Rep Power: 9 ![]() ![]() | “ The time has come, the wise man said, To talk of many things. Of lies and tricks And deceiving stings Of wretched queens and dying kings The time has come to talk of things Of many things indeed.” “But wait a moment before our chat For as of yet, we have not met My name I cannot tell you it Lest my secret slip and life forfeit.” “I come here now to tell you how A land was baned and plagued By a vile queen who would not rest ‘till she saw her king take his dying breath.” “A beauty in youth, but sadly poor Your years she struggled and perspired Until she chanced upon a royal lad And in her mind, conspired.” “Power, she sought Dark games she played, Moving pawns at will. Deceiving minds and bearing lies with unprecedented skill.” “She feigned love, she feigned hate A serpent hidden within a dove. She plotted, she schemed, Of her reign she dreamed No power would ever be enough.” “One night it came Her chance displayed Within a cup of mine. A spot of poison, A mixing finger, And her husband continued to dine.” “For weeks he struggled Wracked with pain His wife stood by his side, watching him with careful eyes Smiling the moment he died.” “The land was hers And only hers The land of alabaster snow. The azure isles The verdant plains Were hers and hers alone.” “She won through lies Conquered with deceit. In the public, a saint But in private, a thief.” "I write this now, from where I hide bearing the masque of an ally who stands at her side. Should I ever meet you In battle or stride Remember the phrase 'To freedom we ride' " ------------------- I was inspired by Lewis Carroll's "The Walrus and the Carpenter" and an RP post made in the chat yesterday. I don't know how long I want it to be, but it isn't done yet. Last edited by Blackest Night; 01/25/07 at 01:48 AM. |

| We Suffer for Fashion | Already told you my opinion on AIM, but I will post still. I love the narcissism in it. Also reminds me of government. ^_^ <3333 |

| I love the way you make it sound... | Oooh. I like it. It's got a sort of dark feel to it, verse-wise, but the rythym makes it bouncy. Awesomeness. I want to read more. |

Rep Power: 9 ![]() ![]() | I've just added the last stanza. I believe that is all for the poem. |
