There are probably a lot of horror films like that, but they're so bad the horror fans reject them and never speak of them.

No, no, no, I was talking about the themes in the movie. Videodrome was a good movie. I loved it. But the movie was essentially asking it's viewers "how screwed up are you that you enjoy watching people die in brutal ways?" So, that's how it made me ashamed to be a horror fan - it made me feel like a bad person. But then I realized that I don't care. lol It's all true, though. Horror fans tend to pride themselves in how desensitized they are and what they can watch without getting an emotional reaction. But if we're gonna talk about horror films that make me ashamed to be a horror fan because they're awful movies, one name comes to mind - A Serbian Film. I honestly think the creator of A Serbian Film should be locked up. It gives us horror fans a reaaaaaaaaal bad name. I can't even give an overview of the plot because it's against my moral standards. lol I am gonna punch the guy who tricked me into watching it. But other than that, most horror films are cheesy and bad, but I can usually respect what they were trying to accomplish. lol

It's funny because Videodrome came out decades before Saw, but the whole thing in the movie was like "In the future, people are going to be so sick that they just watch a movie with a person in an empty room just being tortured the entire time without any plot" and I just thought "hmmm...Saw?" Hahaha

You respect me? How? Lol. I just take pride in knowing that I do HAVE a line. I admit, that I watch some sick ish, but I literally threw my laptop after watching A Serbian Film and I figured "okay, this is good, I'm not completely depraved" hahaha.

(2) I don't carry a purse that big, but I would probably do that.
(3) Even if I don't pay, it's still expensive for the person paying.
(4) Usually I don't care. But it'd be nice to go with someone who isn't related to me.

I could never go to a horror movie with a guy. I wouldn't be scared. I'd be laughing. And then I'd see him looking all disappointed that I am not clinging to him, and then I'd bury my face in his leather jacket, just to make him happy. And then I'd just laugh and say, "I am no good at pretending to be scared, but I will make out with you through the rest of this crappy horror film".

How is this movie not a tearjerker, yet "just enough to get her tears going"? And yes...Southern Belles are the best. Hands down.
