Rep Power: 4 ![]() | After working Hard and finding tough firm evidence, I have found a hidden chapter to KH1. It turns out that…..*gulp…..Kari’s father is..Ansem. Read if you don’t believe me. It’s true. LOL! Ansem: *now dead thanks to sora. Kari: Stupid MF Sora! You killed my father! Chapter 16- Unforgettable Devotion Ansem sat with his back to the doorway, giving his daughter a perfect time to sneak in. Kairi's knees were weak, and the coldness of the room sent a clatter of chills down her spine. Gaining her courage, she was ready to speak. "Excuse me..." she said weakly. Ansem turned around, bandages wrapped around his scarred face. "It's you... what are you doing here! Making your death wish come true?" he asked. Kairi stepped away, with her hands behind her back. "No... I just wanted to talk with you. My journeys have all come to an end. I was searching for something lost, something that I wasn't sure of. And now I know what it is." She said quietly. "I see... and what would that be?" he asked impatiently. "A parent. Someone to be there for me, when I'm scared or alone. Someone to guide me through life. As you know, my mom is dead. Now all I have left is you." Kairi explained. Ansem had a confused, awkward look on his face. "I think you've come to the wrong place. I'm in no position to play house with a girl who in my eyes deserves to be dead. I'm feeling happy at the moment, I have gotten word of your precious islands being destroyed. And, on the next full moon, I am to be married to the goddess Circe. So I am willing to let you get out of my world here, and forget any of this was said." Ansem said. "I remembered something though. Something you told me when I was young. It was so strange... having a memory stored away for all of those years and now it is just revealing itself all of the sudden. But it was what made me realize I need more than my friends. I need you, evil or good. I just need a father." She said. "Then go find your father." He said. "But it's you! Don't you remember? I am your youngest daughter, and you had Paine and my mother Saria! Have you really forgotten everything?" she asked. Feeling rather angry, Ansem decided to answer harshly. "I admit there are things I may have forgotten when I joined the darkness. But I assure you, if you were my daughter in my earlier life, I am quite happy to be rid of you! Leave my site or else I will have you taken to the dungeon." Ansem said. Kairi shook her head, pleading with him. "I would give my heart and soul for you to remember everything. To remember why you killed my mom. To remember why I was your experiment! I want to make a deal with you. No matter what happens after the End, keep me along your side. Be a father to me. I don't care if I have to be evil too, I don't care if I ever see Sora or Riku ever again!" Kairi lied. Ansem sighed. "Sora, the keyblade master who chickened out and turned his back on me. Fate has led you here, of all places. Why?" he asked. "Because of that memory..." Kairi sat on the floor, tinkering with a small puzzle. Ansem walked into the room, and Saria gently greeted him. "I need Kairi to come with me to the cliff. I have something to give her." He said. Saria happily nodded, and picked Kairi up off the floor. Ansem gladly took her into his arms, and carried her out of the castle. The breeze outside was quite pleasant, and Kairi smiled brightly and held her hands out to the sun which was stretching beautifully upon the ocean. Ansem smiled. "Curious about the unknown. Like father like daughter I suppose." He said. He put her down on the cliff and let her gaze out over the water, being careful not to let her fall. "Pretty." She said. Ansem nodded. "Indeed. I'm afraid though, if the heartless overcome this kingdom like I predict, you will have to set sail alone on that ocean Kairi. You'll meet that boy... the boy who has something to do with that mysterious door. I haven't fully researched it, but so far it seems astounding to me. With a little more work, and maybe a bit of..." "Shhhh..." Kairi whispered, interrupting him. She listened carefully to the sounds of the ocean as it almost lulled her to sleep. "Pretty... but scary. Protect me daddy... right?" she asked. Ansem simply smiled, realizing he was droning on about his research to an innocent little girl. "I'll always be here Kairi... just remember that. No matter what happens, I'll be here. Just reach for me." Kairi looked up at her father with tearstained eyes. "Don't you remember that? It has to be the piece of the puzzle that's missing. I'm reaching for you father... now all you have to do is accept me." Kairi whispered. Ansem fell to the floor, the light rushing throughout his body. Though he would always be in darkness, he found there was enough left in him to love someone, and that someone would be his youngest daughter. "It really happened didn't it? The heartless really did take over. But I won't fight it. Darkness and I are one, we will never separate. But if you'd like, you can join me, and together we can fight against the good. It's how it should be, a father and his child." Ansem said. At this point, Kairi had lost all hope in everything she wished for. She knew that going back to Destiny would never be imaginable, she vowed to never return there when she set out on her journey. Besides, after seeing how much the worlds had to offer, she would feel deprived if she stayed on that tiny island. She had lost faith in seeing Sora and Riku again, and nothing made sense to her anymore. For the very first time, she would have a chance to have a father in her life, someone she could love and trust, someone to take care of her forever. Even if it meant being in darkness for eternity. So Kairi had made her decision, and she knew that Sora would understand. Because no matter what would happen, their love would never fade, and she would remember him for the many eternities to come. "I will join you." She whispered. Ansem grabbed her hand, and Kairi felt her entire life slip through her fingers, every single memory vanishing from her mind. She remembered who she was, and who Ansem was. She even managed to keep a fuzzy image of a brown haired, blue-eyed boy in her mentality. Though she didn't know his name, she felt an everlasting bond there that she knew would never leave her heart. And in the distance, she saw him smile, as if he knew everything would be okay. So for the time being, Kairi decided to trust in that boy's smile, hoping it would cradle her forever. Reina held Axel's hand as he led her to his fortress. At the door, he saw a girl who he had long since forgotten about, and he was now wary of entering his temple. There stood Laksinu, with the meanest 'go to hell' look Axel had ever seen. Reina was not scared of this blonde haired girl with the fiery look in her eye. She walked with pride up to the door, and stood face to face with the heartless' leader. "Who do you think you are?" Laksinu hissed. "I am Reina. And I warn you, don't cause any problems for me or my Axel." She replied. "Or what? You'll go cry and scribble a mean picture of me in your sketchbook?" Laksinu laughed. Axel could see the look Reina was trying to hide, and he knew exactly what was about to happen. But he knew he couldn't stop it. Reina gripped Laksinu's neck tightly, burning an imprint of her hand into Laksinu's porcelain skin. Laksinu felt tears stinging her eyes, something she had never been familiar with, as she hid away from Reina's power. "You will leave us alone. Anything you had with him, is no longer there. Realize it, or die." She said fiercely. Laksinu shook her head in agreement, and Reina released her. Laksinu fell to the ground, gasping for air. And suddenly, it all made sense. He knew why Axel didn't kill Reina. "She's the Queen, isn't she..." Laksinu whispered. Axel simply nodded, and proceeded into the temple. Reina looked around the grand hall, admiring the many paintings the cluttered the walls. "Do you think perhaps... I could paint something to hang here?" she asked. Axel shrugged. "Do as you wish. This is your palace now. Laksinu and I are merely boarders here." He replied. "I want that little blonde freeloader out of here immediately. I don't care what it takes. She doesn't belong here." Reina said. "She is the heartless troop leader. You can't just kick her out, do you have any idea what Ansem would do? Don't you know he could kill you?" Axel asked. Reina paused, and without and hesitant thought in her mind, she simply replied, "Try me." Riku, Sora, and the gang had managed to make it to the Olympus Coliseum. They had spread word to all of the worlds, trying to gather an army to fight against Reina and her power. An enormous crowd had turned out. From what Sora could already see, Tarzan, Jack Skellington, Hercules, Meg, Pegasus, Phil, Beast, Aladdin, Genie, Aboo, Eeago, Mulan and her gang, including the strong, brave Shang Li, Simba all grown up with his mate Nala, and their daughter Kiara and her mate Kovu, along with Timon and Pumbba had all arrived. Maybe there was more, who knew, but from what was there, Sora knew there was a definite chance of defeating Reina. Hercules was telling Riku how his father Zeus was trying to round up some gods to help him, Apollo for one, and perhaps Athena if she was willing. Athena was Hercules' sister, but she wasn't too fond of him. Sora looked over at Riku and grinned. "I think we have this under control." He laughed. Riku shrugged. "It's just so hard to believe. The Destiny Islands... gone. Strange, the things you embrace and cling to most seem to disappear the quickest." He said. Sora sighed. Once again, he found himself thinking about Kairi. Surely she would be okay without him, she had proven herself worthy of defense many times before. Somehow, deep down, he could feel the grasp that Kairi had on his heart loosen its grip. He knew that she was forgetting their endless love. Though endless it was, unforgettable perhaps, Kairi wasn't a slave to it any longer. Happy but at the same time sad, Sora was glad in a way that Kairi had found enough independence to stand alone. So maybe in the end, things wouldn't be as sad when he would say his goodbyes to close the doors for good. And hopefully Riku would lead Kairi to some distant island, and they could build something that resembled Destiny. Something that resembled their everlasting friendship, and unforgettable childhood memories. That's what Sora hoped for most, a safe haven something to the likes of Destiny, where Kairi could remain protected. Many things would be irreplaceable, such as the innocent islanders whose lives were taken, or the scribblings and drawings in the Secret Place, or any other special trait of the islands that meant something special. Sora knew Riku would take care of Kairi, forever and always, just like he had always planned. And for once, Sora was willing to let go of Kairi, and let her be what she wanted, even if what she wanted was to be with Riku. Riku looked over at Sora. "Let's do this. Cap'n and Tike, together again. We're still a team, right?" Riku asked. "Always have been." He replied. That simple reply that escaped Sora's lips may have been comforting at the time, but just because they always were a team, didn't mean they always would be. |
