| Nevermore... | Hey guys, its been a long time hasnt it. I've been real busy and have been working on it slowly. I think im done now, it may not be my best yet but its all i got for now. Thanks for the patience, here goes. Chapter 15 Neloangelo sat in silence for what seemed like an age. The vision under the waterfall, it was all clear now. He had run away from home, away from that nightmare. He got abruptly, his face stern and motionless. Then he spoke, “So where to next Mitsunare.” Mitsunare got up slowly, taken aback and replied, “Er, well…hmm yes I feel you are ready now…We shall travel east from here. My instincts tell me we do not need to go towards Bijomaru’s lair; he will come looking for you. He is searching for you.” “Yes, your right he will be. But why east, what lies that way?” “Hmm…I shall take you to your home. Do you not wish to see it?” Nelo stared at him. He longed to see his home for a very long time; in fact he wished it everyday when he was at the village. “Yes, I do.” “Well then let us go. We have nothing else to do here. We shall travel in the moonlight.” They went inside the house to get themselves prepared for their quest. “Mogi wake up, it is time to leave." “Huh…wha…not now boss…just a few…more minutes…” he mumbled quietly. *** It was a sad night at the Village of the white mages. The moon shone in all its glory and the stars twinkled brightly in the beautiful night sky. The village looked good as new. But the town was quiet. All the mages were out in the streets. The news of the passing of Master Tenkai was called out earlier, the town was in shock. Fireflies were fluttering around and a sombre hymn was in the air. It was coming from the palace. The samurai-geisha was wearing her vermillion coloured robe covering her entirely from head to toe. Her face was visible but was covered in shadow of the hood. She held her Ugetsu blade tightly gripped in her hand beneath the robe. She was told she would find Neloangelo west of the village under Mitsunare’s guidance. It was time to meet him. As she headed towards the exit she took one last look behind her. The hymn grew louder as the villagers joined in. The sky suddenly gleamed and meteor shower appeared. It was a beautiful site. The magic of the hymn had caused it to appear, for their master Tenkai. *** Bijomaru stood outside his secluded palace in the forest. The light in the sky had caught his attention. His eyes gleamed as he saw it; it brought back memories of the night he had become who he is now. A feeling inside him that he had not felt for over a decade was slowly coursing inside him. “What’s happening to me...I…I…Impossible…” He started to feel dizzy and light headed. He held his head in frustration and curled up onto the ground. His head was spinning and a high pitched screeching rang in his ears. He could see them, the man, woman and a child. Bijomatu was holding a demonic blade in his hand, a dark purple mist seethed from the edges. He was looking at his first victims, the first souls to devour for his blade. He sliced the neck of the man as he tried to protect his wife. Blood gushed out and splattered over the helpless woman. She screamed in terrible fright and pushed the little boy away from her. “RUN! She yelled, GO!” The child got away but the woman’s body was severed in two as she threw herself over the writhing corpse of her husband. The house was aflame, the boy couldn’t have escaped, were his thoughts. He had heard people approaching, so he fled through the back, like a thief in the night. “Sire? Are you alright?” Ghoda lifted Bijomaru to his feet with a look of concern on his face. He had never seen his master on his knees before, looking all weak. “I…I am fine Ghoda, take me to my quarters.” Bijomaru felt terribly weak, like the same night he was back from the dead. Ghoda carried his master to his room and rested him upon a throne. “Sire what happened?” “I…I do not know. I am fine Ghoda. What happened in the village? Did you find him? “No sire, he was not there. We discovered it was not a village at all, those mages lived in luxury, so we burned it to the ground. But I did come across someone form the past. A woman, the one that infiltrated our lair the night that you and Neloangelo were considered dead, she is searching for him too.” “I see…Go Ghoda. I must rest…” Ghoda left Bijomaru to rest and waited outside his chamber as lookout. Bijomaru stared toward the ceiling. What had happened to him? Those victims were the last people he wanted to be reminded of. Suddenly his blade shimmered, with the same purple, misty, aura as that night. It vibrated in his hand as he held it. His eyes grew darker and the red pigment of his pupils gleamed furiously. He felt the blood of anger and might coursing his veins. He summoned portal of darkness and disappeared into it. “Sire?” Ghoda sped into the room after hearing a strange noise, only to see a wisp of black mist where Bijomaru sat. *** Neloangelo and Mitsunare travelled on their steeds east towards the legendry Ancient Coliseum. Mitsunare spoke, “It will take us three days and three nights to get to your home my friend. We shall rest in the next town ahead. I have an old friend there who will take us in.” The moon shone brighter than ever. Nelo looked up and saw the meteor shower in the sky. “Looks pretty doesn’t it Mogi,” Nelo said knowing that Mogi liked shiny things like that. But no reply came. “Mogi?” Nelo looked back to see where his floating friend was. There was no sign of him. “Mogi? Mitsunare stop. Where is Mogi?” They halted and turned their horses. “Mogi!” Nelo shouted. “He was right next to me when we left. He couldn’t have got lost.” They sped back towards the cabin on the hills “It’s not like him to leave my side.” “Hmm…We shall find him.” The steeds ran faster backtracking through the forest. “There he is! exclaimed Nelo jumping of the horse and running toward the fallen Mogi curled up on the forest floor. “Mogi what’s wrong?” Nelo said holding him in his arms. “Speak to me.” The little creature looked very weak and felt lighter than a feather. His glowing eyes were half open and it looked as though he was crying. He was alive as he was moaning and murmuring something. Nelo edged in closer to his face trying to make out what he was saying. “Mogi? What is it? What’s wrong?” asked a distressed Nelo, he had never seen the little mage like this. “M…m...master…” he spoke in a gentle whisper. He looked up at Nelo and said the same thing again. “Master? What are you talking about Mogi? It’s me Nelo.” “Nelo…M…master Tenkai…He is dead…” Neloangelo’s heart sunk and his eyes and mouth opened in shock. He remembered that Mages felt the death of another and if there ties between each other was strong they felt it greater than others. “No…” Nelo whispered in shock. “It cannot be…How…” He looked up at Mitsunare. He had his eyes closed and his fists clenched. Nelo looked back at the mage. “Don’t worry Mogi. Come on, it’s ok he would’ve wanted you to continue your journey to become a fully fledged mage. It is ok, you have me little one.” He rested Mogi onto his horse and he got on too. Mitsunare placed his hand on Nelo’s shoulder and then on Mogi’s forehead. “I am sorry my friend, he said to Nelo, do you wish to go the village or do we continue.” “We shall keep going. I know that is what he would have wanted me to do.” He looked up at the sky, “Besides I know he is watching over me, like he always said.” Last edited by Nelo Angelo; 04/26/08 at 12:49 PM. |

| Organization Member | 'Neloangelo was sat in silence for what seemed like an age' I think there's something wrong with that, but I'm tired right now so it could also be some weird exception I don't know/recognize. |
