Sorry, Ziz, I try to be descriptive too! But I can see both sides. While the more descriptions allow others to really see what is going on, a huge block of text can be rather daunting. So, do what you want.

And I feel your pain. But on the other hand, those who just read don't get the cerebral thrill out of reading denser works.

Just finish this one for once!

From what I read of it I like it. I liked how you changed the quote from KH2 into something that involves nightmar.

KINGDOM HEARTS INFINITIES l LOS SINCORAZONES

Title: Los Sincorazones

POV: Third person

Author: Ziz

Genre: Adventure/Friendship/Family

Summary: This story takes place in a KHified version of Earth during the era of the European Reinassance (late 1400s to 1600s). Since many Disney stories are already in a medieval timeframe or can be slightly twisted to fit it, they will mostly be incorporated in this saga. This is also applied to the Final Fantasy cameos already made their mark as distinct AU characters in the KH universe such as Aerith Gainsborough or Auron will be put into the story as well as many unique and new ones. Along with that, there will be original characters from time to time as well as characters from real-life history bumping in if the following three can not fit. I want you to please enjoy the adventure of this new Ventus-inspired protagonist.

- A Gallo-Roman soldier 790s in The Chronicles of the Franks by Gregorius Julius Caesarionius of Paris
----------

The city of Izmit, sitting on a large hill high above sea level overlooking the Bay of Izmit across the Sea of Marmara where the imperial capital of Constantinople was located, was unlike most of the cities situated in Ottoman-ruled Asia Minor. It did not suffer the massive changes in its outward appearance or demographics that many of its sister municipalities had experienced the settlement of thousands of ethnic Turkmen tribal families from the sparsely uninhabited eastern border territories in Armenia. For the exception of the local Ottoman garrison of Turkish soldiers stationed at the old Byzantine citadel, most of the population in Izmit remained in the most part ethnically and lingually Anatolian Greek as well as remaining loyal faithful adherents to Orthodox Christianity.

In contrast to other neighboring Ottoman cities alongisde the coast bordering the Sea of Marmara, Izmit was built and planned in the elegeant, ornate style of the wealthy mercantile city-states of the Italian peninsula instead of the Middle East. At the center of the quaint, little Turkish city was the villa of the local Pasha of Rum Vilayet Wali Sa'id Mohammed, which included small, ornately-designed gardens and orchids and a mosque built specifically for the Anatolian Wali to worship in private with his loyal followers without having to practice his religion, along with the offices of the City Councillor of the Palace. Surrounding the administrator's urban villa was the grand bazaar, a place where local as well as foreign business could conduct their business and sell their goods to the public masses who visited the district in relative peace.

Within the mercantile district, there was the old Byzantine citadel where the old Norse-descended Varangian Guard of the deceased Eastern Roman Empire, later the Turkish Janissaries were stationed on orders of the Sultan Bayezid to keep the peace in Izmit. At night the district was shut off from the rest of the city. Extending north from the villa, was the great Path of the Conquerer, which owed more to the ancient Macedonian ruler and Keybearer King of Kings Alexandros Megaros than to the Byzantine Greeks or Ottoman Turks. At the end of the cobblestone highway was the Imperial Basilica of Saint Cyril the Great, its spire made from pure white marble from the Kingdom of Bohemia.

The spire of the local Orthodox basilica was the first sign of the city of Izmit that Ben and the other Ottoman soldiers saw as the Turkish naval dhow headed closer and closer to the dockyard. He leaned out of the deck railing and squinted in the May sun to get a better look of the building.

"Look at that church over there in the distance!" Bentos shouted excitedly as he leaned againist the railing of the dhow much to the annoyance of the other mercernary soldiers onboard. "It must be the tallest building I've ever seen in my life. I won't be surprised if it was the tallest building in the whole world." Ben never really did travel much beyond the old castle of his master Merlinus outside the city of until several years ago

Riku snorted and waved his hands in front of his face, shooing away flies that were buzzing around he silver haired man's face. They were being annoying to him although he sure couldn't blame them for buzzing around him considering that he smelled like a dead sky yak. "Honestly kid, you give yourself and everyone else onboard this damn Saracen ship away as first time visitors! I could swear by my ex-wife Kairi's life that if merchants begin to try selling useless crap to me, me and the rest of the mercernaries are going to murder you."

"...you're kidding I hope?" Ben asked Riku, hoping that the threat wasn't serious.

"..."

"Unfortunately yes, I am just jesting with you," answered Riku as he looked over to his left away from Ben. "You should calm down, Ben. If any of these local Turkish merchants are as fierce and lively as those Muslim merchants that I met at Singapore when I was under the service of a Chinese Ming naval expedition by led by Admiral Zheng He, we need to tread through Izmit with much caution if the two of us along with the rest of the mercernaries aboard this ship are to make it to the countryside in time without having to buy a single trinket."

"Hehehehe," Ben placed his arms behind his spiky blond hair and tilted his head to the left. The young blond mercernary looked at the silver haired Japanese man's hands grip tightly at the railings and groan loudly in agony. He cringed as he saw him throw up yet almost wanted to laugh about it the next minute, "I assume that you've got a hang over again judging by that ugly mug of yours. Is it true or not? No surprise from me that you decided to continue your habit of being a heavy drinker, what a damn shame."

“What is the basilica's spire made of?” Ben asked the swearing Japanese samurai mercernary.

“Its marble, originating from one of the Hapsburg kingdoms in the western, more frigid portions of Franghistan. There are silver statues made from silver from the Bohmheim. The architect was...well is...a Persian Nestoration Christian, and to think that there were still Christians around," with those words, Riku let out a brief moment of chuckles. "A gift from the Sultan of the Safavid Empire. As for the other gift that His Highness recieved from the Persians, I can assume it is being stored somewhere safe in the royal palace back at Constantinople."

Ben raised an eyebrow and then asked, "Other gift? There was another gift for the Sultan?"

"Oh yes, there was another gift that the Sultan has," said Riku. “The Persian sultan has given His Highness a Bahamut Fury, the golden king of all dragon beasts. It is a beast twice the size of a normal human being, its scales is as thick and as tough as leather; but a bright golden colour. If we are lucky, then we will be able to see it, unless we have the unfortunate luck of encountering some Barbary Coast pirates and get killed in some raid."

"What?" The blond mercernary paled and gulped nervously, "You got to be kidding, Riku! I know that the areas surrounding the small city that we are heading towards is populated by these Saracen heretics!"

Riku chuckled at the worried expression on Ben's face, "You really need to take a chill pill Benny. Grow a sense of humour for Christ's sake! We might be working for a Mohammedan worshipper but at least we don't need to worry about being attacked by the local raiders who love to hide in the cities of this ragged Anatolian coastline." The young blond warrior's face just reddened with anger and was about to shout out a comeback but seeing the long, sharp steel katana held near his waist, he quickly silenced himself before uttering those words. "Something you wanted to say to me that I should hear, Ben?" inquired the silver haired Japanese teenager, raising an eyebrow.

"It's nothing, don't get your ponytail in a bunch."

"Whatever floats your boat," The silver haired samurai warrior rolled his eyes and continued to rest his arms on the railing of the ship
----------

The Turkman was tall and swarthy, his face dominated by a small petite nose, his black untamed hair covered his eyes, but when you saw them, they glowed with determination. The man with the black untamed hair and the chocolate colored eyes was known by everyone in the Ottoman Imperial Army, especially among the elite Janissary Corps, as Aladdin. He wore armour and clothes cobbled together from whatever he could find, and the sword he welded had been forged in Constantinople. He swagged into the court of Bayezid, his group of armed retainers kept their distance close to him and every eye of the court rested on them. They were dressed in the similar fashion to their military commander and half of them were ethnic Greeks while one or two seemed to be Avarish.

"Your Highness, Aladdin and his band of Janissaries have come all the way from the dominion of Wali Abis Mal in Egypt to speak to you." Jafar would rather prefer that Aladdin and his band of penniless street rats turned soldiers would had left. "He claims to have a need to have a private audience with you, milord or that is what he has told me when we spoke earlier onboard the ship before you and your daughter Yazmin had went to Salonika."

"So you're the one who allowed him, a commoner no less, access to my Palace and the treasures which lay inside?" shouted the sultan Bayezid angrily as he slammed his fists on the arm of his diamond-encrusted golden throne. The Turkish ruler tilted his head towards the left where his Grand Vizier Jafar stood. He was definetely not well pleased with his Vizier's actions in allowing a commoner into the Palace especially when knowing fully that it was illegal. "If you were not the one who helped raise me into the Imperial purple, I would had have you executed for insolence! But considering the many selfless deeds you've done for me and my father, I am reluctantly more than willing to hear your excuse for disobeying my orders."

The Ottoman army captin Aladdin stood before the presence of the Turk sovereign and bowed before him in reverence, followed by his soldiers. "Sultan Bayezid II Osmanli, son of Mehmed the Conquerer, Caliph and Sultan of the Empire and Princess Yazmin Osmanli, I apologize for my presence being here considering that it is againist Sharia for someone of such impure blood to be anywhere near your Palace and your daughter." He gestured to one of his armed companions, who carried a large sack, and he walked forward, and put the sack on the cold stone floor. "Sa'id," continued the raven-haired Turkish male, "I understand that this must be an incovienence for my presence to be butting into the middle of what seems to be a meeting between you, your war minister Al-Holvez and the generals."

Jiminos Criketos, the Sultan's royal scribe and Imperial record keeper of the Ottoman Empire, scoffed at Aladdin's poor attempt at an excuse, "If you realize it was such an inconvience to annoy His Highness while he was discussing matters of utter importance to himself, the court and the entire Empire as a whole, you would had been wise to butt out and let the Sultan speak with his advisors first. Whatever business that has brought you here away from Egypt where you and your regiment of soldiers should be putting down the native Copt uprising must wait for sometime in the near future."

“Sa'id,” continued the Turkish military capitan Aladdin, “I did not come all this way from the land of the Pharoahs completely devoid of good news. I hear from many sources I dare not reveal that you are much a fan of little trinkets and gizmos from all over the world. So on the morning of this fifth day of May, I present you with the treasures of a tomb not discovered for almost two thousand years. An enigma that has eluded many of the finest scientists and researchers from all over the world throughout the ages. I present you the treasures of the Cave of Wonders...the tomb of the legendary Macedonian king and King of Kings of ancient Persia Alexandros Arpeados vil Megaros. I present you treasures you will not believe until you see it yourself!"

“How do I know that this treasure you have presented to me is that of the tomb of the Makedonian king Alexandros Megaros, not some poor peasant citzen of the Ottoman Empire that you ambushed on a lonely road in the dead of night?” fired back the Ottoman War Minister Al-Holvez at Aladdin with some doubt. He turned back towards the Sultan Bayezid and said, "Surely you do not believe this commoner, milord? The tomb of Alexandros Megaros has not been discovered for thousands of years and every person who has sought the treasures within that tomb has either given up or been found dead."

"I understand that you have doubts concerning the validity of the treasure. It is common knowledge that many people throughout the world fabricate cheap copies of these legendary treasures to gain a quick profit at the local bazaars and markets." The military commander Aladdin grinned confidently at the Sultan and his royal court, “I bring the rest of the trasure if you would desire, Your Highness. It is your will if you want me to, I will not force you to see it my way.” He gestured to two of his armed male retainers, they dropped the large bag they were carrying.
----------

The cart trundled on in silence, and the traffic got heavier as more carts, horses and carriages crowded the road as they approached the palace grounds. It was May, in the capitol of Ottoman Rum Viyalet, which could only mean one thing: campus maii. The annual gathering where the Pasha Sa'id Mohammed called his advisors: generals, beypaliks, along with the local village Sunni Muslim imams and Eastern Orthodox priests, to an bimonthly meeting. It was here that the next year's provincial raiding party was decided, along with other matters of the state. In the most recent of years, this was unsettling for many of the magnates. The re-founding of as capitol of Rum was unheard of. What did the Sultan think he was doing?

"I've been wanting to ask something to you for a long time," said Bentos as he sat up and looked at his silver haired companion Riku, whom in the short period of almost one whole day had become best friends. It was almost like they were good friends from childhood meeting once again to catch up on each other's lives. He knew practically everything about Riku as Riku knew everything about Ben, he was never this close "What is your reason behind coming all this way from your homeland of Japan to serve as a mercernary under the banner of the Sultan?"

"I should be asking you that very same question too, Sora," said Riku nonchalantly as he was reading the lines of his favorite book of poems, LOVELESS. The tone of his voice and his reponse almost gave the implication that he did want to answer Ben's question. Several seconds did not pass until Riku closed LOVELESS and placed it on top of the pile of hay next to him, "You know what, forget the last words I said to you just now."

"What?" Bentos blinked a bit, "Wait a minute here...did you just call me Sora just now?"

"Forget it," hissed Riku angrily.

"Why did you call me Sora?" Ben asked Riku, he did not want to let the issue go away so quickly as Riku had wanted to.

"..."

"You're going to tell me anytime soon why you called me Sora or I'm going to have to beat it out of you?"

Riku shook his head and lowered his head letting out what seemed to be a sad sigh, "There's no need to be so hasty and give me a smacking. It was a slip of the tounge on my part and I'm sorry for calling you Sora. Can you forgive me and forget that we ever had this moment before I have to make you forget with a swipe of Soul Eater?"

"Like you said before, there's no need to be so hasty and give me a smacking!" Bentos chuckled a bit and gave Riku a light push on his shoulders making him fall on the stack of hay. The silver haired mercernary Riku muttered some sort of profanity in native Japanese although Ben couldn't make it out whether he was insulting him or not due to being unable to understand Oriental tounges, especially the Japanese language. The blond-haired fifteen year old's cheery expression soon turned grave, "There is no shame of admitting the reason of why you left your homeland. You're among friends here and no one here will judge since every one of us contains a dark sin hidden away in the shadows of your past memories."

"My backstory is unlike the stories of others whom you have met," Riku whispered softly as he stood up from the spot from which he rested in the cart and turned around. The silver haired Japanese teen stared at the sunset behind him, "Don't take me for the other campy mercernaries whom you've met so far in the Ottoman army like your pals Terai and Aqua, I'm completely different. I did things that if you found out, you would never want to be near me ever again."

"What did you do to make yourself so sad and depressed?" asked Ben.

"My sins are mine to bear alone to bear and for me to know. I rather not say them to you because I am under close supervision by them."

"Oh come on Riku!" pleaded Ben as he began pulling the edges of Riku's samurai cloak, demanding an answer out of him.

"It all started when I had first returned from the war in Korea againist the Ming dynasty of China which lasted for about two years. In reward of my faithful service to the ruler of Japan, Shogun Uchida-sama, he allotted to me and the surviving members of the military men that I led into battle large plots of fertile land out in the Kanto region in Honshu, mines being the largest with ten thousand square acres given to me to administer and then..." As soon he began to go into depth with his tale, Riku heard the cries of a girl pleading for help off in the distance. He looked at the other side of the cart, the one known as Ben had disappared.
----------

The blond mercernary knight looked around at the red-haired Gyspy and felt a strange feeling rising in his chest. The fifteen year old boy looked down at his hand as a large key materialized in his hand.

“The Keyblade...what a marvelous weapon," said an enigmatic voice, judging from its sound to be female.

He jumped out at the group of Sincorazones and slashed at the creatures with pure ferocity.

"Those things are the same creatures that attacked me in my dream."

Bentos sensed a Sincorazon jump up at him from behind as if he had eyes in the back of his head. He ducked down and struck at the heartless that had over shot him. He spotted the creature trying to flee from it and ran through the key-shaped sword at it. The Keyblade past through the creature's head as the blade sunk into the building behind the now dead creature of darkness. Now the only thing blocking him from rescueing the girl, now lying on the ground unconscious, was a spiky red-headed man wearing a black cloak draped over his body.

"So the legendary Chosen Keybearer has decided to show himself into the world after two hundred years of non-existence! I was beginning to think you were not going to show up and just when we were going to give up finding you, you done us a good favor by bringing yourself here!" The spiky, pyro-haired man with the emerald-green eyes said as he approached Ben and the mysterious girl who laid there on the ground unconscious. "I could only wonder what side will the Keybearer be fighting on this time around since the last one pretty much was a slave to the darkness as the legends said. You look too innocent to be one of the darkness and plus, you look and smell kind of good. Good job killing those Sincorazones!"

"Thank you...I guess?" Ben sweatdropped, he didn't feel all too comfortable with him and this spiky red-headed stranger alone in a dark Izimit street alley in the dead of night. "Faggot."

The pyro-haired man in the black coat bowed down, "You're very much welcome. It is my pleasure to have the Keybearer in front of me here at last!" He stood back up and continued advancing towards Ben and the girl lying unconscious on the ground for a few moments until he stopped, grinning all the more. "As nice and generous as I am, I'm not willing to share the spotlight with some scrawny little white boy wielding some giant key. It's my show now, Keyblade Master! The name is Akuseru Fujiwara or Fujiwara Akuseru although I prefer you call me Akuseru for short, got it memorized in that little furry head of yours?"

“Umm… sure,” Ben said with a confused look, "Who the hell is this creep?"

“Good, you learn pretty quickly for a scrawny kid,” Akuseru grinned. “So Ben, now that we've introduced each other and are on a first-name basis like good friends should be..." The spiky redhead held his hands out horizontally and with a slight explosive burst of flames in each hand, two weapons appeared. They were two large rings with spikes going around the edge, or in simple terms they were giant chakrams. "Don't you go dying on me, Benny!"

“Here we go then! Booyah” Ben shouted as he advanced into a forwards charge. The blond Keybearer attempted to bash the redhead in the face and swung the Keyblade. Yet Akuseru was fast and was able to dodge his feeble attempt at a charge and then jump into the air landing a swift kick into Ben’s stomach. Ben was thrown back onto the ground but Ben flipped up on his feet quickly. He had to duck as Akuseru swiped one of his weapons at him.

While he was ducked down, Ben shoved his shoulder into Akuseru's stomach and sent him down to the floor. Ben grinned, knowing that it would be the perfect moment to take down the pyromaniac swung the Keyblade at Akuseru's head but he rolled away and leaped back to his feet. Akuseru shot an explosive burst of fire at the blond mercernary and he swatted the attack away with the sword. He tossed his chakrams at Ben. He ducked under it and was ready to make sure that Akuseru couldn’t get it back. He grinned and suddenly disappeared into a swirl that just reeked of the lightless shadows, reappearing behind Ben and catching his weapon.

"Come here! I'll make it all stop for you!" The pyromaniac Gyspy Akuseru laughed as he began to spin his rings so fast they just appeared to be sharp blurs. "Burn baby!!!" He swung one chakram at Ben and then the other one. The second caught Ben on his arm, knocking the giant golden key-shaped sword out of his hands and down on the ground. He had to run back to avoid any further damage from the spiky red-headed man in the black cloak.

“While I would like to continue this little contest, there are more important things that require my attention unfortunately so I guess I have to kill you!” Akuseru spread his arms again. “So I hope you don’t mind if I finish this now. Fire Wall!” A great wall of fire spread from one side of the room to the other with no room for Ben to escape. He was looking all over and saw that there was a small space between the fire and the ceiling. Ben ran forward and with all of his strength vaulted over the fire. On his way down he kicked Akuseru as hard as he could in his face. He hit the ground and stared back up at Ben. With a sneer, he disappeared back into the darkness from whence he came much to the tired blond's happiness that the creep left.

"Just who in the hell was that guy?" Ben walked over to the spot where he dropped the Keyblade when the pyromaniac of a Gyspy named Akuseru unleashed his fiery delouge of flaming chakrams at him. "So this giant key sword...thing is the legendary Keyblade?" Ben spoke to himself in the abandoned street alley as he bent down picked up the key and stared at it. He felt a certain electric spark when he touched the sword, much like he did earlier when the sword was summoned in his hands when he first confronted Akuseru. It was similiar to the sword that he had seen in the dreams, or rather could be said as nightmares, he's been experiencing each night for the past several days, almost a week ago.

"I wonder what's so special about you that you were being chased by some creepy Gyspy with spiky-red hair. You don't look like the type who would hang around his type, if you know what I mean."

"You are correct, my good sir!" Akuseru's voice came from behind him. Another purplish black portal appeared in the other side of the alley againist the wall of another abandoned building, presumably what appeared to be an abandoned clinic, and Akuseru exited out of the dark abyss. "I got to admit that for a scrawny little runt, you almost gave me a scare back there that I was actually going to die!" The spiky red-haired Gyspy male let out a hearty laugh directed at Ben and the unconscious ravenette female, "You're no Rokusasu or Zehanoto but you're better than most of you Frangoi in wielding a Keyblade!"

"Akuseru!" Ben shouted as he turned around and stepped back shifting into a defensive battle stance swinging his Keyblade in front of the spiky red-haired man, "I thought I killed you!"

"OH BENNY!" The spiky redhaired man let out another hearty chuckle and then asked, “After an introduction like that, you're that gullible in thinking you eighty-six'd me and got me playing as the ghost?” Akuseru had the most maniacal grin on that smug face of his and wagged his finger at the blond-haired mercernary turned Keybearer, "I advise you not to underestimate my fighting skills, especially my fire specialty or else you'll end up like the others and I like you too much already to have you killed!" He winked at the Keybearer.

Ben stared at the spiky redheaded man in the black garments, "You... you were just testing my strength." He let go of the Keyblade, sighing of disappointment, "I didn't really beat you at all then.."

"BINGO!" Akuseru chimed happily, "You sir, are correct!" Ben lowered his head and frowned, "Oh don't beat yourself about not being able to kill me in your first try, Benny! Out of all the people I fought so far in this desert wasteland, you're the first person who actually gave me a run for my money and beat me while also living to tell the tale! You passed the test of proving yourself whether the Keybearer could fight back and now the whole world will be opened up to you! Always remember to follow your heart for it is the greatest weapon you carry, there will be people whom you can put your trust on or not, that is for your heart to decide! Remember that this is the beginning of a long journey for you and in the end, you'll end up becoming a different person by what you see."

The blond mercernary placed his hand over his heart and closed his eyes, "Follow my heart?"

"Right!" Akuseru shook his head in agreement, "But remember that your journey will not be undertaken by yourself, you will make friends, allies, and acquaintances as well as enemies such as I each day you will be closer to the ultimate source of power and knowledge, Reino Corazones." He pointed his finger at the girl, "You see that girl lying there unconscious?"

"Yes, I see the girl. What about the girl?" Ben said as he looked down at the unconscious, black-haired girl at his left side and then nodded uneasily, "Something about that girl seems somewhat familiar to me...but I can't seem to exactly remember who she is. She looks pretty...dead."

"Take care and watch over her for she shall be either your salvation or lead you into the fate of complete and utter oblivion of the darkness," answered Akuseru, his expression was not as jovial as before but more grave. "She is one of a million, one of the special beings...that is all I can really say to you right now. Do not let her fall into the wrong hands or else the world that we both know will shatter away into the scattered, empty winds. Do you promise that you'll take care of her?"

"She can be either my very salvation or send me into utter oblivion," Ben hesitated for a moment but eventually accepted, "I will make sure that she won't get captured. You have my word Akuseru."

“That’s my kind of answer! Just what I’d expect from the Chosen Keybearer of Light, even if he is some scrawny kid and just for your information, the name of the girl is Inoue Demetrias,” Akuseru smiled happily, satisfied with what he had seen of Ben so far. He stepped back from Ben and the girl little by little and raised out his arm forming another swirl of darkness againist the wall. “But be forewarned, when your sleeping memories awaken, you may no longer be you.” With that, Akuseru disappeared back into the darkness for good leaving Ben with the mysterious girl.

Awesome update yet again, Ziz. I am so glad that Axel is in the story; he was always one of my favorite characters. I hope he ends up being one of the good guys, even though he is really good at being the bad guy. So, the mysterious girl is named Inoue Demetrias. I wonder what kind of role she'll play in the story. Anyway, great job again, and I look forward to more.

Why? You've done it again Ziz, you start a magnificent story... and stop after a few chapters.
