Chapter 17: Okay...here.

Finding your ture destiny


“Um…do you know where this is?” Range asked, looking down at the girl as she fumbled through her glossy black hair.

“Aren’t you going to say your name?” She asked looking directly up at him.

“Range…”

“Oh okay…I’m Linn.” She greeted

“Aren’t you going to answer my question?” Range asked

“That’s a big sword that you have…” Linn said; completely ignoring Range’s question

“May you please tell me where we are?” Range asked in the most polite way he knew of; hoping she would respond.

“That’s better…but I can’t tell you.” Linn answered, still fixated on his sword. “You see you were sent here as a test…a test to see if you were the one…the possessor of...souls.”

“Possessor of Souls?”

“Yep…..as you may or may not know, there are three parts to the human body; or better yet system. A system that follows rules, a in which if each part isn’t united; can destroy many lives.” Linn started to explain, Range closely listening. “The three parts are: Body, Soul, and Heart. Without one another, they create monsters. If the heart is separated from the heart it makes a heartless or a being that lives off of an abandoned heart, or a stolen one…and who off instinct, steals other people’s hearts.” Linn added fixing some of her unorganized hair back behind her ears. “Without a heart, the body becomes a nobody, or a feeling less being, who strives to get their heart back….but…they can’t.” She started to slow down; then catching her breath then continuing. “….That’s the body and the heart…so where’s the soul? It’s trapped inside the body where the heart would be…gruesome isn’t it? And if a nobody, quote on quote, dies…then their souls is trapped in the abyss…waiting to be reunited with their hearts. And that is where you come in…you’re the possessor of souls….what frees them…what allows them to pass on and live happily ever after…or down under…burning………Ahh and that’s it; I really don’t understand it myself….I’m only four, my older me told me to tell you.” Linn ended

“Older you?” Range stumbled from every thing he had just learned.

“Yep….The one that sent you here.” Linn responded, seemingly pulling up something from the fog.
“Oh okay….but where is this?” Range asked, still trying to grasp what he just heard.

“This is the past….twenty years back…to be exact.” Linn said seeming to get on top of something.

“Twenty years back!? What the…..what are you sitting on?” Range asked, calming down slightly.

“It’s a rare egg.” She responded as she got off of the gigantic egg and held it up; it shined a bright gray. “The thing about this egg is that it’s nice and squishy so I can tell what’s going to be inside is probably going to be liquid…but that’s this one…See these eggs may start off either liquid or solid, depending on which one it starts depends on if it will be solid or liquid at the end…so since mine is liquid like it will be a solid…..understand…please understand...my jaw is starting to hurt.” Linn explained

“Okay...so I know this is the past…but what I’m supposed to do here?” Range finally asked.

“Well it goes like this…you’re believed to be to the destined soul possessor...if you are then you cannot cut me…if you can…then this is not your destiny.”

“But I don’t want to hurt a little girl.” Range said as she got on top of her egg again; she bounced around with the egg but, she seemed to be in full control of it; she moved out a few feet in front of him. Um…okay.” He said slowly holding the sword out, which passed by her head; she grasped the blade tightly in her hand, knowing that he would out and just up and cut her.

As she let it go she announced “See…you can’t hurt me….now to get rid of this sword.”

“Get rid? What are you-“Range said, but cut off as his sword shattered in his sight. “What the?”

“This sword was full of unusable energy…you’ll never get anywhere with this…it’s useless…and we need to go.” Linn stated, her light voice getting more serious as she started off into the fog still riding on her egg like egg, like it was a horse.

Range slowly followed her into the foggy abyss. “How’d you do that?” He asked still astounded.

“I can use psychic like powers…my older me thought me. She said it was better that I learn them earlier than later, and she pretty much home schooled me…but I still don’t know all that much.” Linn answered coming to a stop.

“Why did you stop?” Range asked catching up to her.

“There should be a small cave around here…it’s were you will take your roll in destiny….Ahh there it is.” She pointed out, as she turned to the side and felt around until she came to a stop at what seemed to be a wall. “Okay over here.”

Range followed her seeing the fog clear up; as he seemed to walk in he finally saw clearly, inside of the cave. The only thing inside was a man facing the wall of the small cave. He looked like he was wearing a black trench coat. “Linn…” He called out as she ran over to him in the dim cave...Range still could barely see, but it was better than fog. “Is this him?”

“Yep.” Linn replied looking back at Range; the man stood unmoving.

“You there….this sword is your destiny….with this you will be able to calm the souls of many…or manipulate…and in cases duplicate.” The man said unmoving with Linn grabbing at something on his side. He pulled out a 3 foot blade that cut through the steady darkness. He pointed a wooden end at Range. “Here this is now yours.” He said as Range took it; it dissipated into thin air. “Never worry…it will always be there…” The man ended.

WOAH XD I liked the way you Explained the Heart Body and Soul deal^^ that was very interesting^^ and it really seems like a concept that could apply to the ideas of KH XD^^
