Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Omgsh guys i'm so sorry it's taken me this long to get back. I don't have internet & ...yea. it's hard! lol Mk well i have the next chappie...so savor it for (hopefully not a long time) a while until i put the next one up. I want to be really random, so here's my name in Korean! - 애ㅏㄴ Yep, that's it! Chapter 66 “Dane, who were your masters?” Dane looked away. “Dane, tell me. Please.” Anna said, sounding like she was almost pleading for him to. There was a moment of silence that seemed to stretch on for an eternity. But finally, Dane broke the silence. “Xemnas and Maleficent.” He answered quietly. Anna staggered back a step. “What? Why, why would you do that? You weren’t really going to kill us, were you? Are you going to kill my friends?” She asked, her voice now nervous and scared. The fact that Maleficent and Xemnas were his masters seemed impossible, and it scared Anna. Dane looked back at her with cold eyes. “Yes, I’m going to kill your friends. Don’t try to stop me, either. I was given orders to kill them, and to kill anything or anyone that got in my way. That includes you.” He sounded harsh and cold now. Anna stepped back some more and summoned her keyblade silently. Dane smirked. “You’re not in my way right now; I’m not going to kill you.” She held her keyblade tightly and moved into her fighting stance. She wasn’t confused anymore. Dane wasn’t a friend. He had just proved it. Dane was a villain. He took a step towards her, but she didn’t budge. “Anna, I…” His now quiet voice sounded hurt. Anna let her keyblade vanish and she stood still. “I don’t want to hurt them, but I…” He sounded hurt and confused. “Then don’t hurt them. Your masters were evil, and they’re dead. They can’t make you do anything. You don’t have to kill us. There’s no use in it.” She said persuasively. Dane was confused. He had been planning to kill Sora, Riku, and Kairi for a long time now. He never planned on killing Anna, even though he was told to do that, too. Maybe he really didn’t have to kill them. Anna sounded like she knew she was right. He wanted to trust her. Maybe she was right, and maybe he could trust her. He walked up to Anna, who stood still. “Anna…” He was quiet, almost whispering. He gently brushed his fingers along the side of her face. She didn’t know what to do. She didn’t like him, but she didn’t hate him, either. All he was right now, though, was her friend; her friend who wanted them to be more than friends, and who was a part-time villain. “Dane, I don’t –” Dane cut her off. “Why?” He asked quietly. He knew what she was going to say. She didn’t like him. But he liked her so much, and she seemed like the most amazing and beautiful girl he’d ever met. “I like him, Dane. Why can’t you just accept that?” She turned her face away so he wasn’t touching her anymore. “Can’t you just forget about him?” Anna looked at Dane like he was crazy. “No, I can’t just forget about him! Why would I even want to? If you really care about me like you say you do, you would stop trying to separate Riku and me. I’m happy with him, Dane. If you care so much about me, why don’t you want me to be happy?” Dane didn’t know what to say. She seemed right, like she usually did. “You can’t even give me and you a chance together?” He asked quietly. Anna stood in silence. “No. It wouldn’t even work out, and I don’t want to anyway. I’m taken, Dane.” She felt like saying she was sorry, but she wasn’t. She was only sorry for him because she knew he was hurting. Dane looked away. He felt like someone punched him in the stomach so hard he couldn’t breathe. Anna silently took a few steps backwards. “Dane, promise me you won’t hurt Sora, Riku, or Kairi. Please.” Dane didn’t speak, and he didn’t move. “Dane, please. Promise me you won’t hurt them. Please.” She sounded like she was begging now. Dane still was silent. She walked to him and looked at his face. She saw a teardrop fall from his eye to the floor. She bit her lip. She hated seeing him this way, but there was nothing she could do. “Dane, please.” She pleaded. “I’ll promise if you do one thing.” She paused before answering. “What is it?” He looked up at her and moved closer to her. He put his hands on her arms gently. She wanted to move away, but he was too strong. “Just listen.” He looked into her eyes tenderly, although she looked into his coldly. “What?” She asked quietly. He didn’t say anything. She looked down to try to think of something that might get convince him to just promise not to hurt anyone. But she couldn’t think of anything. She sighed inwardly and decided she really couldn’t convince him at the moment. Suddenly, she felt her chin being lifted up by Dane’s fingers. She resentfully looked up at him. He brushed his fingers along the side of her face and then moved them on her shoulder. She wanted to slap his hand off, but she didn’t. She had no idea what he was going to do, but she decided she would have to do it for her friends. But she was not going to let him do anything wrong to her – she’d kill him if he tried to do anything bad. He leaned forward towards her, and she closed her eyes while thinking, “If you kiss me, I’m going to kill you. I’m so going to kill you if you kiss me.” Suddenly, she barely felt warm breath on her ear. She opened her eyes and realized Dane was about to whisper something in her ear. She waited for what seemed like an eternity for him to say something before he finally did. “I want you to be happy. I love you, enough to let you choose who you want to be with. But please, never forget this: I love you, Anna. Even if you can never love me back.” He whispered calmly into her ear. She was taken back. Did he just say he loved her? And he was going to let her choose who she wanted to be with? She didn’t know what to think of him; again. He leaned back and removed his hand from her shoulder. He turned and opened a portal a few feet away from Anna. She looked at it, afraid to look at Dane. “Remember me.” He said quietly as he started walking away. He sounded sad, and it hurt Anna. She looked at him, and then at the portal. She didn’t like him, but she couldn’t just watch him leave. It didn’t feel right. She knew where Riku was; she could find him easily. But if Dane left now, she might not find him again. She ran after Dane as the portal closed behind her. He turned around and she saw I tiny glimmer of hope in his eyes. That hurt her, too. “Can’t we still be friends?” She asked. The glimmer of hope in his eyes disappeared. He paused before answering. “You should go home. It’s late. Your friends are waiting for you.” He didn’t sound upset, but he was so upset he thought he’d break down. He knew she liked Riku, and it hurt him more than he’d ever hurt before. “Dane, why not? Why can’t we be friends, at least?” She ignored his last statements. “You friends hate me. You should hate me, too. I was going to kill them. I killed Kairi. They’re going to come after me to kill me. That’s how it is.” He said. Anna bit her lip. He was right; Sora, Riku, and Kairi weren’t too fond of Dane. But, if he changed, and he was evil anymore, he’d be fine. They wouldn’t want to kill him. He could maybe even live on Destiny Islands. They’d understand if he changed. But he would have to change; that’s what Anna was worried about. “Can you change?” She asked quietly. He didn’t answer. She waited patiently for a response, but no response came. “Dane, you can change. I think you might have already changed a lot. But can you change completely? You can’t belong to the dark realm anymore.” She hoped he would say something, but he didn’t. “Dane, please. I don’t want to have to say goodbye. Can I keep at least on friend from Earth? Will you let me do that?” Still, he was silent. Anna didn’t know what to do. She felt a teardrop run down her cheek. She didn’t want to loose another friend. She couldn’t handle it anymore. She started crying softly. She turned her face and covered her mouth with her hand, hoping for some reason Dane wouldn’t hear her. It was too much for her to handle at the moment. Her family didn’t remember her, her old friends didn’t remember her, she had to figure out how to save Earth from the heartless, and she was separated from Riku, Sora, and Kairi again. And now she had to hurt Dane by letting him know she didn’t like him, she couldn’t convince him to stop being part of the dark realm, and she was about to loose her last friend from Earth. Dane heard her crying. Even though it was soft, it was slowly growing louder. He felt bad for he, and he realized he had made things worse for her. “Anna, I…” He wanted to make her feel better, but he didn’t know what to say. He touched her arm, since that’s the only thing he could think of to help her, but he didn’t know how it could help. She suddenly fell into him and cried out loud. He was startled at first, and still didn’t know what to do, but he wrapped his arms around her without even realizing it. She didn’t seem to care. He held her, feeling sorry for her, but he was upset inside. This was probably the only time he would get to hold her in his arms. He cared for her, but Anna didn’t return kind that of care to him. He shook the thoughts out of his mind and forgot about them. He and Anna couldn’t be together, and he suddenly realized he’d just have to deal with it. She cried there, in his arms. She needed to know at that moment that someone understood what she was feeling, and Dane somehow did. She held her arms close to her and closed her eyes. Hot tears rolled down her face and onto Dane’s jacket. “Dane, please.” She said quietly as she cried. He didn’t answer at first, but he couldn’t say no. He felt horrible and guilty of some serious crime. “Okay.” He whispered in her ear. She didn’t stop crying, but she felt better. After a minute or so, Anna stopped crying. Dane let her go and she wiped her eyes and face dry of the tears that still lingered. “I’m sorry. I really didn’t mean to do that. I don’t usually do that.” She said, embarrassed. “It’s okay. Are you okay, though?” He asked. “Yea, I’m fine.” She answered, sniffing a little. She wiped her eyes one last time and hoped her eyes weren’t seriously puffy and red from crying. They were red and a little puffy, but Dane still thought she was just as beautiful as she had always been. “Thanks.” She said, out of nowhere. “What for?” He asked, confused. “For not telling me to stop crying or tell me to suck it up or anything like that. And thanks for understanding. Girls just have to cry sometimes. It’s just a girl thing.” She explained with a sweet smile. “It’s okay. Why would I tell you to suck it up, anyway? You’ve got a lot on your shoulders right now. You don’t have to do it all by yourself, Anna.” Dane hoped she wasn’t trying to fix everything on her own. “I know; it’s just that there’s so much that’s wrong, and I don’t know how to change any of it.” She looked down. “Hey, it’s okay. You’re not alone in this.” Dane assured her with a confident look in his eyes. “Thanks.” She said with another sweet smile. She hugged Dane for a moment, and he hugged her back. Dane was surprised at himself, because this wasn’t the way he felt when he held her before. It felt like the kind of hug friends give each other, and that was exactly what it was. They were friends, and that was all. Dane smiled slightly, realizing he would be fine just being her friend – even that was enough. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Mmk, here it is! Enjoy! Chapter 67 “So, where are we supposed to look now? We’ve been all over town, and no one’s seen her. Where is she, in New Zealand or something?!” Emily sighed. “Where?” Riku had no clue where New Zealand was, or what it was. “It’s a place on the other side of the planet. Somewhere around there. I doubt she’s there; I wasn’t serious.” Emily answered. Bethany yawned. “Yea, what do we do now? It’s going on eight, and I’m really hungry. My parents will wonder where I’ve been if I’m not home soon.” She said as she yawned again and held her arms around her waist in hopes of making the oncoming hunger pains cease. The three of them were walking on a sidewalk after looking for Anna and Dane. They’d looked everywhere, but there was no sign of them. Riku sighed inwardly; Earth was too big. It was far bigger than the worlds he was used to. Why did Dane have to take her like that? He just carried Anna off, and no one knew where they were. And there were a lot of places they could be. Riku felt anger boiling inside him. “I’m going to kill him.” He muttered under his breath. “You guys should go home. I have to go back to my world tonight. I’ll be here tomorrow. We’ll figure out what we’re going to do then.” He said before Bethany’s stomach started growling again. It had done so a few times previously, and each time, she wrapped her arms around her stomach and her face turned bright pink with embarrassment. “Where are we going to meet?” Emily asked. “We could meet at the park. It’s only a few blocks away from my house, and it’s even closer to your house.” Bethany told Emily. “Okay. Be there by ten, and don’t be late.” Riku said as he turned to leave. He normally wouldn’t have cared if they were a little late, but he had to find Anna. Even though Bethany and Emily didn’t seem like they would be much help at all, he needed someone that knew their way around Earth, and they were pretty much the only choice he had. He hoped they would be able to fight heartless if they had to, since they were bound to run into more. “Okay. See ya.” Emily waved and started walking down the sidewalk. “Bye, Riku!” Bethany said as she followed Emily. Riku gave a half wave and kept walking. He heard giggling from Bethany a few moments later. “You are such a fangirl. A Riku fangirl, that is.” He heard Emily say. “You talk so loud! Be quiet! And I am not! I don’t even like him.” Bethany said. Riku rolled his eyes and droned their fading conversation out of his hearing. He would have to ask Anna how they could possibly be her friends. They were so annoying at times, but mostly Bethany, and not so much Emily. But Bethany seemed to be pretty smart, while Emily, well, wasn’t as smart as her. Emily appeared to be more of the logical person, at least when she out some effort into it. Bethany had to put some effort into thinking, too, or else she didn’t seem very smart. Riku had been told that girls matured faster than boys, but he doubted it when he saw how these girls acted. He looked around until he found a place where he wouldn’t be seen to open a portal. He finally found a public park that was empty of people. It was getting pretty dark, but Riku still didn’t want to do it in the middle of an open park. He found a pavilion that had bathrooms in it, and went in the men’s. He made sure no one was there, and quickly opened a portal; the bathroom was disgusting and smelled horrible. He walked through quickly and found himself in a hospital room. He turned around, and to his dismay, there wasn’t anyone there. Not Kairi, not Sora. He frowned slightly and sat down on the bed behind him. This was Kairi’s hospital room, right? He looked at the clipboard attached to the end of the bed he was sure she had been in. It had Kairi’s name on it. He stood up and walked to the phone on the other side of the room. He found the front desk on the phone list and called it. “Hello?” Riku paused before saying anything; he almost forgot to speak. “There was a girl that recently got shot, and she was in room 324C. Is she still in the hospital?” He asked a bit nervously. “Hold on, let me check.” The woman on the other end of the line sounded young, and she definitely sounded like she was having a bad day. It took about five minutes, but Riku guessed that was because the lady sounded like she was in no hurry at all when she talked on the phone. “Yea, she’s still in the hospital, and she’s still in that room. Aren’t you calling from that room, anyway? Is she in there?” Riku paused. The phone must have had some type of hospital caller ID, or else she wouldn’t know he was calling from there. He looked around and still saw no one. “Um, no, she’s not -” Riku cut his sentence off when he saw Kairi walk slowly out of the bathroom, rubbing her eyes. “Never mind. She’s here.” Riku hung up the phone before the lady could tell him he was an idiot. “Riku?” Kairi sounded like she just woke up. She rubbed her eyes again and walked over to him. “Hey.” He said with a smile. She gave him a quick, lazy hug and flopped on her bed. “Are you okay?” Riku asked as he sat down on the bed behind him. “Just tired. They had to do surgery to fix some hole in something like my intestine, or something.” Kairi sounded like she had no clue what she was even in the hospital for. “When’d they dot he surgery?” Riku asked, wondering if she was groggy from the anesthesia. “Earlier today. Not too long after you left. Sora used Curaga on me a few times, so it doesn’t hurt anymore, but I’m tired.” She lay on her side and curled up a little. She had on a hospital gown, and she pulled her covers over her to keep herself from getting cold. “Where’s Sora?” He asked. “In the cafeteria. Getting his lunch; he hasn’t eaten yet. Said he wasn’t hungry until now.” Kairi yawned. “He should be back in a little.” She said again. “You need to get some rest, Kairi. Go ahead and sleep; you can barely keep your eyes open.” Kairi smiled a little and closed her eyes. “Tell Sora I feel fine, and tell him I’m telling the truth.” She told Riku before falling asleep. Riku sat there for a few minutes, doing nothing but thinking. He lay on the bed he was sitting on and propped his head against the pillows. Where could Dane and Anna be right now? There were too many places he could’ve taken her - anywhere on the other worlds, and anywhere on Earth. And from what Emily and Bethany had told him, Earth was giant compared to worlds like Destiny Islands and Radiant Garden. He sighed and told himself Anna would be okay, even though he couldn’t completely stop worrying about her. She was with Dane, and Dane wasn’t exactly a good person. He wasn’t a good person at all. “You’re in my spot.” Riku looked over and saw Sora walk in, content after eating. “Find another spot.” Riku said. “You’re such a nice person.” Sora said sarcastically. “I know.” Riku watched as Sora sat in a chair against Kairi’s bed and sighed. “So, what happened on Earth? Where’s Anna?” Sora asked. Riku just lay there for a moment, trying to think some things through. “Riku?” Sora wanted an answer. “We found Anna’s friends, we all got in a car wreck, a giant heatless showed up, I figured out I can fly, Dane showed up, he took Anna, I killed the heartless, Anna’s friends and I looked everywhere for her and Dane, we didn’t find them, Anna’s friends went home, and I came here. The end.” Riku said with almost an annoyed yet sad tone to his voice. Sora looked confused, even though he understood. “Why do we always have to get separated? It’s always us.” Sora said, implying to himself, Kairi, Riku, and Anna. “Dane took Anna because he wanted us out of the picture; all he wants in his picture is him and Anna. But Anna’s not too happy about that, and she probably would’ve stopped him from taking her if she wasn’t unconscious. He won’t hurt her, at least. He likes her too much. But Anna doesn’t like him, and this is the worst.” Riku slouched and let everything soak in. He didn’t want to let it soak in, but he had to. There was so much - almost too much. “I’m going to guess that you aren’t too fond of Dane, either. None of us are. I’m really sorry, Riku. We’ll find Anna. As soon as Kairi’s good to leave, we’ll go find her, and we’ll kill Dane or whatever.” Sora said. He grinned when he said they’d kill Dane; he wasn’t serious, but he knew they might end up having to kill Dane. “Kairi told me to tell you she felt fine, and that she was telling the truth. She was really tired, but that’s the only thing wrong with her.” Riku changed the subject, wanting to get Dane off his mind. Sora looked over at Kairi, who slept peacefully, and he smiled. He wanted to hold her hand, but she had her hands tucked under her pillow. “When will she be ready to leave?” Riku asked. “A day or two, if the doctors let her out.” Sora answered, looking back at Riku. Riku nodded in acknowledgement and closed his eyes. “What time is it?” Riku asked; his eyes still closed. “Ten forty. You look pretty beat up. Is it from the car crash?” Riku thought before answering. “Yea. I’m fine, though.” Sora knew Riku always said he was fine, even if he wasn’t. “Like always.” Sora joked. Riku grinned, but that was all. He was tired, and he was sore and in pain from the car incident. “You need to get some sleep. I’ll take the chair tonight.” Sora said as he noticed Riku looked like he could fall asleep at any moment. “Thanks. Night.” “Night.” Sora replied. They never really said, “Good night.” They always said, “Night.” It was actually because when they said, “Good night” quickly, it sounded like just, “Night.” They all knew they meant “Good night”, so they just left it at that. “Hey, Riku?” Sora had one last question. “Huh?” Riku replied, sounding like he was already half asleep. “How do you know when you love a girl?” Sora and Riku were pretty open about things like this, and Sora wasn’t uncomfortable asking such a question at all. Riku knew he was referring to Kairi. He thought for a minute. “When you love someone, you care about them enough to die for them, and even enough to suffer things worse than death. If you love a girl, you feel the same, but you feel it just a little more. Just enough to realize it.” Sora thought about the answer for a minute. He then had one more ‘last question’. “Do you feel that way about Anna?” Sora knew Riku wouldn’t say he loved a girl unless he would die for her right then and there. He didn’t know what to expect, but he waited patiently. That is, he waited patiently for a while, but no answer came. “Riku?” Sora waited for a reply, but he didn’t get one. Riku had fallen asleep. Sora sighed and closed his eyes, and in a minute, he fell asleep, also. |
