| The Disposed Hero | Though I may suck at writing, I'm trying at a KH fanfic. Might be my last damn time, I don't know. We'll just see on what goes on. People: BUT DEREK, YOU REALLY SUCK. GO KILL YOURSELF. Oh joy. You respond. Thank you. Now, shut up and listen. Quick Things ~PG-13. {Side Note: YAY, I CAN NOW READ MY OWN FANFICS} This rating equals blood, violence, language, and flying gerbils that pull your nose off and stuff them up your butt. Yep, pretty good rating. ~Weird Stuff Happens {YOU CAN COUNT ON IT} So, if you came, and expected the same old "KEYBLADER SAVE THE WORLD" story. . . you're sorta right. But a LOT of changes have happened. I mean A LOT. Like, INSANE changes. ~Lulz, Space-Waste ~This MIGHT tie in with another fanfic in the works by another. . . Anyways, I'll make a quick post, and edit it fully tomorrow. Don't go thinking that this crappy opening is my true opening! I WILL KILL YOU IF YOU ASSUME SO. ~DAWN.ofanew.DAY~ "Chirp Chirp!", the birds were chirping merrily, which caused Derek to stir. He stretched his arms, and stood up, out of his bed. He rubbed his eyes, stretched once more, and stood up. His tall, lean figure was very apparent; he was about 6'0, and weighed about 125 lbs., but he was very thin. His brownish-blode hair, wildly-curly, had a strange tilt to it this morning. He sagged his shoulders, and walked over towards his closet. He grabbed a pair of black shorts, which stretched down a bit past his knees. He put on his black-and-white skate-shoes, and his red wristband, and set off out of his room, and downstairs. As he walked about the empty house, he couldn't help but notice that sad state it was in. Spider webs were around the house. Dust was on most objects. Broken chairs and tables were cluttered about, and the windows boarded up with wooden planks. It looked like an abandoned house, a shack, even. It wasn't a very nice place to live, for sure. The only few rooms that looked liveable were the kitchen, and Derek's bedroom. Other than that, he could have passed it off for an abandoned house. Yet, Derek couldn't help but feel attatched to the house; it had served it's purpose in the earlier years. However, Derek didn't mind it today. He was going for a meeting. Walking towards the door, and opening it, he stepped out into "Wonderful Twilight Town". And yet, it wasn't as "wonderful" as everyone said it. Ever since the Imperial Division had taken it. Hell, the name didn't even make sense anymore; instead of glistening with the Twilight Sun, the sky was covered by thick, black thunder clouds, that resembled shadows late at night. The town appeared ruined; buildings with large holes in them, stories of houses missing, even completely levelled buildings. Derek hated what the Imperial Division had done to Twilight Town. The Imperial Division. . . a bunch of no-good arrogent jerks. They had begun invading Twilight Town earlier in that year, and it fell in just under a month. Ever since then, they had waged war with the "Unseen". Nobody knew what the Unseen were, because, of course, nobody ever lived long enough to describe them. Derek was disgusted; the Imperial Division had brought the Unseen with them to Twlight Town. And there was nothing that could be done. Or was there? The meeting Derek was going to was probably going to make a change in Twilight Town, however minor, a change nonetheless. He knew where they were meeting; the spot under the train-tracks. The train had been destroyed, along with most of the train line. There was to be no way out of here for them. But, this had raised another intresting question, one which Derek hoped he would gain the answer for today. He began walking away from the house, and suddenly, heard a person shout. "Hey you! Come here!" an Imperial Guard shouted at him. Derek turned slightly, and started towards the guard. He looked him over. Wearing a regular steel battle-plate, plate helm, and a large claymore on his back. Derek felt vaugely intimidated by the sword, but not by the guard. He walked with a certain haste about him that seemed rather abnormal. The guard seemed to notice this, but did not speak about it. Derek walked up to the guard, and stood four inches from his face. "Yeah? Whatcha' want?" he asked, in his usual, sarcastic tone. "You were acting suspicious back there. Mind telling me what the hell you're doing?" he questioned. "No, not really.", and before the guard could protest, Derek was running off. "Hey, you! Get back here!" he shouted, chasing after Derek with all of his available speed. "Idiot. You'll never catch me." Derek thought smugly, and kept running. He weaved in and out of buildings, and soon enough the guard was lost in a tangle of broken buildings and broken houses. Derek was smiling, and feeling smug with himself, when he suddenly heard the guard scream out loudly. He heard a small splatter of blood hit the ground, and he immediatly knew; the Unseen were nearby! As quickly as he could, he was running off, and heard the Unseen's screams of protest at their victim escasping them. Derek knew stopping meant certain suicide, unless he could find a place to hide out for a little while. . . That's it for now. Expect much, much more tomorrow. Oh, and please post something if you read this. It'd be super swell. |

| The Disposed Hero | OOC: Thank ya RENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNA. Choo better be making YOURS soon. . . ![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, and think of TWTNW Castle when I talk about a castle. IC: ~DAWN.ofanew.DAY~{theUSUALspot} Derek saw his chance, and quickly jumped into a broken building. He pressed himself up against the wall, and crouched down. He heard the rapid footsteps coming up towards him. . . and he knew he was going to die. But, out of sheer luck, probably, the Unseen ran past him. Derek was too scared to lift his head, and see what they truely looked like. Sighing slightly, he stood up, brushed himself off, and looked up towards the centre of town. What should have been the Clocktower (long destroyed), was a very, very large floating white castle. It had six points sticking up out of it, five on the outside and one in the centre, which stretched seemingly through the sky. Apparently, each "tower" of sorts, belonged to the strongest men and women in the Imperial Division. Derek wasn't enitrely sure if that was true or not, but he kept that thought in his head. Derek hated it, and wanted to see it destroyed. It served as a beacon, to those whom had survived the onslaught, that Twilight Town would probably never be taken back. But, Derek knew, in his heart, that it would eventually be taken from the Imperial Division. How soon, however, was yet to be discovered. Derek sighed once more; why was he thinking about all of this stuff right now? The important thing was to get to the Usual Spot, and meet with the group, and discuss about what they were going to do. Derek had a felling it had to do with getting the Imperial's out of the town, and that might drive off the Unseen. It might be wistful thinking, but Derek didn't mind using hope. In this town, hope was the only thing that kept most survivors from killing themselves. Derek began walking once more, towards the castle, but darted into a back alley. He knew that the Imperial's would be out, and this was probably the safest route to the spot. He looked behind him, just to be sure that the Imperial Division weren't following him, or that the Unseen were either. He knew his way from here, and went from one alley to another. It seemed like a twisting, never-ending maze, but Derek knew where the end was. Suddenly, he heard a human scream, and then, something that made his blood stop; an Unseen cry. His pace began quickening, and soon it broke into a full-fleged sprint. Derek ran as if a demon was chasing him (the Unseen might have been), and soon, he was right near the spot. He ran towards it, pushing the drape that made it seem like a normal, broken down area aside, and he was in. The musty smell of the Usual Spot never seemed to go away. Derek could now see a bit better, for there was a lantern hanging from the wall. Looking around, he could see that it looked a lot like it had before the Invasion, but not as bright, and that odd, musty smell hung around. He then noticed that Hayner, Pence, Olette, Seifer, Fuu and Rai were here. So, he was the last one. He sighed, a vauge blush on his face for being late (it disappeared very shortly), walked over to a tacky, worn-out chair, and flopped himself down in it, sighing slightly. "What took ya' so long?" Hayner questioned. "Just a little run in with a guard and some Unseen. I gave 'em the slip." Derek said, not being able to hold back his grin. "Well, take this." he replied, handing Derek a longsword. "At least next time, you'll be able to fight back a bit." he said, smiling. Derek pulled it from it's sheath, and admirred the shiny metal blade. It looked as thought it hadn't been used in a long time. It even looked brand new. Nodding his appreciation to Hayner, who shot him a small smile, he then realized that the handle felt warm, almost soft, even. That was rather odd. . . why did a sword handle feel soft, and warm? Questions aside, Derek put it back in it's sheath quickly, set it down beside him, and looked at everyone. "So, what's the plan?" he asked, grinning. OOC: Well, that's Chapter II. Expect Chapter III up later on today, and maybe Chapter IV late tonight, or early tomorrow. Last edited by OneNineNineFour; 02/09/07 at 07:56 PM. |
