AND THE
HOLY GRAIL

Prologue: The Door to Alternate Reality

One year. A long time in some ways, but to Sora, Riku, and Kairi the year had flown by. They were once again happy in Destiny Islands. They spent their days as they used to, and at night they would sit together and remember all of the dark days brought on by Xehanort's nobody and heartless. Sometimes, the three got a little tired of the quiet life that they had come back to. But one day, the chance for adventure came once again.

A note in a bottle washed up on the shores. The trio sat on the horizontal palm tree on the small island. Riku was the first to spot it.

"Hey, guys," he said nonchalantly. "There's a bottle with a note in it on the beach."

Sora and Kairi searched for the object, and their eyes finally rested on the blue glass bottle with a tan parchment stuffed in it. They all jumped off of the palm and into the water. The cold ocean was a nice contrast to the heat of the sun. Sora led the way and swam to shore. They walked up onto the beach and drip-dryed for a moment, then Kairi picked up the bottle. She pulled out the cork in the top with a pop and pulled out the parchment. Sora and Riku stood behind her and watched as she unrolled the scroll. At the top was a familiar seal.

It was a message from King Mickey. Kairi knew she didn't need to point that out. She began to read it.

"Dear Sora, Riku, and Kairi,

Greetings from all of us at Disney Castle. On some news from here, we have added some new buildings and towers to the castle complex. Also, in the depths of the castle's dungeon, we have discovered a large door. We'll have a look at it if you can come.

In case you've lost track of time, I would like to inform you that it has been exactly one year since the defeat of Xemnas and the fall of Organization XIII. In memory of this day, I have decided to have a feast in honor of the good that was accomplished that day, or night... hard to tell in The World that Never Was. Anyway, I hope that you can come to the celebration. It will be good to catch up.

From all your friends at Disney Castle and yours truly,

King Mickey."

Kairi lowered the letter. There was a moment of silence as they thought of the past year. Then they all smiled.

"Who wants to go?" Sora asked. He got dull looks from Kairi and Riku. They laughed, then headed towards the town. In minutes, they would be on their way.

All was quiet as Riku steered the gummi ship through space. It had been awhile since they had used it, but they quickly got their space legs again. Sora looked out of the window of the gummi at the vast expanse. He remembered the last time he was going through the worlds they were in chaos. Maybe something bad was going to happen again.

Sora rid himself of the thought and kept staring into space. Kairi nudged his shoulder, and he turned to see the white Disney Castle looming before them. Riku found the gummi hangar and landed in it. The three climbed out and were greeted by the two chipmunks, Chip and Dale. They went berserk with joy, and Sora, Kairi, and Riku laughed at their antics. Then the five moved out and into the courtyard. They walked around the castle of shrubbery and found Goofy sleeping in the afternoon sun. They walked up, and sora nudged his sleeping friend in the stomach. Goofy lept up and went into a fighting stance. When he saw the three keybearers, he laughed and gave them a hug.

The all moved on to the Audience Chamber, which was now laid out with a large table. The brooms were busy cleaning up. At the end of the hall, the six could see Donald, Daisy, Mickey, and Minnie. Sora, Riku, and Kairi ran up to greet the King and the ones around. They all exchanged words and hugs and laughs and greetings. Then Donald cut right to the chase.

"Come, let's show you the door." Everyone watched as the thrones slid aside, revealing the chamber that held the Cornerstone of Light. They walked downt the stone steps into the chamber. Sora remembered it just as before, the door to Timeless River still there. Except there was one large problem.

An entire section of the wall behind the Cornerstone was missing. Mickey led the way to it. When they arrived they saw that the stones were now tan, and that small sconces holding brightly lit torches led the way down. Everyone walked down the steps that seemed to many to count and reached the bottom. This was in an antechamber.

"So how exactly did you find this place?" Sora asked Mickey. The king looked up at him.

"Well, one day the brooms were doing some cleaning in here and the noticed that when they would touch the wall, it sounded rather hollow. So, we came and investigated. When we came, we tapped the wall. When we hit one of the spaces, it collapsed in. We continued clearing out the path until we found the stairway. So, right now, we are going to open the door in the next room."

With that, Mickey led them out of the antechamber and into the main room. Everyone's gaze was drawn to the thing at the end.

It was a huge red door. It was shaped like and hour glass and had a large keyhole in it. To its sides were small podiums that held swirling balls of energy atop them. Sensing the need, Mickey, Sora, Kairi, and Riku summoned their keyblades. They aimed them at the keyhole, and a bright beam of white light eminated from them.

The door began to open. A loud creaking issued forth. Behind the door was a strange blue light. Everyone was amazed as a figure came out from the door. They were even more amazed when they saw who it looked like.

It looked like King Mickey.

Only he had silvery hair. He wielded a keyblade too: it was the Inverted Kingdom, just like the one in Mickey's hand. King Mickey walked up to the newcomer.

"Who are you?"

The Mickey-look-alike smiled. "I am Neo-Mickey. And you, my friend, are gone." With that, Neo-Mickey pointed his keyblade at the door. It opened fully, and everyone but Neo-Mickey was pulled towards it.

"What are you doing?" Goofy asked.

Neo-Mickey smiled. "This is The Door to Alternate Reality. Using its power, I intend to take over your universe. Now good-bye!"

They watched as Neo-Mickey faded away, and the door closed. Sora thought back to his time in the gummi ship, thinking that something bad would happen. It had. Riku had one thought as well.

"I wish we had had the feast."

It's very, very short, and not too much happened, so I can't say too much.

I would like to say that this production is more so crash's than my own (he just so happens to be the better writer of the two of us).

Although, I'll always be there to amuse him and give great ideas ^.~

Chapter 1: A Simple Question of Weight Ratios

The air was crisp and cold on the cloudy morning. A heavy mist shrouded the landscape. The green hills echoed with a clapping sound.

Mickey galloped over a hill and downward on an imaginary horse. Behind him, a broom was laden with a pack, and in its hands it held two coconut halves. Mickey himself was unsure of what he was doing. He couldn't remember anything that had happened: no Disney Castle, no Door to Alternate Reality, no Neo-Mickey, nothing. And so he went up to the walls of a large castle.

He called up to anyone who might be on the ramparts. Soon after, a person stuck their head out over the ramparts. Mickey gazed at the face and it looked rather familiar.

"Who are you?" Demyx called down from the castle walls.

"I am Mickey, King of the keybearers, Defeater of the Heartless, Sovereign of all worlds." Mickey's mind was trying to place a name with the face atop the walls.

"And who's the other one?" Demyx called back.

"I am, and this is my trusty servant...er-." He paused, realizing that the brooms didn't have names. "Er, this is my trusty servant... Broomy!"

Demyx nodded. "What's your purpose."

Mickey looked up. "I seek the finest and the bravest knights to join me in my court at Disney Castle. Tell your master that Mickey from the court of Disney is here, and that if he will give us food and shelter he may join my court. We have ridden since the first snows of winter covered this land. Through the kingdom of Mercia, through..."

"Where'd you get the coconuts?" Demyx shouted and interrupted. Mickey, a bit flustered, looked away for a moment, then answered.

"We found them."

"Found them? In Mercia? The coconut's tropical."

"The swallow may fly south for the winter, the nightengales and the housemartins seek warmer climes in winter. Yet these are not strangers to our lands."

"Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?"

"Not at all. They could be carried."

"By what, a swallow?"

"It could grip it by the husk."

Demyx rolled his eyes. "Its not a question of where he grips it. Its a simple question of weight ratios. A five ounce bird cannot carry a one pound coconut."

Mickey was getting annoyed. He wasn't getting anywhere with this guard who was familiar yet very strange to him. Mickey decided to get to the point.

"Will you please tell your master that Mickey from the court of Disney is here to see him?"

Just then, another guard who had been listening to the conflict, raised his head above the ramparts. Mickey recognized his face as one of familiarity, but again there was no name.

"Suppose an African Swallow carried it," Luxord announced.

"Well an African Swallow maybe, but not a European Swallow, thats what I'm saying."

"Then, of course, African Swallows are non-migratory." Luxord said.

Mickey, seeing that these two would keep debating a while yet, decided just to leave the castle and continue on. In the background, he could still here the two guards.

"What if two swallows carried it together?"

"No, they'd have to have it on a line,"Demyx said.

"Simple. Just use a strand of creeper."

"What, held under the dorsal guiding feathers?"

"Well why not?"

Mickey finally got out of earshot of the guards. He looked back at the castle and imagined the guards' faces again. He looked, and then everything connected. Demyx and Luxord.

"How could the Organization be back?" Mickey murmured. Then he remembered the events of before: Neo-Mickey and everyone's banishment into Alternate Reality. Mickey then realized that no one recognized who he was. Somehow, the Door to Alternate Reality had erased nearly all memory from everyone.

Except Mickey.

"I've got to find a way out."

Now, this whole thing doen't make any sense.
Neo-Mickey probably isn't like because he's an evil spin-off of a cherished character. Some people justy can'ty grabby onto the idea of evil in a too good of a member.

Make the chapters longer. Also the brooms don't have ears so how could they hear a hollow noise coming from the wall when they hit it?
