomaru.”

The villagers ran in fright, all the woman and children ran into their homes only to have them set alight. The men of the village weren’t really warriors but they fought valiantly for their lives. But they were no match for the knights and were slain. Souls cried out in fear, pleas for mercy screamed through the air, but no one was spared.

But then one man stood up to the knights and attacked. He took one down with a mighty flying kick and took another down with a spinning wheel kick.

“Leave us alone you wretched fiends or I shall kill all of you!” he shouted in anger.
A small man wearing a ripped brown vest and shorts stood staring at the men. He was the local street cleaner.
“Ha ha ha ha ha, you kill us all? Ha ha ha ha,” laughed the men of Bijomaru.
But then suddenly he took two more down screaming “Pajon Chang San!” (Great elephants power).
The men stopped laughing.
“What the…Who are you!?” exclaimed one of the knights.

“I am Ting, the son of Master Kru Dam.” With that said he jumped into the air and performed a three hit knee combo on the knight who questioned him, shouting “YOTHA KLUEN TAP!” (Prepare for war), taking him out.
All the other knights exchanged surprised looks at each other and slowly got off their horses. They edged towards Ting. He stood in his Muay Thai stance, waiting.
Then he unleashed wave after wave of knees and elbows, shouting out the names of his attacks as he did so.
“ONGKOT KONG PHRAKAN! (Giants sword), HAKAMUM HEWARAT! (Crumbling Cliff)” He took out three men with this triple fist to spinning sweep combo. He swiftly dodged an axe that came hurling towards him and charged towards a crowd of knights screaming “YAT TIEM FA!” (Sky Scorcher). They all flew back at the impact crashing into a wall, which crumbled to pieces.

He was a formidable warrior. The villagers stood in awe, they had no idea their local street cleaner was a Muay Thai master.

Four knights came towards him with their axes swinging wildly. He dodged and feinted them all and countered with “RAMASOON KWANG KWAN!” (The giants axe). A triple elbow combo and a double knee lift attack, with great force, that killed them all.

The men slowly walked away from him. Ting stood firm, sweat pouring down the side of his face. This was only just the beginning.

But then the General got of his horse. He was an enormous man, with an amazing physique. He put down his massive broadsword and slowly took of his helmet. A broad muscular face, with a cold dark look stared right into the eyes of Ting. Tings blood ran cold just looking at him. The general had long wavy brown hair and his orange eyes gleamed with anger. Then he took of his chest plate and shoulder armour to reveal a huge, ripped to the bone body. He looked superhuman.

He walked slowly towards Ting. He was almost double his height. The Muay Thai master stood his ground and showed no fear. Then the general put his hands on his own head and tied his hair into a neat ponytail. A smirk appeared on his face, “Let us see how your Muay Thai faces against my God Fist.”

Ting ran at the General screaming “HAK NAROK!” (Challenge hell). A spinning flying knee attack that aimed straight for the general’s chest. But the general side stepped him at the last second and gave a thunderous swipe of his fist right on Tings back. He dropped brutally to the ground, winded. Then the General lifted the senseless body back up with one hand and gave a ferocious headbutt straight onto his forehead. Blood poured from Tings head. The General dropped him to the ground and snorted, “Humph pathetic. I didn’t even have to break a sweat.” He gave a giant foot stomp to Tings chest and walked away. Then the knights walked up to the half dead body and started kicking him cruelly. The General turned around and stopped them. He picked Ting up again.

“Hmm…You are a good fighter. Join us; join the clan of Knights of Bijomaru.”
Ting was dazed and was bleeding profusely. He couldn’t even speak. But then he spat in the general’s face and whispered “Never”.

“Very well,” said a cold, deep voice. It wasn’t the General who spoke, but a black cloaked, hooded man who appeared out of nowhere behind the general. All the men bowed down on their knees and the General whispered in shock as he bowed “Master Bijomaru!”
Bijomaru put his hood down to reveal a pale, cold face. His blood red eyes shone with terrible evil at Ting, freezing him to the spot. He unsheathed a beautiful samurai sword from a beautiful black, golden designed sheath. He pointed it at Tings neck and whispered, “Die!” With a deadly, quick swipe he sliced Tings head clean off.

-----------------------------

“NNOOOOOO!!” screamed Nelo awake.
“Boss, Boss! You okay? It wasn’t that nightmare again was it?”

heres seven again. luckily it was just that that got deleted. 8 is nearly done.

Chapter 7

Nelo was sweating profusely and hyperventilating heavily.
“B…Bijomaru...He is back. He killed…him…those eyes.” panted Nelo in a hoarse whisper.
“What was that boss? Killed who? What’re you talking about?” said a confused Mogi.
“His…his eyes…” Nelo’s face was white with horror for he knew the nightmare was real but what more was it felt his deadly act was recent.

“We better get moving.”

Nelo got up and mounted onto the steed. But as they were about to move, Nelo stopped. “What’s that? Can you hear it Mogi?”

“Y, yeah. It sounds like hooves, lots of hooves.”
“Are we being followed?” thought Nelo. “Let’s go, Hyah!”

The horse neighed and started to run through the forest, meandering through the trees. But the sound of the hooves was getting closer. Nelo could now hear faint shouts of men whipping the horses urging them to go faster.

Who were they? How did they know where he was?
“Hmm…I must fight,” thought Nelo and pulled on the reigns halting his white horse to a stop. He mounted off slowly staring through the distant trees where he could hear the shouts. He summoned his swift and powerful samurai blade, the Zanmato.

“Here they come,” he thought. Over fifty black knights on black armoured horses came charging straight at him. There was no doubt they were Bijomaru’s men.
They slowly circled Nelo all with different weapons in their grasp. Swords, axes, pikes and spears, all gleamed silver in the moonlight but gave an aura of evil. They had spilt blood of many innocent people. Nelo gripped his sword in anger with his left hand.

They mounted off their horses and got into their fighting stances. One of the knights flung his pike straight at Nelo but it was easily slashed away and he gave a swift cut across the knights’ throat. The knight stood there thinking Nelo had missed him and gave a little s****** but as soon as he did blood oozed down his neck. He tried to inhale and squirmed for air. He dropped to the floor and wriggled and writhed. He sounded like a frog with a bad cold as he tried to breathe but then he stopped, dead.

All hell broke loose as all the knights started attacking. Nelo’s amazing skill with his blade allowed him to easily dodge and slash their impending attacks. Mogi aided his master by casting hastega on him. Nelo was now moving so fast with amazing speed, it was as if a red and silver tornado had erupted from the ground decimating all in its path. The chinking of metal reverberated through the forest. The knights were formidable fighters who were also very skilled. This wasn’t surprising to Nelo because they were trained by Bijomaru himself. Although he kept on fighting, Nelo knew they were too much for him. He couldn’t keep up.

Then suddenly an arrow zoomed past Nelo’s face and hit one of the attacking knights. Everyone stopped and looked at the arrow stuck deep into his chest. The knight put his hands slowly towards the arrow and stared silently. He looked up at Nelo and then dropped backwards, dead. Then more arrows came hurling through the trees impaling many knights. Nelo stopped and looked around in perplexity to see who was helping him. It must have been at least a few hundred men he thought.
Arrows were pouring like rain in the forest. The knights were stunned and ran like ants on fire.
“RUN!” they screamed, “It’s a whole army of archers, lets get out of here!”

The remaining knights mounted their horses and fled.
Nelo stood dumbstruck. He sheathed his sword and it evaporated from sight. He then heard rustling in the bushes from where the arrows seemed to be coming from. ‘Archers?’ he thought.
“Boss? Did you do that?”
“No Mogi, it seems that there maybe people in this forest who are on our side. SHOW YOURSELVES!” Nelo shouted.

“No need to yell my friend,” said a calm voice.
A man walked out from behind the bushes and walked towards Nelo. He was wearing an ancient looking grey samurai outfit. He had long silver hair that was tied high in a ponytail. He looked young, mid twenties at least, but Nelo just had the feeling that this man was much older than he looked.

“Nelo Angelo isn’t it? Yes, I was expecting you.” His voice was deep and gave the notion he was a wise and knowledgeable man.
Nelo saw that he had a very strong, big sturdy looking bow in his hand and around both his shoulders and his waist were hundreds of arrows.

“Wait, it was you who helped me? All by yourself?”
“Hehehe…yes it was me. I think you know who I am, don’t you?”
“Mitsunare?”

“Yeeess.” He stared at Nelo smiling. It was if he was examining him. Then he looked up towards the night sky.
“Hmm a red moon, blood has been spilt this night, blood of the innocent. Come my friends, it is not safe to be in these woods. More of Bijomaru’s men maybe heading this way, we must make haste.”
Nelo climbed up on to his horse and followed Mitsunare.
