I have spent months preparing this story, and I really hope people will read it. So here it begins...

KINGDOM HEARTS ~ THE JOURNEY
Chapter One ~ The Beginning For All : Part 1

DISNEY CASTLE

It is late night, and everyone is sleeping or at least, ALMOST everyone is sleeping.

Someone is in the library writing a letter, and it seems urgent as they are writing fast and keep checking their watch

Once they are finished with that letter, they hand it to their trusty dog

The dog is then told, “Now give this to Donald but no one else, got that Pluto?”

Pluto the dog barks at his owner in understanding

“Good boy, now be good”

With that, the dog’s owner leaves without another word

STRANGE DARKNESS

In darkness, a voice is heard. A voice of a young boy…

“I’ve been having these weird thoughts lately”

“Like is any of this for real or not?”

A boy is then shown falling, but through what is unknown

When he lands, it is on his feet and on an island.

He shields his eyes from the bright light and sees another boy about his age in the water, this boy’s back is to him though

He starts to go towards this boy, but that is when the water recedes and a HUGE wave starts to form

He stops and looks at the boy in the water again. The boy turns to face him, and in a menacing way, stretches his hand out to him

The boy runs towards him just as the wave starts to come down and when he is about to reach the other boy’s hand, the wave comes crashing down…

When the boy is able to open his eyes again, he looks up underwater and sees the other boy still standing with his hand still stretched towards him

He struggles again to get to the other boy but he cannot do it, as something is holding him back

A current is what is keeping him from reaching the other boy. It causes him to fly backwards under the water and up to the surface.

The sun is setting when he reaches the surface and sees a young girl waving at him to get onto the beach, the same beach he landed on earlier.

He runs towards her, splashing through the water.

When he reaches her, she is giggling and he is out of breath

He looks up at her and smiles and she smiles back but then she looks up with a serious look on her face

He follows her gaze to the sky, where they see something falling…

Not just something, but it is him and he then falls backwards, but never hits the ground

The girl tries to grab him but it is far to late

He is then falling from the sky and then goes through the water

When he lands, the water disappears and so does the darkness…

He finds that he is standing on a platform, which looks like a picture of a young woman. A woman that he knows to be named as Snow White, though he has no idea how he knows this

The darkness that uncovered this platform turn into birds that fly off, and the boy in amazement looks on as they fly away

The second the last bird was out of view, a mysterious voice spoke to him

“So much to do, so little time…take your time. Don't be afraid. The door is still shut. Now, step forward. Can you do it?”

With that Sora starts to walk forward, looking for the source of the voice

A sword appears in front of him after a moment

“Now pick the sword up”

The boy does as he is told

The platform begins to disappear into the darkness and engulfs the boy

He falls again but again lands on another platform, this one shows a young woman who he knows to be Belle, yet again though he has no idea how he knows this

He walks forward with the sword in hand, when two small black creatures appear

“There will be times you have to fight. Keep your light burning strong”

Suddenly the small creature attacks, and the boy fights it and destroys it

“Shadows” The boy, says to himself, naming the creatures that had just attacked him

Again, he is swallowed by the darkness and lands on yet another platform, this one had a picture of a young woman named Aurora, and like the last two the boy had no clue how he knew her name, he just knew it

A door appeared almost immediately after he takes one step on the other side of the platform

The boy runs up to it and tries to open it

He pushes it but it won’t open, “I can’t open it…”

“A small chest then appears on the other side of the platform. Again, the boy runs to this new thing and tries to open it. It opens easily for him giving him a potion to keep himself healthy

Almost immediately after opening the chest, the door opens with a blinding light coming from it

The boy shields his eyes from it and goes into it

When the light goes away, he is on an island, with 3 people. A young girl, and two boys, none of which have been seen up until now.

He starts to walk away…

“Hold on, the door won’t open just yet”

He looks at the 3 kids, and then goes to the first one

“Hi Wakka” the boy says to the first boy

“Hiya there Sora” The boy named Wakka said

“How’s it going, Sora?” the other boy said

“I really don’t know Tidus” the boy we now know as Sora replied

“How can you not know how it’s going, Sora?” the little girl asks him

“I am as confused as you are, Selphie” Sora said, scratching his head

“Hmm, you hit ya head or sumthin’ Sora?” Wakka said, with a grin

Just then, Wakka, Tidus and Selphie froze and the mysterious voice spoke again

“Your adventure begins at dawn. As long as the sun is shining your journey should be a pleasant one”

“Sounds good, I guess…” Sora said uneasily

“The day you will open the door is both far off and very near”

Everything starts to swirl and darkness again takes over

Sora is again on a platform, this time it shows the picture of a young girl named Alice, and as with the last 3, Sora is unknown how he knows her name

There is a light in the middle of the platform. Sora approaches it. When he reaches it, a ton of Shadows appear and he defeats them all

After he defeated all the shadows, the light moves and reveals a pathway up to another platform

Sora runs up the platform and this one shows a young princess named Jasmine, again confused as to how he knows her name, he just shakes his head and looks around

Suddenly pictures appear on all sides of him, showing him different people, including the girl and boy from the beginning of his trip in the darkness

“Kairi,” Sora says, looking at the picture of the girl from before, and then looking at the picture of the boy, “Riku”

“Remember these faces, as they will help guide you on your quest”

Sora looks at all the pictures, and like the pictures of the girls, knows the names of the 6 others, but does not know how. Donald Duck, Goofy, Mickey Mouse, Jiminy Cricket, Pluto, and Cooper

After he had looked at all the pictures they dissolved to reveal yet another path, and Sora went along this path to another platform

This platform showed a young woman, he knew to be named Cinderella, but as before with all the pictures and the other platforms. He knew not of how he knew her name.

“The closer you get to the light, the greater your shadow becomes”

Sora’s shadow begins to grow huge, at least a hundred times the size of him, or at least that is how it seems to him

It transforms into a beast he knows to be known as Darkside, though how he knows is a mystery to him

“But don’t be afraid, and don’t forget…”

Sora then tries to run back down the path and almost fell off the platform, as the path was no longer there.

“But don’t be afraid, for you hold the mightiest weapon of all”

Darkside then attacks Sora, and he fights with his all, even using his only potion.

After what seemed like forever of battling this creature named Darkside, it started to waver, and it went to fall on Sora, and when it did the darkness, caused from Darkside, engulfed Sora but before it fully took Sora in, he heard the mysterious voice’s final words

“So don’t forget, you are the one who will open the door”

Darkness was then all he saw

Here is Part 2

DESTINY ISLANDS

Sora awakes on the beach that he started on

He sits up looks out onto the ocean, and then goes to lie back down

But he is startled by the young girl he knows as Kairi

“WOH” Sora yelps.

The girl giggles.

“Gimme a break, Kairi” Sora says to his friend.

“Sora, you lazy bum, I knew that I’d find you snoozing down here.” Kairi says with a grin.

“NO! This huge black thing swallowed me up, I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t…OWW!” Sora explains hastily.

Kairi knocks him over his head.

“Are you still dreaming?” Kairi ask.

“It wasn’t a dream…or was it? I don’t know,” Sora asks himself, “what was that place? So bizarre.”

“Yeah sure” Kairi says, not believing her friend.

“Say Kairi, what was your home town like? You know, where you grew up?” Sora asks Kairi.

“I’ve told you before, I don’t remember” Kairi says with her back to him.

“Nothing at all?” Sora asks again.

“Nothing.” Kairi says.

“Would you ever want to go back?” Sora asks her

“Hmm…Well I’m happy here” Kairi says.

“Really?” Sora asks her

“But you know,” Kairi says, “I wouldn’t mind going to see it”

“I’d like to see it to, along with any other worlds out there! I want to see them all!” Sora exclaims

“So what are we waiting for?” Kairi asks

“Hey!” Riku comes up behind them, “Aren’t you guys forgetting about me? So, I guess I’m the only one working on the raft”

Riku throws a log at Sora, he attempts to catch it but falls backwards as he does.

“and you’re just as lazy as he is” Riku says to Kairi

Kairi giggles, “So you noticed…okay we’ll finish it together, I’ll race you!”

“Huh” Sora exclaims

“What, are you kidding?” Riku asks

Kairi giggles as she speaks, “Ready, GO!”

They all start racing, Kairi really doesn’t try, but Sora and Riku are very competitive and Riku out races Sora.

They all get a list of materials they need for the raft and divide it up between the three of them and go looking.

As Sora is looking for his items he comes across Wakka.

“Hey, what’s happening?” Wakka asks

Sora and Wakka duel and Sora wins, Wakka congratulate him and goes on his way.

Sora then comes across Tidus, and they also duel, Sora again wins and Tidus sulks away sadly.

Selphie is at the docks with some fish and Sora and her duel for them. Sora wins and gets the fish, but before he can get away, Wakka, and Tidus walk up and challenge him to a one on three.

Sora agrees, and gets a beating but somehow manages to win.

He goes to Kairi with all of his supplies.

“Thanks Sora!” Kairi exclaims, “I found something today too. Here, it’s yours.”

Kairi gives Sora an old coin, with an empty hole in it, the shape of a key lock.

Sora then says thank you to her for it, as he feels it is very cool.

Kairi then asks Sora a question. “Tired? Want to call it a day?”

“Yeah, lets go home” Sora says.

“Ok,” Kairi starts, “it is getting late, we’ll finish up tomorrow.”

Later on that night, Sora is sitting on a branch on a small island with Kairi and Riku. They are talking.

“So,” Sora begins, “Kairi’s home is out there somewhere, right?”

“Could Be,” Riku answers, “we’ll never know by staying here.”

“But how far could a raft take us?” Sora then asks his friend.

“Who knows,” Riku begins, “if we have to, we’ll think of something else.”

“So, Suppose you get to another world,” Kairi then starts talking, “What would you do there?”

Riku then makes a statement, “Well, I haven’t really thought about it. It’s just…I’ve always wondered why we’re here on this island. If there are any other worlds out there, why did we end up on this one? And suppose there are other worlds…Then ours is just a little piece of something much greater. So, we could have just as easily ended up somewhere else, right?”

Sora lies down on the branch he was sitting on and replies, “I don’t know”

“That’s why we need to go out there and find out,” Riku starts up again, “Just sitting here won’t change a thing, it’s the same old stuff, so lets go.”

“You’ve been thinking a lot lately,” Kairi begins, “haven’t you?”

“Thanks to you,” Riku starts, which startles Sora, but then he says, “If you hadn’t come here, I probably would’ve never thought of any of this.” Riku pauses and then says, “Kairi, thanks”

Kairi giggles nervously, then says, “you’re welcome”

Kairi, Sora, and Riku then start to leave. Kairi goes ahead of the two boys when Riku calls to Sora, “Sora.”

Riku tosses Sora something which Sora catches.

“You wanted one, didn’t you?” Riku asks his friend

Sora, confused, says, “a paopu fruit…”

“If two people share one,” Riku starts, “their destinies become intertwined. They’ll remain a part of each others lives no matter what. C’mon I know you want to try it.”

Sora, even more confused, says, “what are you talking about?”

Riku laughs, and Sora realizes his friend is pulling his leg. Sora tosses the paopu fruit and they start heading on their way.

As they are going to their homes, there is a lightening bolt that hits near where the raft is located. Riku, Sora and Kairi all get worried and rush to the location, to make sure their raft is ok.

Once they make it there the raft is fine, but someone is passed out on it.

They check to make sure the person is ok, and in the end, bring the person to the mayors house. Which is where Kairi is living. The mayor takes the strange guy in and has a doctor check up on him. Sora and Riku are sent home and Kairi is sent to bed.

DISNEY CASTLE

First thing the next morning at Disney castle, Donald Duck is heading towards the throne room in the castle. When he gets to the huge doors, he opens a small door in the corner to get inside the room.

As he walks up to the king’s throne, he begins to greet the king, “Good Mornin’, your majesty. It’s nice to see you this morn…WHAT!?”

The king was no where to be seen. In fact the place is empty, that is until Pluto comes around from behind the King’s throne with a letter in his mouth. Donald takes this letter.

Donald quickly reads over this letter, and after a few minutes of reading Donald flips out and runs out of the castle to the castle grounds.

Once outside he runs to the castle knight, Goofy, who is sleeping in the shade of a tree.

“Wake Up, Goofy, wake up!” Donald frantically tries to wake up his friend, “This is serious!”

Goofy does not wake up, and this angers Donald, so he casts a spell on Goofy. This causes lightening to hit Goofy, and it woke him up instantly.

“Hey There, Donald,” Goofy sleepily states, “G’morning.”

“We’ve got a problem, Goofy!,” Donald quickly states, “but don’t tell anyone…”

“Queen Minnie?” Goofy says without really paying any attention to Donald.

“Not even the queen!” Donald yells at his friend

“Daisy?” Goofy, still ignoring to his friend, said.

“No,” Donald angrily says, “It’s top secret!”

“G’morning ladies” Goofy says to Queen Minnie and Daisy who are both standing behind Donald.

“What?” Donald looks sheepishly behind himself. Then laughs as if embarrassed. Daisy looks annoyed with Donald.

They all go to the library and go over everything.

Meanwhile…

It's not bad, though perhaps you could add a bit more description? What'd be good is if you took the time to describe things a bit, even though most of us here know how everything looks. But, hey, just offering constructive critique. Though, I admit, not many fics use present tense, though I'm more partial to past myself. XD

Just don't give up. Keep on writing, and all that stuffs! =O

thanks , I will take your constructive critique in mind. As a writer, writing in more detail has always been my weakest part. I am trying to be better, and am working at it.
