Default His Blazing Path (ch.9)

Okay, I decided to make myself useful and put my writing skills to the test. I am writing my first KH fanfic! Yay!
Read, comment, enjoy! :)

His Blazing Path
( Thanks to Abbot for the re-naming
^^)

Intro: Starting
------------
Why am I unlike the others? Why is it that they go play, and have fun, that I am just watching them? They invite me. But I refuse.

Why do I refuse? Am I afraid? Am I scared for what the result could be? Do I think that I will get hurt? They don’t get hurt. They laugh, and jump, and crack jokes. I listen, and I will laugh nervously. They ask what’s wrong, and I just say, “Nothing, I just don’t feel good,” so they get up and leave.

I want to fit in. I will do anything to fit in.

You want me to change my hair? I’ll dye it pitch black. Change my eye color? I would gouge my eyes out for a normal life!

I go to sleep freezing cold, and wake up hotter than I’ve ever been before. But sometimes… sometimes the nightmares aren’t nightmares. They are real. They are good. Some nights, when I wake up, I want to keep dreaming, keep going on with the story. These messages… what do they mean!

“What is your real name? Do you remember?”
“…?”
“You still don’t know…”

I don’t know. I don’t think I’ll ever know. Is this the future? Or is this the past? If It were the past… I would remember it… right?

All of these dreams, nightmares… this isn’t what my friends go through… is it? Do they experience the same things as me? I wonder… I guess I will ask them… tomorrow.

Namine. Take him.”

End of Intro

So, what you think? (I know, the intro sounds like Roxas. But it isn't). Comment please, tell me what you think! Sorry, but I might not be able to update every day. I have an extremely busy schedule with school right now, so it might be every 3 or 4 days. Sorry! :(

Okay I finished chapter 1. Don't expect chapter 2 for a few days. Sorry! Comment and enjoy! :)

Chapter One: Found
------------
He jerked awake with a large force.

“What… what the hell was that?” He tried remembering the dream.

“Namine. Take him.”

He shrugged. “Knowing all of these weird dreams, it’s probably nothing.” He jumped out of bed and ran downstairs, only to find his best friend in his kitchen. “Oh, hey Sora.” He said.

“Hey! Me and Riku are going to the Island later with Kairi… you wanna join?” Sora said.

“Sure, I’ll go. Got nothing better to do, right?” He grinned. Sora smiled and said, “Okay, so we’ll meet you at the Island in about an hour. See you!” Then he left.

He got dressed and headed to the Island. He got there, only to find Sora, Riku, Kairi, Wakka, and Tidus playing ball. He stopped, and slowed down for a second. He started getting dizzy, and sat down. Riku walked up to him.

“Hey, man, what’s the matter with you? Lately you’ve just been lazy. Is there something wrong?” He worried.

“Nah, Riku. I’m just not feeling too good…”

“Woah, take a break if you don’t feel so hot. Maybe you should lay down in the shack or something.”

“Yeah, that’s not a bad idea…” He got up and staggered to the sea shack. When he got inside, he saw a hooded figure in the shaded corner.

“You… Do you know who you are?”

“Excuse me?” He answered abruptly.

“Do you know your name? Your true name?”

“Well, yeah… it’s…… it’s…….” He couldn’t remember. He opened his eyes wider and staggered backwards. “Who…. Who are you?!” He squeaked.

“Please…. Don’t be afraid….” The voice said calmly, as she reached for his hand. “I’m here to help you….” It took it’s hand back. The figure then took off it’s hood, to reveal a small blonde girl. “I can help you figure this out.” She smiled.

“Figure what out? There’s nothing to figure out here… I’m just forgetful lately… That’s all…” He pondered. He turned around to leave, suddenly not in the mood to nap. The young girl grabbed his shoulder, and turned him around.

“You can’t leave. Not now. I need to know you more, before… nevermind,” she shook her head.

“No… before what?” He asked.

“It’s not important now. Anyways, has anything weird been happening to you lately? Strange dreams, or fatigue?” She’s starting to sound like a doctor, he thought. He giggled quietly to himself, and replied, “Yeah, I’ve been having some really screwed up dreams lately. I figured it was just a phase so I didn’t think it was that serious… Is it?” He asked.

“Ah, damnit!” She whispered suddenly. He didn’t think such a sweet-looking girl would have such a sharp tongue. “I should have come earlier.”

“Can somebody please explain to me what’s going on?!” He yelled.

“Shhhh!!!” She put her finger to her lips. He noticed she was wearing white gloves. Interesting, for such a dark outfit… He thought. “Okay,” she sighed, “You are in an organization. An organization of incomplete people, who wish to be whole. What they are, are called Nobodies. The organization is called Organization XIII, which contain thirteen of the strongeset nobodies. We… well, actually, I myself do not know what they are planning to do. It is only known by our leader—“

“Wait, wait, wait. I am a part of this organization? I don’t remember signing up for this…”

“Yes. Because your memory got wiped out when you left us. But your… your Somebody is still alive. And he needs to come back. But he cannot come back unless you are there. Without you, he is nothing. You are him. We need you to come back with us—“

“Again, what?! Who is ‘us’?! I am not a nobody, I am a whole person! I’ve always been a whole person… haven’t I?” He began breathing heavily, and he could barely squeak out a word.

“I’m sorry…” The girl said, “but you need to come with me for you to understand anything. I will give you one day to get ready… *because that’s the only time you have left*” She whispered. She turned to leave, for she was done here.

“W-wait. What is your name? What is my name?” He choked out.

“My name, is Namine. And you’re true name, is Lea. Welcome back… Axel.”

Chapter Two: Off
------------
Axel was left in the shack, alone. He didn’t know what to do. Is he to go outside and tell the rest what had happened? He decided to lay down and try resting, but he had so much on his mind. A few minutes later, he got up and walked outside. “Woah!!” He almost yelled. It was nighttime! He could have sworn he was at the Island at noon. Talking sure wastes time, he thought. He looked around, only to find Kairi sitting near the waterfall. He sat down next to her, and she looked at her with red, bloodshot eyes.

“You okay, Kairi?” Axel asked worriedly.

“Umm, yeah, you know… I’m fine… I wasn’t expecting you here. I thought you went home with the others…” she seemed very depressed.

“No, I rested in the shack, I just woke up. Are you sure you’re okay, Kairi? You look really depressed…” He didn’t want to seem rude.

“Axel, I said I’m fine!! God! I think it’s about time you went home,” she snapped.

“Yeah, I guess so… take care Kairi.” Axel then got up and left. While on his way home, he wondered about Kairi, and what was wrong. He figured it was nothing, and shook it off. When he got home, he noticed the girl was in her room. Namine, that’s her name, right? Axel thought. He jumped at first but her look made him reassure himself. “Why are you here?”

“Le--, Axel. You need to get a good rest. Pack clothes, particularly all of them. I will be waiting in the same place we first met, at the same time. See you then. And please, don’t get angry…. at anything,” she said calmly. She then turned and summoned some sort of darkness portal. Axel backed away, making sure nothing touched him. When it was gone, he let out a big breath.

He fell into his bed, and started thinking about everything that had happened that day. What will become of him? Will he ever see his friends again after tomorrow? He started sniffing, and eventually started to cry softly. Axel looked at his clock through blurry eyes. Midnight.

I need to sleep…. Now. He thought quickly, and closed his eyes.
-----------------------------------

Right when the sun shone through his window, he woke up. Axel opened the window, and looked at what would always be in his memories. No matter what happens, he’ll never forget Destiny Islands... the place where he grew up. His childhood.

He got dressed, ran downstairs, and left without a bite of food. He sprinted to Sora’s house, and arrived breathless.

“Axel? Jeez, what’s the matter with you?” Sora said with wide eyes.

“H… hey. We should do something today! You, me, Riku… Kairi, the others…,” Axel breathed, “Sometime before… Noon. Sound good?”

“Umm, okay. I’ll call Riku, Kairi, and the rest and we’ll meet you at the Island there. See you in a bit.”

“Okay… awesome! I’ll see you then. Bye,” and Axel left.

-----------------------------------

When he arrived at the Island, there was nobody there. He checked his watch. Noon exactly. He shrugged and sat down on the beach. A while later, he looked at his watch again.

Noon exactly. But… but… didn’t I just look at the clock a few minutes ago? What the hell? He panicked. He looked out to the other island, and saw a piece of driftwood. He kept watching it. It seemed to have colors on it. Colorful driftwood? He got into his boat and paddled to it.

He was a few feet from the driftwood when he noticed that it wasn’t driftwood at all. It was one of the boats. And Sora, Riku, and Kairi were inside! Axel noticed they weren’t moving, so he jumped into their boat to get their attention. When he jumped in, the boat didn’t move. It didn’t rock back and forth.

Now he started really panicking. Axel jumped off the boat and into his, and noticed that his boat worked just fine. He cursed under his breath as he paddled back to the Island. He burst into the Sea Shack and looked around. He froze when he saw Namine standing there.

“You finally made. It only took you zero seconds. If you haven’t realized, time is frozen. Because the time you met me was noon, exactly. I told you to come at the same time we met, and at the same place. Because your journey is beginning at noon exactly, it will stay frozen until you are on your way to the starting point of it.”

“My journey? Ummm… I don’t think I want an journey…. Sorry.”

Namine giggled and replied, “You silly. You can’t choose if your having a journey or not. It chooses you. Please. Unless you want frozen time for the rest of your unchanging life, you best come with me. Take my hand.”

“O-okay… I guess we’re all in this together, right?” He said as if under pressure.

And he took her hand.

End of chapter 2

Chapter Three: Explore

-------------

Namine put on her white gloves and squeezed his hand. Those white gloves again, Axel thought. Then he flinched, and yelled, “What’s your problem? Can you please stop crushing my hand into a thousand bits?”

“Sorry. It takes a lot to get two people through.”

“Through what?” He asked wonderingly.

“Through this.” Namine grunted cutely, and a dark portal opened, like the one he saw last time. She turned Axel around, grabbed his shoulders, and threw him into the portal.

“Woah!!” He yelled as he tripped into the portal. He closed his eyes and opened them. He saw himself standing in the woods of some town. Axel took some time to walk around and check it out. He turned around a tree and found Namine standing there. She looked at him angrily.

“I told you not to go anwhere!” She screeched.

“No… No you didn’t…?” He cocked his head.

“Oh. Well then, don’t go anywhere. Only go where I tell you to go. Now, follow me,” Namine said. She led him to where the entrance of the woods were, and found himself in a quaint town. “Let’s go,” Namine said, and started walking in the direction of some sort of small, open arena.

Struggle! Said the garage near the arena. He giggled to himself (what a silly thing to say on a garage, he thought) and continued following Namine. She led him to a gate with a rusty gated door on it. She opened the door and led him in first. He went through the door, thinking Namine was behind him. He turned around to find that she disappeared. He yelled, “What the hell!! She leads me to some random place and then just leaves me here?!

“Who are you, and why are you yelling at yourself,” a voice suddenly said. Axel was startled and turned around. He saw three kids in a cramped room. The room had a couch, a metal box thing, and a few dart boards lying around, along with darts.

“Ummmmmm… Wait, I wasn’t—okay nevermind. Can you just tell me where I am and who you are?” Axel snapped.

“My name’s Hayner, this is Pence, and over there is Olette,” replied a tough blonde boy. He pointed to a plump black-haired boy, and a brunette girl with stunning green eyes.

“Hey,” said Pence.

“Hi there!” said Olette cheerfully.

“Uh, hi, whatever. Have you seen a girl about yay high,” he motioned his hands to the height of his chest, “and wearing a bloack coat? I need to see her.”

“No, sorry. But there is a train station nearby if you want to check there,” Olette replied. She walked to the other side of the room and opened a rusty file cabinet. She pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to Axel. It was a map, and this town was quite small. Smaller than the Destiny Islands’ Home Island. The name of the town was smudged, so Axel still had no idea where he was.

“Well, what are you still doing here? Get out.” Hayner was already at the door, opening it for him.

“Fine. I’ll see you guys in the next life,” Axel said sarcastically. So far, he only liked Olette because she was welcoming.

He shrugged it off, and walked up Station Plaza. When he got to the top of the hill, the Train Station was in full view. He started speed walking to his destination, and everntually ran. In midst run, he was thumped by a man in a black coat. He was hit so hard and so fast, that he fell to the ground.

“Where are you going.”

“Wha-what?” Axel said fuzzily.

“I said, where are you going.” He replied sternly.

“I’m going to the… Wait, who are you?”

“Names are unimportant.”

“Well, I’m going to the train station and—hey, wait!!!” Axel noticed that right after he said where he was going, the man was in hot pursuit to the same place. “I said wait!!!”

The man kept running, but Axel was faster. He caught up to the man in seconds, and tackled him to the ground. He laughed at the black-coated man, and looked down at him. He was gone. What??!?! Axel said, pissed. He growled and walked to the train station. The ticket counter lady asked where he was headed.

“Umm, no I don’t think I’m going anywhere. Listen, have you seen a blonde girl, about yay high,” he did the motion again, “and wearing a bloack coat? I need to find her.”

“I can’t say I saw anyone from the looks of that. I’ll keep my eye out for her, though.”

Axel thanked her and walked around the rest of the station. He looked at all the trains and where they were headed. One was headed to the beach, on to Sunset Terrace, and one to… one to…

I wonder where this train goes to. The train looked purple, with yellow stars all over it. And it had a wizard hat on the top. How peculiar. He walked to the ticket counter and said, “Excuse me, but how much is the train ticket for that train?” He pointed at the strange train.

“What train? I’m not sure where you’re pointing.”

That train, right there.” He pointed to it again.

“Uhhhh, there is no train there. If you’re as crazy as you seem, then you can just go on the train for free.”

“Okay, thanks!” He didn’t even wonder about why she couldn’t see the train. He jumped onto the train car and it started moving. He lied down and dreamt.

-----------------------------

Hmmm. What a strange dream. It’s like… real. But it’s not, so la la la la la.

“Hey, Axel. You finally found me.”

Whaa? Who’s there?

“Here, it’s me, Namine. Come over here. We have some free time now.”

Okay, so what do we do in our so-called ‘free time’?

“You can ask me questions, about all of this that’s going on.”

Oh. Well trust me when I say I’ve got a lot of questions!

“That’s good, we have enough time to answer them. What is your first question?”

My first question… Where am I?

“Oh, this place is called Twilight Town. A few people here are dear to us with information.”

Hmmm… information. What kind of information?

“Well…”

End of Chapter Three

Okay, so this chapter might be a little... different. Well, it is to me. I'm tired and so my writings are twisted. But I can't stop typing, because I'm afraid I'm going to lose the ideas, yanno?!

I'll get the next chapter up by tomorrow night or Sunday.

I'm startin to get confused, just a little bit.
Axel seems to act like Sora when he meets Hayner and Pence and then like Roxas when he goes to the train station.
Hmmm, maybe it's got something to do with the twist.
I can't wait to find out what happens, I'm the same way i'd act when I walk into a game shop with the biggest variety of games, and maybe some anime and manga if it's one of those shops ^^

Yeah, in this, Axel doesn't act like Axel. I guess I'm too stubborn to make him what he's really like. And it seems cool that Axel is... ordinary, in this.

like when he goes "go roxas, fight fight fight"

never mind that, it's out of topic^^
I noticed only girls are reading this fanfic and posting, YAY NO BOYS!! ( no offense intended)

Omg now that you say it he totally does. Damn, he needs to be manlier. I don't know why I made him like that. Maybe it's because my favorite character in the game was Roxas and I want Axel to be more like him. Speaking of which... haha you'll see eventually.

Yay, cliffhangers...

Aw man, I feel really bad for Axel. Between Namine being somewhat of a bitch and his confusion as to what is really going on, his life just knid of sucks right now. Question, who was the hooded man he ran into? Roxas? Xemnas? I guess it could have been any of the Organization. Anyway, great job, and I look forward to more.
