That was so cute!!! I especially liked it when they went clothes shopping; loved Lea's reaction. I feel really bad for Olette. Lea comes back after three years and then he has to leave; that really sucks. Anyway, great job, and I look forward to more.

Chapter Nine: Shortened

Lea looked at his new wristwatch. 5:00PM, we should be going back soon. Today has been so great, and passed by so quickly; They got to the beach, got some seasalt ice cream, and just sat on the sand and talked. About all that had happened. Nothing gushy, just the way Lea wanted to keep it.

In the three years that Lea was gone, a lot happened. Olette mentioned a few boyfriends, but Lea stopped her right there, because he didn’t want to hear it. He tried to explain what was going on with his life, but it was so hard. She got the main idea, he was taken and moved to a new place, Destiny Islands, where he made new friends and forgot all about the Twilight Town Trio.

Spending time at the beach made Lea remember all of the good times they have had together. They made a promise to each other before heading off: Olette promised to stay in his heart, and he stayed in hers, until Lea was safe and could come back to his real home, Twilight Town.

On their way back to the beach’s train station, Lea snuck a kiss to Olette’s lips. How I’ve really missed that… And she secretly thought the same thing.

They got back to the main train station harmlessly. When walking out of the train, holding hands, they found Namine, Hayner, and Pence waiting for them. Namine was wearing a short white nightgown. It was much different than the black long coat she’d been wearing the whole time Lea was with her. She seemed impatient, tapping her foot.

“Hi, Namine, we—“ Lea started.

“Don’t even. Do you have any idea what time it is? There are nobodies attacking the damn town and you’re in fucking La-la Land!” Lea was getting angry. “Olette, dear, Hayner and the other one will take you back home, while me and this ball of fire take care of these bad things taking over the town.” Now Lea was pissed.

“Don’t talk to her like that!” Lea yelled as if all of Twilight Town could hear. “You have no god damn right to talk to her as if she’s twelve! Go take care of the town yourself, because I’m not going to be your fucking slave!” He breathed heavily through his nose.

Olette teeter-tottered on her feet uneasily. “Um, Lea, it’s okay… I can just go… it’s not a big deal at all.” She shuffled to Hayner and Pence and they slowly walked away, leaving Lea and Namine fighting.

Panting from the anger, Lea managed to get a grip. “Namine. I forgive you. I will help you fight the enemies here, but I’ll tell you something. You need to control your jealousy.”

Now it was Namine’s turn to get angry. She bottled it up, breathed, and led Lea out of the train station.

Walking outside, they noticed two gray dancing figures sliding throughout the center of the train station’s common. “Those are Dusks. Get them.” Namine said under her breath.

Whipping out the chakrams, Lea ran to them, spinning his fiery weapons. Chucking each one to the Dusks, they eventually disintegrated without Lea breaking a sweat. He turned towards Namine and grinned. She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. Lea was skipping back to her when three more Dusks appeared in between them.

“I got these ones, calm yourself.” Namine called to him. Lea tried to make out what Namine was doing. She put her arm out and a flurry of glittering light around her hand started to form a giant, silver key.

I’ve seen that thing before…

She grinned and slashed wildly at the Dusks, releasing her previous anger, and they quickly disappeared.

“That was amazing! Since when did you have a weapon?” His eyes were widened with joy.

She put the key away and responded monotonously. “I’ve always had a weapon. I’ve just never used it. Get over it, ‘kay?” She walked away from him in the direction of the Usual Spot. “We’re going to say goodbye, and then we’re leaving. I already have stuff prepared, no thanks to you, so there’s no need to freak.” Lea sighed and tagged along after her.

“You’re leaving so soon?!” Hayner shouted, and stomped his foot in anger. “I thought you would at least stay for a little longer!!”

“Yeah, I agree with Hayner. You should stay for a little while longer.” Pence chimed.

Namine laughed and replied, “Sorry guys, but there are Dusks and other nobodies all over the place, and we gotta stop them before it gets out of hand! We’ll be sure to visit though.”

Meanwhile, Lea and Olette were outside of The Usual Spot. “I know we’ve already said our goodbyes, but I just want to say it once more.” Lea held her hands up to their faces.

Olette just smiled and said, “I know you’ll visit again soon, so I’m not as worried as you think. We can’t make this more than it seems. It will just be for a month or two, right? I won’t get in trouble during then, I promise.” She winked.

Lea brightened and put their hands down. Namine walked outside and yelled, “C’mon Lea, say bye to the rest of them and let’s gooo!”

Lea said his goodbyes, they all hugged, and Hayner even gave him some ice cream before they left to the Sandlot.

At the Sandlot, Lea and Namine stood smack in the middle of the tiny arena. “Alright, Lea, I think I know where we should look first. I’ll start the portal, you don’t need to do anything for now.” She slipped on her white gloves, put her hands up, and a portal was summoned. She grabbed Lea’s hand. They looked at each other, nodded, and jumped through.

End of Chapter Nine.

but that was a little strange how Lea acted a little self centered at the station.
oh well at least he stands up for oltte, even though he makes a little fool out of himself a bit.

Holy crap, I have never seen Namine act like that before. I mean, I know Lea was acting selfish, but she was being a total bitch about it; part of me wanted to smack her for the way she acted. So, Namine can weild a Keyblade. Man, the Namine in your story is nothing like the Namine we know from the game, but I have to admit I like seeing her like this instead of the scared little girl from Castle Oblivion. Anyway, great job, and I look forward to more.
