Chapter 1

I typed in my real name for my desktop, Amaya, which meant "Night Rain". I then proceded to give my character the name Aysel, a Turkish name that meant "Moonlight"

I was then brought to "The World" Intro Screen. A lot had changed in this newer version. I remembered how I had been talking to my friend Ryou on the phone when he then told me about this new online computer game that came out.

"But isn't 'The World' unsafe? After that stuff that happened in the last module they sent out?", I asked him.

"This is a new 4.0 version, as I hear. There's also a new ALTIMIT version as well. New goggles and everything. The company claims its safe. They even had beta testers thatshowed up and said so themselves. I've already tried it. It's loads of fun. Listen, after you make an account, I'll meet you at [Delta-Aqua Capital Mac Anu]. See you then.", he said as he had hung up on me.

I was somewhat unsure of this. A while back ago, they had made this game, and it was full of virus bug that put people in comas. But it seems that they had cleared the bugs out. Maybe it was safer now...

So now here I was signing up for the newer version. I watched "The World" flash across the computer screen. There was two swords connected to each other. One said "Key of Twilight" and the other said "Key of Moonlight"

I clicked on "Login", grinning widely.

[Delta-Aqua Capital Mac Anu]

Aysel appeared in front of the warp gate in the sleepy little town. A few people ran by her, chatting with each other, trading, or shopping at the nearby markets. Aysel looked down at her clothes. She was wearing black robes and a black mage hat, with white beaded tassles coming off it and hanging around her face. She had long white hair under her hat and bright purple eyes.

She had selected to be a mage that dealt in the arts of white and black magic. She carried a rod that was white with a black sphere. She now had to find Ryou.

"Hey, Aysel!", called a voice.

Aysel turned to see someone waving to her. It was a young man wearing a get up similar to hers, except that his eyes were brown and he wore no hat, his spikey white hair hung in his face. He was carrying a heavy looking blade as well, a white blade with a black handle.

"Glad to see you made it! I thought you would never show up!", he laughed as he walked over to her.

"....Ryou?", she suddenly asked.

"I'm known as Bakura here. I'm pretty well known and quite strong, since I've been playing for so long.", he told her.

"Wow, you look nothing like the real Ryou.", Aysel joked. She found it hard to imagine small little Ryou like this.

"Hey, let's get going. Theres this great level one place. I can help you train. We need to go to [Delta-Bursting Passed Over Aqua Field]", he said. He walked up to the warp gate behind Aysel as he put in the coordinates. The gate opened to reveal a small field. He went through the gate and into the field. Aysel shrugged as she then ran, following after.

They soon appeared in a huge field. Aysel was somewhat confused. "Bakura, why is it that these levels sound like levels that were in the previous version of 'The World'?"

"Honestly, all they really did was do a huge data wipe on the entire game system, then load back up files of levels and items. Unfortunately, character data was lost, so anyone who played the original version is gone and would have to start over in this version.", Bakura explained.

"Ok then. Let's find this dungeon. I still remember how to play from the original version. I used to watch my older brother Hiroshi play, but he's away at college now.", Aysel said as they started walking along a path towards the dungeon.

(I am using the same names for levels from previous .hack games)
(3rd person for Aysel. 1st person for the real person)

Thanks. I had not seen any in a while, so I decided to make one.

Most of my ideas are coming from those .hack games for the PS2, others from GU.

New chapter up after a few more replys or when I have it ready.

Chapter 2

They soon reached the dungeon area. Aysel looked around cautiously as they walked through the rooms, expecting any demons to jump out at her. Bakura was walking calmly, unintimidated by the idea of demons surprising them. He was at level 10, so level 1 demons didn't faze him.

As they passed through a room, a couple of goblins emerged from the shadows. Bakura pulled out his blade. "Aysel, use your attack magic, got it?", he asked.

Aysel nodded, even though she had not completely mastered the magic. So as the goblins neared, Bakura shouted, "Now!"

Aysel did a hand sign in front of her rod, planted firmly in the ground. "Fire Tempest.", she muttered. A tornado of fire surrounded the goblins. But since Aysel had done a shaky hand sign, the tornado had also eclipsed Bakura. The goblins died in a blaze of fire, but Bakura emerged, coughing smoke.

"Sorry Bakura...", Aysel muttered. Bakura took a drink from a potion. "No no, it was a good shot. Next time, make sure you don't hurt your companions."

"Sorry.", she muttered again. Bakura smiled as they continued along a path, up to where an intersection was. "Now, which way should we go....", Bakura said to himself.

Suddenly, there was a feeling of rushing air. Aysel put a handup to cover her eyes from the blast of wind hitting her eyes. Aysel opened her fingers a bit to peek through as she saw two people run by.

One was a boy wearing a red outfit and carrying twin blades. He had a shiney bracelet on his wrist. The other person was a girl with short pink hair and bright red eyes and carrying a huge blade.

The two ran past them into a room on the right. The rush of air immediately stopped. Aysel blinked rapidly. "Who were they?", she asked.

Bakura however suddenly started running after them, leaving Aysel feeling dazed and confused. "Wait Bakura, where are you going?", she asked.

"I have to see if its really them.", Bakura said as he ran into the room they went into. Aysel quickly followed after, to discover Baura in an empty room.

"I was sure they came this way.", Bakura muttered.

"Who came this way? Who were they?", Aysel asked.

"Do you remember the character names of the two people who exposed the coma scandel and defeated the virus wave?", Bakura asked her.

"Uhh...I think they were called Kite and Blackrose.", Aysel said, struggling to remember.

"Correct. But when they reprogrammed the game, the company would of deleted their character data.", Bakura said. "How could they be here...."

"Maybe they heard of the new version and decided to give it a try. Made their characters the way they wanted before. Either that orits some posers who are pretendingto be the real thing.", Aysel suggested.

"Maybe...wait...Aysel...did you see that Kite...wearing a bracelet?", Bakura asked as he put a hand on her shoulder.

"Yeah..what, didn't you see it?", Aysel asked.

"That must of been that bracelet that can do Data Drain. That can't be right. That definately can't be right. It's either hackers or...", Bakura started to say, but then trailed off.

"Or what?", Aysel asked, dreading the answer.

"Another virus."

Wow, it's really good. I tried to do a .hack// fanfic myself, but I found it too hard...

It's great. Reminds me a lot of .hack//AI Buster, because of the similar style.

Wow, dudette. I like this. I don't really see many .Hack fics outside of ff.net, so this is a real treat. And I really like your style of writing now. Very much improvement. Detail, grammar, spelling, all gone through the roof. Looks like you've hooked another fan, dude. Way to go.

Eh, still confused if its The World R:2 that Every Heart is using. It seems like it because Tri-edge is kite. This is a great fan-fic and I cannot wait till the next chapter. Seriously, does this reside in .hack//GU?
