Uhhhh...please don't kill me!!!! I am so sorry i haven't been on here in forever. It's my schedule - i promise. I'm not lazy, it's not like i'm justn ot writing anymore chappies. In fact, i'm almost done w/ my ff, i already wrote all the chappies except for a few. WARNING - THE CHAPPIES WILL NOT BE SHORT ANY MORE. I can't write short chappies, unless you want there to be, like, 100 chappies. & i'm not going to do that, so, they will be long. & one more thing - the ff is quite long. I think there's something around 55 chappies, but i'm thinking about making some of them optional to read, like, they really don't matter signifigantly, but they're kinda important. I don't just write random stuff in the chappies, it's just that alot happens in the story, so it's long. So, here's the next chappie.

Chappie 9

Once they finally got to the usual spot, Anna stopped before she walked in. She stood still for a moment, and then walked in the gate and through the curtain. Riku followed her, since he didn’t even remember seeing this spot. As soon as Hayner saw Anna, he stood up. “This spot is taken, so you’ll have to find somewhere else.” “Hayner, be quiet! I’m sorry; he does that to everybody who comes in here. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you before; are you new here?” Olette said as she walked over to Anna. “Yea, I’m new, I guess. My name’s Anna.” Hayner, Pence, and Olette looked at Riku to get his name. “Riku.” He said, implying that it was his name. “Well, this is Pence, Hayner, and I’m Olette. Does Sora know that you’re here, Riku? He’s been looking for you.”

“I know. He doesn’t know that I’m here, but he did find me. And, have you seen him or Kairi recently?” He was hoping for a yes, but highly doubted he would get it. “No, we haven’t. Where are they?” Pence asked. “We…kinda don’t know.” Anna said; she couldn’t think of any other way to say it. “That’s kinda funny. Sora used to look for you, and now you’re looking for him.” Hayner said. Olette and Pence looked at him with wide eyes that screamed ‘you’re not helping’. He sat back down in his chair. “I get what you mean. It’s vice versa now.” Anna said, understanding what he meant. Hayner smiled, happy that some one understood. “So, is that the only reason you came here?” Pence asked Riku.

“No. We have to get rid of the heartless in each world. If we lock the door to the world that we’re at, then it keeps heartless from entering that world.” Anna explained. “Do you need any help? I’m an excellent fighter. Just ask them.” Hayner said, pointing to Olette and Pence. They rolled their eyes, and then nodded their heads. Even though he liked to brag, he was okay at fighting. “If you want to.” Riku replied. Hayner stood up and walked over to a shelf. On it laid the Struggle stick he had used to fight with. He then looked at Riku and Anna. “Let’s go, then.” He ran out of the usual spot. Riku turned and followed him out. “Be back soon!” Anna said as she ran out.

In about three hours, the three returned to the usual spot. “That was pretty fun!” Hayner said, surprised that he had had so much fun. “I know!” Anna said. Hayner sat down in a chair and laid his Struggle stick on the floor. “Well, now that you’re done here, you probably need to leave, don’t you?” Olette asked, watching how she said it; she didn’t want them to think she was pushing them to leave. “Yea, guess so.” Riku answered, understanding she meant nothing rude. “Well, come back and visit!” Pence said. “Yea. And bring Sora and Kairi with you next time!” Hayner said, eager to see Sora again.

“We will!” Anna said; like she absolutely knew they would. “See you next time!” Olette said as she waved with Pence and Hayner. Riku and Anna waved, said goodbye, and ran to the gummi ship. As soon as they left, Hayner started to talk. “She was hot! To bad it wouldn’t work out between us. Different worlds.” Olette and Pence rolled their eyes at the same time. “I think even if it could work out, she wouldn’t want it to. Not with you, that’s for sure! But did she remind you of Kairi?” Olette asked. Hayner and Pence both nodded. “She had this glow.” Pence added.

After Anna and Riku locked the door to Twilight Town, they got into the gummi ship and took off. “We’ll go to the next world and stay the night in the ship. It’ll be late when we get there.” Anna looked at the clock. It was nine thirty-seven. She asked Riku what world they were going to. He simply said she’d find out in the morning. So she just forgot about it and relaxed in the comfy seat. In the back of the ship, there was a small bedroom, a small bathroom, a small microwave, fridge, and counter with sink that served as a kitchen, and some cabinets to store stuff in. She walked over and opened one up. Inside, there was some food. She opened a few of the other cabinet doors, and there were food inside all of them.

“I can eat supper now, right? I didn’t get to eat anything today, and I’m starving.” She asked, already pulling out some bread and peanut butter to make a sandwich. “Yea, I’m really hungry, too.” He replied, looking for some jelly in the fridge to make himself a sandwich, also. “It’s right there.” Anna said as she reached past Riku and grabbed some grape jelly out of the fridge. She looked at Riku and said, “I miss stuff that’s right under my nose all the time, too.” Riku closed the fridge door and grabbed some bread. He felt stupid. He never missed stuff like that. And now, he suddenly did. Once they finished eating, they talked the rest of the way to their destination. When they got there, Riku slept on the couch-like row of seats in towards the back of the ship, while Anna slept in the small bedroom.

Hey! I'm glad you like it, KH_Fanatic! Thnx for reading! I have the next chappie! Here it is - no action, but this isn't an action ff. It's more of a...um...well, it's not all about action, but it's not all about relationships. It's a mix of both. Anyways, here's the next chappie! It's a super-long one, so i hope you all like to read. Hope you guys like it!

Chappie 10

Anna woke up. She looked around. She was in her room on Earth. She climbed out of bed and looked out her window. It was nighttime, and the window had the same old view. She looked at the mirror on the wall. “I guess it was, just a dream. But, why did it have to seem so real?”

She felt the all to familiar pain in her throat, the pain that lets you know you’re about to cry. A tear rolled down her face. She tried her best to suppress her emotions, but it wasn’t working. She grabbed her pillow and pushed her face into it just in time to muffle out her sobs. In one week, she had grown to really like Riku. He was already the best guy friend she’d ever had. Her other two best friends were girls, and all the other guys she knew were immature or a lot older than her. But now, Riku was gone. Along with Sora, Kiari, Destiny Islands, her keyblade, and everything else. She wanted it to be real so badly. Sora, Kairi, the Kingdom Hearts video game, everything. But especially Riku. She had always thought he was cute, but before, he was just a character. She what sounded like someone walking towards her and she quickly looked up.

In front of her, stood Axel. The tears immediately stopped flowing. A small flame of hope flickered in her heart. He held out his hand to her. She dropped her pillow and stood up from where she sat on the edge of her bed. He drew her close to him and hugged her. Anna held her arms close to her, in front of her and closed her eyes. He felt like a guardian or an older brother, like some one that watched over her. “Tell me it’s real, Axel. Please.”

He paused for a moment before speaking. “Don’t worry. In the end, everything will be okay. I promise.” She pulled back and looked at him. His eyes had this caring look that made Anna know he was right. Those words seemed to always be right. Anna started to say something, but Axel said something first. “Tell him he better take good care of you. I know he will, but I’ll still keep an eye on you. Ya know, I always wanted a little sibling. I guess now I can at least pretend like I have one.” She felt his arms let go of her. He looked at her and smiled. In two seconds, he turned into dust and disappeared.

“Anna. Anna, come on. It’s time to go. Anna, wake up.” Anna finally woke up to find Riku shaking her arms gently, trying to wake her. She touched Riku’s hand. She felt his skin, and realized that she had actually woken up this time. He looked at her hand, now holding his. He didn’t want her to let go, but he didn’t know why she was holding his hand. Before he could ask, she jumped up and hugged him really tight. “I’m still here.” She said quietly. He wasn’t as surprised as the first time she hugged him, but he was still a little surprised. He put his arms around her and asked her what dream she had. He knew it had to be a dream. She told him about it, and then loosened her arms; afraid she was making it a little hard for him to breathe. He wanted to tell her it didn’t hurt, but he didn’t say anything. She finally let go of him, and he let go of her.

He opened the gummi ship door. He smiled as Anna stared in awe. She looked around and instantly recognized where she was – Neverland. She had always thought this place would be absolutely beautiful if it was real, and now it was. A few fairies spotted her and flew up to her. They were about three inches tall. One fairy flew around to her ear. The fairy said something, but Anna didn’t understand it.

Then one of the fairies realized that Anna probably didn’t speak the fairy language. So she blew some pixie dust in Anna’s face. Anna almost sneezed. The other fairy tried talking to Anna again. This time, Anna understood what she said. Anna nodded her head and the fairies flew down to her hand and tugged at it, implying that Anna was supposed to follow them.

Riku stepped beside her. “What the heck are they doing?” Riku asked, confused by the fairies’ quick movements here and there. “They said they’ll take us to Peter if we follow them.” Anna answered. The fairies nodded their heads. They apparently understood English, but couldn’t speak it. Another fairy flew up to Anna’s ear and said something. Anna looked at the fairy as it flew in front of her face. The fairy blew some more pixie dust in her face. Anna held her breath for a moment so she wouldn’t sneeze. She closed her eyes, and she was slowly lifted into the air. She opened her eyes and smiled at Riku.

Riku stared at her. Why could she fly? Oh, right. Sora had told him about when he flew. Suddenly, a fairy flew in front of him and threw some pixie dust at his face. The other fairies started to laugh. To Riku and Anna, it sounded like mice where laughing, not fairies. Some pixie dust fell from a strand of his hair into his eye. He expected it to sting some, but it didn’t. He looked back at Anna. She was already about ten feet above him. When she saw him looking at her, she flew down to him and looked into his eyes. They were a calm shade of grayish-green, that made her forget about everything else for a moment. She quickly snapped out of the daze, making sure it didn’t look like his eyes captivated her, although they did. She kind of felt like she had seen his eyes before, like she remembered them now.

Riku looked into her eyes the same time she looked into his and unconsciously started to ascend into the air. He was completely unaware that he was flying. She laughed a little bit and motioned for him to look down. He jerked a little at the sight of the ground being about twenty feet away. Anna laughed. “It’s not that hard to fly. You just need pixie dust and you have to think happy thoughts.”

Riku hoped she didn’t realize that he had started to fly because he was thinking about her. Lucky for him, the thought didn’t cross her mind. All four of the fairies came up to them and two pulled at Anna’s hair, while two pulled at Riku’s hair. Anna and Riku both pulled their hair away from the fairies. The fairies motioned for them to follow, then flew into the forest. Anna grabbed Riku’s hand and took off, making sure she didn’t lose sight of the fairies. Riku finally got the hang of flying five minutes later and managed to fly side by side with Anna.

“Anna, this is a really odd question, but, have you ever had a boyfriend? I mean, well, do you have one on Earth?” He asked. He tried to sound his normal voice, but he sounded afraid to ask. Anna laughed some. “That is an odd question. But if you want to know; no, I’ve never had a boyfriend, and I don’t have one now. Why’d you ask?” She said in reply. She had a curious look on her face, which made Riku nervous she knew he liked her. He felt like he’d known her for his whole life, and he even thought he remembered seeing a girl on Destiny Islands that looked like a little kid version of Anna when he was little. Riku looked down for a second. He suddenly remembered seeing the little girl in school, in his classes. He shook out of his train of thought and forgot about it. Then he looked up and said he was just curious. However, even though Anna didn’t let it show, she had realized why he asked.

“Hey! You guys must be Riku and Anna! The fairies told me about you!” Anna and Riku were interrupted. They both looked over to where the voice was coming from. “Umm, Peter, how long have you been there?” Anna asked; afraid he might of listened to their whole conversation. “I just flew over here right before I startled you. How long have you been here?” Peter was sitting on a tree branch a few feet away from Anna. “We just got here.” Riku answered. “Oh, well, I’m Peter Pan! Are you two some of Sora’s friends?” He asked, forgetting that Anna had just said his name. “Yea, we’re some of his friends. Why did you ask? Is he here?” Anna asked, hoping he was. “No. It was just a lucky guess.” He answered, not even thinking about whether or not they might be looking for him.

Out of nowhere, a little fairy zoomed around the three’s heads and flew in the middle of the circle Anna, Peter, and Riku had formed as they talked. “Tink!” Anna and Peter said at the same time. Riku looked clueless. “Who?” He whispered in Anna’s ear, not wanting Peter to hear; he didn’t want to offend him. “Found ya! Found ya! Now I get to hide!” Peter exclaimed. Tink sighed and told him she found him because he hadn’t found her in the hour’s time she gave him to. He sighed and told her it was hard to find such a small thing in a forest. “That’s Tinker Bell; Peter’s fairy.” Anna whispered back in Riku’s ear. The fairy flew up to Riku and looked at his face for a moment. Then she flew over to Anna and looked at her face for a moment. Peter explained she was just seeing what they looked like so she would remember them. She flew around to Anna’s ear and told her that the four fairies from before had told Tink about new visitors. Anna introduced herself and Riku.

Riku then realized that if they kept talking like this, they’d spend a lot more time in Neverland then was necessary. He broke the conversation and told Peter that Anna and him were about to go through Neverland to look around. He also said they would probably like to go alone so they could talk some. Peter called a fairy to guide them around; forgetting that they would not be alone if there was still a fairy flying with them. He then waved and said if they left Neverland, that they had to come back someday and visit. Anna promised that they would, which was good enough for Peter. So Peter tagged Tink and flew off as fast as he could, yelling to Tink that she was ‘it’. Tink waved to Anna and Riku and then raced after Peter. So the only other person left was the fairy that was going to guide them through Neverland. The fairy flew up to Riku’s ear and said something in the fairy language. When the fairy flew around to the front of his face, he pointed to Anna and told the fairy to talk to her. The fairy then understood he didn’t speak her language.

Once the fairy and Anna finished talking, Anna waved to the fairy and it waved back, then zoomed off deep into the forest. Riku started to fly after it. But Anna grabbed him by the foot and pulled him back. “She told me where everything is. We can fly alone. That’s why we waved to each other; she was leaving.” Anna explained. Riku flew back beside her and looked at the ground. He was embarrassed that he hadn’t figured out why they had waved. He managed to look at her, although he felt pretty stupid. “Ya know, I should have explained to you why I hugged you out of nowhere before I actually hugged you. Back at Radiant Garden, remember? That probably feels a little weird, having a girl randomly hug you. I feel pretty stupid; doing things without explaining why I’m doing it until afterwards.” She said, as she looked down at the trees below her.

“Must be that blonde hair of yours. I have seen a few not-so-smart blondes.” Riku joked as he gently pulled on some of her blonde hair. It was a little darker than normal blonde. When they were in the gummi ship the day before, Anna had told him it was called dirty blonde. “Hey, don’t make fun of my hair! You’re supposed to get gray hair when you get old, not when you’re sixteen!” Anna joked back as she grabbed his hand and shoved it back towards him. “My hair’s kinda…blueish-silver. Not gray.” He replied, starting to laugh. Anna started laughing because Riku had a hard time describing his hair. It took him a few seconds to think of a name for the shade of his hair was.

“You aren’t stupid, and you’re not a dumb blonde. You know I was joking, right?” Riku asked when he stopped laughing. “Yea. I know. But if you want me to give my honest opinion on your hair, you’ll have to catch me.” She stuck out her tongue at him and laughed as she dove into the forest. Riku dove right after she did, making sure he didn’t lose sight of her. Even though she made a lot of sudden, quick turns here and there, Riku managed to keep up with her. It was a little hard though; she flew like she’d done it for years. When he finally caught her, they were in front of a huge waterfall.

“Time for your honest opinion!” He said, sarcastically sounding like he was excited to hear it. She turned around to face him. “Fine!” She said sarcastically back at him. Then she changed the tone of her voice. “I like your hair.” She really meant it, and Riku knew she meant it. “Yours is ok, too. Just in case you were wondering.” He said, with a touch of sarcasm. Anna smiled. She knew he was joking. “You said you wanted to talk alone. Here we are, so talk.” Anna said. He was going to ask her if there were any heartless here, but he hadn’t seen any when he chased Anna around half of the Neverland forest.

Anna slowly descended, and Riku followed her. Anna sat down on the bank of a large pond. It had a large river flowing out on the opposite side that the waterfall fell into. The water was crystal clear. Anna looked for any mermaids, and since she saw none in the entire pond, she knew there wouldn’t be any underwater listeners. When Riku sat down, Anna scooted over to give him some more room. “Part of the reason I wanted to go through Neverland alone is so we could check for heartless. But I didn’t see any, and I’m guessing you didn’t either.” Anna nodded her head, indicating that he was right. Anna started combing some of her hair with her fingers. Riku looked at the sky and thought about how when the entire ordeal with Maleficent was over, how they could go back home to Destiny Islands with Sora and Kairi. They might finally get to stay there for a while. He knew they would have to leave home again for something someday. He then started wondering whether Anna would want to stay or not. So he gathered up the courage to ask her. She said she was completely happy. And that she would stay the rest of her life if she could. So they sat like that for a minute, both being completely happy. Then they noticed that they had probably been sitting in the air that whole time, because when Anna looked down, she motioned for Riku to do the same. The ground was a few feet below them. “You just think happy thoughts, and they lift you into the air.” Anna said quietly, quoting the Peter Pan movie. Riku grinned.

“Well, we probably have to go.” Riku said, breaking the silence as he remembered that they couldn’t stay for a long time. Anna stopped combing her hair and looked into his eyes. He looked into hers. They sat for a minute, gazing at each other. Anna’s eyes were the most peaceful eyes he had ever seen. Riku’s eyes looked the same, and Anna thought the same thing about his eyes. “Yea, let’s head back to the gummi ship.” Anna said, being the first to break away from the other’s eyes. She stood up. He stood up also. She then flew up above everything and looked around. When she looked beside her, Riku was there. He pointed out where the gummi ship was. So they both flew back to it.

When they got there, there was a bottle of glowing pixie dust on the ground. Riku picked it up and found a note tied around it with a flower stem. He took the stem off and handed the note to Anna, noticing that there were strange markings that looked like letters on it. He resolved it must be the fairy language. Anna read it aloud. “Sprinkle some on yourself every once in a while. If you only use it when the previous pixie dust wears off. Happy thoughts and pixie dust is all you need to keep flying. Come back and get more when you run out!” At the bottom was Tinker Bell’s signature, along with Peter’s signature that he apparently wrote himself, because it was very sloppy.

“Kairi will love this. She has wanted to be able to fly ever since she was little.” Riku said as he and Anna locked Neverland’s door. Then he opened the gummi ship door. He let Anna go inside first, and then he went inside and shut the door. He set the ship’s coordinates for Beast’s Castle. Anna got some food out and they ate lunch. When they finished eating, they had about five minutes until they reached the castle.

Anna suddenly held out her hand. She closed her eyes and thought about her keyblade. She opened her eyes when she felt its handle in her hand. She put the keyblade down on her lap to look it over. It was mostly silver with some black and blue and a little bit of gold. It had a key chain; the charm was a gold papou fruit. “What’s it called?” Riku asked, curious to see if she somehow knew. “I think it’s called Eternal Light. Yea, that’s what it’s called.” Anna replied as she let the keyblade vanish. She put her arm in her lap. “And you know that how?” Riku asked, not sounding rude, but just curious again. “I just do. How long till we get to Beast’s Castle?” Anna asked as she closed her eyes and leaned back against the seat.

I have to go to my next class & this is the only free time i'll have to do that today. I meant to talke some of it out & save it for the next chappie, or somehow make it shorter, but i didn't have time to edit it, cause the class is almost over. Sorry! I hope it wasn't too freakishly long to finish reading!

Chappie 11

Riku sat in the pilot’s seat and landed the ship. As soon as the door opened, Anna walked out and towards the castle, only a short path away from her. She waited for Riku to catch up to her before she opened the door. When they walked into the foyer, they found a group of heartless awaited them. “These things get so annoying.” Anna sighed as she got her keyblade out and ran right in the middle of them. Riku whipped his keyblade out and started attacking along with Anna. In a minute or two, all the heartless were gone. “How do you know that these things get annoying? You’ve only fought a little bit of heartless.” Anna laughed a little. I know their annoying because they were annoying on the video games. Really annoying. It must be annoying in actuality if their annoying in a video game.” Riku smiled. Anna was always so calm and happy, and it always showed, even in the way she talked.

Some one must of heard the commotion, because they heard footsteps. “Hello? Is anyone down there?” They heard a dainty voice call out. “Belle? We’re two of Sora’s friends.” Anna said loudly, looking around the room for Belle. “Oh! Hello! Is Sora here with you?” Belle asked as she walked towards them. When Anna shook her head saying no, Belle seemed upset for a moment, but quickly snapped out of it. “ So what are your names and what brings you here?” Belle asked in a quiet but cheerful voice. Riku introduced Anna and him and simply said they needed to check the castle for heartless. Belle said they could take their time. She said the prince was in the courtyard if they wanted to talk to him. Riku had no clue what she meant by the prince, but Anna figured that the beast must have transformed back into his normal self. Belle walked upstairs and into her bedroom. When they heard her door shut, they started to look around.

In a few minutes, they found the door to the ballroom. Anna eagerly pushed the doors open, having always thought the ballroom there was gorgeous. Riku followed her in. She slowly walked to the center of the room and stood there, looking around her. Riku stood a little behind her. He looked out the large windows on the other side of the room. Outside, he saw a full moon. He then looked at Anna. She was now facing the windows also. The moonlight shone on her hair, making her hair appear to be silver. They hadn’t bothered with turning on the lights when they walked in, so the only light was from the moon. However, the moonlight flooded the entire room, making it very easy to see.

Anna walked up to the windows and looked at the sky. It seemed funny to her how they just came from a world where the sun was out to a world were the moon and stars were out. “I bet you’ll like the night sky at Destiny Islands, too.” Anna turned around and found Riku right behind her, looking at the sky. She turned back towards the windows. “I bet I will.” She replied simply. Riku felt like wrapping his arms around her, but he only tapped her shoulder and said they should go to the next room.

In an hour, they had covered the whole castle. They decided to look into the courtyard for heartless, but talk to the prince another time. When they started to leave, they ran into Lumiare, and Anna told him to tell Belle they had to leave. Lumiare said he’d deliver the message and walked off. Anna and Riku looked the world’s door and started taking off in the gummi ship.

“Wait! Don’t take off. I think someone’s out there. And it’s not the prince or Belle.” Anna said as she opened the door and crept out. Riku stopped what he was doing and crept out after Anna. He saw a shady figure at the corner of he castle. Anna was a few yards in front of Riku. He quietly got out his keyblade and tried to make his way in front of Anna to protect her. But before he could, the person in the shadows noticed them and started walking towards them. Anna got beside Riku and moved back some. Riku glanced at Anna to know where she was standing. When he looked back at the figure, it had a long spike in each hand. It threw one at Anna, but Riku managed to grab it while it flew by. Riku threw the spike farther off to his side. The person threw the other spike at Anna again, but Riku couldn’t stop it this time. He looked back at Anna just in time to see the large spike go through her body.

Hehehe...I can't tell you! You'll have to figure out tomorrow! & just cause i laughed doesn't mean everything ends out fine. I laugh at everything, so don't count on a happy ending. But don't count on a sad ending - you won't know until tomorrow. I'm trying to space out my ffs at least one everyday. So...i can't guarantee something sad won't happen. Oh, i got another warning for you guys...

WARNING - sad stuff WILL happen in this ff. & not just once. & if i write more ffs, there will most likely be sad stuff in those too. Sad stuff makes storys better. It's true.

Ok...i can't say that someone won't die, & i can't say who it might be...but i never said someone would die, did i? I said that sad stuff will happen, that doesn't always mean someone's gonna die.
Anyways, i have the next chappie! I'm glad you guys have liked this ff so far - hope it keeps up! Here's the chappie! Yeah for long chappies!

Chappie 12

Her face instantly turned white. Her pupils became very small, making her eyes appear mostly white. She looked down and grimaced at the sight of a spear-like metal stick sticking out of her stomach. Her knees became weak. She started to fall, but Riku ran back to her and caught her. He looked away to find the mysterious person, but the figure had disappeared. He looked back at Anna. She couldn’t feel any pain for a moment, but then it hit her. Riku felt a few tears of anger fall from his eyes.

Anna felt like screaming in pain, but she couldn’t find the breath to. Tears freely flowed from her eyes. He almost couldn’t bear to look at her. He picked her up as gently as he could and carried her into the gummi ship quickly. He laid her down on the couch and left her side only to take off and set the gummi ship’s coordinates for Disney Castle at top speed. He knew he could get help there. He got a towel out of the bathroom and tried to wipe some of the blood off of Anna’s stomach. She grabbed his hand and held on to it tightly. Riku squeezed her hand slowly.

He sat on the couch by her head and stared into her eyes. She tried her best not to cry out in pain, but every few seconds, she did. Riku could only say it would be okay as he wiped the cold sweat from her forehead. He could barely find the voice to even say that. In a few minutes, Anna’s grip on his hand came undone, and she passed out. Riku held on to her hand. He looked at the spike sticking out of her stomach. He didn’t dare pull it out; she could bleed to death. He checked her pulse every minute, and noticed it kept getting weaker and slower. “You can’t leave.” He whispered to her, even though she couldn’t hear.

In five minutes, they reached Disney Castle. Riku quickly opened the door and carried Anna inside. Chip and Dale ran to greet him, but when they saw Anna, they ran to get the Queen and Daisy. When Riku finally got inside the castle, he found Queen Minnie and Daisy hurrying towards him. “Oh my goodness! Daisy, go get Melanie, right now!” Queen Minnie almost yelled out of shock at the sight of Anna. Daisy ran off followed by two brooms. Queen Minnie led Riku to a guest bedroom. He laid Anna down on the bed and held her hand, which was limp.

He suddenly felt her fingers move and he almost jumped. Her eyes slowly opened. As soon as they opened completely, tears started flowing again. Queen Minnie stood at the door on the other side of the room, waiting for Daisy. Anna felt his hand and tried her best to hold on to it, but she didn’t even have the strength to wrap her fingers around his. Riku knew this, so he took his other hand and wrapped her fingers around his with it. She tried to talk, but she couldn’t. She managed to find the breath to scream as a shot of pain ran through her body. Then she went out again.

“Heal her the best you can, Melanie.” He turned around to find a young woman who looked to be around the age of twenty walking towards him and Anna. Riku guessed it was Melanie. She calmly asked him if he could move for a minute or so. He forced himself to nod and reluctantly walked around to the other side of the bed. He wanted to stay close to Anna until she was okay. He watched as Melanie used some sort of magic to make the spike disappear. Riku expected her wound to start bleeding, but it didn’t. Melanie took a small pouch out of her pocket. She took a tiny bag full of some of powder out of the pouch. She sprinkled some of the powder on the open wound, and it started to rapidly heal. Melanie smiled again; happy to see it was working. The skin grew back and in a few seconds, it looked like nothing had happened, except for a hole in Anna’s clothing over her stomach, and the bloodstains covering quite a bit of her clothes.

She looked up at Riku. “She won’t wake up until about two hours later. However, she won’t be completely healed. If she drinks this today and tomorrow, she should be fine by tomorrow’s end”. Melanie handed Riku a glass bottle and a small cup. Inside the bottle, there was a green liquid. It looked like it tasted disgusting. “If she drinks some water after she takes it, the bad taste will go away.” Melanie said, knowing what he was thinking by the look on his face. Queen Minnie and Daisy left the room after three brooms came and told them something about Pluto tearing up the garden again.

Melanie explained to Riku that she had been trained her whole life as a healer. She used magic to heal all sorts of wounds. She was now classified as rank four in healing; which gave her the title ‘professional healer’. Rank four was the highest you could go. She told him about how she lived at Traverse Town, where she was born, and that she had been invited by the Queen to show some of the expert magicians at the castle how to heal people better and faster. She also said she would be leaving in a week or so.

Riku thanked her for healing Anna. Melanie simply said you’re welcome. She stood up and walked to the door. Before she left, she turned around and faced Riku. She combed a strand of black hair behind her ear. She had long bangs that fell to either side of her face. The rest of her hair was in a long ponytail. She looked at Riku with her purple eyes. “You should thank yourself, too. If you would of brought her here any later, she would have already died. That was a very serious wound. That spike was full of dark magic, and that’s what almost killed her. She should be very thankful that she has someone like you watching out for her.” She smiled at Riku calmly, and then left. Once he couldn’t hear her footsteps down the hall anymore, he walked back over to the side of the bed that Anna was on.

He sat down beside her and stared at her, while his heartbeat slowly calmed down to its normal rhythm. He gently prodded his finger where the spike had been. He couldn’t feel a scar or anything that would show signs of such a wound. He checked her heartbeat; it was back to normal. He sighed out of relief. He couldn’t live with himself if Anna had died. He shuddered at the thought of her dying. He forgot about it, though as he grabbed Anna’s limp hand. Her fingers were a little cold. Then he remembered the shady figure. ‘Who was that? And why would they attack Anna like that? They had to have known something about her. Why did they attack Anna and not bother attacking me?’ Riku thought about those questions for a while; almost exactly two hours.

Then, he lost all trace of thought as Anna slowly opened her eyes. “Hey. You okay?” Riku asked. “I think so.” Riku helped her as she slowly sat up. She looked down at her stomach and noticed there wasn’t any spike or scar there. “A girl named Melanie came and healed you. But you aren’t completely healed yet; you have to take some of that today and tomorrow. Then you’ll be okay.” Anna looked at the bottle on the other side of the bed. “Gross.” She said. Even though she meant it, Riku still had to laugh.

Anna looked back at her clothes. “I don’t think that stain’s coming out.” She mentioned. Riku said they would ask the Queen where she could get some new clothes. “Thanks for saving me. Oh my gosh, that’ got to be the most cliché thing I’ve ever said. You get the point, right? ” Anna said quietly. She smiled at Riku. “I just got you here in time, that’s all.” Riku said. “Yea, but if you would of got me here too much later, I probably would have died in the gummi ship; you know that.” Anna said, being serious. “Don’t say stuff like that.” Riku said as he squeezed her hand. He hated the thought of Anna being dead. He quickly changed the subject.

“Since you’re awake now, I’m going to check for heartless.” Riku said. “Okay. Let’s go.” Anna said, trying to stand up. Riku gently pushed her shoulder down and made her sit back on the bed. “You’re staying here. If you need anything, just ask one of the brooms.” Riku said, pointing to the open doorway. A few brooms scurried past, and then another one passed by, followed by a few more. Anna unwillingly scooted back on the bed and leaned up against the pillows behind her.

“If I stay here, will you do me a favor?” Anna asked. “Sure.” Riku answered simply. “Go out to the gummi ship and look in the bag Namine gave you. My ipod should be in a pocket on my shorts inside that bag. Can you bring it back to me real quick?” Riku started to nod his head, and then he realized he had no clue what an ipod was. “What does it look like?” He asked. She explained to him that it was a small, rectangular music player with a small screen on the front. There were ipod headphones already plugged into it. Riku nodded his head and ran back to the gummi ship. He came back to the room in two minutes. “This it?” He asked her as he handed her ipod to her. “Yea. Thanks. I would be bored to death stuck in here without it.” She said as she put the little white earphones in. She waited for him to say bye before she turned it on.

About thirty minutes later, Riku was running down the east hall when he almost ran straight into Melanie. He had turned the corner quickly to find her walking right in front of him. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to get in the way. Oh, how’s the girl? She is awake now, right?” She asked calmly. Riku wondered if she was always this calm. “It’s okay. Anna’s fine. I have to go; she’s waiting on me. Bye.” Riku said as he walked around her and kept going. When he was out of sight, Melanie smiled to herself. “She’s lucky to have him there for her. He’s a good kid.”
