Rep Power: 2 ![]() | ((Author's Notes: This story takes place one year before Kingdom Hearts and stretches to about three years after Kingdom Hearts 2. I'm determined to actually finish this story so if you see that i haven't made an entry in a week or so, send me a virtual slap. Though I will be going to vacation in a few weeks so...Enjoy!)) ((Pre-Chapter: The Crossroads)) "Xekim... Xekim..." "Who's there." "You must get up Xekim, Or you will fade. Get up!" Xekim opened his eyes and got up. He was in the middle of a crossroad. He didn't really know how he got there. He was asleep one moment and then he was here, and where was that voice coming from. He looked around and then he heard a voice. "You must choose your road, but move quickly, the darkness is coming." Xekim looked behind him and saw a road leading to a dark, starless horizon. He felt an evil presence at the end of it and it was calling out to him silently. Drawing him in. Xekim turned away from the road and looked at the road to his left. It was a confused sky. It seemed to be undecided whether it should be night or day. It seemed to be leaning towards the Darkened Horizon, but not quite being there. He looked to his right. A bright, yet still confused sky. It was like dawn, and yet, it wasn't going towards any specific path. It was a line to the between. The pure Betwixt. The Xekim looked straight ahead of himself and saw a bright path, to a place of hope and pure goodness. "Choose!" His eyes widened at the urgency of the voice. He he looked at the Betwixt road and ran down it. Then the other four roads vanished and then there was a blackness following him on the outside of the path. It seemed determined to seize him. He saw a hallway of gray light ahead of him, but the darkness did too. It finally decided to go onto the road. Xekim ran faster, at his limit. He jumped into the doorway with the darkness inches away from his and when he did he.... ((Chapter One: Kingdom Of the Heart.)) Xekim woke up from one of the weirdest dreams he'd ever had. In-fact it was; it was so much more real than any other dream he'd ever had. Xekim got out of his bad and made it really fast. It was in the middle of summer vacation and his brother and a few friends were working with him outside everyday, purchasing cans of soda and several food products, searching the forest near the edge of town, and gathering fire wood. They were going to go camping for a few days and needed Xekim so they could get the few remaining supplies. Those being a tent, seven flashlights, Toiletries, and anything else they could think of. Xekim rummaged around in his drawers and got out his favorite black shirt and jacket. He pulled on a pair of black jeans and then examined himself in the mirror a bit. He looked no different, and yet he felt strange. He had a bad feeling and he knew that he wasn't imagining it. "Xekim, get your lazy but out here." Said Xekim's brother from the outside of his house. Xekim looked out of the window of his room and saw his brother and three of his friends outside. Xekim's brother, Zachery was a bit of a book worm. He wasn't nerdy, far from it but, he still is a book worm. Xekim sometime found Zachery reading Fiction novels for hours at a time. It was an odd habit, but Xekim read books almost as much as he did so he didn't say anything. Other than that Zachery was pretty normal. He has short, blond hair and he wears a variety of blues and greens. Zachery hated wearing black and Xekim wore nothing but black and so that's their biggest difference. Xekim has Short while hair and wears all black. Xekim left his room and went down stairs. His mom was still asleep. He smiled and left the house. He joined the crowd of people and then headed towards the forest. The trees were visible all the way from the other edge of town. Getting close to them made you feel so small. They were strong and they had beautiful green and purple leaves. Xekim and the others got to a clearing far into the forest. The trees were so thick around that you couldn't see the town. Xekims friends were looking around and then Xekim heard a scream. Xekim turned around to see one of is friend Satting back on the ground with a scared expression. Xekim ran over to him. "what happened!" "This black thing just jumped out at me!" Suddenly there was a commotion behind some bushed near them. Then a small black, antennae thing jumped at Xekim, but Xekim moved out of the way. Xekim's friends ran into the forest towards the town. Xekim and Zachery soon followed. Xekim soon found himself lost. He kept running and ended up in the darkest part of the forest. There he saw an enormous tree. Bigger than all the others. It's leaves were deepest black and in the trunk was a hole. It was shaped like an old-fashioned lock. He examined it and then six of the small black things appeared. He backed up against the tree as they got closer. He knew this was it. He had to make a stand or die. He picked up a stick near by and held it in a good position to attack. "Give me your best shot!" One of the dark creatures jumped at him and he ducked out of the way. He swung the stick...but it just went through it. He did it again and nothing happened. Another dark creature jumped Xekim from behind and then he felt claws cutting into his back. Xekim screamed and felt to his knees, his eyes closed with the pain. When he opened his eyes, he found himself standing in that cross road again. He saw the roads didn't keep going this time. There were strange key shaped weapons on pedestals. There was one in each path. One was a Key-blade with a yellow/gold handle and a silver blade. One was it's polar opposite, it was a while/silver handle with a golden blade. Then there was one that looked like a bat winged scimitar. The last one was like the first two, but the handle was Pure white with a black blade. It was in the betwixt direction he chose before and so he decided to take that one. He heard a voice in his ear that said "Kingdom of the Heart. That's the weapons name. It's not complete, but it will save you." Xekim came back to reality and then swung the Kingdom of the Heart blade at one of the Dark Creatures. It vanished in a cloud of smoke. Xekim smiled and attacked the others the same way until he was alone again. He looked at the tree one more time before running as fast as he could away from that spot. He made it back to town after a while and his friends were probably back their houses. Xekim got back into his house and saw and heard no one. He looked around until he got to his kitchen. He saw a note on the fridge and it looked like it was written rather fast. Xekim, some thing's wrong with mom. I got home and found her unconscious on the floor. Her eyes were all funny and she was breathing in a raspy way. I took her to the medics to see if they could do anything. Hurry up and get to the hospital. - Zachery Xekim ran out the door and down the street. The hospital was in sight and he burst through the hospital doors. Mom, please be alright. He asked what room she was in and they told him she was in room D45. He finally got to the right room and then opened the door slowly... ((Authors Notes, Day 2: Well, Just as a bit of a recap, this is sorta like what happened to sora and roxas, but not exactly. As you can tell they Xekim visited the crossroads in stead of the Station of serenity and so forth and also, he wasn't made to pick of the three weapons: Sword, Shield, and Staff. Technically he got the key blade for the crossroad that's mentioned least in the series, It Known as Kingdom of the Heart because it's much like the power that binds the others together. One that doesn't reside in any one plane or power. )) ((Chapter One: Part Two.)) His mother was lying on the hospital bed, pale. Very pale. Her eyes were not clear, as if they were blurred. For some reason she could see him. "Mom, mom it's me." "X-Xekim...thank you for coming." She coughed hard and then lie back breathing hard. Xekim went to hold her hands and she smiled a weak smile. "I never thought I would get the same sickness your father did...before he..." "don't say that, you're not going to die!" "I'm sorry Xekim, but it's inevitable at this point." Xekim wasn't going to believe it. He stepped back. "Xekim, you're a strong boy, and so is your brother. I wish i didn't have to leave you boys alone, but i know you can take care of your selves. You're brave and he people in town know you. They will help you." Zachery just sat the with a sorrowful expression on his face. "Now i want you boys to go home now." "No!, why should we leave you all alone here!?" Xekim's mother sighed. "I don't want you boys to seem in such bad shape, check on my the next time you get the chance." Xekim and Zachery looked at each other and then nodded. They both kissed their mom goodnight and left for home. Xekim was near tears on the walk back. Zachery was in tears, but defiantly looking forward, trying to look calm, but failing at it badly. When they got home it was dark and quiet. Xekim hadn't really believed that they would see their mother again. He got into his bed and put his head faced down on the pillow. He had thoughts rushing trough his head and then soon enough he fell asleep. His sleep was disturbed with voices. They were familiar and they were talking about him. "He's getting to close to the light, he's not ready." Said a female Voice. "The darkness almost has a hold on him and it's going to be hard to get him back if he is taken." "Did we make a mistake in choosing him." said a voice like an old man's. "No," Said a young and strong voice. "They said that in the end he would be the one, we just need to have faith." The voices faded and he woke up. He went out into the hallway and saw Zachery's door was open. He went towards Zachary's door and his brother was no where in sight. Xekim ran down stairs three steps at a time nearly tripping on the last three and saw the front door unlocked. He looked around and saw the phone off the charger. He picked up the phone and checked the messages. There was one message from the hospital on the phone. It was urgent and it said that his mother was in critical condition. The thing that worried him was that the message came about an hour ago. He walked out the door and locked it behind him. He ran down the street for what seemed the hundredth time and got to the hospital door and he ran all the way up to the room and saw Zachery sitting there holding his mothers hand, crying. Xekim dropped to his knees upon seeing his mother's lifeless eyes and it was all over. She was gone, Xekim and his brother were alone. ((Chapter Two coming soon.)) Rep Power: 2 ![]() | ((Chapter 2: Shining Intervention.)) Xekim stood next to the now empty hospital bed the next day. He slept at the hospital over night, he could bare to leave her. Zachery left a while before Xekim and when Xekim got home he found Zachery crying in the corner of his room. Xekim comforted him, he told him it would be alright. Zachery wasn't buying it. He shook Xekim off and resumed crying. Xekim stood up angrily. "if you want to cry your life away, then go ahead!" Xekim's anger wasn't really logical. He was sad and had no other outlet. he would like nothing more than to stomp around in fury, break things and maybe punch a hole in the wall, but he didn't and he didn't know why not. He walked into his room and sank to his knees. He decided that in here, it was alright to cry. That it was alright to show some weakness. He didn't know how long he was there. The crying was interrupted. As smooth and beautiful voice came from the dark corners of the room. It soothed his mind and seduced him into listening. "At last Xekim Lysander, you will come with me. Follow me into the darkness and I can make the pain go away." Xekim felt an invisible hand wipe his tears and hold his hand. The hand was cold and yet relaxing him. He closed his eyes and then felt the same evil feeling he felt the other day, when he was looking the starless sky in the dark crossroad. He opened his eyes and realized his was no longer at his house, but on a moonlit beach. There were arches of stone and glowing stones with black and blue symbols in them. The ocean in front of his was glassy black, almost like liquid obsidian. He walked in it and the water felt nice, but dark. "Welcome to the realm of darkness Xekim Lysander, feel the thoughts of sorrow pour out of you. Now look into the water Xekim and look upon the power you will receive." The Soothing voice said, much louder and clearer here than in his room. It sounded less beautiful here though. Xekim's Kingdom of the Heart Key appeared and reacted strongly to the thing rising out of the ocean's glassy water. He walked forward and saw a black keyblade appear. (Picture will be here soon) It was surrounded in an aura of of darkness that seemed to be like a black hole drawing him closer. "Take the blade and sink into peace. Take the Death of the Heart and embrace the darkness." Xekim walked up to it. In hopes of stopping all of this pain he grabbed the handle. It came out of the stone and he felt the darkness flowing through him. Then suddenly heartless appeared all round him, and not the tiny one that were in the woods, larger ones, they were like the adult form of those he saw before. Suddenly one came trying to punch him with a fist covered in darkness. Xekim jumped back and killed a couple of the with his new keyblade and then killed the other with his other keyblade. He held both keyblades and then all of a sudden this place vanished and was replaced by a dark abyss. The Death of the heart keyblade began to vibrate and burn Xekim's hand. Xekim screamed out in pain. He made the other keyblade vanish and tried to pull it out of his hand, but it was stuck. Suddenly, he felt his life being drained. His soul was being pulled from him. The Darkness of the abyss below was rising up and covering him. He was crying again, but this time from actually pain. He wished he'd been nicer to his brother before this, and that he'd not been so stupid as to take up this offer. The darkness covered his eyes and then he was soon blinded by the darkness. He was almost gone, when a voice, a familiar female voice spoke, "No Xekim, you are not destined to sink into oblivion, your light has not even begun to shine." Xekim then was blinded, but this time by a golden/white light. He reached up and then the darkness was cut away. It shrunk back in fear of the brightest of lights and then Xekim was back in his bed room. He looked into his hand and gasped. he had the Death of the Heart keyblade still. He put it down and sped away from it before noticing that the Kingdom of the Heart Keyblade was replaced, by a white, lighter version of the Death of the Heart. The Femaile voice spoke out of nowhere. "You have been given the Birth of the Heart, to balance out the darkness in your heart and soul. The events that have taken place have tainted you child, and for that, this may be the last time we speak, for a very long time. When you're purified then we will communicate, but till then, you must set out on your journey. You must search for a girl. Her name is Tiera. She is young and has great power, she may be of use to you. However," she said, her voice stern "Don't let her into your mind or your heart. She will break them, and you if she is given the chance." Xekim nodded, feeling his power. It was greater than ever, and yet, and greater burden. "good bye Xekim Lysander, protect your brother, and I wish you luck on your voyage." The voice began to fade. Xekim stood up looked around defiantly, and then began to pack. Pack for a journey that would extend over many years. ((chapter 3 will be out soon.)) |

This i just added about five minutes ago, but thanks for the criticism and compliment. Is there any advice you could give me? Last edited by )-(The Anomaly)-(; 07/03/07 at 04:52 AM. |

| VOTE FOR HOKAGE | Hmm... First off, did you make templates for every character? Second, brainstorming is something that helps out alot. Sit alone in your room with electronics off and just write down whatever comes to you that you could use in your story. Third, type in Microsoft Word or some other word processor. Thats helps out a ton with grammar and spelling. Fourth and finally (for now, unless you ask for more, which I would be more than happy to give) have a Thesaurus with you as you write. if you come across an overused word in your fic before you edit it or post it, look it up in the Thesaurus to see if there is a more intelligent word for example. There was a chilly wind. Instead of that, you could say. There was a breezy zephyr. Zephyr is another word for wind, normally coming in form the west. Hope that helped. And PS, have fun writing it. If you would like more, just ask. As I said, always happy to give tips to fanfic writers. |

| VOTE FOR HOKAGE | Well, you know that character profile we had to fill out in that Pokemon RP Every Heart started? Well, that is the same as a template. It includes, appearance, bio, name, description, personality, likes, dislikes, pretty much everything. For appearance, though, i recommend drawing a sketch of the character to get that character clear in your mind. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | pretty much everything. The appearence stay generally the same, but i have to make five more Templates for the main character Xekim, One for the major changes that take place at the end of each Part of the story. Right now i'm planning five or six parts and all i have is his template for the fourth or fifth part of the story. I'm not going to say much more cause i don;t want to reveal too much of my story. No more than the outline. |
