Hearts of Twilight is a little fanfic I've been working on. So, here is it all.

Hearts of Twilight Chapter 1

A mysterious figure in a white and black mixed cloak approached a castle. He looked up at the sky. The sky was pitch black, only illuminated for the brief strikes of lightning. He was running inside the castle, avoiding a few close calls to being struck by lightning. He seemed to be carrying a message in one hand, along with a mysterious weapon in the other. The weapon resembled some sort of scythe.
He was inside the castle, running up spiraling stairs that were filled with traps, obviously for protection against an invasion. He seemed like a natural at this sort of dodging. Finally, when he reached the top of the stairs, there was a giant door.
The man walked through the doorway, coming out onto a tower. There was another man out there, also in the same sort of cloak. The first figure bowed down to the other, as a sign of obedience.
“Here is a message from one of our spies, Master.” the first man said.
“Thank you, my apprentice. You have done well in retrieving it.” the Master said.
The Master read the message. It said:
“Our plan has been working well so far, Master. These ‘people’ are idiotic. They haven’t the slightest notion my mission. I have been able to perfectly blend in with them. There is a teenager who is going to be a problem, though. I have seen him fight. He hasn’t lost a fight yet, but he never gives up, so he will be a pain to obliterate. He has a keyblade, but he does not know how to use it. He hopefully will not realize the secret of the keyblade, and I will make sure he will not. Please send your minions to this world before they figure out what I am up to. Us Half-Hearts must be able to regain the missing pieces of our hearts. This is all I have left to say; the time is approaching.”
“Apprentice, what world was this spy on, out of curiosity?”
“He was on the world of Twilight Town, where DiZ and Namine took apart and reassembled Sora’s memories few years ago.”
“O yes, I remember those events. They led up to the disgrace of Organization XIII. The days where Nobodies roamed under the direction of Organization XIII. No, we are the ones ordering both the Nobodies and the Heartless.”
“Yes, and it is because of you, my awesome Master.”
“Thank you. O, and before I forget, get the troops ready and in the machine to combine the Nobodies and Heartless that have not been yet combined. The Half-Hearts that we have ready must be sent to Twilight Town. And tell Marlox to help out the spy in Twilight Town. I have a feeling about the boy and who he is…”
“Master, who is this boy?”
“I cannot tell you yet, but I can guarantee he will look for Riku or Sora. Tell the rest of the Order to be prepared.”

Hearts of Twilight Chapter 2

“And the winner of the STRUGGLE match is…. Xonic Cryoliz!” the announcer of the STRUGGLE tournament said.
The crowd cheered after Xonic was announced the winner. For, you see, Xonic was a home-town hero, always helping out everyone. He has, however, had a rough and somewhat mysterious past. He had no family that was alive, being as they died in an accident on the train when Xonic was left at home with a baby-sitter. Xonic was about 2 years old at that point, so he doesn’t remember his family too well.
“With this win, Xonic is now in the finals, fighting the winner of the match between Draco, Xonic’s close friend, and Femix, another close friend of Xonic‘s. That fight will begin shortly.” the announcer explained.
Xonic was breathing heavily after the match. He walked up to Draco, who was getting pumped up for his match.
“Hey Xonic, that was one fantastic fight. You did a great job fighting.” Draco said excitingly.
“Thanks. That was a tough match. Seifer got a lot better this year. Don’t underestimate your opponent’s ability. It will cost you.” Xonic replied.
Femix walked up to them. She was wearing her black hoop earrings on her pointy ears.
“Good fight, Xonic. I hope you are ready to fight either one of us in the finals.” Femix teased confidently.
“I’m ready. Just wait.” Xonic replied.
Some of Xonic’s other close friends, Bleh and Mega, walked up to the trio.
“Good luck, Draco and Femix.” Bleh, the new kid in Twilight Town, said.
“And Xonic, that was awesome!” Mega, Xonic’s first friend, exclaimed.
“Thanks guys.” Xonic, Femix, and Draco said simultaneously.
Out of the corner of his eye, Xonic saw a little blind girl start to walk into a bench. He ran over to her, stopping her before she hit the bench.
“Whoa, Lylie. You gotta be careful with your self and where you are going..” Xonic told her.
Lylie heard someone mention a bench was in front of her, but she didn’t notice that.
“Thanks Xonic. I owe you one, again.” Lylie said.
“Eh, it’s not a problem at all,, and you should know that by now.” Xonic said.
“And now, it is time for the STRUGGLE match between Femix and Draco.” the announcer said. “Are you two ready?”
They both nodded.
“Okay, well, let the STRUGGLE begin!”
Femix started out by slashing horizontally at Draco, making Draco lose 15 orbs. But then, Draco came back by using a three-move combo, forcing Femix to lose a total of 32 orbs. The match continued in the same fashion the whole way through, it went back and forth between the lead. But finally, with only three seconds remaining, Draco took the lead back with a combo and ended up winning the match by 2 orbs!
“Wow, folks. That was the most exciting match I have ever seen. I would like to let both of them advance. But, unfortunately, that cannot happen. So, the winner, by 2 orbs, is Draco Carvhall!” the announcer shouted out.
The crowd roared with excitement as Draco was announced the winner of the closest match in STRUGGLE history.
“Awesome job, Femix. Maybe you’ll beat me next year.” Draco said.
“Thanks, Draco. You fought well, too. And be prepared for next year.” Femix replied.
The announcer walked up to the middle of the stage.
“Well, we are finally down to our two final contestants. They are great friends, and they always will be… Xonic and Draco! Now, I will give a refresher on the rules for those of you who might have forgot. Each Fighter will have 100 orbs a piece to start. Orbs are lost when you get hit, so be careful not to get hit too much. The one with the most orbs in the allotted amount of time is the winner.”
Xonic walked up to Draco and said, “Good luck.”
“You too.” Draco replied.
“Ready, STRUGGLE!” the announcer shouted.
About two seconds after the announcer shouted that, a ton of human-like creatures with chests that were all shadows attacked the people of Twilight Town. Xonic and Draco weren’t sure what to do. They tried hitting them with their struggling clubs, but it had no affect. Then, all of a sudden, a black portal came up and a boy with long, white hair shouted “Quick, come here.”
Xonic, Draco, Lylie, Femix, Mega, and Bleh were the only ones who heard. Lylie, unfortunately, was the farthest away from the portal, plus she was almost attacked by the creatures. Xonic realized that she wouldn’t make it alone, so he ran over to her and picked her up and then ran into the portal. The others had already gone through the portal.
None of them knew what was about to happen, but they knew one thing for sure. Their lives had just changed forever.

Hearts of Twilight Chapter 3

Xonic, Femix, Draco, Bleh, Mega, and Lylie followed the teenager with the silver hair through the portal. All of a sudden, they were on a beach. They followed the teenager onto a deserted ship that was stranded on the land.
The teenager turned around and said, “So you have encountered the Half-Hearts, correct?”
“What are Half-Hearts? And who are you?” Femix wondered out of curiosity..
“My name, is Riku. The others will be here shortly,” Riku replied.
“That doesn’t tell us what Half-Hearts are, Riku,” Xonic glared at Riku while saying this.
“The explanation will come shortly. But first, I don’t know what you’re names are. Mind to tell me about yourselves?” Riku asked.
Draco was the first one to step up. “I am Draco.”
Xonic then said, “And I am Xonic. The others are Femix, Mega, Bleh, and Lylie. We are all from…”
“Twilight Town, yes I know,” Riku interrupted.
“Where are we?” Bleh wondered.
“We are on Destiny Island. One of the worlds the Half-Hearts haven’t attacked yet,” Riku answered.
“Worlds?!?!?! I thought there was only one world…” Mega said in a confused manner.
“There are many different worlds. Not everyone knows about them.” Riku said.
A group of seven people walked up to the.
“Ah, here are the others,” Riku said.
One of them, a boy, about 17 years old with brown hair and a mysterious weapon, stepped forward to address the people from Twilight Town.
“I am Sora. These are Kairi, Kenji, Kadash, Mira Li, Elle, and Princess.” Sora introduced everyone.
Xonic looked at Elle, who was beautiful with strawberry-blonde hair. Femix noticed the two of them looking at each other, and she was jealous. She punched Xonic really hard on the arm.
“Aw, what was that for?” Xonic asked.
“What was what for?” Femix smirked.
“Well, anyway, shall we explain about the Half-Hearts?” Sora wondered.
“Please. I’m dying to know about them for Pete’s sake,” the impatient Lylie screamed.
“Okay then. Well, about two years ago, some things happened. These things involved creatures called Heartless and Nobodies. The Heartless weren’t that hard, but the Nobodies were. The most powerful Nobodies formed something called Organization XIII. The Organization tried to trick Sora into using his Keyblade to defeat the Heartless as part of their plot to tae over Kingdom Hearts and to regain their hearts, as they didn’t have any hearts. Well, Sora and Riku took care of the Organization with the help of Axel, number 8 of the Organization. As they faded into darkness, they managed to salvage half of their hearts, calling themselves Half-Hearts. They plotted to find a way out of the darkness so they could destroy anyone who had a whole heart. Not all are bad, but most of them are,” Kenji explained.
“What’s a Keyblade?” Xonic questioned.
“A Keyblade is a weapon given to the pure of heart. You can get a Keyblade of twilight, light, or darkness. The Keyblade is one of the most powerful weapons you can have,” Elle said.
“As you can tell, Riku and I already have Keyblades,” Sora said.
“Hey, what about me?” Kairi asked.
“Sorry. I’m still not used to you having a Keyblade,” Sora apologized.
Draco pointed to the Keyblade Sora was holding, “So that’s a Keyblade?”
“Yes, Sora and Riku are Keyblade masters, along with Kairi and King Mickey,” Mira Li explained.
“Who is King Mickey?” Xonic questioned.
“King Mickey is the King of Disney Castle. He helped us on the journey a few years ago. But, within the past few months, the King has gone away to find out more about the Half-Hearts. He took Donald and Goofy with him so he had help, unlike when he was in the darkness three years ago. Before I had to seal Kingdom Hearts and lock King Mickey and Riku in the darkness,” Sora said.
Femix was mind-boggled, “Okay, let me get this straight. Who are Donald and Goofy? And what the heck is Kingdom Hearts. I am really confused with all these news things that we’re learning, like Half-Hearts, Nobodies, Heartless, Keyblades, and a load of other stuff.”
Sora shook his head, “ Donald and Goofy helped me find Kairi. You see, her heart was in my heart, so her body was unconscious. Riku was trying to find a way to save Kairi, but he turned to the bad side with Maleficent, who was trying to use Kingdom Hearts to completely control the Heartless. She only had minor control over them, and she didn’t have the most powerful Heartless. I foiled her plans and destroyed her, but Xehanort’s Heartless possessed Riku. I fought him as he was in the form of Riku’s body, but then he revealed to me that he was apparently Ansem. Xeharnot was Ansem’s assistant, and Xeharnot was angry at Ansem for neglecting his experiments on Heartless. Xehanort’s Nobody, Xemnas, leader of Organization XIII, also tried to take over Kingdom Hearts.”
“Okay, I get it now,” Femix replied.
Just a few seconds after Femix said this, a hoard of Half-Hearts swarmed the island.
“Quick, let’s get in the gummi ship,” Riku shouted.
The group of six from Twilight Town didn’t have a clue what the gummi ship was, but they figured they could trust the islanders and follow them

Hearts of Twilight Chapter 4

As the group of 13 reached the inside of the gummi ship, Sora realized something.
“It won’t start up,” Sora freaked.
“Are you serious?” Draco moaned.
“You guys hold off the Half-Hearts. I’ll try to fix it,” Mega stood up and shouted.
“Dude, are you sure you can fix this? Have you ever seen a gummi ship before?” Riku questioned.
“Trust me, Mega is a fantastic mechanic,” Xonic replied.
“If you are sure,” Kenji said.
As Mega and Lylie stayed behind to work on the gummi ship repairs, the other 11 went over to where the Half-Hearts were. Xonic, Draco, Femix, and Bleh had no idea how to defeat them, but they at least had their struggle bats.
Xonic and Draco charged over to the Half-Hearts. They were trying to strike them at every angle, but no matter how hard they tried, they couldn’t damage them.
“What’s wrong with these?” Draco shouted to Xonic.
“I don’t know, but, we need to defeat them,” Xonic replied.
All of a sudden, Kadash noticed a teenager with no eyes or hair, but had a jester hat with three spikes on it. He was laying on the ground by the ocean, face down.
“You ok?” Kadash asked the teen.
“I think so,” he replied. “By the way, I am Ajure. Where am I? I may not have eyes that are visible to you, but I can still see, and this is not my home.”
“We are on Destiny Islands,” Kadash replied.
“Okay, I guess,” Ajure stated.
Right out of the blue, someone in a gray tattered cloak with brown hair and red streaks ran over to them.
“Kadash, get him to safety. He is in no condition to fight,” he said.
“Right away, Eagle,” Kadash obeyed him, taking Ajure over to Lylie and Mega at the gummi ship.
“How is it coming along?” Kadash asked.
“Give me a few more minutes here. I am a mechanic, not a magician. I mean, the engine is completely fried,” Mega explained.
“Okay. Not sure how much longer we can hold these things off though,” Kadash replied.
It seemed only Sora, Riku, Kairi, Eagle, Kenji, Mira Li, and Princess could destroy the Half-Hearts. Xonic was the first one to notice that.
Xonic also was the first one to notice that the Half-Hearts were trying to kidnap Elle. He was enraged at the Half-Hearts, being as though he hardly knew Elle, he had a crush on her and he wanted to protect her from the demon creatures. His heart was filled for love for Elle, but it was also filled with anger towards the Half-Hearts. Then, he could here words in his head. They were “Mystery, Darkness, Light, Twilight.” over and over. The more he heard those words, the more powerful he felt. All of a sudden, he was wielding four new weapons. One, a very dark sword that was pitch black, was very long and appeared in his left hand. The blade was long and thick. Another was a shield that had the Twilight Town emblem on it. The third were shoulder pad like things that were pure white. He slid them down his arm, extending to his wrists and down to his ankles. The final weapon looked a lot like the blade that Riku was bearing, but it was a combined light orange, purple, white, and black, and it had the words “MYSTERY” written on it. He could tell it was Keyblade, and he named it Mystery. He called the blade Dark Blade, his shield the Twilight Shield, and his armor the Light Armor. He was very short on time, and the names resembled the weapon, plus he wasn’t very creative with his names.
With the Dark Blade in his left hand and Mystery in his right, he went after the Half-Hearts that had kidnapped Elle. He managed to catch up to them, but he was too late to completely save Elle for the moment. They had knocked her partially unconscious, and she was moaning and groaning in agony.
He twirled the two blades in front of him, and he ran into the Half-Hearts. They were very weak to his surprise, but they were great in numbers. It was him alone at that point up against almost 100 Half-Hearts, but he didn’t give up. He cared so much about Elle that he would die before he would give up.
As he reached the Half-Heart that was holding Elle, he put away his blades and jumped over the creature, and grabbed Elle and put her over his shoulder in the process.
He dashed over towards the gummi ship, putting Elle down on the ground gently. She could barely find the energy to open her eyes, but she managed to whisper something to Xonic.
“Thank… you,” she whispered. Xonic could hear the agony in voice.
“You’re welcome,” he said back to her, as he kissed her on the forehead. “Be careful.”
As Elle went to sleep, he asked Mega to watch over Elle.
“Are you kidding me, Xonic? You’re my friend and all, but I have to fix the gummi ship. I’m sorry,” Mega said.
“It’s alright, Mega,” Xonic said. “Hey Mira Li, can you get over here and watch over Elle while I fight the Half-Hearts?”
“Nope, sorry. I found some guy named Taxima on the side of the dock. He is badly injured, and he seems crazy, talking about some sort of fight he was in before getting sucked into a black hole. It was with some Sin guy or whatever,” Mira Li said.
Xonic sighed. “Okay, thanks anyway. Kenji, can you help me out over here and watch Elle. She’s hurt and partially unconscious?”
“Sure thing, Xonic,” Kenji replied and came over to the gummi ship in a flash.
Xonic bowed in appreciation towards Kenji. thank you.”
“No problem.”
As Xonic raced over to where his friends from Twilight Town had been struggling earlier, he noticed his friend had new weapons too. Femix seemed to have some sort of sword resembling crystal. Draco and Bleh also had a weapon like Xonic’s keyblade, but Bleh’s was green and brown, like a forest. Draco’s was yellow and some sort of shade of gray. Xonic figured to act now in the fights, and ask questions later.
Meanwhile, Kenji was watching over Elle, Princess, Ajure, Lylie, and the mysterious Taxima. Princess had been knocked out by a Half-Heart. Ajure was tired and weary. Lylie was being watched by Mega, but it distracted him from fixing the ship. Lylie was also blind and unable to fight, even though she had the fighter’s will. Taxima was crazy, talking about things that no one else could understand. Kenji was the only one who had volunteered to take care of them all and to protect them at first, but every now and then, Eagle, Mira Li, and Kadash would stop in to make sure they were all ok.
“Kenji, do you need help?” Mira Li asked.
“Yes. I’m stuck watching over five hurt people all by myself and fighting off Half-Hearts that come anywhere near us. I think help is necessary at this point.,” Kenji replied.
“Okay. What do you need me to do?” Mira Li questioned.
“Go and take some of these people into the gummi ship. I am right outside here, and Eagle and Mega are inside the ship fixing the engine. I’ll be out here protecting the entrance. We will switch positions every 10 minutes, starting now,” Kenji commanded.
Mira Li took them inside the ship one by one. She put them in the chairs they would sit in. She knew Mega and Eagle needed to hurry up.
“How are the repairs going?” Mira Li wondered.
“Almost done. We just need to re-oil the system and pray this ship will launch. But don’t get your hopes up,” Eagle said.
Mira nodded. She hoped the others would last just a little bit longer to hold off the Half-Hearts.
Back to where the four from Twilight Town were, the Half-Hearts were decreasing in numbers.
“I think it’s working,” Femix shouted.
“Don’t get too cocky Femix. Our job isn’t done yet,” Draco replied.
“Yeah, but they are starting to decrease. Plus, Mega should almost be finished the repairs by now,” Xonic said.
Bleh noticed a huge Half-Heart appear out of a black hole.
“Um, guys, we got bigger issues,” Bleh said.
“Bleh, go warn the others to hurry up and to be alert. We will hold them off,” Xonic shouted.
Bleh ran over to the gummi ship in a hurry. He told Kenji to go inside the ship and tell the others.
“Right away, Bleh,” Kenji said as they both went into the gummi ship.
Kadash noticed the Half-Heart that Xonic, Femix, and Draco had just began to fight. He figured he would want to join in on the fun, so he flew over to help them.
“Thought you guys could use some help,” Kadash said.
“Duh, that thing is like 20 times bigger than us,” Femix shouted
Kadash took out a sword and started to hack away at the Half-Heart. The beastly creature struck Draco in the arm, knocking him over and he flew right towards the gummi ship’s direction. He could not find the strength to get up.
Xonic noticed Draco fly back, but couldn’t go over to his aid, because he would risk Femix’s and Kadash’s safety.
The battle was heated, as the gang could not defeat the beast. The beast countered most of their attacks, which luckily, most of them were blocked by Xonic, Femix, or Kadash.
Xonic then jumped up at the creature and struck it’s hand. He grabbed onto the creature and started to climb up the creature’s arm. He reached the head and bashed the creature several times. As the creature was getting weaker and weaker by the second, it managed to grab Xonic and throw him right at Kadash. Kadash then had a plan. He grabbed Xonic’s legs as Xonic flew over to him, and he twirled him around and spun around, until he got a clear shot at the creature. Xonic realized what was going on.
Kadash released Xonic, and Xonic flew towards the beast. He put his blades in the shape of an X and struck the creature. That was the last thing the creature saw. The hit was so powerful, the creature bent down and faded away.
Almost right after the beast faded away,, Xonic was approached by a group of figures wearing a black and white mixed cloak.
“Very well Xonic. You have passed the first test,” one of them said.
“What test? What are you talking about?” Xonic questioned.
The figures all laughed simultaneously. Xonic dove over toward the one that made the comment about the tests, but as soon as he dove, they all disappeared.
“What was that about?” Xonic wondered in his mind.
Mira Li ran up to Femix, Xonic, and Kadash and said, “Mega and Eagle fixed the gummi ship. We can leave now.”
Xonic nodded and they all went back to the ship, except Xonic, who picked up Draco and threw him over his shoulders.
They were all accounted for, even the new additions in Ajure and Taxima, who were mysterious to everyone else, as no one knew anything about them yet. The ship left Destiny Island, and Xonic knew that someday, he would see that island again. But, not for a very, very long time…

Hearts of Twilight Chapter 5

Xonic and the gang were in the gummi ship. He was examining his new weapons when all of a sudden, Elle walked over to him.
“Hey Xonic,” she said.
“Hey. How are you feeling?” he asked.
“Better. I just woke up. By the way, was I dreaming, or did you really kiss my forehead while I was blacking out?” she asked.
“No dream, it was reality,” Xonic replied. “Why, are you uncomfortable with that?”
Elle blushed and started to explain, “No, no, no. Not at all.”
Bleh walked over to Xonic and Elle.
“So, you now have a Keyblade, too,” Bleh said.
“Yeah. As does Draco,” Xonic replied.
Bleh took out his Keyblade. It was brown and green and looked like it had twigs growing off of it.
“The name for this one is Petrified Forest. Just holding it makes me feel powerful,” Bleh said.
Xonic took his out to compare his to Bleh’s.
“Mine is named ‘Mystery’, as it is engraved mystery on it,” Xonic said while examining his Keyblade. His looked like the sky of his home Twilight Town, but with added white and black. The shape was just like a normal hey, only bigger and had a heart cut out at the tip.
“Looks nice, but not as nice as mine,” Bleh teased.
“Whatever,” Xonic laughed.
All of a sudden, there was a loud explosion-like sound. Eagle ran back to where everyone else was.
“Sora told me to inform you all that we need to land immediately. We ran into a bit of trouble up ahead, and they are bombing us out form the sky,” Eagle said.
“O great. Those stupid Half-Heart things are going to try to kill us. Just because we have a few Keyblade Masters. That is the only reason,” Femix yelled.
“That’s not the only reason,” a mysterious voice said.
No one knew who had said that, or even where the voice came from.
“Show yourself,” Mega demanded.
A dark portal appeared at the back of the gummi ship. A man in one of the white and black mixed cloaks walked through. “Here I am, you ingrates,” he mocked.
“Who are you?” Princess asked.
The man took down his hood from his cloak, revealing his face. He had short, spiky blond hair. He seemed to be in his mid-20’s, and he was tall and thin. “My name is Dartanian. I am the leader of the Order of Shadows. I have merged from the darkness with more power than ever,” Dartanian said.
“Ha, I bet Sora could beat you with a hand tied behind his back,” Xonic said.
“Well, well, well, look what we have here. My little brother. How were the past 14 years?” he asked Xonic.
“I am not your brother. My only family is my dead mother. I don’t even have a father. Now go away you creep,” Xonic said.
“Very well, little brother. Bleh, we must be off,” Dartanian said.
Mira Li was confused. “Why do you want Bleh? What importance does he have to you?” she asked.
“He is a spy for the Order. You imbeciles befriended him, and he has been sending reports to me ever since he came to Twilight Town a few years back,” Dartanian laughed.
Bleh said, “You idiots thought I was your friend. You are so pathetic. I mean, did you notice how I was always doing poorly in Struggle matches? I was losing on purpose because I didn’t want to blow my cover.”
“You loser. We thought you actually cared about us and how we were. You are nothing but a dirty piece of scum,” Draco was outraged.
“Doesn’t matter anymore. I have been revealed, Dartanian has been revealed, and you suckers fell into our trap,” Bleh chuckled.
At that very moment, the emergency light was blinking red. The gummi ship was going down.
MEANWHILE IN THE COCKPIT
“Sora, what’s going on?” Riku asked.
“The ship has been hit too many times. We gotta land this thing and get to safety. We need to tell the others. Eagle might’ve already, but it isn’t enough. Kenji, go warn the others,” Sora commanded.
“Yes sir,” Kenji said. He ran into the back of the gummi ship.
“Kairi, Riku, this may be our final moments together,” Sora said.
“After all these crazy adventures we are gonna die in a gummi ship? This isn’t happening,” Kairi cried and put her head in her hands.
“There will be a way where we can save everyone,” Riku said in an optimistic way.
“I sure hope so,” Sora said.
MEANWHILE
Kenji was in the back of the gummi ship. He noticed the cloaked Dartanian.
“Who are you?” Kenji said.
“I have already explained it all. Let these idiots explain it to you, if you all live,” Dartanian laughed. He and Bleh faded away in the portal, and the portal disappeared.
“Kenji, is everything okay?” Mira Li asked.
“Be prepared for a rough landing,” he said.
Taxima and Ajure were just starting to wake up.
Taxima asked, “Is everything alright?”
“No, we all might be falling into death,” Mega said quietly.
The ship was descending , and the crew just wasn’t sure of their life safety.

Hearts of Twilight Chapter 6

The gang was descending to what looked like to be their death. They were frightened for their lives. Sora was losing faith, since he was the one driving. If anything happened to them, he would feel horrible… if he managed to survive.
“What is wrong with this thing? Nothing is working,” Sora freaked as he was pushing every button.
“Calm down, Sora. You have been in tighter situations. Remember?” Kairi tried to comfort Sora.
Sora looked away. “I remember. Saving you while Riku betrayed us because of a false promise. And then fighting Ansem in the darkness, then fighting Xemnas alongside Riku. But, this time, more lives are at stake than just a few,” Sora said.
“It’ll be okay. Those new guys are gonna be leaders soon,” Riku said.
“Yeah, if we can save ourselves,” Sora added. He seemed rather pessimistic right now. Kairi and Riku were surprised at this sudden change of attitude. But, they knew what they had to do. They had to land the ship, and fast.
MEANWHILE IN THE BACK
“I can’t believe Bleh betrayed us, and we are gonna die,” Princess said.
Her sister, Elle, walked up to her and said, “Don’t worry, sis. It’ll be okay. Right, Xonic?”
Xonic had no idea what to say except, “Hopefully.”
Out of nowhere, a dark portal appeared next to Elle and Princess. Eagle shouted out, “It’s Dartanian again.”
But to their surprise, it wasn’t. It was just another member of the Order. He grabbed Elle and Princess by their arms. Xonic shouted out, “Who are you? What are you doing?”
The man said nothing, but he took Elle and Princess into the portal. Xonic dove in, just making it through.
Kenji was shocked. “What just happened?”
“I’m not sure, but I hope they all make it back safe,” Mira Li said.
Xonic got up from the ground. He noticed that he was in a silver room. He saw the man who grabbed the girls. “Who are you? What do you want?”
The man turned away. He took the hood off of his cloak. He revealed short black hair and blue eyes. He looked about 40 years old. “Dartanian sent me. He said something about another test for you,” he said. He took out a sword in one hand, and he had knives between his fingers on the other hand. “So, Xonic, how would you like to die?”
Xonic took out his Dark Blade and his Mystery Keyblade. “I refuse to die. At least, I won’t die without a fight.”
“Exactly what I was looking forward to,” the man said. He threw his knives at Xonic. Luckily, most of them missed. One slit his shoulder, and his shoulder started to bleed a little.
“It’s on,” Xonic said. He darted toward the man, putting his blades in the shape of an X. He jumped up to attack the man, but the man slashed Xonic with his sword, increasing the bleeding.
Xonic was in sheering pain because of the bleeding, but he knew he needed to continue to fight to save the girls. He put on his Light Armor in hope to protect himself.
The man laughed. He wasn’t even trying to fight. He knew he would win. It was his destiny. “Giving up already?” he asked.
Xonic held on to his shoulder for a moment. “No. I never give up,”
“Fool,” the man said. He charged up to Xonic throwing more knives and slashing Xonic with his sword. This time, fortunately, Xonic was ready for the attack, and he blocked everything and countered it with Double Slash from both of his blades. The man flew back. He gained his footing on a wall. He then ran on the wall and created a fireball. He threw it at Xonic, followed by a wave of darkness.
Xonic spun his Dark Blade around, propelling the fireball and dark wave back at the man. He was surprised at the sudden change of pace in the fight.
“Were you ready for that?” Xonic asked.
“No, but that will be your last hit on me,” the man said.
Xonic ran up toward the back slashing him. The man couldn’t block any of the hits, but Xonic grabbed the man’s cloak and held him tightly.
“Who are you?” Xonic asked.
The man nodded. “You can call me Ross, their father.” Ross pointed to Elle and Princess, who were laying down unconscious.
Xonic was enraged with darkness and light at the same time. The darkness was his hatred toward Ross, but his light was his love for Elle. In one hand, Xonic held a ball of light, and in the other was a ball of darkness. He put his hands together, then unloaded his magic at Ross. Ross flew back and hit the wall forcefully, becoming very weak.
“You are stronger than I thought,” he said. As these words left his lips, there was yet another dark portal. With the last of his strength, he ran through the portal, leaving behind something. Xonic walked over to pick the item up. It was a bow and a set of flaming arrows. Xonic picked them up and examined them.
“Hmm… these could help sometime…” he said to himself.
Elle began to wake up. “Where are we?” she asked.
“I have no clue, but I just fought your dad, Ross,” he said.
“I thought he was dead. But, I guess h just left us,” Elle sighed.
“Well, we have a bigger problem, we are stuck in this bizarre place and can’t get back. The others could be dead right now,” Xonic said. He was extremely frustrated.
In the blink of an eye, a women appeared from nowhere. “Go through here, this is the ship where your friends are,” she said while creating a light portal.
“Thank you,” Xonic said. He picked up the still unconscious Princess, and went through the portal with the girls.
MEANWHILE
“Where are they?” Femix asked.
“We don’t know, but they are probably doing better than we are,” Draco said.
They were still falling. Sora still couldn’t find a way to safely land the gummi ship.
The portal which Xonic, Elle, and Princess had already gone through appeared and they walked out.
“What was all that about?” Mega asked.
“No clue. Any luck saving this thing?” Xonic questioned.
“Nope,” Eagle said.
“I’ve got a plan,” Xonic shouted. He ran into the cockpit of the gummi ship.

“Hey, Xonic. What’re you doing up here?” Riku asked. “We are trying to save everyone’s life.”
“Let me help,” Xonic said.
“No, it’s too risky,” Sora and Riku said simultaneously.
“Wait guys. I know he doesn’t really know much about gummi ship, Keyblades, and everything else that’s going on, but, I think he could help,” Kairi said.
Sora and Riku looked t each other and nodded. “You’ve got one try,” Sora said.
Xonic took control of the sip. The controls were confusing at first, but he caught on.
After a few minutes, Sora asked, “So, what’s your plan?”
“Dive straight down and land this sucker,” Xonic said.
At that moment, Xonic steered the gummi ship straight down to the ground of the first world he saw. He was still attacked by the enemy ships, but he managed to navigate around them.
They were all in a time of need for survival. Xonic was looking for a clear spot to land while the engine was overheating. He noticed a cliff that was overlooking a city. Xonic pulled up the lever and turned off the engine right above ground, miraculously saving the group
They all got out of the gummi ship. A man with medium length brown hair and a scar the shape of an “X” on his face approached them. “It’s been a while, Sora.”

Hearts of Twilight Chapter 7

“Leon, it’s been a while. How’s Radiant Gardens going?” Sora wondered.
“Look for yourself,” Leon said.
Leon showed the gang all around Radiant Gardens. Sora could hardly recognize this place. There were huge buildings and houses. The lights were astonishingly bright. There were tons of people there. The only thing that remained the same was the old castle where Ansem the Wise once lived.
The group was marveling at the wondrous sites of this new world. But, their final stop was a building with a sign saying ‘Radiant Gardens Restoration Committee’.
Leon approached the door, but as he was about to open it, the ground was beginning to shake. A group of people came running out of the door.
“What was that, Leon?” one girl with pink clothing and long brunette hair asked.
“I’m not sure, Aerith,” Leon replied.
One teenager with blond, spiky hair in black garments looked around.
“The creatures are coming again,” he said.
“Are you sure, Cloud?” Leon asked.
Xonic heard the word creatures. He knew instantly the Order and their band of Half-Hearts were approaching. He took out his Dark Blade and Mystery Keyblade.
“Be ready,” Xonic said.
Cloud and Xonic were right. Within only a few seconds, a hoard of Half-Hearts came hurtling down through the streets. Xonic squinting his eyes. He saw a man in a cloak standing up and pointing towards them.
“Anyone who doesn’t want to fight, stay back. Everyone else, go ahead,” Eagle demanded.
Xonic, Draco, Eagle, Leon, Cloud, Sora, Riku, Kenji, and Femix throttled out into the enemy crowds. Xonic and Cloud, however, were the only one to head for the cloaked man. The man noticed them dart towards them, so he jumped over and practically glided over toward them.
“You are either Dartanian, or are you Ross. Possibly Bleh, too,” Xonic said.
The man took the hood on his cloak down. “Neither. I am Haeseus, Earth mover of Shadows. Prepare to die,” he said.
Out of nowhere, a teenager with a blood red cloak and a red and black keyblade charged at Haeseus from behind. He jumped up and slashed Haeseus in the back.
Haeseus fell forward. The boy said, “I’ll take care of him.”
Xonic ignored the directions. He just couldn’t ignore a battle. “No. Cloud, we can help.”
The boy said, “Okay.”
The three of them hacked Haeseus right and left, but he wouldn’t fall down anymore. He seemed to just absorb the attacks.
“Fools,” he said. He took his sword and jabbed in into the ground.
The ground started out as a small quiver, but then it grew into rumbling until it finally was shaking. Xonic, Cloud, and the boy flew back several feet from the impact. They were heading towards a stone building. Xonic managed to stick his feet behind him when he was about to hit the wall, and he pushed against the wall and took out his blades, the force of the wall jump propelling him through the air toward Haeseus. He sliced Haeseus. Then, the boy, hurt from the hit, struggled over to Haeseus. He took out yet another keyblade, this one gold, and hit Haeseus simultaneously with both blades.
Meanwhile, Draco was dominating the Half-Hearts. His Absolution Keyblade was more powerful than Draco would have ever imagined. Eagle was also having no problem fighting the Half-Hearts, being as he was the only one not yet hit.
Eagle jumped over to another group of Half-Hearts. He easily defeated them all when he noticed Xonic, Cloud, and a boy he didn’t know fighting one of the members of the Order of Shadows. He dashed over to help.
Eagle threw his sword at Haeseus, catching him off-guard. Haeseus’s skin was cut, his blood was seeping through the sleeve off his cloak.
“Thanks, Eagle,” Xonic said.
“Don’t mention it,” Eagle replied.
Haeseus let go of his bleeding arm. He threw his sword and Xonic. Xonic knocked the sword down with his Keyblade, then he threw his blade at Haeseus, finishing him off.
“This can’t be,” Haeseus said as he disappeared into the darkness. “I shall return for vengeance.”
Haeseus left something behind. Xonic picked it up. It was a set of knives. These knives looked like rocks, however. Xonic quietly picked them up, knowing that they could be handy.
Draco, Femix, Sora, Riku, and Kenji were growing weary. They were tired, but yet, many Half-Hearts still Remained to be defeated. Xonic and Eagle jumped through the crowds of Half-Hearts, demolishing many in their paths to the others, while the unknown boy and Cloud followed, slashing the Half-Hearts on the sides.
Kenji took out 5 more Half-Hearts before he noticed the 4 who were fighting Haeseus come over.
“Hurry, we need help,” Kenji said.
“Yeah, seriously. We are dying over here,” Draco complained while blocking a hit form a Half-Heart.
“Okay,” Xonic said as he flipped over towards a group of about 20 Half-Hearts and defeating them. The boy who helped him out against Haeseus took out another Keyblade and threw one at a few Half-Hearts then went toward another group of those wretched creatures. Eagle used absolutely no effort against the Half-Hearts, being as he was one of the most powerful of the group. Cloud Strife took out a vast amount with his large Buster Blade.
Little by little, the Half-Hearts were decreasing in numbers. But, unfortunately, Elle was being kidnapped by the Half-Hearts. Nobody noticed this except Mira Li. She tried to keep up with the cursed demons, but they were too fast for even her. She took a final dive in attempt to capture them as they were entering their portal, but the portal closed as she dove. Just missed them.
The mysterious boy was sick of the Half-Hearts at this point. He held a Keyblade in each hand, and he jumped up high into the sky. As he reached mid-air, he threw both Keyblades simultaneously into the ground, causing a major tremor affecting only the Half-Hearts. They all flew high into the sky from the quake, rendering them unguarded. Xonic and Femix jumped up and slashed the majority of them, Draco, Cloud, and Eagle destroying the rest of them as they fell to the ground.
The Half-Hearts were gone. Xonic walked up to the boy equipped with two Keyblades. “Thank you,” he said.
“You’re welcome,” the boy replied.
Femix was confused, “Err… who are you?”
“I am Ray. I am a Keyblade Master,” he answered.
“Thanks again. I am Xonic. Nice to meet you,” Xonic said.
“You too,” Ray replied.
Mira Li came running up to Xonic and the group. “The Half-Hearts, they took Elle while nobody was watching,” she said. She seemed upset and out of breath.
“What?!” Xonic was startled by the news.
“I just missed them as they went into the portal. I’m sorry, Xonic,” she said.
Xonic clenched his fists and growled. “It’s not your fault, Mira. It’s those stupid Half-Hearts at blame. I will kill them. Every last one. Even if I have to go to every world. I won’t give up. We need to find her if it’s the last thing we do.”
Draco walked over to Xonic, “Dude, we can find her. I promise you.”
Xonic tried to calm down. “Promises don’t mean the world, Draco. Promises are broken at all times. But, you are my best friend. Your promises, along with anyone’s here is trustworthy. But, after Bleh betrayed us, trust is something that can lack meaning.”
Femix walked over toward Xonic. She tried the best she could to comfort him, even though she didn‘t care for Elle. “We will find her, and the Order’s lair. I can guarantee.”
Sora finally spoke up. “Okay, guys. Elle was kidnapped. We can and will find her. But, we will need help.” As he said this, he turned to Leon.
Leon saw Sora look at him. “I will help as best as I can. But, with the menaces running around here, I and most of the others will have to stay to protect this world. But, if Cloud would like to go, we could spare him.”
Cloud nodded. “I’ll help. I’m in need of an adventure, anyway.”
“Good. Well, you guys will need to get going if you’re going to find Elle. But, Xonic, take this.” Leon handed Xonic a mahogany cape. “This cape has some magical powers. This will boost your defense if you use it properly.”
Xonic accepted the gift. “Thanks, Leon. We owe you one.”
Cid Highwind had been at the gummi ship all day, making the finishing repairs. “Well, Sora, I fixed up your gummi ship well. It should be in good shape about now.”
“Thanks, Cid.” Sora said. Everyone else said their thank-yous to everyone in radiant Gardens. They all boarded the gummi ship but then, Xonic realized something. He ran out of the gummi ship.
“Leon, could you do me one more favor? My friend, Lylie, needs to stay away from the fights. Could you get someone here to watch over her?” he shouted.
“Sure, I’ll get Aerith on that right away,” he replied.
“Thanks,” Xonic said. He escorted Lylie over to Leon. Then he went back to the gummi ship. This time, hey were all ready to leave and embark on the journey of their lives.

Hearts of Twilight Chapter 8

Dartanian was overlooking his dark, dreary world from the top of his castle. Every few seconds, he would create a large bolt of lightning, striking towns, villages, even people unlucky enough to live on the world of Altamar. Dartanian was a cruel man, laughing at the misfortunes of others, most of which he causes.
Bleh walked over toward Dartanian. “Master Dartanian, would you mind if I ask you a question?”
Dartanian stopped for a second and turned around. “I have time for a few questions.”
“Okay. Well, what exactly are you planning? I mean, you revealed myself and yourself to Xonic, you have kidnapped the girl he likes, you have sent Ross and Haeseus over his way, Ross being injured and Haeseus dead, but, What are you plotting to do?” Bleh asked.
“I’m testing Xonic’s strength. Also, I am testing his anger limit. He is now mad at the Order of Shadows, and he is strong. But, will he be strong enough is what I’m trying to figure out.”
Bleh couldn’t comprehend what Dartanian was explaining fully in depth. “Strong enough for what?”
Dartanian laughed. “You will see when the time comes. But please, tell Mindonio to get ready. His skills will be needed as soon as possible. And keep an eye on Organization XIII. Word is that they are plotting against us after their new return.”
Bleh bowed at Dartanian’s feet. “Right away, master.”
As Bleh was walking out away, Dartanian shouted out something. “Oh, and don’t forget to tell my apprentice Kef to come up here.” Dartanian laughed as Bleh was out of sight.
MEANWHILE
Our heroes ventured out of a long journey in their gummi ship. Ajure and Taxima were starting to feel better, while the rest were grieving over Elle’s capture.
“Does anyone know where we are?” Xonic asked.
Sora looked around. “I think I know where we are,” he said. He noticed a large castle with a magnificent garden. No one was walking around, and the sky was dreadfully dark.
“Well…” Mira Li awaited an answer.
“Disney Castle. At least, I think it is.”
The took a walk around the castle. All of the pillars were looking weak and extremely damaged. The drapes were tattered, the paintings torn to shreds, and the doors were almost destroyed to an oblivion. But finally, they reached the library, where there was someone reading a book.
“Who is that?” the reader asked. The voice was feminine, sounding sweet and caring.
“I’m Sora, and these are my friends.”
She jumped up. “Sora?!?!” She put down the book. “It is me, Queen Minnie.”
Once they heard the word queen, they all bowed down at her feet. “What happened here?” Eagle questioned.
Minnie turned around. “There was a man with a black and white cloak who came into the castle about three months ago. He had black hair and had the power of fire. He managed to sneak past the guards and destroy the Cornerstone of Light. Then, darkness fell upon the world. Wicked creatures led by the man. We had to put up a fight to protect ourselves. Most of our soldiers were destroyed, the few others were injured. The battle lasted about two days without rest. King Mickey, Donald, and Goofy are gone now. They managed to escape until they get stronger. We only have three soldiers that are in fighting condition, Dark, Gil, and Ryuusuke. They are weak from injury, but they are strong in will. They will be willing to fight if you take them with you. I would lend them my gummi ship, but Donald, Goofy, and King Mickey took the only ones that are still useable, the others were destroyed. Please, you guys are the only hope left for this world and the others.”
Sora nodded in understanding. “We will Queen Minnie.”
“Okay. Thank you,” she responded.
They all walked out of the castle to the gummi ship that was parked in the garden. On the whole world, the only thing left untouched by Half-Hearts was the garden.
“You guys, we need to split up to all the other worlds. We need to find Elle AND the Order of Shadows before it is too late,” Kenji announced.
“He’s right. There are so many of us. We should split up and search,” Xonic agreed.
“Well, how will we figure out the groups?” Kairi asked.
“Here, there will be four groups. There would be at least four or five in each group, so that should be enough. I’ll have myself, Kairi, Kenji, Ray, and Gil,” Sora said.
Riku stood up. “I’ll take Mira Li, Dark, and Ryuusuke.”
“Okay, so Cloud, Femix, Draco, and Mega,” Xonic said.
Kadash stood up and stepped in front of everyone. “Okay. I guess that gets me Ajure, Taxima, and Princess.”
Femix looked around and remembered something. “Wait a sec, who gets the gummi ship? I mean, we only have one gummi ship.”
Ray shouted, “Our group doesn’t need a ship. We have a way to travel by darkness… me!”
“Same with my group,” Riku said.
Ajure spoke his first words in a very long time. “I can make dark portals.”
“Hmm… I guess we get the ship,” Draco said.
“But, how will we keep in contact with each other?” Taxima asked.
“Don’t worry,” Gil said. “Dark, Ryuusuke and I have a ton of communicators. Just enough for each group to get one.”
“That’s true,” Ryuusuke added.
Dark gave the communicators to one person in each group. “Okay, so, when do we leave?”
Xonic looked up the sky. It looked painfully dark and dreary. “Right now. If this magical place can be eaten in darkness, all of the others can, too. We need as much time as possible.”
Sora nodded. “He’s right. We are about to head into the biggest adventure of our lives. This isn’t going to be a one fight situation. There will be multiple battles. I can almost guarantee that.”
Mira Li agreed. “Alright. We are all ready, so let’s go,” she said in an enthusiastic manner.
And so, Xonic’s group took off in the gummi ship, while the other three left in darkness. They hoped they would all survive the greatest adventure that they have ever heard of.
A FEW HOURS LATER
Kef, Dartanian’s apprentice, walked up the stairs of the castle. He had received Bleh’s message that Dartanian wanted him. As he approached the dreary veranda of the castle, he went over toward Dartanian and bowed. “You called for my services, Master. What can I be of assistance to?”
“Kef, tell all of the members to train, and train hard. All of us may be fighting… especially with the separation of the group. This isn’t going to be as easy as we thought,” Dartanian said. He glanced up at the sky, which had every aspect of midnight, except for the lightning bolts Dartanian created.

Hearts of Twilight Chapter 9


Bleh was running up to the top of the castle at a breath taking pace. He had news just so important, it couldn’t wait.

He reached Dartanian. “Master, we have a problem,” Bleh said in one breath.

“What is it Bleh? And please, slow down a bit,” he replied.

“They split up into different groups,” he said.

“Ugh. They just screwed up our plans. Now we have to train everyone overtime to defeat these imbeciles. How many groups did they make?”

“Four,” Bleh replied.

“Okay. Mindonio has already been sent out. How about sending Makle, Nibs, and Jake,” Dartanian said.

Bleh bowed. “Yes, Master Dartanian. But, should I spy on Xonic’s group?”

Dartanian pondered on this thought for a moment. “Well, I guess you should. Make sure Kef has an eye out on our prisoner, though.”

“Yes, Master,” Bleh said as he made his way inside, leaving the veranda Dartanian was on in his tracks.

MEANWHILE

Xonic, Cloud, Mega, Femix, and Draco were getting off their gummi ship. They came across a world full of pumpkins and skeletons.

“Where are we?” Mega asked.

Cloud looked around and sighed. “I have no clue.”

Xonic looked around to see if he could find any humans. There was one human, a teenage girl with dark red eyes and blonde hair, reaching to about her shoulders.

Xonic ran up to her. “Err, excuse me. Could you tell me where we are?”

The girl turned around and looked at Xonic. “We are in Halloween Town, a world where every single day is filled with Halloween mystery,” she replied.

Femix jumped up and down in excitement. “Yay! Halloween everyday!”

Draco looked down in disgust. “Femix, you idiot. You would get hyper everyday.”

Xonic turned around and laughed. “Draco, she IS hyper everyday.”

The girl laughed. “Well, who are you guys? Where are you from?”

Cloud walked over. “I am Cloud, and they are Xonic, Mega, Femix, and Draco.”

Mega added, “We are from Twilight Town.” O Twilight Town. How they all missed their home. They wondered what had become of it since they left.

“Well, I’m Kuza,” the girl added.

Suddenly, a girl with long blonde hair and green eyes ran up to Kuza. “Kuza, we are under attack.”

“Are you sure, Eclipse?”

Eclipse, the second girl, nodded. “Absolutely positive.”

As Eclipse and Kuza made their way toward the town square, Xonic turned around to his group. “We should help them.”

MEANWHILE

Riku’s group of himself, Dark, Mira Li, and Ryuusuke walked out of a dark portal. They arrived to a world of jungle overgrowth. With them being the only visible humans, they decided to explore.

“Ugh. It’s so hot in this forsaken jungle,” Mira Li remarked.

Ryuusuke was at the back. “Yeah. Riku, can we take a break?” he asked.

“No problem, but only a quick little break,” Riku granted.

Dark looked around. He heard crackling noises in the trees behind him. “What was that?” he asked.

Out of nowhere, a shadow of another person was approaching them with a sword and a shield.

LATER ON

Taxima, Ajure, Princess, and Kadash were roaming a world with a large clock tower in the center.

“Everyone, be careful,” Kadash warned.

Ajure crept behind Taxima and shouted “Boo!”

Taxima jumped up in shock. As his feet left the ground, they didn’t come back down. He was gliding through mid-air. “Hey, everyone! Look at me. I’m flying. I’m really flying,” he said excitedly.

Princess shouted, “Quick, be quiet. Before…”

Her words were cut off at the sound of an arrow darting through the air, just missing her forehead.

MEANWHILE

Sora, Eagle, Kairi, Kenji, Ray, and Gil were wandering their way through the town in a world called ‘Agrabah’. Sora was well-aware of the secret wonders of Agrabah, but things had changed in the past few years. His friends, Aladdin, Jasmine, and Genie, were gone. Out of sight from everyone. Then again, no one was in sight.

“Where is everybody?” Eagle asked.

Sora looked around. Agrabah had seemed like more of a ghost town right now. “I have no clue.”

Ray was annoyed. “Well, this is just great.”

Kairi’s ears perked up. “You guys, I don’t think we are alone.”

Gil noticed a shadow run across the street. “Who are you? I know you are around here somewhere.”

No one would’ve seen what was going to happen next. No one did see, either. The shadow bolted over to them with a laser whip and a staff, cracking the whip at a lightning fast pace.

MEANWHILE ON ALTAMAR

Dartanian was walking down the halls of his castle. He approached a large, wooden door painted black. As he opened it, Kef looked to him from inside the room.

“Status report, Kef,” Dartanian ordered.

“Well, master, all four of them have reached their destinations on Agrabah, Halloween Town, Deep Jungle, and Neverland,” he reported.

Dartanian had an evil smirk on his face. “Excellent.”

Hearts of Twilight Chapter 10


Xonic, Cloud, Femix, Draco, and Mega caught up with Kuza and Eclipse. Kuza was slashing at the near-by Half-Hearts with her sword, while shooting the far ones with her laser gun. Eclipse seemed to be fighting with a ball and a chain. She was using her chain more like a whip, and the ball to distract the multitude of Half-Hearts. Xonic jumped into the midst of the hoard of half-Hearts, slashing them as he hit solid ground. Cloud used his Buster Blade to demolish those diminutive creatures. Mega’s sword was slicing these foul demons to oblivion. Femix was using her Crystal Blade to disturb the Half-Hearts by the multiple images of their face on the blade. She used this to her advantage. Draco’s Absolution keyblade was powerful against these Half-Hearts.

The breed of these Half-Hearts reflected the town. They were dark with pumpkin shaped hands and feet, but, using those deformities to their advantage. They could actually slide around on their feet because of their almost swollen structure.

Xonic could feel something crawling through his veins. It was an icy sensation of fear. He turned around and there was a figure jumping down from a building. The man struck him with a staff and a sword, both of the ice element, explaining Xonic’s feeling as cold as a mid winter blizzard. Xonic put his blades up just in time to block the blow.

“Who are you?” Xonic asked.

The manned unveiled the hood of his cloak, revealing blue hair and a smile making you want to shiver. “I am Mindonio of the Order of Shadows. They also call me the ‘Iced Being’, but I find that just a dimwitted pun,” Mindonio said.

Xonic charged up at the man. As he struck the man, he pointed his blade and staff at him simultaneously, casting a mighty freezing Blizzaga spell. Xonic spun his Mystery Keyblade in front of him, propelling the ice in shards, going off in different directions. As he approached Mindonio, he felt a sudden power. The words ‘Earth Knives’ were replaying over and over in his head. Using his better judgment, he took the knives out. He threw them at the ground, creating large spires of rock aimed right toward Mindonio. Mindonio did a back flip, avoiding the chunks of rocks ascending from the ground. As he preformed these acrobatic moves, he summoned a large path of ice. He jumped on top of one of the rock spires and jumped onto the ice, sliding his way around and generating more ice with his feet as he went further along.

Draco jerked his head and noticed the side-fight going on. He threw Absolution at Mindonio as he was on his path. But, however, Mindonio was able to block it.

While on his path, Mindonio was shooting ice shards from his fingertips, trying to damage Xonic. Xonic jumped up and started running on the side of the buildings in the town, throwing his knives at Mindonio while trying to counterattack. As Xonic had laid multiple hits on Mindonio, he realized he didn’t have any more knives handy. But then, he remembered about the Fire Arrows. Fire! Of course. He could use the fire element to melt Mindonio’s ice.

He shot Mindonio along with the ice multiple times until Mindonio lost his balance. He darted over toward the fallen Half-Heart and defeated him with a punishing blow. As Mindonio faded into darkness, he said “I’m not the last one you shall battle.”

Xonic thought to himself, “I know. Was this guy loco or something?” Of course Xonic knew Mindonio wasn’t the last one to meet in battle. He knew of Dartanian, Bleh, and knew there were most likely many others. Anyway, he noticed Mindonio dropped his sword and staff. He picked them both up, kept the staff for himself, and gave the sword to Mega, saying nothing.

What Xonic didn’t know, however, is that Bleh was right by him. He was cloaked by shadows. He crept into an alley and spoke on his watch communicator. He said, “Master, Mindonio was defeated.” There was no answer. Bleh looked over toward Cloud, who was glaring right at Bleh. “Better get out of here,” Bleh thought as he faded into a black portal.

MEANWHILE

In the Deep Jungle, Riku, Ryuusuke, Dark, and Mira Li encountered yet another member of the order.

This member looked at the group and right away he asked, “Hm… how would you like to be killed by me, Nibs, the Flaming Rage?”

Riku responded, but instead of responding with words, he responded in fighting. He struck Nibs with the Road to Dawn Keyblade as he was casting Dark Aura with his other hand. Ryuusuke came in and slashed Nibs, sending him back many feet. Dark teleported over to Nibs, slicing his with his Keyblade. Mira Li stood in her place, but was casting Lunar spells, making Nibs feel somewhat dreary.

Nibs was being obliterated by these harsh blows. But, he managed to find a minor hole to escape for a second. As he managed to take a breath, a large ball of fire surrounded him. The cast was growing at a rapid pace, damaging everyone around him by just being near.

Mira Li knew what to do. She got as close as she possibly could without getting burned, and she summoned a wave of water to head toward Nibs. As Nibs was drenched by the water, his fire had been extinguished by the fluid. Nibs fell on his knees as Ryuusuke threw his sword at his forehead. Fading into the darkness after being pierced by the sword, he was falling flat on his face.

Ryuusuke grabbed his sword, blood-covered, and took out a cloth, cleaning it from the blood of half a person.

IN NEVERLAND

Princess was in a state of shock. The arrow had just missed her by about a centimeter. She couldn’t move away form the wall.

Kadash looked at the direction from which the arrow was shot from. He noticed a cloaked figure with long, brown hair and a smirk that was unforgettable. He knew who it was at an instant.

“Well, well, well. Looks like my old enemy Jake,” Kadash said in a smug manner.

“Kadash. Long time, no SEE,” Jake said as he shot an arrow aimed at Kadash. Kadash rolled over just in time as the arrow would have hit him straight in the eye. Kadash reacted by jumped over at Jake and slashed him with his sword. The blow sent Jake back very far, but not far enough. He gained his footing on the side of a building, shooting Kadash as rapidly as possible. One lucky devil of an arrow cut across Kadash’s skin, causing him to feel a tingling ‘electric’ sensation. Kadash pointed his sword and the tip was following Jake, shooting fireballs at him. Jake was hit by many fireballs, each hit causing him more and more pain as his speed decreased. Jake had just enough power for one finishing attack, one that he knew Kadash was prone to from their childhood fights. Jake grabbed a jar of poisonous liquid from his pouch holding his arrows and dipped five arrows in it. He then shot all five at Kadash, followed by multitudes of lightning bolts aimed at him, each one gaining more power until finally there was one large bolt.

Kadash blocked all five arrows with his sword and shield, while dodging the bolts of lightning, even the largest one.

Taxima and Ajure dashed over toward Jake as Kadash was holding him off. They were followed by Princess, who was bearing a Keyblade. First, Princess jumped high into the air and threw her Keyblade at Jake. Then, Ajure and Taxima slashed Jake with their sword simultaneously, causing deep wounds in Jake’s chest. They finished up the barrage of attacks with a large shard of ice they created, finishing off the physically impaired Jake.

Ajure walked up toward Jake’s dead body as it was fading into the darkness. He asked, “Kadash, what went on between you two that you both knew each other?”

Kadash looked at the ground far below. He began to fly around for a moment in this mysterious world where anyone could fly. “We grew up in the same world together. We were arch rivals. The only connection between us was hatred. But, he’s gone now. Hopefully… forever.”

AGRABAH

The man cracked his whip at a lightning fast pace as he approached the group. He just missed his chance to damage Gil. He followed up this attack by piercing his staff into the ground. A sudden force was pulling them all close to the man. Sora knew in an instant what the man’s plan was leading up to. “Who are you? And why are you using Magnet magic?”

The man took of the hood of his cloak that once concealed his face from identity. His appearance was straight-faced, showing no emotions. His hair was shoulder length with a main color of brown with red streaks here and there. “Makle is the name. Killing you is my game,” he rhymed. “Magnera is just an easy little spell that if used right, can kick you…”

He was cut off by Eagle striking him with his sword from behind. Makle was pushed back several feet from the mighty blow, but, he counterattacked by casting Magnera on Eagle and summoning him closer. As he was about to slash him with the laser whip, Ray threw both of his Keyblades at Makle’s arms.

Kairi took out her flower-like Keyblade and began attacking Makle, while Kenji was slashing at Makle’s torso like a maniac. Gil approached Makle and started malevolently attacking him with his blade.

Sora followed up by using his Ultima Weapon Keyblade and Fenrir Keyblade in Final Form, his most powerful mode of fighting. He utterly destroyed Makle.

Makle had been beaten to oblivion. As he faded away, he shouted out, “The Order of Shadows will prevail, cause we are the best on any scale.” The group looked at each other and laughed at the rhyme.

ALTAMAR

Dartanian was sitting in his throne when Bleh came into the room filled with melancholy. “Master, all four of them have been defeated.”

Dartanian jolted up in surprise. “What?!?!? How is that possible?”

Bleh stated, “They are stronger than our projections would have led them to be. We must train harder.”

Dartanian got up and walked over to a window. He overlooked his world, filled with melancholy, depression, anguish, and fog. “Train them now. You and Kef will be in charge of making them train,” he said. “Now, go.”
