Rep Power: 0 ![]() | well, the first thread didn't go the way i wanted, so heres the story- -thanks TavishMithos for the help! -comments please -not a kingdom hearts fanfic -hope you enjoy the story ----------------------------------------------------- Prologue: It's been ten years... Ten years since Ashen has become the world superpower. Dwarfing the other nations, in technology and power.... Before, there were wars between the five nations, Ashen, Cyole, Viskus, The Akaizen Republic, and Levencia. With their own brand of warfare, propaganda, and terrorism, each nation held it's own. No one gaining advantage over another. The day came however, when Ashen threatened to launch bombardments of nuclear warheads at each nation's capitol. Fearing a nuclear war, each nation surrendered, and was ordered to decommission their armies. The wars have finally ended... Ashen, a kingdom once filled with uncertainty and doubt, has now become a utopia. Thanks to psionic artifacts, objects that harness one's power, and Ashen technology, The nation became as beautiful, as it was high-tech. Through Ashen in fact, psionic powers were discovered, harnessed, and mastered. Over time, Ashen decommissioned their own army, favoring special forces and democracy to stop uprisings in the nations. Seeing as they had no armies, the nations put up little resistance. Psionic powers, powers that harness the will and mind of one's body and project it in a spiritual or physical form, brought many new ideas to Ashen. Just discovered five years ago by a scientist name Alan Riezen, was a huge discovery, a discovery that would cement Ashen into history. Everyone had psionic powers, he surmised, knowing technology was not yet advanced enough to tap into their power. Working with Ashen's government, they were able to construct a "Living" chip. It was designed to control emotion and thought, focusing them into different forms of psionic power. These chips were placed into many different objects, soon to be known as psionic artifacts. These "artifacts" became house-hold items, simplifying the lives of many. Although everyone had psionic powers, not all could bring out their true potential. Most can only levitate a glass of water, or create a small eclipse to escape the sun. For those who are gifted, they are given the name "Psion", and sent to universities abroad to master their skills. Hoping one day, they will come back and bring new ideas to the world. In an effort to unify the nations, Ashen passed their technology to the other nations. It seemed everyone was content, acknowledging the age of peace that was upon them. Even though they were in an age of peace, trouble stirred in every nation. Ashen's special forces capture most of the criminals, but there are those who can elude God himself. They have mastered their skills, some through stealth, others through homicide. Never caught, they have lost all morality, acting only on their will to survive. It was destiny that they would meet. Even though the nations secretly hated Ashen, they could never stand up to it's power. Around this time, a group known simply as "God's eyes" arouse, and committed unspeakable crimes. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Far from all the turmoil, a blonde haired man, he could have been mistaken for a model, awaited a phone call to change history... "Hello..." "I understand.." "We can use any means necessary...?" a smile crossed his face. "We'll bring Ashen to its knees, don't worry..." With that, the man hung up the phone, zipped his suit, and walked towards the door. As he opened it, an unnatural darkness came over the room. His eyes flashing a faint green, he walked out with his coat flowing behind him. The Age of Peace is over, the Reign of Chaos is about to begin... -------------- Ch.1- consequences ----------------------------- The last day, it was peaceful in Ashen. The bustling cars zoomed past pedestrians going to work, while the children played in the many parks and plazas, not having a care in the world. Everyone worked diligently to ensure Ashen stayed this way for almost a decade… It all started in Hazengardt, a bustling town of people just starting their lives…. “Hey, Devin! Come on! We’re goin’ to be late!” a young girl, in her teenage years, said to a boy sitting on a blue-striped pedestal. The boy, 17 by the looks of it, had dark red hair, which clung to his face no matter what he did. The effect was it made him look like he just got out of bed, but he made it work for him. Today, he wore a red t-shirt, with a dark-blue, sleeveless jacket over it, a silver necklace hung on his chest. It had the design of a griffon, standing at the ready. His pants were black with silver, nothing to fancy. At his side he had a olive colored book bag, which was usually empty. At the girls words, he snapped out of his trance, and squinting at her a bit, getting used to the light. In the blinding light, she looked at him smiling, as the wind blew her brown hair to the side, some getting on her face. She wore a black blouse, with a small wing on each of the sleeves. This went well with her bright red belt, tilted slightly, so it went over her skirt. Her skirt was a mini blue-and-red plaid skirt. On her shoulder was a dark-blue purse, her favorite, given to her by her mom. “ Why can’t we? School’s boring Kira, why rush to it?” Devin asked her, still getting used to the light, but standing up nonetheless. “It’s a special day today, it’s valentines day! I’ve got to pass out all my hearts! I have a special surprise for you too, Devin.” she smiled at him, as they walked the block to their school, which was empty, and passing the Alan Riezen memorial statue. Devin always turned his face whenever he saw it, Kira knew why. As they were about to pass the statue, a man with dark-red hair in a black overcoat bumped into Kira. “Hey! Watch it! There’s plenty of space on the sidewalk, walk there!” she said with an attitude. “Well I was about to say sorry, but I don‘t think you deserve it.” The man said as he put something in his black overcoat, pushing his way through them. “Do it.” “What?” Devin turned turning to see the man, but didn’t find him. “Man, there’s some real jerks in this city.” he said as they turned a corner, and saw their school in the distance. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “Are we all set? This our first move, we have to make it perfect.” a blonde-haired man asked through his headset, standing atop a skyscraper, Icon Tower, as they called it. “Hey don’t worry, just have fun.” a voice told him through his ear-piece. As he stared, he saw 2 people walking by their target, they seemed to be a boy and girl. “Nice, I was hoping we’d get a body count.” as he thought this, a man bumped into them, aggravating them. As he pushed passed them, he turned a corner into an alley, and vanished from sight. “Do it.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “Man if it wasn’t for you Kira, I don’t think I’d actually go to school.” Devin said as they stared at the school. “I’ll tell her today… it’ll be perfect.” Devin thought as he looked at her. She looked back and smiled, and not knowing it, he smiled back. “Yea, it’ll be perfect….” Suddenly, the statue behind them exploded, sending flying metal everywhere, catching some people in the head, legs, and chest. As the screams rang out, and the blood flowed, Devin turned to see a building start to collapse on them. “Kira!” Devin shouted as he pushed her out of the way of the falling debri. “Thanks… Devin” “You crazy, we have to get out of here! Everything’s collapsin---” before he could finish however, the building they were under exploded, causing more debri, and pushing them to the side. As they landed on the ground, they could heard the muffled screams of the people trapped under fallen debri, while others only had pools of blood. Turning away from this sight, they both got up, shaking, with scratches and cuts on them, but nothing to serious. They knew they had to get out of there, looking around Kira saw an back alley, undamaged from the “accident”, as later it would be called. “Come on! This way!” this time she led him to the alley, braving the darkness, she plunged into it followed closely by Devin. “What happened there!” Devin said as he leaned on a wall, thinking of anything that could answer this question. A power leak, a sudden electrical current. Then he remembered what that man said to them. “He didn’t say it to us… he was giving an order.” he whispered to himself. “What?” Kira asked getting closer to him. “That man, the one who bumped into us, he did this. Remember what he said, he gave an order.” he told her, an expression of utmost horror coming over her. “So, the rumors were true then… God’s Eyes is real…” she said to him, holding his arm. “We have to tell someone, anybody..” “I Wish my dad was here.” They could here screams coming from the entrance of the alleyway, of men, women, and children, it was total chaos out there. Exhausted, they both fell asleep, as fumes enveloped them. As they slept, the screams of the people died down, until it was dead silent. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On the street, a girl stared at into the eyes of a red-haired man, begging for her life. “Oh god please! Don’t do this!” she begged grabbing his overcoat. Raising his hand, he brought his katar down on her head, piercing it instantly. As he pulled it out, the body fell limply to the ground, red steam fuming out of the wound. As he cleaned his weapon, a blonde-haired man approached him. “Is that all of them?” “I haven’t checked everywhere. Help me if you want this done so badly..” “Fine, and try and do something special with these.” the blonde-haired man said, pointing at the bodies scattered along the street. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “ Wake up. Someone’s coming” Waking from his dream, Devin slowly realized where he was. Looking around, he saw Kira wasn’t with him. He looked back and forth in the alley, but saw no trace of her. “Kira? KIRA!” he shouted as he stood up, running down the alley, to the entrance. As he reached the entrance, he could hear a girl’s muffled cries. As he burst through the entrance, what he saw, scarred him. Bodies, limbs, blood everywhere, not a single spot on the ruined street could he see that didn’t have a certain amount of red on it. Turning to his side, he saw Kira, gagged, and tied up, unable to move. Standing beside her was The same red-haired man from before. “Who the hell are you!” Devin shouted at the man, his fists clenched. The man merely stared at him, and pulled out one of his katars, and held it to Kira’s neck. “Move, and she dies…” “Damn you!” he shouted at him, trying to think of how he could save her. “Today was supposed to be perfect! It was perfect! But you had to ruin everything!” and without knowing it he rushed at the man. Without realizing it, his jacket glowed a faint green, allowing him to move much faster than the man anticipated. Before he could block, the man was thrown off his feet from a round-house kick to the head. “He’s…a Psion?!” the man thought as he caught his balance and landed on his feet, rushing at him with both his katars. Devin ducked the blades but was to slow, they cut into his arm, sending devastating pain through his body. “Hurts doesn’t it? They didn’t teach you this at that school of yours.” he said pulling his weapons out, and kicking him in the chest. The magnitude of the blow made him lose his balance, sending him to the ground, as he laid there, his vision became disoriented. He heard a sound, a man walking towards him, he could feel the suspense filling inside him as he wondered what he would do. “Damn him… Kira…” Devin whispered. Suddenly he felt tremendous pain on his shoulder, and heard a bone crack. Turning his head, he saw that the katar pierced his collarbone, pinning him to the ground. The man, staring at him, smiled as he heard his whispers, and knelt his head to his ear. “That girl over there, Kira you called her, she’s going to die a very violent death, and it’ll be because you didn’t save her…” The man then turned his face, so he could look into the eyes of his victim, eyes filled with fear. “Just wanted to tell you, seeing as you’ll be dead.” with that, the man got up, cleaned his overcoat of blood, and walked towards the girl, who was crying, seeing what happened to Devin. “I promised myself, I would tell her I love her today. I’m going to keep that promise!” As Devin thought that, his jacket once again glowed a faint green. Finding his strength, he pulled the katar out of his shoulder, which stained from his own wounds, and ran at the man, who did not realize what had happened. The man turned at the sound, but before he could do anything, Devin was on him, bringing the katar down on his head. “Bang!” A blue shot rang out, as Devin brought the weapon down. As he brought it down however, he saw that his hand was blown clean off, weapon and all blasted away. Turning he saw another man, blonde-haired, holding the gun to his chest. Another shot… Devin was on his knees, clutching his chest, blood flowing from his three wounds, all fatal. At his side, Kira was screaming seeing her long-time friend dying in front of her eyes. As Devin fell to the ground, the blonde-haired man walked towards them, his gun at the ready. “Damien, you were careless, if I didn’t come…” he turned to the man on the ground, and back at the red-haired man. “I knew you were there Hiroki, that’s why I didn’t do anything…” Damien said, turning away. “And that’s why you almost pissed your pants?” Hiroki laughed at the thought of it. Turning to his victim, he saw that he was still alive. Hiroki bent down, and stared into his face. “Hey, names Hiroki, sorry for what happened, just not your day I guess.” he said with a smirk The man, clutching his stump for an arm, didn‘t say anything… “Hey don’t act like that, you should be proud, you’re my first kill! What’s your name?” he asked the kid. “I hate you! why should I tell you.” Devin finally said, looking into Hiroki’s eyes the first time. “Because if you don’t, I’ll cut her limbs off..” picking up the fallen katar, and pointing at Kira. “Kira.. I’m sorry…. I couldn’t protect you…” Devin shouted to her. Kira squealed a bit, but the gag on her prevented her from speaking. “Kira, I wanted to say something to you today… I love you……” “Awww, isn’t that cute? But you still haven’t answered my question, so there goes her foot.” with that, he plunged the katar into her leg, prying it apart from her body. The air was suddenly filled with screams emanating from the girl. “What’s your name..” Hiroki asked again, a cynical look on his face. “….Devin…Devin Riezen..” “Riezen! This has got to be destiny or something.” Hiroki thought to himself, pulling out the weapon, as the girl took deep breaths. “Well, isn’t that surprising, I wouldn’t want to keep you from him…..”with that, he brought the katar down on him, piercing his temple, blood instantly flowing from the wound. Muffled screams came from the girl, who was writhing and twisting so much that the ropes began to break. Pulling the weapon out and cleaning it on his jacket, he handed it to Damien, who was watching the girl. As he stared at his first victim, he saw a glint come from his neck, kneeling down, he saw that it was a griffon-shaped necklace, probably given by his mother. “A perfect present for my first kill.” he thought as he his hands covered the necklace, ripping it from Devin’s neck. As he stared closely at it, he saw that it had the initials, K. B. on it. “Whoever this is, I’ll definitely need to give my thanks for the gift.” “Now I have two….” whispering quietly to himself, composing himself “What do we do with her…?” “Give her to Kat….she’ll have her fun with her…” Damien picked up the girl, placed her on his shoulder, and walked through the back alley and out of sight, followed quietly by Hiroki. -------------------------- will add as much as I can. comments please ![]() |
