Rep Power: 13 ![]() ![]() Level: 21 EXP: | Yes..I can write. Now don't ignore this because of the short prologue ok?It shall get longer when I get down to the chapters. So enjoy! PROLOUGE Drip…Drop….Drip….Drop. The rain quietly fell on an empty patch of field. It almost seemed the rain mocked that area. A destroyed building, or what was left of it, rested on the field. By the darkness, it would be hard to see the bodies scattered around. Men and women in white coats, which were now red, lay all over the remains. Scientists maybe..or researchers. Most of them were drenched in their own work. What were they working on…Why are they all dead is the question that comes to anyone’s mind. Almost out of nowhere, a figure was walking into the destroyed building. It didn’t seem to mind the dead humans. It walked to a particular human, which head was severed from its body. It slowly picked up the human’s head. A single drop of water fell on the head..A rain…A tear? It didn’t matter because the figure dropped the head and stormed out of the remains. The figure suddenly stopped. It came to a cliff overlooking a small town. The figure quietly growled as if it was the town’s fault for the death of the humans. Suddenly, it let out a loud roar that echoed across the field.”…I shall find you…traitor…”This is the year 3018 of the planet Arien. This is the town of Balien. This lone figure is Craid. This is his story. |

Rep Power: 13 ![]() ![]() Level: 21 EXP: | Just so you won't kill me..here is Chapter 1. I'll update as soon as I can CHAPTER 1 Dawn approached the town called Balien. The sun slowly rose from the sea. It was a quiet sunrise…but maybe not so quiet. In the fields far away from the town, a creature stirred. It was resting in a tree, its pale and cracked warrior like armor glistened in the sun. The grey warrior pants it wore was covered in leaves. The creature’s black and spiky hair twitched in the wind. At first glance, anyone would think this was a human. But it was much more. Sure it had the figure of a human but there were other “areas”. It bore white curved horns on the top of its head. Its hands had clawed nails. The feet were the same way. It wore no gloves or shoes to cover these weapons. Most odd thing about this creature was its tail. It was no demon tail at all. It was made of metal, probably the strongest metal around. Around the creature’s head was a metal headband, bearing strange symbols from times forgotten. The creature stirred once more. This time, it opened its eyes, revealing demon like pupils of emerald green. ”Dawn is here…It is light enough to keep going.” The creature slowly rose from the tree and dropped out of it. It edged slowly toward the town of Balien. The sun light showed that this creature was a boy of 18 or so. ”I wonder if the villagers here heard the explosion. Better not chance them fearing me. I’ll visit Nagina. She always welcomed me to her home.” It was true he was a fearful sight. For he was one third demon, one third human, and one third machine. He was a Cyber Regenerating Artificial Intelligence Demon, nicknamed Craid. He was truly one of a kind. Craid crept upon the town, hiding in any shadows that came his way. Lucky for him it was too early for the villagers to be fully awake. He finally found the house he was looking for. It looked similar to the other houses. It was one story high, had a green roof, but the only strange thing at the front of the house there were tons of smaller houses. Craid knew these houses belonged to her creations. Nagina was a creator, but not a very good one. She could only build small animal like or car robots. They acted like a guarding system. They were strange because the town never had such technology. Only humans and a few demons lived in the town. Craid, knowing the guard system, knocked on the back door. A child’s voice answered. ”Yaawn..Whos iz it..” ”Its me Yame. I need to speak to your mother” The door opened and a child poke his head out. The boy was only about 6 or 7. He had straight brown hair and blue eyes. ”Oh. Hi Craid! I’ll get momma…MOMMA!CRAID IS HERE!” A woman’s voice yelled back. But as soon as she did there was a loud popping sound. After a few minutes a purple headed woman come to the door. ”Morning Craid..Why are you here so early? I thought your creators only took you to the town for learning once a month. You shouldn’t be here till…” ”That is the problem Nagina. Did you hear an explosion last night?” ”Why yes. I thought someone at the lab had an accident..is everything ..” She didn’t need to say more. The look on Craid’s face told her already. ”..I see..Craid..Come on inside and have some tea. Tell me everything..” After the tea was poured, Craid took a few sips and told her what was left of the lab and how he found it. ”How awful. That has to be some accident to make an explosion so big.” ”It was no accident!” Craid slammed his cup to the table. This was a big insult to his creators. He treasured him since they were his only family..besides Nagina and her son Yume. ”But..how can you tell..An explosion..everyone dead. I mean..it couldn’t have been murder or else we found have seen someone left the island..No boats were running at such a late hour.” ”It was murder. I smell it all over the bodies. Dead before the explosion. Besides, an explosion can’t cut off heads so smoothly..It was murder and I must find that murderer!” Craid growled and gripped the cup so hard it broked. Yume decided this was a good time to go and play outside with his mom’s guards. After Yume left Craid glared at Nagina and spoke very quietly. ”I need a boat. Any kind. Small..big..wood..metal..I know the killers left this island and I need to follow them..Please Nagina. Only you can help me.” Nagina fell silent. She started to shake her head as tears fell from her eyes. She cared for Craid very much. Like a brother. They met when Craid was entering the 5th year of his life. She was the only one who knew about Craid. Nagina knew if she found a boat, they probably would never meet again, but making Craid happy… ”I can’t make you a boat..but I can stow you away on one. There is a ship going out to Tarren in an hour. But you are on your own there. Like you, I have never left this island since my husband died. Try finding a navigator or a map. Be careful though. I hear something bad is happening on the continents..” ”Don’t worry about me Nagina. It will be a piece of cake compared to the lab’s tests. I must find the killers if I want revenge. You know me! I always have a grudge against someone. Besides..I am not done asking what I was made for. Whoever killed my creators did it on purpose. They might know..” Nagina smiled gently and laughed a little. Then she hugged Craid very tightly. Craid blushed a little but pat Nagina on the head. ”Come on you metal headed human demon. Lets get you on that ship” |

| :|Your Personal|: {Jesus} | This is pretty damn good. You did a great job on introducing us to the characters, smoothly slipping in the details as they applied, and using their conversation and lines to give reason to point out their personality traits. very expert ;) There were only a couple of spelling errors, but a few comma ones. But on average it was good, and of course you used good words. The story plot, as I see it so far, is VERY original, as well as enticing. I like C.R.A.I.D and what he is, it's cool. Although the doom and gloom murder revenge thing is old, this story had a certain flare to it that tips the genre. ME WANTS MORE :D 9/10 don't rush the second chapter TOO MUCH, could cramp your style.....BUT HURRY PWEASE |

Rep Power: 13 ![]() ![]() Level: 21 EXP: | Here is Chapter 2 for my fans=] CHAPTER 2 It has only been 20 minutes since the great ship Darek left the Barlien Harbor for Tarren. Nagina did stow away Craid…but not exactly the way he imagined it… ”If I make it out of this alive..I am gonna kill that woman…Too crowded..smells of fruit..Can’t break out or else I’ll draw attention to myself..Grrr” Yes..Craid was stuck in a fruit crate. But at least he was getting there. Above deck, everything was going fine…or so it seemed. It was a windy day but some of the crew members didn’t feel the same way. “Aye, I know something is a coming. The wind has never been this clean in many a years me mates.” Some of the crew laughed at the old man. Some of them just ignored his ramblings and continued to their duties. Two young members joked about him. “That old sea dog is losing his touch. Always saying something about foul weather, but is he ever right?” “Heh. He should just roll over and die or at least retire. He has gotten to old for this job. Though he is right about one thing. The wind…Too clean” Back below deck, Craid got “tired” of his arrangements. With all his strength, he bursted out of the crate. He looked around, eyeing every bit of the ship. “So this is what a ship looks like from the inside. Amazing. Combining wood and metal. It can float but yet move forward. Humans have done great stuff” He edged along the room he was in, sometimes peeking in all the other crates. He found other sorts of food and items. Suddenly, he heard footsteps and voices. “Are ya sure you heard a noise down here Zain? All is quiet down here..” “I am positive Burk. It sounded like a crate exploded. If the crates are damaged we get no pay checks this week! I gotta get too ya know?” ”Fine fine..We’ll check for a few minutes……Whooa! You were right.Crates opened everywhere. Hm…Which means someone was having fun with us” ~Dang it. Should have listened to Nagina. But how to get out of this mess~ Craid hanged from the ceiling, trying to stay put. Luck turned sour for Craid and his claws didn’t stay in for long. Down he fell upon the two humans. “Um..Sorry guys. I guess I kinda went berserk on your cargo” The two men, now finally getting a good look on Craid, stared at him. Probably in shock..fear..anger.. “What is it Burk?!” “I don’t know Zain. It’s a monster! Run for it Zain!!” Before Craid could say another word, the two men jumped up and ran away to the upper deck. “Right then. I should be getting off this ship anytime soon. You stupid creation! No wonder they joked about me being not seen or heard. Wait…What do I smell? Demon…Water type..Big and vicious. If my system is correct, this ship is in a water demon’s territory who is not happy. This ship wouldn’t survive that rage. I must help or I’ll never get to Tarren!” Craid tried to run back up deck…but the chaos already started. A gush of water sprayed right in front of him. Craid growled and jumped over the stream and smashed through the door. In a few words, it was like entering hell. Men were being thrown around like rag dolls. He didn’t even need to look hard to see the blood dripping from the walls. Craid finally saw his adversary. The demon resembled something like a squid and a lobster. It had green, slimy tentacles emitting from its body. It also had a hard looking green shell with spikes on it. In each of its tentacles there was a crew member, screaming in pain. “Yo sqiddy! How about you leave those humans alone and have a real snack. I promise I WILL go down with a fight!” The demon turned to Craid, its red eyes glared at him. Craid extended a claw and taunted it. The demon let out a horrible screech and dropped all the men. Two of its six tentacles came right for Craid, but he simply smiled. He dove between the two tentacles, narrowly missing them, and sank his claws into one of the tentacles. The demon roared in anger and tried to smash Craid with the other tentacle. Craid was too quick. He detached his claw and placed the wounded tentacle in the path of the attacking one. “Stop hitting yourself you stupid demon. I want a real fight out of you! Now I must punish you for being easy!” Craid grabbed a tentacle and sliced it off. Now the demon was blind with rage. It pulled all of its tentacles inside its body. Craid raised an eyebrow, wondering what was it doing. Then, instead of tentacles sprouting out, two huge claws busted out. “Well, that’s new. But do you really think those snappers can kill me? Try it…” The demon did. One of its claws came for Craid, but Craid didn’t move. He allowed it to grab him. The water demon started to crush Craid, but Craid laughed yet again. “Look here squid brain. You can’t crush me. I am part machine so your pitiful attempts are foolish. I am getting annoyed now so if you don’t mind at all, I shall kill you now” Craid threw his head back so far that his horns stabbed the demon and cracked its claw. The demon screamed in pain and dropped Craid, but he grabbed the claw and crashed onto the deck below. He slowly lifted the demon into the air and began to spin it around. He went faster and faster and faster…till… “Have a nice flight..” Craid let go of the demon, which soared out of sight. “Well that was fun. Though that stupid water demon killed all the humans aboard. I have no knowledge of ships or driving them. This is a problem.” Craid’s ear twitched at a small clanking sound. He turned around to see a pile of wood moving. Out of the wood came an old man. In an ironic twist of fate, it was the old man. Craid hesitated a moment, but then walked over to help the man. “Can you steer this ship?” The old man nodded. But he wasn’t looking directly at Craid. He was eyeing his robotic tail. Craid rolled his eyes and picked up the man. “Steer this ship to Tarren then human. Also, you shall never discuss that battle to anyone. If anyone asks about the dead ones, say it was poisoned food” The old man nodded slowly and headed for the control room. Craid, after finding a bucket of water, started to clean the blood of off his horns. “Nagina was right. Life off the island will be tough. That water demon was stronger then the demons that visit the town. If this is what happens out at sea, land battles could kill me. I must keep going though if I want to find the killers. Something tells me they won’t be pushovers. This shall not change my mission” It only took shortly an hour for the ship to land in Tarren. Craid slipped out by plunging in the sea with the anchor. He quickly swam back on land and took a moment to log his surroundings. “The Tarren Continent. Full of demons, humans, and machines. 75% of the land has been habituated but the rest is full of creatures beyond one’s imagination. Strange though, that my creators would have information if they never left the island. Another question is revealed but no answers have shown. Each step will help me find those answers and probably more. This journey will not be as easy as I thought. I doubt I will be as welcomed here as on the island. But as the saying goes…The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step..” With those words, Craid took a step onto the rocky platform of the harbor of Cedi. There, he will discover things he would never think existed. Hopefully, he will also find a navigator… |

| :|Your Personal|: {Jesus} | DAMN that was nice :D Althought I thought you could have had more detail on the demon's appearance, the figth scene was done without a hitch. It all flowed along so well, the suspense and dram kept you locked on as you read. I also like how you had the demon pull in its tentacles and stick out claws, nice effect. the thing that kept me hooked, and that will get other's to continue reading is how fluidly you flowed into the prospects of the future. You leave us hanging in suspense, and yet using questions to allow us to obsess over it, think about the answers. We'd want to read on just for the sole purpose of figuring out the answers. VERY good practice ;) Perfect 10 and now I want MORE :greedy: |

I give this a serious 10/10 and its really hard waiting to read more of it.. Keep up the good work sis. I may even help you convince mom to raise your allownace XD. |

Rep Power: 13 ![]() ![]() Level: 21 EXP: | This shall be a fav of anyone..Chapter 3 is up CHAPTER 3 Craid once again used the cover of night to travel through the town. He did not dare show himself to the townsfolk just yet. He knew he had to travel by day soon. All he needed was a disguise… “Aye, this town has nothing I need. It always seems that when I need something it is never there but when I don’t need it…There it is. I guess I shall use something else. Hello! What do we have here?” Craid stopped in front of a shop. In the display, there was a long black cloak. Just as big as he was. “Perfect. Now to gain this helpful little item. Hope the owners won’t mind” He raised a claw to the glass window and began to carve out a small opening. This made a horrible screeching noise, like nails on a chalkboard. Finally, he made a round circle, carefully placing the detached glass on the ground. As quick as he could move, he grabbed the cloak from the display and stepped back. “No alarms? Guess I was wrong about this town. Very carefree and safe. Not a bad place to start my little journey. But where can I find a navigator. That is the key to my success. Time to see the map” Craid closed his eyes and put two fingers to his temple. In his mind, a mental image of a map appeared. Then a scanner went slowly down the map until a red dot blinked on a small area of a map. Suddenly the map closed in on the area until its name showed. “Basile’s Tavern? Ah, of course. A bar is a good way to meet people as my creators said. This cloak will hide my horns and claws, but what to do with the tail?” A cranking sound filled the silent air. Craid’s tail was retracting back to its base. After a few seconds, his tail was gone. He placed the cloak over himself and headed in the direction toward the bar. His confidence built as he got closer to the bar. Finally he could see the bar’s sign, shining brightly above the door. Craid hesitated a bit, not having human contact with anyone but Nagina, then slowly entered the bar. It was much different then what Craid imagined it to be. It was almost completely dark if not for lights flashing on and off over a floor which people were dancing on. Craid moved toward an empty seat, which looked as old as time its self. As soon as he sat down, a man behind the counter zoomed right toward him. “What can I get ya newcomer?” “Um, whatever is normal around here I suppose” The bar man gave Craid a look of curiosity, but went away to make the drink. He was back as soon as he left. “A Rotz special. On the house since you look like a nice guy. Don’t get too many strangers wearing cloaks around here” Craid sniffed the concoction. He lifted his glass and took a great gulp. Before he even swallowed he spat it out. “Disgusting bile! How can you humans drink this?!” “I see you are a light-weight. I’ll get you some water. Hmph..” The bar man left, but Craid didn’t want to taste anything more. He went to turn but something was blocking him. A woman, around 20, was very close to him. She was very pretty but her breath smelled of file things. “You look like a tasty treat. How about a little play time” “I don’t have time for games. I must get going female. Now if you move I can actually get up” “Come on. Don’t you like pretty things? You can take a break while I..” “I said move it female before I loose my temper. I have an important mission to accomplish. I rather not commit murder tonight” The woman looked shocked at his remarks. She suddenly slapped Craid in the face and left to flirt with a drunken man. “Strange humans. I shouldn’t have come to this filthy place” “I know. Humans are weird creatures. Can’t party like a demon” Craid almost lost balance turning around. The voice came from a man who looked in his early twenties. He was wearing a green jacket but no shirt. His pants were tannish and he wore a necklace made of out what appeared to be demon fangs. Craid was mistaken, thinking he was a human. His blue wolf ears and tail told him he was a demon. “Names Surge. Wolf demon at your service. So what brings a babe- magnet like you to a dump like this?” “I am called Craid. I am looking for a navigator. I am “new” to Tarren.” “Nice to meet you Craid. I wish I could help ya but I am too busy with this town. Girls girls girls! Gotta meet everyone of them. And as long as their fathers don’t catch me, I am home free…Uh oh. Spoke too soon” A man carrying a small dagger walked right up to the two. He was clearly angery. “Finally found you ya rutty demon!” “Can we talk about this old man? You know about young lovers..Wild and crazy!” “You slept with my wife you filthy mutant!” “Ew. Thanks for ruining my day. Now I gotta wash it over and over and..” “You’ll pay for that you-“ The man was about to attack with his dagger, but Craid grabbed the man’s wrist. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you. There shall be no blood spilled tonight” “Fine! I’ll just have to kill you as well demon!” Craid twisted the man’s wrist in a complete circle. The man’s cries of pain made the three very well known in the bar. “I….am….not…a…demon” Perhaps out of anger Craid tore the man’s hand off. The man’s yells got louder as the blood from his stumped arm bleed like crazy onto the floor. The man must have been popular, since almost half the men in the bar attacked Craid. Craid was too much a match for him. Before Surge could comment, all the men in the bar were either dead, barley alive, or scared out of their wits. “Well, that is one way to clean a bar. I guess I owe you thanks. A bit harsh but I like your style..Hey! Where are you going?” Craid was already leaving the bar, passing a drunken man who was babbling on. “Heyz babeh......uze be l00kin kinda.......mmmmm.........goood.........tonites......howz abouts we go and......go to my place....and I'll break out teh wood finisher outa mine closet......babeh.....” ”Filthy drunk humans…” Craid continued to walk down the road until Surge, the wolf demon, caught up to him. “Stop walking so fast big guy! I told you I need to give you thanks” “It was nothing. You were in trouble for something that was a mistake” “Right. A ‘mistake’. But that was still awesome. Pretty strong for a…a..What are you exactly?” Craid looked at Surge for a few moments. Then he sighed and kept walking. “I am what is called a Cyber Regenerating Artifical Intelligence Demon. You know why I call myself Craid.” “A whose it a whatz now?” “Sigh. I am part demon, human, and machine” “Wicked. But you don’t look like a triple hybrid” Craid at once took off his cloak. His tail began to go back to its original form. “Spoke too soon again. Strange creature you are. Never say anything like it before” Craid looked at him, very surprised. “You do not fear me? Or my appearance?” “Oh come on. It takes more then a weirdo like you to scare me. I am a wolf demon. We do not get frighten!” Craid, looking very confused, fell silent again. He glanced at the demon’s side to see a sword sheath. He then figured out why he was wearing a necklace of fangs. They were the victims of the sword’s blade. “How about we make a deal Craid? I shall be your navigator for only one price” “And what price is that? I have no money on me..” “No no. I just want you to stick around with me. That face..that body. You are a genuine chick-magnet. I always needed a guy like you to gain girls. You turn down the prettiest girl and I’ll make them feel all better!” Craid looked at Surge. He didn’t know if to laugh or walk away. But Surge said he could navigate for him. Craid was getting desperate. “Fine. But only if you can help me find my creator’s killers. After that you can go on home” “Killers? What killers?” Craid then explained the story he told Nagina before. Surge fell silent for a moment but then took a deep breath. “Sad story. Nasty men. Which means fighting but every girl loves a hero! I am in!” “If you can handle yourself…Surge was it?” “Look at this necklace! If I can take down this many demons, some more wouldn’t matter” For the first time since he left the island, Craid laughed. He raised out a hand toward Surge. Surge grinned and shook it. “One question though Surge. Why do you like females so much?” “What can I say? I am a pimp” “What’s a ‘pimp’?” “Boy. I have a lot of explaining to do. Haven’t been outside your little island much have ya?” “Nope. But my creators must have if they programmed a map in me” “Well, we shall figure it out…Hold on. I think we got company first” Craid looked in the direction Surge was staring at. Indeed someone was coming. Though this person was as strange as Craid. It was a human who bore black armor. At its side was a sword that was probably half as long as Craid. The only thing that was human about it was the long mane of blond hair at the back of the man’s head. “A Black Knight. Great. Someone probably called one in.” “Mind filling me in?” “Later. This guy isn’t coming over to give us a ticket. Put those fighting skills to use Craid” Craid nodded and waited. The Black Knight stopped in front of the two. He must have been at least seven feet tall. When he spoke, it was gruff and low. “You two are under arrest for murder and disturbance. Surrender…and die!” Before Craid could react, the Knight unsheathed his sword and slashed at him. Surge was lucky enough to jump away but Craid wasn’t prepared. The force of the slash caused Craid to fly backwards. Surge fought back by unleashing his own blade, which was a magnificent saber. He fought like a pro against the Knight. The armor was too tough for his own blade. “Craid..A little help here!” Craid heard and obeyed. He sprang from the rubble and charged at the Knight. He spread out his fingers and attempted to stab the Knight. Obviously the Knight didn’t hear of his power. Craid’s nails went right through the Knight’s armor and clear through the body. The Knight made a sort of straggled groan. Craid nodded at Surge, who followed through by sticking his saber through the hole. He stuck out his tounge at the Knight before slicing directly upward. The Knight was cut cleanly in half and fell down in two directions. “Surge…What was that?” “Meet one of the minions of the Dark Kingdom. It is a group of evil men, demons, and robots who rule almost all of the continents. This is one of the Black Knights. Lets just say they can spawn and leave it at that” “I see. Nagina was right. Evil on the continents. Maybe they have something to do with my killers. The scent is faint but similar to what I smelled on my island.” “Lucky break for you. Though when his friends find him, we will be wanted men.” “I do not care. If they are helpers of the killers, I shall kill them one…by..one!” Craid stomped on the puddle of blood that came from the Knight. Surge nodded and humbly followed Craid. Craid finally found a navigator, but what help would he be? Craid has an entire kingdom to get past to find his answers. |

But you on the other hand have kept your audience. :D I liked the little bar scene, although you could have made it more fun. I think Surge is now my favorite character though :D he kicks ass. 9/10 |
