Chapter 8
The Darkest Sides We Never See
Ven took deep, heavy breathes as he leaned against the wall inside on of the run down buildings. It had become obvious quickly that he was no match for Shatter. His broken keyblade was no match for his complete one and he had superior strength and speed. After a while Ven abandoned the fight and took to running, maybe he could get a surprise attack on Shatter and try to even the odds. The only weapon he possessed was his broken keyblade, although it was more like a rod with a jagged end on it and an incomplete guard around the hilt. It wasn't much but he held onto it tightly.
"Ven! Oh Veeeeeeeeeeeen!" Shatter called out outside "Come out and play!"
Ven held his breath as he heard Shatter's footsteps echoing on the hard ground outside. The footsteps kept walking and soon Ven didn't hear them as they faded off into the distance. He released his inheld breath and took a step forward off the wall. CRASH! The wall behind Ven exploded and small chunks of rock and wood flew by him.
"Found you." Shatter said right by Ven's ear. Ven barely turned quick enough to block the oncoming attack with his broken blade. Shatter pushed down and brought his face inches away from Ven's "C'mon Ven. I thought this was gonna be fun."
Ven shifted Shatter's blade to the right and ducked left. He ran past Shatter and out into the streets, he didn't know where he was going just so long as he could hide, and quickly. Suddenly Shatter appeared beside him and began running with him. Ven jumped up to his right, pushed off the wall of a building, and flipped over Shatter onto the roof of a decapitated books store. Ven began running and jumped from one roof to another as fast as he could.
"Do you know why I hate you Ven?' Shatter asked appearing in Ven's path "It's because you're so weak!" and he moved forward to attack.
Ven could just barely keep up as Shatter swung his keyblade from the left then began a series of jabs that got faster the longer he was going, Shatter laughing manically all the while. Ven couldn't dodge one and found himself getting hit by every blow Shatter was throwing. The hits stopped and he found himself at the edge of a three story building. Shatter pointed the tip of his keyblade at Ven's neck and held it there.
"And it's not that you're just physically weak either." he stated turning deadly serious "I'm not just the dark part of your heart, I"m all your true feelings. Your hate for these islands, your loathing of Terra, and your disgust for Sora."
"What are you talking about?" Ven asked
"Oh you need it explained? Fine then!" Shatter began "Deep down you hate the Destiny Islands. The same routine, day in day out, nothing ever changing. It's stifling here, your face getting pushed into the reality that if you can't get out this is what you're doomed to for the rest of your life. As long as you stayed here nothing you did would ever make a real difference. And about Terra, you should already know. He betrayed you, he gave into the darkness and sided with Maleficent. He beat you down and took three of the princesses of heart to her. And what really ticked you off was that he was a keyblade master like you. And what's pretty pathetic about the whole thing is that when he realized his wrong ways
you forgave him!"
"No! I love the Destiny Island, and I forgave Terra because he's my friend!" Ven denied
"And let's not forget Sora." Shatter continued seeming to not notice Ven's denials "The little brat, he doesn't even know dad so you're the one who's gotta fill in the blank. Following you around everywhere you go, never leaving you alone. And the worst part is that when mom dies you're stuck with him until he grows up."
"SHUT UP!" Ven yelled knocking away Shatter's keyblade with his free hand and moving in to stab him.
Shatter smiled with amusement, stepped back to avoid the stab, grabbed Ven's arm, brought his keyblade up, and slammed it into Ven sending him down through the roof and floors of the building until he was on the ground floor. Shatter looked down through the large hole created and found Ven lying on a pile of debris.
"It hurts cause it's the truth!" he called down "As much as you love the brat there's a part of you that despises him cause he doesn't have those memories of dad! He's completely pain free and he's got you to be his father figure!" Shatter jumped down to Ven and landed on his feet. Ven stood up slowly and looked at Shatter who was looking at him with disgust "Look at you Ven. You were once so strong. No Heartless could beat you and now you don't even have the power of the keyblade anymore."
Shatter stabbed his keyblade into the floor, walked over to Ven, and grabbed the broken blade from his hand. He walked back to his keyblade, threw Ven's on the ground, pulled his out and smashed it into the broken rod. What was left of Ven's keyblade shattered into thousands of pieces across the floor. He looked at Ven who watched the spectacle then ran out the door of the building. He wasn't just running from Shatter, he was running from the truth.
Why are you running? A part of Ven asked.
Because I can't beat him. Because it's all true. He answered
So you're scared of the truth? I hate the truth. It'll hurt the people I care about. You cannot always protect the people you care about from getting hurt. I can at least make sure I don't hurt them. That's impossible. At some point in everybody's life, they hurt the things they care about. It is unstoppable and undeniable.And the funny thing is, that's a truth too.
Ven stopped in his tracks and stood still. The truth would hurt the people he cared about, but that was inevitable. He couldn't stop how he felt but he could appologize for it and hope they forgave him. No, they would forgive him. Shatter came walking up to Ven from behind. He stopped several feet away and looked at him. Ven turned around and faced Shatter with a stern expression.
"So you've decided to stop running? Finally!" Shatter said raising his keyblade "Now I can kill you." he ran forward to Ven who didn't move.
Shatter closed in quickly and raised his keyblade for the finishing blow. Suddenly light appeared in Vens hand and Shatter's keyblade disappeared from his hand and reappeared in Ven's. Shatter stopped but Ven was already moving in for his strike and they were too close for Shatter to dodge. CRSSSH! Ven pushed his keyblade forward and it broke though the shattered part over where Shatter's heart would be. He kept pushing and it broke out the other side of Shatter's armor, leaving Ven right in front of him with a triumphant look.
"Damn! Looks like you can face the truth." Shatter said falling to his knees, the keyblade still buried in his chest "You win,
this time."
Still holding onto the keybade, Ven watched as Shatter began to glow slightly and then fall apart like he was made of sand. From the place where Shatter was dissipating the islands seemed to go back to normal, plants came back to life, the buildings were repaired and regained their usual cheeriness, the sky returned to it's normal blue hue with puffy clouds everywhere, and finally the ocean became a normal cooling, calm blue that reflected the sun in the sky.
"You won't have a next time." Ven said as the last bits of Shatter blew away in the wind. A light enveloped him and he disappeared from his restored personal paradise, the world within his soul.

CRASH! BANG! BOOM! The spells Aqua sent at her dark copy were knocked away and hit different spots in the dead garden. The dark copy had knocked them out of her way with her keyblade and continued forward at Aqua.
"
Fira*! Blizzaga*! Thundaga*!" Aqua yelled sending out more spells from her hands, her broken keyblade was tied to a noose in her belt.
"
Reflect*!" the dark copy yelled and a dome barrier sprang up around her. Aqua's spells hit the barrier and exploded but he dark copy kept coming. When she got close she began a series of strikes at Aqua.
Aqua pulled her broken keyblade off the noose and blocked the attacks. She had the speed to keep up with the dark copy but she was more of a magic user than a physical fighter, she didn't have the strength to stand up to a barrage of attacks. It seemed what she lacked the dark copy had, it had all her knowledge of spells and her speed but it excelled in physical prowess. After one more attack Aqua jumped out of the way and dodge rolled a distance away. She slipped her keyblade back into it's noose and took out a piece of chalk she always carried with her. She quickly drew a circle with a star fitted into it, on the edges of the star she wrote letters in some ancient language.
"
Blizzaga*!" the dark copy yelled.
Aqua dodged the
Bizzard* spell, done with her drawing and dodged to her left. She got a good distance away and drew the same design again. Once she was done with the second one she went to her left, avoiding more spells, and drew it again. Finally she finished it with a fourth design, looking from an overview all the designs seemed to be the four points of a square. Aqua put away the chalk and ran tot he center of the designs.
"From you are all things born! To you all things return! Your child now beseeches you, come protect her and defeat her enemies! I call you forth, Gaia!" Aqua said. The symbols began to glow and a large circle appeared going through all of them. The symbols began to move one way along the circle as Aqua concentrated her magic through it.
Suddenly a thick pillar shot up out of the ground. Spikes formed on the side of it that faced the dark copy and they shot out at her. The dark copy used her keyblade and smashed them all until a large hand made of rock grabbed her and lifted her into the air. It slammed the copy back down and a series of pillars rose from the ground and fell on top of her, burying her in a mound of rock and dirt. Aqua took a deep breath once it was all done and the symbols faded away. She turned around until she heard a loud THUMP.
The mound split in half and both halves were thrown in opposite directions. "Hahahahahah! Okay, now that was fun." said the dark copy standing right were the mound had been "How long has it been since you last used that summoning? Two . . . three years?"
"What are you?" Aqua asked surprised.
"Me? I'm everything you're not. All your anger, all your hate, all your jealousy, and all your truth."
"Truth?"
"That's right. I know everything about you, including how you really feel about being the princess of Radient Gardens. And I know why you're with Ven."
The copy bushed of a bit of dirt from her left shoulder and looked Aqua straight in the eyes. Aqua was suddenly filled with fear. Could the copy really be telling the truth, was it some part of Aqua herself. Suddenly the copy disappeared and jumped right in front of Aqua. She gave Aqua a cruel smile and knocked her into the air with her keyblade. While Aqua was in the air she appeared over her and twisted around, hitting Aqua again and sending her flying towards the ground. Aqua ragained her composure at the last second and recovered by flipping off of her hands when she reached the ground, but the copy was right behind her with more strikes. They all hit sending her sliding back along the ground until she crashed into the stone wall.
"C'mon, that's all you got? All those years of training and you're holding back
now." the copy taunted "No wonder you can't beat me. The little princess is still running, still hiding. Using everyone she can as an excuse, even the one she claims to love."
"I told you!" Aqua said pulling herself out of the crater in the wall "I'm not using Ven! I do love him!"
"Tsh, whatever." the copy said disregarding what Aqua said "It doesn't matter anyway, you're not leaving here. You're too pathetic, Terra and Ven were counting on you to back them up in that fight against Xehanort and all you did was sit around while Ven got frozen."
"You wanna see pathetic!" Aqua yelled losing her temper. She pulled off her gloves revealing two symbols on the backs of her hands. One was a red bird of fire holding a bright red gem in it's claws on her right hand. The other was a tiger twisted around a deep blue gem on her left. The tatoo's began to glow the second she revealed them and a large concentration of magic began to surround her.
Suddenly her entire right arm caught on fire. It stopped at her shoulder and flew behind it, seeming to form a wing. The fire on her hand formed itself into a three blade claw. Her left arm became coated in ice. It encased her left arm like a piece of armor and ended with a spiky shoulder. On her left hand it covered her fingers and made them each sharp forming a five fingered claw that moved with her.
In a flash she vanished and reappeared behind her dark copy. The copy turned around and blocked Aqua's flame claw with her keyblade but couldn't stop the ice claw. She was knocked back by the power behind the attack and was left with four long gashes across the chest of her armor. Aqua extended her right arm forward and the fire on it gathered up and formed a fiery bird. It gave a flap of it's wings and shot forward at the dark copy.
"
Bizzaga*!" she yelled just before the fire bird reached her. Her spell hit the bird dispersing it around her and continued on to Aqua.
Aqua raised her left arm and the Blizzard spell was absorbed into the ice on her arm. She made a fist and slammed it into the ground. In a second the ground around the dark copy became ice and large ice spikes rose from it, aiming straight for the copy. They hit and lifted her into the air as they hit from all angles but they couldn't pierce her armor and just held her in the air. Another fire bird, larger than the first, came at the copy and hit full force. A large explosion shook the dead garden and cast dust over half of it.
Aqua relaxed her stance as the dust began to settle. CRSCH! A cut appeared on her left arm. She didn't feel anything until a few seconds after when her blood began to leak out onto the ice, painting it a light crimson. She looked behind her to see the copy standing with her back to Aqua, her keyblade was held out at an angle allowing the small amount of blood on it to drip off the tip onto the ground.
"What part of 'I know everything about you' didn't you understand?" the copy asked turning around to look at Aqua with a bored expression "That includes all the magic, summoning, and skills you know, and how you use them too." Aqua backed up a step as the ice armor regenerated, closing up the gash made on it and stopping the bleeding of her wound "You are soooo stupid. You're not even worth the effort to kill anymore. It's time my door opened, I want to leave." and the copy began walking towards Aqua.
"There's a doorway out of here?" Aqua asked taking steps backward.
"Of course there's a doorway out of here. How else do you think ether of us would be able to leave?"
"Then why didn't you just leave when I first got here?"
"Because" the copy stopped to explain "the doorway for me to leave is within you. And your doorway to leave is within me. But they're both locked, my keyblade opens the lock in you and yours, if you still had a complete one, would have opened the lock in me." the copy continued forward.
Aqua continued to step backwards away from the dark copy. As she did she fired
Fire* after
Blizzard* spell at her, but the copy just swatted them away with her keyblade. Aqua bumped against something and found herself up against the wall with the copy still walking at her. Suddenly the copy sprung forward with blinding speed and grabbed Aqua by her neck. Aqua felt her magic and strength getting drained out of her the longer the copy kept ahold. The copy's keyblade suddenly became pitch black as she held it at chest level and pointed right at Aqua's heart.
"What are you panicing for?" the copy asked "I'll take it all away. The annoying town, the useless throne, all the simpering, whining, pathetic people. And you'll be free. Free to be you. Free to be just another face in a crowd. Not princess Aquata de Radiata anymore, just Aqua. It's what you've always wanted." and she thrust her keyblade forward into Aqua's heart, but it didn't come out of her back. The keyblade had disappeared into a small white portal that had appeared over Aqua's heart. Aqua felt pain but it didn't matter, she was quickly slipping into unconsciousness. "And don't worry about Ven." the copy whispered, leaning in close, right next to Aqua's ear "I'll take very good care of him."
Suddenly something in Aqua awoke and in a flash she regained consciousness and all her magic and strength. She grabbed the copy's keyblade and it changed from black to pure white and the copy let go as if it was burning hot. Aqua pulled it out of the portal in her chest and moved in close to the copy. SCNSH! In one move Aqua buried the keyblade in the copy's chest where a black portal had opened. She held it still for a second then turned it and a large KATHUNK resounded, like the sound of a keyhole locking.
The copy stared at Aqua with utter shock on her face as she, too, slowly began to dissolve into a golden sand. A strong wind blew and picked up much of the sand and took it across the garden. Wherever the sand blew the plumage would come back to life and anything that was broken would be reapaired. When it was all done and the copy had completely dissolved away a doorway appeared infront of her. It was a simple white stone doorway and it opened up to a blinding white light. Aqua took one last looke around at the sunny, cheery garden and walked through the doorway.

CRASH! BANG! BOOM! GONG! Terra came flying through the wall of the bathroom and right into the stairway that led to the attic. His copy stepped through the large hole in the wall and looked down at him, lying on the floor. He reached down and picked Terra up by the neck of his shirt. WHACK! Terra balled up his hand and punched the copy across the face. The copy let go of Terra as his head was snapped to the right. Terra was about to throw another punch but there was a small flash and the copy hit him with a keyblade, his keyblade. The strike sent Terra up into the air and into the attic.
"Cheap shots Terra? You never seemed like the type." the copy said as he came up the stairs and stepped into the dusty room.
Terra turned over onto his stomach and stood up to face the copy. It gave him a grin as it walked up to him. Terra balled up his hand again and threw another punch. It hit but it seemed to have no effect on the copy. The copy grabbed Terra's right arm and slashed across him with his keyblade. Terra flew back with his feet still on the ground and fell to one knee. The copy watched him as he stood back up ready to fight.
"Oh come on Terra! You really think you can win?" the copy asked "We're one and the same. You can't kill me and I can't kill you but I'm not staying in here any longer. I wanna get out and see the worlds."
"Like hell you will!" Terra yelled reaching out to call his keyblade, but nothing came to his hand. He noticed that the keyblade in his copy's hand trembled a little but stayed where it was.
*Sigh* "I guess that whole 'We're one and the same' deal needs some explaining." the copy slung the keyblade up onto his shoulder and looked at Terra, he held out his hand and an image of a heart appeared over it "This is a heart. It contains all the memories, feelings, and intentions of a person. However a heart is always split between light and darkness" one half of the heart turned white and the other half became black "Ordinary people exist in the light so that part is usually dominant however the dark half contains their jealousy, hate, anger, rage, sadness, greed, and overall negative emotions, and that is where their Heartless counterpart resides. Sometimes people decide to use the darkness in their hearts and the heart becomes engulfed in the darkness." the heart in the copy's hand became completely black "But we're a special case. You used the darkness but before our merge was complete you turned back to the light and cut me away. But I still had all of you I needed."
"What are you talking about?"
"Shaddup and I'll explain it! Now as I was saying, I had all of you I needed. You tried to cut me away but most of who you are was . . . copied, for lack of a better term, onto me. I"m more
negative you because I'm still the dark half of your heart, but I also have feelings for your friends and family. That's why we're the same, I'm you and you're me. But since you cut me away I wound up trapped in here again and I gotta tell ya . . . it's just no fun in here."
"But what about my keyblade?"
"
Our keyblade, since we're one and the same instead of us each having our own, the stronger of us gets it."
Terra looked at the copy in the light that was coming into the attic. The only difference between him and the copy was that his had the armor on and his eyes were gold. But it couldn't be true! There was no way he and the thing before him were the same person. Terra ran forward to try and get a surprise attack but the copy moved to quick and jabbed the end of the keyblade into Terra's stomach, knocking the breath out of him.
While Terra was still stunned the copy dismissed the keyblade, grabbed Terra by his face, picked him up off the floor, and slammed him down so hard it sent him through the floor of the attic and through the floor of the room below, down back into the living room. The copy looked down through the holes and jumped down, landing right next to Terra.
"By now you're probably wondering why it is you don't seem to be able to take me down." the copy said "Well there's a simple explanation for that. This is my world. I've been here since you were born, consider this my home-field advantage."
"What are you going to do?" Terra asked as he tried to stand up
"I'm gonna leave." The copy stated confidently "My way out is through you. But unfortunately you won't let me out so I gotta beat you until you're too weak to resist. And what you're feeling only helps me Terra, you hate me and that only makes me stronger."
He's right. Terra thought
I do hate him. And there's no way I can stop hating him.
"Now let's get this over with." the copy said picking up Terra "I'm sick and tired of being here. It's my turn to get out."
"No it's not." Terra said grabbing the copy's shoulders "It's like you said 'We're one and the same'. I may hate you, but that doesn't mean that I can't accept you."
The copy looked confused as Terra lifted up his head and looked him straight in the eyes. The confused expression turned into fear as he realized what was happening. He was breaking down into little bits that flew away and began to form armor on Terra. He tried to get away but Terra held him firmly as the breaking down of him began to speed up slightly.
"I won't be a slave to the darkness." Terra said "But I won't deny it any longer. I am what I am, there's no denying it."
The copy held it's horrified expression unitl the end when it was completely broken down and Terra's armor was completely reformed on him. Terra let out a sigh and picked up the picture of him, his wife, and Riku. Slowly he began to fade away and when he completely disappeared the picture he was holding fell to the ground.

Ven, Aqua, and Terra were laying quietly on the tables. There had been no change in their conditions since they had been induced into their comatose states one hour ago. The nurse that had led them to the room came back and checked on them every ten minutes, careful to avoid touching the portals over their hearts.
"Does it normally take this long?" one of the guys who sat at the computers behind the mirror glass asked.
"Who knows." the other guy replied.
BEEP BEEP BEEP! One of the screen began to emit a beeping noise as the signals on it became erratic. Then another screen proceeded to do the same, then another, and anther. Soon the whole room was filled with loud beeping sounds and red lights were blinking and flashing everywhere. The two guys were panicking slightly as they moved from screen to screen trying to make sense of all the incoming data. Seritouge stayed in the back, calmly watching the scene unfold.
"Look!" one of the guys said pointing to Aqua, Terra, and Ven. They were still on the tables but they were arching their backs in the air and thrashing around as if in pain. The portals over their hearts were pulsating uncontrollably and kept switching from black to white.
"Record this data!" Seritouge said sternly and one of the guys pushed a key on his keyboard. Every device they had set up to record all sorts of readings began to record.
"Seritouge sir! What's happening?!" the nurse from before asked as she rushed into the room with them.
"The final stage of this experiment has come into fruition." Seritouge answered.
Suddenly Ven, Aqua, and Terra all began to glow and their glowing began to get brighter and brighter. The mirror glass protected them from some of the brightness but the two guys put their hands up to shield their eyes as it began to get too bright. All of a sudden the screens began to beep and screech loudly as their readings began to go off their set charts.
"Sir you have to stop this! The stress is killing them!" one of the men yelled.
"No." Seritouge replied
"SIR!" the man yelled again, begging Seritouge to stop.
"NO!" Seritouge replied loudly and much sterner than before.
The light coming off the three in the room continued to get brighter until the men had to close their eye's even with their hands covering them. There was a final pulse and the light disappeared as the machines all went flat, the sources of their readings had vanished.
"Send the data recording to my room." Seritouge ordered as he left the observation room to got back to his private quarters. He wondered what had just happened.

He felt . . . cold. There was no other word for it. He quickly realized his eyes were closed and when he moved he felt that he was lying on the ground. He opened his eyes and found himself lying in snow, but that wasn't what had him worried. All around him there was darkness, except for the large section of ground that had the snow on and the pillars of rock that were standing at it's edges. He looked around and quickly found someone else lying on the ground a few feet away.
"Aqua!" he yelled out running towards her. Before he got there she awoke and raised herself up.
"Ven?" she asked when she saw him running at her "Where are we?"
"I don't know." Ven answered when he reached her.
"What you should be asking is 'What is that?'" Terra said from behind them
Aqua and Ven looked behind them at their friend and then noticed he was looking over them at something else. They followed his view and saw a large set of double-doors. They were giant and had beautiful stained glass murals for windows. They were also pure white which stood out in the dark surroundings.
"Uh . . . What is that?" Ven asked
*Giggle* Oh c'mon. You know who I am. Or maybe I should say 'What I am'. A light hearted, female voice said.
"Who said that?!" Ven asked jumping up and looking around
I did
"Just who are
you?" Terra asked calmly
Look in front of you!
Everyone looked and saw the doors again. "We're talking to a door?" Ven asked dully
I"m not a door! I'm an Upper Conscious! The voice snapped.
"Uh . . . What's an Upper Conscious?" Aqua asked
Uh well . . . That would take to long to explain and we're kinda strapped for time right now. All you need to know is that I"m here to help you.
"We're still wondering who
you are." Aqua said standing up too.
You know. None of you would be here if it wasn't for me.
One by one, realization dawned on all their faces "KINGDOM HEARTS!?" they all asked surprised.
Thaaaaat's right!
"But . . . but . . . how?" was all Ven managed to say.
Well that's kinda easy to explain. You see even though I'm more of a source of energy I control many things and as such a form of intelligence is required to keep things from falling apart. But that also means that I can have opinions and control over my own powers.
"So then why are we here?" Terra asked staying calm
Why else . . . Xehanort. He wan't to take my power and use it to his own means, but nobody's supposed to have the kinda power I possess. That's why I brought you here after you faced yourselves, I need you to keep me safe.
"Us?" Terra asked
Yes you. I can't give you my power but I can increase the power of you own hearts. With new power you should be able to beat him.
"But then why did you bring us here?" Aqua asked "Couldn't you have just given us this power back in Tokeo Town?"
Well that's the thing. Some one was around that I don't want to know about this. And this power you're getting is borrowed too.
"Borrowed?" Ven asked
Yeeeeaaaaaah. Ya see the thing is that while the power of your hearts have been restored, you still lost a lot of your original power. So now you're gonna have to borrow the power you need from the next Keyblade Masters of the Disney System. And lucky for you, you already know them so this is gonna be quick.
"Wait wait wait." Ven interupted "We know them?" and tried to think of who he knew that could even begin to qualify as a keyblade master "Hold on! You can't be talking about-"
Yep!
Ven looked like he just got punched in the stomach as he stood there realizing something else. Then he looked over at Terra who was just standing still. They all noticed as something began to materialized in front of them and as they came into better view they saw that it was three keyblades, the Kingdom Key, Way to Dawn, and Chigiri. The keyblades hovered in the air as they waited for their temporary masters to take them.
Ven was the first to walk up to them. Somehow he just knew which one was meant for him. He stood in from of the Kingdom Key and reached out his hand to take it. As he took it a transparent figured appeared in front of him on the other side of the keyblade and it was holding Ven's hand on the keyblade too. "Sora?" Ven asked as he realized who it was. The transparent teenager gave his older brother a smile and nodded.
Terra had quickly followed suite of Ven and walked up to the Way to Dawn. He didn't hesitate to take hold of it and found Riku holding onto the his hand too. "I"m sorry." Terra whispered to his son. Riku gave his father a small smile that spoke volumes.
Aqua was the last to approach the keyblades and took hold of Chigiri. She didn't know why she was taking this keyblade, nobody she knew could be a master. A transparent image of Kairi appeared in front of her and gave her a confident smile. Aqua felt like even though she didn't know the girl, she was more than happy to lend Aqua her strength.

"We don't need luck." Ven stated confidently as Sora faded away
"Their strength is more than enough." Terra said as Riku faded away
"To defeat Xehanort." Aqua said as Kairi faded away
Light engulfed the trio once more as Kingdom Hearts transported them to the Crossroads of Twilight, to their final battle against the dark.
