Zack and Aerith are dead. However, in Advent Children, they both reach out to 'speak' to Cloud from the Lifestream. He then sees them both for several moments.

But lifestream is distinctive to the FFVII and Crisis Core story but not KH.

No one said to literally have them speak up from the Lifestream in KH. But something along the lines of, oh iono,
