Harry Potter and the Transfer Students

(Yeah I know, lame title. Not exactly like the Harry Potter/Yugioh fanfic though, I plan on adding a hell of a lot of characters. Yugi and Bakura are in it though.)

Chapter 1

Dumbledore runned the temples of his forhead. He was staring down at the files about the new transfer students that would be coming to Hogwarts for that year. They were strange, late starters that no other school would accept. He felt that they deserved a chance to learn here.

His other reasoning for this was so that he could keep a better eye on them. These students had magical talents far different from normal wizards. And he was sure that if Voldemort knew about them, he would try to get his hands on them. And Dumbledore couldn't let that happen.....

Meanwhile, Voldemort was also pouring over papers.

"Millenium Items, Sacred Jewel Shards, and Alchemy....what kind of blasphemy have you handed me?", he yelled at Wormtail.

"I've done reasearch on powerful magic and mystical items and I came across those.", Wormtail stuttered. "If we found out more about this, you may be able to gain more power."

"Hmm...I see....very well, we'll see what more we find out.....and let events play out for now...."

"Your WHAT???", said an angry loud voice. Kagome Higurashi backed away from the now angry Inuyasha. He seemed to overstand her. Kagome was starting to wish that she hadn't said anything.

"I have to go somewhere for a while. I got this letter inviting me to a school in England. I don't think I really have a choice in the matter.", Kagome told him.

"You can't go! We need you to help us find the Sacred Jewel shards. You are not going to this school.", Inuyasha scowled.

"Look, the guy who sent the letter says that he'll meet with me a week before I go. I'll talk to him and maybe I'll see if going is really an option. I probably won't even go to this school anyway."

Inuyasha turned away from her. "But what if you do accept? How the hell am I suppossed to track you down in some place called Eggland?"

"It's England, and I think I can take care of myself. I think that you all can handle it without me. Or maybe I can find some way to be able to travel to here from the school."

Inuyasha turned back to face her. "Is going to this place really important to you?"

"A little. It sounds like a really fancy school.", Kagome said meekly. Inuyasha said nothing for a moment, but then....

"Fine. You go to meet this man, and see what he has to say. If theres no way, then you are not going.", Inuyasha said quietly.

Kagome nodded as they continued walking down a dirt path towards the Bone Eaters Well. She had the letter in her pocket. She had failed to mention the part about how it was a wizardry school. She wasn't sure if that was true or not though. Maybe the letter was just bluffing. Still...from all the weird stuff she went through, she wouldn't be surprised if it was true.....

"But Brother, why can't I come?", said a pleading voice. Edward Elric shook his head.

"I'm sorry Al, but it seems this letter was intended for only me to go. But don't worry, I'll talk to this guy and explain to him that I'm not going unless you can come to. I find it hard to believe that theres a school on magic. It's probably just alchemy."

"But it would be interesting to see what kind of magic or alchemy they would be teaching there.", Al said quietly. Ed turned to face him. "You have a point, I just hope he doesn't say anything about my metal limbs.", he joked as he flexed his automail.

"But how do we get there? It says for a place called England.", Al said pointing at the letter.

"This message is from the otherside of the gate. We found out how to travel through both worlds through that secret gate we found. We can just go through there again and head for England from Germany.", Ed said confidently. "Maybe, there really is a way to use Alchemy on the otherside....."

"Your joking right? I forbid it. Your not going to this blasted school. Especially if Yugi is going to be there.", Yami Bakura said stubbornly to his host.

"Come on, I want to find out if there really is a magical school. Maybe we can learn more about the Millenium Items.", Ryou pleaded. "And Yugi isn't bad, at least we would know someone there."

Yami Bakura turned away. But after a moment....."Are you sure you want to be going to this place?"

"Yeah. I want to try to fit in with other people. And who knows? If it really is a school of magic, maybe you'll learn something.", Ryou suggested.

"That would be good if I learned something valuable to us. Ok, we'll meet this guy. Although I do promise not to interfere with your school work. Of course unless your in harms way. I can't promise anything then."

"Ok, we'll meet this guy tommorow. We'll see more about this school.", Ryou said happily.

"Spare me the happiness, I'm not in the least bit happy about this. We could be walking into a trap for all we know.", Yami Bakura said, turning his back on Ryou.

(Ok, end of chapter one. To explain the Edward Elric thing, I changed it so that on the otherside of the gate, it's our time period. The reason I added Yugi and Ryou is for something else that will happen in the fic.)
