Actually it doesn't sound like it'd be that hard if he's like Xehanort's Heartless, because Riku pretty much controlled and still controls Xehanort's Heartless within him.

In Kingdom Hearts 1 he stopped the heartless from attacking Kairi, Goofy, and Donald by having a strong will and as everyone knows in Kingdom Hearts re:COM having a strong tie to the darkness pretty did the trick as in Kingdom Hearts 2 he completely controlled said heartless.

All I'm saying is if that's who you're comparing it too, it wouldn't be too hard for anyone who has strong ties to the darkness and a strong will.
The power to use the Light wouldn't hurt either.

Salix might take interest in him for a while and probably would use him to his own desires however he'd probably grow bored after a while and erase his memories before returning him into the Exiled Order with no trace of what he had done to him.

That was controlling him from within, where you can set your own will and self-awareness against it directly. Plus, Riku still had his heart, and he was a keyblader. I'm sure that had a lot to do with it too. And as it was, he still had his outward appearance changed, so he couldn't have controlled it that easily.

anyways, here is my revised recruitment. i was inspired, okay?

“Stop!” Xowlin’s hushed voice commanded the group of cloaks around him.

“What is it?” Xana asked in a quiet, afraid tone.

“It seems that this little guy,” Xowlin displayed the drawn-to-life caterpillar for the group to see, “has found something. Or more specifically, someone.” Xowlin discreetly pointed to a small, dark corner, indicating the location of the unknown ‘someone.’

“Seems that thing was useful after all.” Rextanse replied with a smirk. “But, do we know who your little friend found?”

“Unfortunately, no.” Xowlin grimaced. “So, we have two options. One: We call out and see if this person is friend or foe.” Xowlin stopped, appearing to be in deep thought. “Or. . . we could try to sneak around. This is probably more risky, because then we may be attacked by surprise.”

“Hey! You over there! Hiding in that corner! We know you’re there! Come out and show yourself!” Rextanse unexpectedly yelled to the unknown.

“Dammit Rextanse, you’re such an idiot.” Xowlin dismayed, throwing a hand over his face in disbelief.
As Rextanse stood adamantly waiting for an answer, a crouched black silhouette started to emerge from the shadows.

“He’s in an Organization cloak!” Xana shrieked, grapping Rextanse’s arm in an iron grip.

“Yeah, but. . .” Xowlin started, looking up to view the stranger, “He doesn’t look like anyone I’ve ever seen.”

“Are you from Organization XIII?” The stranger suddenly asked.

“Just the opposite.” Xowlin politely replied.

“You haven’t been sent to bring me back then?” the stranger asked, hope filling his voice. Straightening up, the others we’re finally able to get a full view of him. Dark brown hair came down to his shoulders, and the ends of it seemed to be whitening. Across his back was a massive two handed sword, shaped more differently than any of the group had ever seen. The stranger stood tall, taller than both Rextanse and Xowlin. But, the most defining characteristic was the man’s eyes. They were bright blue, almost grey, and seemed to pierce everything they looked at.

“Your eyes portray your position stranger.” Xowlin commented. “I see sadness in them, and revenge. You are no enemy of ours.” The stranger seemed to lighten at the mention of these words. “I’m Xowlin, by the way. This is Rextanse, and the girl behind him is Xana.” The stranger nodded his head in respect at the mention of each name. “What’s your name stranger, and what does Organization XIII have against you?” Xowlin questioned, hoping to get answers.

“My name is Charxai. Or at least, that’s what I think it is. I’m not too sure anymore.” He looked around, seemingly uncertain of what to say next. “They found me, after my last life, if that life really existed. I was thrown the clothes I wear now and told to join. These men, if they can be called that, talked of dreams of gaining hearts and using them for their own personal gain. Stealing hearts. I had never known such a thing was possible. It’s safe enough to say, I didn’t want to follow these visions of grandeur. So, I took my sword and headed out. However,” Charxai’s tone became much more harsh, “That dog Marluxia sent two of his lackeys after me, Laxeaus and Vexen. I was able to hold my own with Laxeaus for awhile, but when Vexen joined in, it was hardly a fair fight. So, they beat me down and left me for dead. I survived, however, and somehow they finally realized their mistake.” Charxai stopped, sighing heavily. “That was a long while back, however. Searches seemed to have stopped years ago, but I have never stopped running. I have yet figure out how to get out of this accursed place, and have no place to call my own.” Charxai stopped then, seemingly exhausted from the telling of his tale. “Why are you out here? And why are you wearing the same cloak as me?”

After explaining their tale, Xowlin paused. “You’re welcome to come with us, if you like. We have a suitable place, and you can stay there as long as you like. We hope that it will be a permanent abode for you.”

“I believe I’ll do that, Xowlin.” Charxai replied as his features softened. “I think that would work out just fine.”

“We have to get going.” Rextanse stated matter of factly. “We’ve lost enough time as it is.”

And with that, the group of cloaks scurried off into the night, this time with one more added to their number.

hmm interesting. i agree with you Xowlin considering how uninvolved he is with the story so far is difficult to portray.

So, I finished the fist draft of my recruitment. I'll probably start revising it tomorrow.

Ok there are some things that were left out of last nights meeting that need to be solved.
After this whole deciding which people would join and during which chapters business, some of us think it'd be better if we changed the standings of the ranks.

What does this mean?

Essentially this would mean that it'd be better to do the rankings based on the time in which one joins rather than based on overall skill. For instance if we were to use this it really cuts down on the possible fights that might break out amongst members because some would obviously feel that they were being measured on a lower scale than others. Not only that but you can't really judge someones abilities, especially in this series considering they rise and fall so often throughout the course of the show.

It's the obvious choice. You don't need a ranking system to rate the each members powers, I'm sure the Exiled members would just do that themselves within their own rankings.


On Another Note.

We never really decided when Jynx's recruitment was to be due, then again he's not really recruited but more like stolen. If anyone has any ideas then please let me know.

Better yet, would it be easier to just get rid of ranks and have an understood tier of authority? For example, everyone knows who calls the shots.

PA - hmm while i agree with you on your idea PA. it is rather inconvenient for me considering i've already written a story on Salix and more than a few other things as well. If my characters were to change ranks it would become difficult because i'd then have to change them slightly. also do we all know who came first and in what order already?
