Alright see here is my problem:

I have been seeing this girl for a few weeks now, and its going great, we both like each other a lot, and the more time we spend together the more we grow towards each other. Everything seems almost too good to be true, and it is. See there is a few things that get in the way of us publicly dating. One she lives about 2 hours away from me. Two, her ex is still in "contact" with her, and that makes things hard. And the last thing is my sister, cause you see they are best friends, and 9 out of 10 there is a chance that there is a sign of awkwardness and that proves to be a bad thing. You see, my sister is i guess really judgmental about who she dates. My sister basically can be really ugly and mean if she found out what her best friend and I do behind her back.

So i am just looking for guidence, should i stay with her and try to make it work, or should i let her go..which i dont want to , but still.

WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?!?!

Ever since I've started classes one of my closest friends has been acting weird around me, she's been recently blushing whenever she sees me, won't stop staring at me during French class, talks to me nervously and whenever I call her through the phone she keeps on giggling!:dizzy:
I asked her what was going on and she responded to me stating that she heard a funny joke but she's obviously making it up.
Am I missing something what do you guys think is going on and what would you recommend that I do?! :confused:

My Life is going downhill

Exactly as it says on the title, my life is going downhill, ever since I basically dropped out of a class for bad attendance I couldn't go back into the school until I pay for that class but I don't have the money for it. I tried looking for a jobs but I am sure if I qualify for some of them because I never held or needed a job, I cannot drive anywhere because I don't even have a license and I basically suck outside the internet. All I need is to get back into school again but whwere I am going to find $600? I tried grants but I don't where to look or where to turn to but I also signed applications to fast food resterants or some retail stores but they are full because of the holidays. I hate the economy and I hate not having money or control and my parents calling me lazy makes it worse tahn better. What can I do? Where should I turn to?

...I'm not sure if this is the right section...

So recently my intwebz has been acting up to a couple of sites (deviantart, photobucket... most sites that involve photo uploading i guess). By acting up i mean that the css isn't really working.

At first i didn't really mind as the problem stopped for awhile, but it started again and then it's been 3 days and it still hasn't been fixed.

THINGS I HAVE TRIED SO FAR:
ctrl+f5
clearing cache
re-installing
switching browsers

i'm pretty sure it isn't a problem with the server as 2 completely different sites have the exact same problem.

i can still see pictures, the problem is the fact that i can't upload anything. (if i could i'd be fine with it.)

i have taken note that it might be problems with the internet provider, but i'm not sure if i should contact them just yet. (if it ends up inconclusive by Friday, I'll probably contact them.)

SO. any thoughts on how i should fix this?

I really have no clue what to do.

Here's the problem. I go to College and we get like a Debit/Credit Card and I worked all summer to fill it up. After some spending, I ended up with 500-600 bucks. After a night in the city, I had 500.

Here's when the problem started. I checked my balance one day and it read $134. I hadn't touched it since the night the city. So we're talkin Early October to late October-early November. So, I thought to myself, no way I spent all this money. So I call the card people to see if they made a mistake, so I explained that I didn't spend this money. So, they told me report the crad lost so that I'd get a new one and the old card would be deactivated. So I did.

Then it happened. Me and my roommate had a talk. We're mad close and good friends. He told me he spent the money. I guess it happened while I was asleep, wasn't in the room, or something. But he spent it. I was cool with my friend, but pissed because he spent money I worked so hard for.

So, when my Mom asked to see my balance and saw, I told her I lost my original card and had to order a new one and told her someone spent my money.

I almost have nothing. What should I do?

Is this wrong?

Okay so i realised a while ago that im not really attracted to my own race. All of my friends will be talking about how cute all these different black guys are but i dont see it. I dont see any of it, but i see it when i see a white or asain guy. I feel weird for feeling this way at all. Im pretty sure my friends wouldnt care but im not to sure how my parents would feel if i bought an asain or white boyfriend home. I mean dont get me wrong. My parents are very open to different coultures (my mom espicially). In fact, my best friends are asain. But its different when you bring that person home as your boyfriend or fiance. uhggggg!!!! Im so confused. Is this wrong or what?

As this doesn't seem to really fit in anywhere else, here's hoping this is the right section.

I need a HUGE sample of people ( or, at least, it would be very helpful to have a big sample ). And not just one age/gender group, I need a wide variety. Now, I know this isn't really the best place to do this, but it's the only place I know.

Stroop Effect

Read the directions, take the test, and post your results. Only age and gender is absolutely NEEDED TO BE KNOWN TO ME. PM me if you don't feel like posting/showing your age, gender, or results in plain sight of others. For those of you wondering, I am conducting a test on the Stroop Effect* to see if age and gender have an effect.

*Don't know what the Stroop Effect is? Basically put, it's where the two sides of your brain are giving you conflicting information ( in this case, the left is telling you what the word is, the right tells you what the color of the ink the word is written in is ) and can often be used to see how stressed/distracted/etc. you are. Some of you have probably seen this in school before. If you want a more through explaination, Google it. I'm merely here to tell you the basics of what I want you to do.

Don't worry, the first test is supposed to have text and the color the text is in be the same. It's just as important as the second part, which is the one that shows words in a different color ink. If you feel like being generous, you can add a screenshot of your results or giving me the difference between two times, but it isn't needed. All I need is the time and on which test and age and gender.

I CANNOT EXPRESS ENOUGH TO YOU TO PLEASE NOT LIE. Perhaps you don't trust/know me, and that's fine, but after this thread is dead, PM's are deleted, and all written/printed papers with everyone's result, age, and gender are shredded or burned, I'll completely forget. ( Hell, I'd have forgotten far before then. ) And I'm not even writing down usernames.

You don't have to do this if you don't want to, I'm not going to pressure you, harrass you, or otherwise try to convince you to do it. It's completely your option.

It's baffling my mind help me?

Manchester Metropolitan University - French Studies
University of Manchester - French Studies (4 years)
Salford University - Modern Languages and Translation & Interpreting [French/Italian]
Lancaster University - French Studies

Those are my applications to go to university in 2010. My final application was sent off on Nov 13 2009 and I received a letter on Friday from UCLAN, saying they have acknowledged my application and will soon be making offers. I want to know to those who have applied to universities in England using UCAS, how long it usually takes for acknowledgements to come in? And when offers are made? A few of my friends have had acknowledgements and some even have conditional offers, but does that depend on the university? If you could help, I'd be grateful.

I have a sister who tells on me for just about anything and my dad always believes her then he quickly tells my mother causing her to get mad at me.

It all started a few days ago when my dad told me to clean the mircowave as I was washing the dishes. I got mad because he never tells my sister to do it when its her turn to wash dishes, that he gets mad at me saying that I don't like doing chores. Then just yesterday as I get home from school I start on the dishes and get a call from my mom who starts fussing about chores and getting a job. My dad tells me to act my age when I go to tell him about my sister who is 12 going on 13 but when she tells on me, he goes WW3 without giving me a chance to explain myself. Same with my mom minus the sister part, she seems to believe everything my dad tells her without me telling my side of the story.

Should I post my original story and would any one read it?

Okay first of all I don't want to get introuble, i didn't wan to post this in fan-fic section as... its original but I'm just asking if i should post it. It's a modern day Japanese love story with mystery and most probably action. I started writing two days ago and its starting to take a nice shape. Plus i don't knwo if any one would read it. On a total different note as you can all see i FINALLY found where you can make new threads *facepalms*. Kk leave feedback and take the poll please! :)

what the question is asking.

well..she's hyped about how she wants to believe that the guy likes her.. but the guy's guy friends told her he liked another girl. but other people told her that he does like her, but those people where completely random..but they know both the girl and boy.

but im pretty good friends with the guy. his best friend and i are friends, and when i saw my friend[girl] and the guy she likes in the same area, i wanted them to like, at least interact, but his[guy she likes] best friend told me that he doesn't like her... i was...disappointed. when i asked who he[guy my friend likes] likes, he[guys best friend/myfriend] told me he likes this other girl...[i didn't really ask for a name or anything, but he just said, "she's not in the room. oh wait now she is[some girl came in and out and it was her, i reconfirmed it with him]"] i don't really know the girl or anything, heck i don't even remember who she was.

well anyways.

she's getting her hopes up.

her other friend keeps telling her that she shouldn't get her hopes up. [i think she knows that he doesn't like her back,but them two are like best friends[the girls] so im sure she doesn't want to tell her...at least not yet]. but she told me[fiend who likes the guy] that she wants to believe he likes her maybe and all that. she knows that the other friend doesn't want her to get her hopes up and all.

im pretty sure that the guy and the guy's friends know that she likes him though;

i know she really cares for him and all, iv witnessed it several times.

either way her feelings are going to get hurt, i know. iv asked what she would do if he doesn't like her, she said that she would just stop trying to like him... obviously she will still like him a little bit.

baw. any help on how to break it to her..

or well, i don't want to break it to her. he should be the one to do it. i know.

well, at least some ways to prepare her for the breaking...? >~>

Well If ur some kind of people who thinks bad things then dont post bad things in here =O ... well here it goes

I had a bestfriend since my childhood... we got separated since we were 8 we been writing letters to each other since that time and 8 years has passed... I have my girlfriend and i reallly REALLY love her but this is whats happening... My friend , well he came back, after 8 years... so I have beeing feeling strange about him. he also feels strange about me... Im starting to think that I like him... but My mom thinks that its just brotherhood love nothing else ... but I feel its like LOVE LOVE... so I dunno what to do or say... or even I DONT WANT to break up with my girlfriend... so If anybody knows what to do ... can post =o THANK U!
