His Blazing Path (ch.9)

I just started reading this and I'm obsessed! Can't wait for the next chapter...

Okay, so I'm working on chapter five now, but last night i was bored (i couldn't type, i was in my room) and so i drew MY version of Axel:

shut up, i know, i suck at drawing. but he came out just too darn cute to not put him on here :3

Chapter Five (Part one): Meet

Axel stood straight and looked at him with passion. “My name is—“

“We know your name. Come inside.” He crossed his arms and waited. Axel shuffled through the door, looking back once just to see if Namine was there. He saw nothing, and looked forward again.

Inside he saw three people, not including the one named Xemnas. There was a man with light black hair with a gray streak, an eyepatch, and a scar running down the side of his face, opposite the patch. And sitting on the floor next to him was a blonde-haired man who’s hair looked like the back of a shrimp. He had the look of a young boy. Next to him, scowling, was a light blonde girl with semi-ponytails. She also looked younger than she probably was. She reminded Axel of a pixie.

They all sat in this extremely large white-blue room, with a long dining table in the middle, same colors as the room.

“Hey, dude, take a seat!” The eye-patched one said. Axel grabbed the nearest seat and started to talk.

“Okay, so who are you guys?”

“Well,” the shrimp-haired boy replied, “My name is Demyx, the other guy here is Xigbar, and that, um, girl is Larxene.” He sneered at the last one.

“Nice to meet you… I think. My name’s Axel, even though you probably knew that somehow.” He smiled at everyone. It was silent for a moment, when suddenly a man walked into the room. He had long blue hair, and a scar shaped like an X across his eyes.

“Hey, Saix, you joined the party!” Demyx ran across the room and put his hand up for a high-five. Saix turned away and walked up to Axel.

“And you are?”

“Saix,” Xemnas answered, “This is Axel. The one we’ve talked about… you know…?” Saix’s face changed for the worst, and he glowered at Axel. He could see the fire in Saix’s eyes.

“Did I do something wrong?”

“No, no. You’re just… troubling, to us. That’s all.” Xemnas coughed and said, “So, why are you here?”

“I believe my… somebody, is here. Do you have any idea as to where it is?” Axel looked at everyone. One by one, each of them turned to Saix.

“What? I may know something that has to do it…” He rolled his eyes.

Saix looked at Demyx, who then looked at Xigbar, who then stared at Larxene, who sneered at Xemnas. Xemnas glanced back at Saix, and Saix smiled. “Okay, Axel, come with me.” Saix held out his hand and motioned to him to come forward.

Axel blinked, dumbfounded, and got up. He went throught the hallway that Saix was walking through, and he heard giggling from behind.

Saix walked, and walked, and walked. What was strange was that all of this walking and it was all the same hallway. He finally reached the end of the hallway, to a giant and light blue door. There was a keypad on the doorknob. Saix swiftly slapped Axel in the head with his arm, and Axel backed away with his eyes closed, so Saix could type in the code. Wow. Smart move, Axel thought.

Saix slowly opened the large door. Inside, Axel saw a huge, marvelous pod. Just a pod. Nothing else. The walls seemed to never end, and the large pod was right in the center. It seemed to have leaves of some sort, like onion peels.

Axel walked inside the room, carefully watching each step. Two feet into the room, Saix slammed the door, and Axel was now all alone with this pod. He stepped right up to the pod, and reached a finger towards it.

Just touch it… you may not know what could be inside of it… but… I can only hope for the best… right?

He squeaked as he poked the giant blue pod.

With a whooooosh, the pod slowly opened…

And Lea was inside. Axel widened his eyes, and couldn’t believe his eyes. It was true… it was all true. Namine wasn’t joking. There before him, lay his real, whole, self. Lea. Axel lowered his head, and felt tears fall down his cheeks. He sniffled, and looked back up at the pod.

“Hi, Lea… My name’s Axel. I think you know who I am, and I know who you are. A friend of mine told me that you are… me. And I am you. We are each other, and we need each other to be whole. Please… please, wake up. I want to meet you… please…” Axel looked down, got down on his knees, and folded his hands together. He looked up with flooded eyes, and watched.

Lea opened his eyes.

And Axel’s half-life went black.

End of Chapter Five (Part One)

Chapter Five (Part Two): Awaken

What… where… who… what am I? There’s nobody here… I could have sworn I heard something. What the… why…

Flashbacks buzzing and rushing throughout his head. Why has he been here before?

Sora… Kairi… Riku…

The friendships he’s made and the ones he remember.

Hayner… Pence… Olette…

Flying colors of starry skies and waves of blue.

Destiny Islands… Twilight Town…

The enemies that have been made and destroyed.

Ansem…

His eyes were open. They’ve been open the whole time, scanning data through his mind. He looked around, and jumped off of the pod. He stretched and let out a loud yawn. Walking around, he wobbled a bit, but finally could keep a steady pace.

Far away, he heard little, little voices. He immediately frowned, and smiled an evil smile. He moved his hands up and down quickly, and then there appeared two black and red chakrams, one on each hand, and ablazed with fire.

He looked at both hands, grinning, and said, “Yeah, baby. Lea is back!!”

He walked up to the door, opened it, and ran down the hallway as fast as he could, with that evil grin on his face, spinning the chakrams, ready for action.

Oh man, that was a really great chapter. I especially liked the ending. So, why did the Organization just let Axel merge with his somebody? I mean, you would think that he would be more useful to them as a Nobody, unless the Organization has some kind of plan for all of this. Oh well, I'm sure all will be revealed in due time. Anyway, great job, and I look forward to more.

Chapter Six: Memories

His beautiful, long red hair. The glistening green in his eyes reminded me of emeralds. His laugh… his laugh. His beautiful giggle, and his bright, glowing smile.

We sat on the sandy beach, right when the sun was setting. Chuckling, he says to me, “If I had all the time in the world, I would spend every second of every day with you, right here. In this perfect piece of forever. I’ll never lose you, forget you.” Then, he pulls something out of his back pocket. It’s a diamond ring.

“This is my promise to you. Will you accept?”

Lea bursted through the doors of the blue-white room, and looked around, still spinning the chakrams. Standing on opposite side of the room, he saw Xigbar, Larxene, Demyx, and Xemnas, all with wielded weapons.

“Lea. Nice to see you again,” Xemnas said. He grinned.

“Woah, Lea, you look good.” Xigbar grinned as well.

“Leeeeeaaaaa!!” Demyx smiled and waved.

“Tch.” Larxene smirked. She stepped forward with cautiousness.

Lea, standing there, knew she was about to attack. Wait for it… wait for it… Larxene’s finger twitched. Now!! He shot to the corner of the room, away from Larxene. She threw her hands up and down, as if to charge them, and threw one of the knives towards his head. He flew by it, and tossed a chakram to her. Larxene kicked the chakram and flew right back to Lea. Lea caught it, and dashed away from her, since she started to close in on him.

He completely forgot about the others, and Xemnas grabbed him into a headlock. Larxene walked over to him, and put a knife up to his face.

“I swear. Make one move, and I’ll cut you into a thousand pieces.”

“Fine.” Lea said through clenched teeth. Larxene kept the knife in place while she spoke.

“Okay. So. We all know you were just Axel, blah, blah, blah.” She moved her hand as if it were talking, and continued. “Okay, so fun time is over. Now it’s time to get serious. As I’m sure you know already, from that backstabbing Namine, that we’re looking for this kid, Roxas. He was one of us, he rebelled, you know. So he’s escaped our prison, and we don’t know where he is. At all. We want you to work for us, and find him. You need to look everywhere. And that’s your mission.”

Lea put his hand in front of the knife, and put it down slowly, showing he wasn’t going to fight. “I really don’t know who you people think you are, but this is a load of baloney. What did you ever do to make me do a mission for you? I’m not part of this organization, and I’m not going to do this.”

“That’s where you’re wrong, buddy.” Xigbar stepped up to him and continued what Larxene started. “How long ago was it, Xem?” Xemnas shrugged and Xigbar rolled his eyes. “Whatever, anyways, a really long time ago, you were an actual member. You were still a nobody at the time, so you were really one of us. If I remember correctly, and I’m sure the rest of us do, you were the one who convinced Roxas to go against us.”

“This is ridiculous. Why is it that you tell me all of this shit and I remember none of it?”

“Because you left us, man. You were afraid of getting caught so you left us, and you asked Namine to erase your memory. Then she sent you to Destiny Islands. You owe us. It’s only fair.” Xigbar grinned and Demyx pushed him aside.

“Hi, Lea! I want you to know that being part of the Organization again isn’t all fun and games, but most of it is!” He chuckled. Xemnas facepalmed. Demyx skipped out of the room and Xemnas grabbed Lea’s shirt by the collar.

“Okay Lea. Fair is fair, and you need to do your part. Find Roxas. Here.” Xemnas reached into his pocket and pulled out some white gloves. He shoved them into Lea’s pocket and relaxed his grip. “These gloves can take you anywhere. And we aren’t stupid, we know that Namine led you here. We aren’t afraid of her now. We know that she’ll be outside waiting for you. Ask her how to use them. When you find Roxas, take him back here, to Castle Oblivion. If none of us are here, then you are to wait. You got that? We’ll see you soon. Very, very soon.” He tightened his grip again, picked him up, and threw him onto the table. “Now get out.”

Lea grunted and got off the table. Limping to the door, Xigbar pushed him outside.

Remind me why I need to do this? He dusted himself off with an angered look, and walked to the bushes a few hundred feet away. He found Namine crouched down behind the bushes, and he reached out his hand for her.

She widened her eyes her eyes and leaped into his arms. “Axel! Lea! Oh my god, it’s you!!”

Lea didn’t really know what to do, so he wrapped his arms around her. “Yeah. It’s me. Can you do me a favor?”

“Of course. Anything.”

He pulled out the white gloves. “Can you please teach me how to use these?”

like i mentioned a while back, axel is totally different personatily in this story. i made him the way i want him to be :)
