-chapter one- the beginning.

It was midnight as I strolled along the shallow waters. My bare feet chilled in the ocean's water. A small shadow moved at my side. I spun around to face nothing. I chuckled to myself, '' I must've seen nothing, again.'' I continued to walk , hands in my hoodie pocket. I inhaled deeply, tasting the salty ocean air. I tried clearing my mind out, and replaced it with the deep peace of the ocean murmuring. My eye caught a shadow. I turned just in time to see a small black creature rush towards my leg. I gasped in surprise, and growled , kicking it in the head. It screamed as it hit the ground, sending sand flying in the air. Most of it hit me. I rubbed a hand across my eyes quickly, and it stood on two legs. It made a weird sound, calling other shadows. Little round creatures like the first , appeared from everywere. Cursing under my breath, I picked up a few stones and started chucking them at the pests. I sucessfully hit the first, but missed several. I dropped half my rocks, and started to run. One shadow rammed into the back of my knee, and I stumbled, but kept running. I dug in my heels as i ran, in an attempt to blind them with sand. No luck. A shadow grabbed my ankle ,and I fell onto the ocean's edge. They just covered me, and I could see nothing. I then felt a claw go into my chest. I gasped sharply. The creatures crawled of my limp body, and I saw a pink glowing heart in ones hand. 'is that....?'. It let it go as it scurried off,and i watched float away over my head. A warm tear slid down my cheek,then fell into the cold water. I took a breath , then passed out, my long hair half flowing in the water.

Three cloaked young men arrived in a dark portal, just in time to see a young woman's pale body slip into the ocean. One of the men sprinted into the waters, wind blowing back his hood to reveal his blonde mohawk-like hair and blue eyes. The tallest man gasped softly. The young man was an excellent swimmer,and bolted expertly through the water, but the girl's body was sinking too fast. He imagined the water rising rapidly,and saw her coming towards him, hair covering her face. He wrapped his arms around her small waist, and shot up towards the surface. The shortest guy ran to him, and he placed the girl down gently. The tallest man pat the savior's back, ''Way to go Demyx!'' Demyx looked up and said,'' Yeah'', and looked at the girl. Taking off his glove, he carefully pushed aside the girl's dark hair, exposing a delicate porcelains face. He froze, shocked. The shortest one exclaimed,''Demyx! she's not breathing!'' The tallest man flipped back his hood,and revealed his bright spiked,red hair,green eyes, and markings under his eyes. He pushed aside the short one,and knelt beside her. ''Axel!'' he protested. The redhead replied, ''sorry, no time Roxas.'' When Roxas hit the ground, his hood slipped off. His deep blue eyes searched the girls wrist, and ran a free hand through his spiked,blonde hair. He wrapped a thumb around her wrist. ''No pulse?'' Demyx asked. ''N-no......'' Roxas whispered. Axel placed his head onto her chest , and listened. ''Demyx! try CPR!'' Axel shouted. Demyx looked a little scared, and balled his fists,and pushed rhythmically onto her diaphragm. He then listened to her lungs. Nothing. He tried again. Still Nothing. Roxas was getting panicked. ''Demyx! We have no choice! Try mouth to mouth!'' Demyx's head shot up, eyes wide, ''W-what?! Me?! Why not you?!'' Axel cursed, ''JUST DO IT!'' Demyx took a shakey breath, then pinched her nose. He whimpered, then put his mouth on hers, and blew in. Axel stared intently at her face, hoping to see a breath,''C'mon..c'mon.....'' Demyx took a breath and tried again. Right when he pulled away, the girl coughed softly, but didn't open her eyes. Axel listened, ''She's breathing!'' Demyx placed his fingers on her throat, ''Still no pulse, but she's breathing.'' Roxas blue eyes grew wide, ''Does that mean she's a....a...'' Axel finished his sentence. ''Yeah...A Nobody. Like us.''

i know, i couldnt wait, so here's chapter 2. [whoever gives a hoot]

Roxas propped her head onto his lap. Her body shook violently. '' Axel! Give her your coat!'' Axel grumbled, but warmed his jacket, zipped ot off, and handed it to him. Roxas nodded and wrapped her in it. ''We should take her back.'' Roxas said, and attempted to life her, but wasn't quit able. Demyx shot up, '' I'll carry her!'' Roxas smiled,''Thanks Dem, but you're wet too. Axel, why don't you carry her? You can keep her warm.'' Axel looked down at the girl's furrowed brow, and bluish, shaking body. This softened him a little. '' Okaaay.'' He strode over, and picked her up bridal style, increasing his body heat. ''But what will we tell the boss?'' Roxas scratched his head a bit,''Let's just keep her hidden for a while, until one of us comes up with any bright ideas.'' Demyx, not taking his eyes off the girl said, ''Yeah. A secret.'' A small, silly smile slip across his lips.

Roxas' head popped around the corner. When he saw no one, he made a waving motion with his hand, and Axel followed with Demyx close behind. They crept into Axel's room, and Axel set the girl down on the red and black silk bed. He commanded the fireplace to light with his eyes. Demyx brought some red fleece blankets from the drawer, and set them down on the bed. Lower lip trembling from being wet and cold, he took Axel's uniform of off her very carefully with a shaking hand. Roxas commented bluntly, ''Wow. She's really pretty.'' Demyx stood silent and put a few towels and a big blanket on her. He stood for a while, just staring at her pale face, and slightly parted lips. 'At least her lips are pink...' ,he thought, and grew a little red while looking at them. ''Dem! You're just as cold as she is! Go take a hot shower or something.'' Roxas said. The spell was broken, and he looked up,'' But I wanna see her when she wakes up! and make sure she's alright!'' Demyx protested, and Axel chuckled, ''It's okay. heh. she'll still be here when you get back! Just use a portal, so no one sees you all wet.'' Demyx replied, '' Ok. I'll be back!'' He disappeared. Axel laughed a little,''Haha! I've never seen him like that!'' Roxas stared at the girl, ''Y-yeah...'' Axel threw his hands up, ''Oh Roxaaas! Don't tell me you love her too! Although I don't blame you...'' Roxas looked up, ''No! She just looks really familiar...''

Demyx ran into the shower, almost slipping as he went. He stood there for about two minutes, rubbing his hair. He threw the switch off, grabbed a towel, and got dressed very quickly. Suddenly, a thought appeared in his head, 'MY HAIR' He zipped up his jacket while running back into the bathroom. He pulled out some blue gel, and worked it into his hair, while taking deep breaths to look calm. With one last spike, he washed the goop off his hands, and then pulled his boots on. He portalled himself into the kitchen,and grabbed some food and a bottled water. Clutching the items, he spun around and bumped into a taller man with an eye patch. ''Xigbar!'' Demyx exclaimed. Xigbar chuckled and pointed to the food, ''Midnight munchies, Demmy?'' Demyx replies nervously, ''Y-yeah! So starved!'' He lifted the water, ''And thirsty!'' Xigbar gave a questioning look, ''It's alright! I came for food too.'' Demyx crept away,'' Uh, well good luck with that! Goodnight!'' He heard Xigbar rifle through the fridge, then portalled himself.

Axel pressed his hand on the girl's forehead, and stated, ''Well, she's all warmed up!'' Roxas smiled and took the blanket and towels off. ''Here'' Roxas said, giving Axel the wet towels, ''Go put these in your hamper.'' Axel muttered under his breath, ''sure, nurse roxas......'' He brought back more towels, and Roxas wrapped her up again. He heard a portal, and spun around on his heel. Demyx exclaimed,''Is she awake?! Is she healthy! Is she...?!'' Axel cut him off, ''Relax. she's just fine.' Demyx's shoulders slumped, relieved. ''Oh! I brought her some stuff in case she was hungry.'' Roxas grinned, ''Good thinking, Dem!'' Demyx got a little red and set the food beside her on the night table. He hovered a little, and rubbed her cheek softly. Axel yawned, and stretched. ''Well! now that it's 2 am, can we please go to sleep?'' Demyx looked a little worried, ''But who'll look after her?'' Axel looked tired and cranky'' *sigh* I will! alright?'' Demyx had a determined look in his eyes. ''No, I will.'' Axel raised a brow,'' Fine. whatever.'' Demyx flashed a super big grin. ''Umm...you want your stuff back?'' Axel was already lying at the foot of his bed. ''Keep 'em'' His mouth muffled in the duvet. Demyx snickered a bit, and picked her up gently, as if she were made of glass. Roxas picked up the food, and followed him into the portal, leaving Axel already snoring in his bed. Demyx put her down on his blue bed after Roxas left. Demyx took of Axel's stuff, and made a portal big enough for his hand, and dumped the wet things in the redhead's tub. She was just a little damp, so he only put a few blue towels on her, before wrapping her up in his favorite blanket. He made sure she was ok, before checking his hair, and running quietly giddy to get a blanket and extra pillow, so he could sleep on the floor. He watched her breathing for about half an hour, before falling asleep.

Demyx rolled over, and mumbled in his sleep,'' Givit back.......Axel........'' His eyes popped open and saw it was still dark outside. He got up a little wobbly, and looked over at her. She mumbled, ''....help...me...were are you........I'm scared....'' A tear slid down her face, and Demyx got a little chocked up. HE sniffled quietly, and went back to his make-shift bed. Before he fell asleep, he thought, ''what a beautiful voice...''
