Chapter 2: Return of An Old Enemy
I went home and looked about me. My life is boring; I had ironing, washing, cleaning, shopping, sewing and other things to do. By the time this was done I’d have to go to my job and clean, wash, sew, iron and come home. Then I’d pick up Amy and hell would break loose.
Oh well, mom said that I am to look after Amy, and look after Amy I will!
I grabbed the ironing and started the house work. Then I went to work 3 hours later.
I walked in, dumping my papers by my desk I took of my cardigan and sat down. “MCCLAREN!!!” came a yell from my boss’s office. I walked out of my office and into his.
“Yes, boss?” I said quietly.
“You are 5 minutes late!! Miss lunch today!” said Mr George
“Yes boss” I turned around and left the room, walking into my office.

I picked up my emails and found a work opportunity. It paid £5,000 a day, though it was only going to take an hour or two. I pulled my clothes out of my bag and put them on. I read the instructions and took note. “Tail John Moor starting at the Hansford Mansion. Take note of the places he goes. Stay away from him. Do not let him think you are following him. You know what to do when you find evidence. ” I sighed putting on the clothes and leaving the office. “Where are you going McClaren?” demanded my boss.
“Job” was the only word I said.
I left and got in the car. I drove 1 mile before I arrived at the mansion. I parked and waited nearby.
A few minutes later a man emerged from the building. I watched him walk to his limousine and get in. A minute later the limo drove off.
I started the car, pushing down on the accelerator and zooming off towards his car. I tailed him for 2 miles before he got to a train station. He got on a train and I followed, keeping my distance at all times. I boarded the train without a ticket. “Excuse me” said a guard walking over, “Where’s your ticket?”.
I opened a small pouch and took out my I.D.. “Sergeant Lilith McClaren – I work for the police, and I’m tailing a passenger. Let me aboard or I’ll take this up with my boss.” I said calmly.
The guard snatched my I.D. and read what it said; “Whatever” he said tossing it back to me, “I have to make a living you know.”
I handed him a $5 note, “Happy? I’ve paid for my ticket, now leave me alone”
He nodded and walked away.

An hour later the train stopped, and Moor got off. I followed.
He called for a taxi and I did too, I told the driver to follow the taxi and he did. Moor stopped at a disused pub and went in. I wrote down the address and followed him in. Once inside I saw a big entrance hall and stairs upwards. It was a C.I.A. building. I walked up to the desk and flashed my I.D. at the receptionist. “What is Mr. John Moor doing here?” I asked.
“He works here,” giggled the receptionist, stupidly, “he works under cover!!”
I nodded, noting it down without the blond bimbo effect. “Thank you” I said leaving the building.
I got into a taxi and drove back to my car. I got in and drove back to work, where I reported what I’d seen and heard.

I finished work and went home, where I did my jobs. Suddenly there was a knock on the door, I put down the hot iron and answered it. It was Kath. “KATH!” I exclaimed.
“No” said Kath, “I’m not Kath”
I stared at her, she looked like Kath but – “Marie!” I exclaimed backing away.
“You put me in gaol,” she said drawing a knife from her belt and running it down her fingers, “I’m here for revenge”…………………
