Default Monster Hunter: A Hunter's Legacy!

Adrift from the snowy abyss. With nothing but cold desolation and complete isolation to civilization. A feeding ground to the most ferocious wyverns. In this icy grave, no one can hear you scream for your life. The only thing that awaits you is a painful and agonizing death in the fangs and claws of a supreme predator.

"Quick! Hide!" A man with a severely damaged armor together with a young boy quickly took shelter amongst the towering crags of ice. With nothing left in inventory to save them, plus the below zero temperature makes the situation even harder for them.

"Argh! Dammit! Still nothing works on this damn lizard." He sighed in pain and frustration, severely bleeding half to death after that escape with the ferocious Tigrex.

"Guile...? are you sure you're okay...? Y-you're bleeding pretty bad." uttered the boy, it's either from the extreme cold or the fear of not getting out alive or the situation of his fellow hunter.

"Can it!" Guile yelled, "It'll take more than this to put me down--Arggh!" the more he yelled, the more pain he feels. He is clearly pushing himself to the limit, determined to finish this quest no matter what. He can't even lift his own weapon anymore.

"Please, let us go back to the guild! We can't risk any--", "To hell with that!" before the boy could even finish his sentence, the hunter again yelled in anger. He grabbed the boy by the collar and pulled him closer. "Listen, if you compromise this quest--then I"LL KILL YOU INSTEAD!!! we have come this far and there's no point going back understood?!" the boy was completely speechless. It seems right now his companion's mind cannot be changed whatever the reasoning he can give him.

"Now listen well, since we can't defeat him by force. We would have to lure him into the trap we set earlier. You will head through the camp, and I'll distract him." the boy's eyes widened when he heard the hunter's plan, "B-but--that's dangerous!" he said. "Don't talk to me about dangerous!!! Now if you have the heart to complete this quest which I know you do, then you will do as I say!" a statement of assertion, there was no choice. The boy strapped-on his helmet and prepared to go.

They together exited the cave and then rushed through the cliff where they have set the large barrel bombs in place. Although severely wounded, Guile tried his best to tie the fuses together while the boy was on the lookout for the predator. Moments later, a strange aura filled the freezing blizzard. Sounds of flapping gusts of wind can be heard from afar. The boy then was furious, he knew that he was here. And then, a sudden brief moment of silence. The boy was on a panic rush, heart beating faster and guard barely holding up with knees shaking in fear.

As the final fuse was set, Guile's string was plucked, "KID! LOOKOUT!" the wyvern broke out of the icy ground from where the boy was standing. Sending him plummeting towards Guile. Now that all the actors are here, it's time to start the scene. The ferocious Tigrex was on a pouncing stance, bearing that scar on its face dealt by Guile's greatsword earlier. Blood rushing through its veins on its claws and webbing and on its skull, making it colored blood red. And eyes focused on its prey, the wyvern is on its most ferocious state. The two hunters are now in front of the face of death.

"Now kid--" Guile whispered, "I want you to run as fast as you can and head through the camp." he pulled out his greatsword and then took stance while holding the bombs' fuses. "But--", "NOW!!!" the angered wyvern unleashed a very loud and defeaning roar, enough to create painful soundwaves that can shatter a thick glass into pieces. That rendered both hunters disoriented. The wyvern then continued to charge at the two hunters with tremendous speed and jaws snapping. "Goodbye Kujo..." Guile then pushed the boy off the cliff and then set off the large barrel bombs as the Tigrex's jaw was inches away from devouring him alive. "NOOOOO!!!!!" The boy stumbled along with the steep slope of the mountain after seeing the bombs go off together with the wyvern and Guile.

The boy lay flat on below the cliff. Unconscious and barely breathing. Kujo woke up soon after to find Guile's lifeless body beside him. Burned to crisp and nearly incinerated to dust. "Oh god... No Guile! No pleeease no! no! noooo!!!" he sobbed before the lifeless body of a great hunter who risk his life for his comrade and for the quest. Not far from them was the incinerated remains of the dead wyvern. Kujo clenched his fist and bit his lower lip in anger. He picked up Guile's greatsword and then approached the burned wyvern carcass. He held the sword upward and then beheaded the wyvern corpse in one chop. "Bastard! Bastard! BASTARD....!!!" he yelled as he aimlessly mangling the wyvern corpse with tears rolling down his cheeks.

Bathed in wyern blood, Kujo pulls his Napsack and then collected the Tigrex's hide, claws and tail. He then got back from the camp and then constructed a makeshift stretcher with wheels to deliver the comrade's corpse back to the Hunter Guild.

----------------------------

As they arrived at the Guild, Kujo smashed opened the door catching all of the hunters' attention to him. Still bathed in wyvern blood while carrying the corpse of Guile as he entered the Guild hall. He made his way towards the Quest Receptionist and then slammed the contract in front of her. "There..." that was the only thing he can say after all that.

Although hesitant, the Quest Receptionist gave their corresponding reward to Kujo. Kujo received the reward and then faced Guile's lifeless body. "It's done... we can now rest Guile---we made it---" the young hunter then broke down on his knees and then cried in front of the whole Hunter Guild. The fellow hunters then bowed their heads to pay respect for the loss of one of the most admired hunters in the Guild. Lost but forever remembered.
