| Boys be suspicious | I think I'll call this 1st section 'Calling Out To Brother', which I was originally going to use as my title for the whole thing. It's more like a prologue than part of the real story, but meh. Calling out to their brother, they waited in the alcove. They knew their brother would be there soon and he had to pay. Holding this in mind, they had complete faith in what had been decided and would carry forth their father's divine will without hesitation. Poised on the edge of their conviction, their determination knew no limits. The boundless energy of their father flowed through their veins and permeated their spirits; this is what they would need as their brother had truly betrayed them. Other than what they were told, they knew nothing. The faithful siblings were never told how old they were or even where they came from. If they left out of their minds what was not needed then they could attain completion without distraction. But their brother had been tainted by the woman. The heretic. The filthy wretch who had poisoned the heart of their once pure brother. It was a tragedy and a horror that she existed in their father's world. The world their father would inherit when the crisis comes. The world they would inherit themselves after him. He and The Kindred. The Father and his Offspring. He told them of the ensuing and inevitable crisis and how they would be saved. How it would save them. Now their brother threatened it all. Calling out again in vain to the betrayer, the brothers patience was being tested. For them, though, this was little more than an inconvenience. Their brother would need to pass through their position if he wanted to achieve his goal. Their tainted brother had stolen the fragments of an ancient treasure from their most sacred sanctum and intended to find the rest for himself. This treachery would not be forgiven; their father had ordered no mercy, but their brother expected none, he knew the consequences of what he was attempting. Knowing what to expect from his siblings, Hayden waited anxiously. He knew they were waiting. He knew because he could see what they though. Their shared consciousness still remained partially as a result of their shared father. But Hayden's thoughts were hidden from them, as he had attained a will of his own. He was saved from The Kindred by the woman. The saviour. The beautiful heroine who had opened his eyes and shown him his own will. It was a blessing and a gift that she had come to him, to give the world back to the people. The world needed to be protected from the crisis, not embrace it. It was everybody's responsibility. The Kindred ignore this and instead choose faith in a false deity. The renounced brother could stop it all. Jaded by her own existence, Elena contemplated whether or not she was right to send Hayden against his own brothers, The Kindred. She did not doubt his strength or his will, but his newly discovered consciousness. His own consciousness for his own body. His own body. This she now envied above all else. As a memory of her and her own siblings she cannot take physical form. She needed a willing host to act through. Elena again questioned her own conviction. Would her comrades agree with releasing a new mind into the world, splintered from one so powerful? Underneath his own body, Hayden's soul was screaming for remorse. The memories of his life before his awakening from Father remained and tormented him. The deeds he had done in his name and for his cause. The cause he is now fighting. Hearing his brother's calls again he followed to meet his past once more. He saw them from a distance. They intended no ambush. No trickery and no deception. The Kindred had no desire to degrade themselves for this task. The Father is a proud and noble man and does not condone callous ruses. He goes to face his own shadows from his own mind. C&C very welcome. |
