A Bond Never To Be Broken

*A Bond, Never To Be Broken*

That gleaming light
So bright
It lightens the sky
Opening a path of truth
To those warriors who so valiantly fight that blood-filled battle
A path that leads them through the black night

They scream for their lost ones
Their brothers in arms

All sing the melody that brought them together
Remembering the family they once knew
The brothers they flew
With, in the hardest of times, even with the hardest news
Even when the hot, dry sun shined down on their bodies
Sweat falling down from their faces, drop by drop
The bonds they shared held them closer then ever
Never letting down, not even for the slightest second

A friendship that will last forever
A bond, never to be broken

The war rages on, they fight with blood, sweat, and tears of the ones they lost
A large pain arises from deep within their bodies
A pain that can never heal, forever bonded to their empty souls
The pain of lost takes over their judgment
The Sky clouded gray, a reflection of their sorrow

Courage in their hearts is the only thing they have to survive today, and live on till tomorrow
A new day will come to give them new hope, and time to mend their sorrows
But still their sorrows will burden every day of their lives, until it can be atoned.
The hearts of many feel for their sorrow, the same pain is felt throughout many

The friendship they all shared, like a family
It starts to crumble as each soul remembers that one day
The one day where they came to meet for the first time
The start of the one thing that held them together
A bond, never to be broken

Is this the world we live in?
Where our children will grow
And we will die?

In the shade of an old oak
Sits a man dressed in white
With a perfect red rose
Nestled in his mane.
His eyes are bloodshot,
His hands are pale.

His face is flushed,
With bushy white hair.

Father time rests against his chapel,
Watching the world play out below.

He waits among us here
In this desolate place.
For his chance to soak up the sun.

And as the days grow old,
And nighttime blooms,
The darkness that creeps in,
Will light up the room.

Enlighten me, old spectre,
On the truth that you hold,
So dear.

Is this my legacy, as you see fit?

I wander through the scars of worlds not dead.
Through battlements, wreaking of death,
With not a body to be found.
I trek across the sands,
As they tear flesh from bone,
And hear the agony of humanity,
Screaming through a microphone.

Through music we hear stories,
Of torn worlds and colliding dreams.

Of children laughing, children playing,
Of politics and greed.

And in the dark we lie in wait,
For the new day to unfold.

We'll start the day all over again,
And watch it fall once more.

So I'll ask again.

Is this my legacy?

He answers solemnly,
With a gentle nod.
His silence remains unbroken.
My frustrations grow, they're paramount,
I need something more.

In anger, I turn to walk away,
This surreal world flushing down the drain.

And as my eyes breach this world where we reside,
He stands before me and says;

It is through death,
That we feel remorse.
It is through hate and hurt,
That we feel love.
It is through loving,
That we feel destruction.
And when you see something beautiful,
You must destroy it.
Because beauty is the fire,
In the mind's eye,
That sets ablaze the dreams of this world.

Through chaos, feel deliverence.
Through fire, fear ice.
Through death, grow stronger.

Deliver to this world your own epitaph.
Tell them ALL your story,
As YOU see fit.

For we all,
Are the avatars of our own divine.
Our own existence.

The twisting torment of reality,
That wrenches from us our sanity,
That destroys our lives,
And delivers us from anonymity.....

Is this same reality that holds us....

Binds us....

Creates us....

And nestles us in the eyes,
Of the ever watching sun gaze.

What are you searching for?
What is you want, child?

Do you seek love?
Do you seek happiness?

DAMN LOVE!
DAMN HAPPINESS!

IT IS IN THE FIRES OF CHAOS THAT YOU WERE BRED!
AND IT WILL BE IN THOSE SAME FIRES THAT YOU WILL DIE!

And what once was....

Will become nothing...

Back into obscurity we will settle....

Our moment to shine long gone....

And all you ever asked for was someone to smile at you.....
Someone to hold onto....

To make whole once more your broken pieces,
With the beauty of this world.
And the image of what TRUE love is.

Do not seek it.
I warn you.
It will destroy you,
Long before your time.

So tell me.
Young soldier.
What have YOU learned today?

This world is dead.
And so am I.

Waste Not This Life So Perfectly Aligned

To walk upon the shores of life,
And live along the edges of a world that is blind,
Is ere comparable to living,
Miles from your own spotlight.
Waste not the days you are given,
All is not right in this world beneath heaven.

He was a boy,
She was a girl.
Some told them they could never be.

He loved her, she loved him,
Their eyes were met without dispute.
She was his world; he’d tear open the skies for her,
Stare death in the face, and fight back time.
To the edges of life the pressure was put,
Upon his own conscience to perfect her world.
His heart would bleed into her,
Hands so warm and loving,
And with this conviction he lived
Without looking back,
To think on the love they had.

Blind is the eye that does not see
A smile and a kiss shared between,
Two people in love, a gift uncommon to life.

When his eyes closed that night,
And her beauty was all he could see,
He made himself the promise,
That if his life were to be spent,
It would be with none but she.
Yet in the morn it was darkness that enveloped him,
And a black soul that haunted his face.

His love had vanished,
Her beauty gone from sight.
Ne’er more to see her smile,
Ne’er more to melt upon her gaze.
Ne’er more would he hold her,
And never would he get the second chance to say;
“I love you.”

He searched across the world,
Spent his life on this quest,
To lay to rest the question.

“Where has my love gone?
Why has fate forsaken me?
What desire in this world compels,
Us to stand in the wake of our tears
And allow the world to pass us by,
Blindly walking to our death.
Why?
Where has my love gone?”

Ten years would pass and his search continues.
His heart had bled out on that fateful day,
All hope lost and love abandoned.
Dead inside, the gods would pity him.

“Was it my choices?
Was it my greed?
Were my sins so great,
That you’d steal my heart away from me?

Did I not deserve the chance,
To walk among the souls of forevermore
And ensnare this mortal coil with my life intact?

Why did you take her from me?”

Questions compelled him, to stand once more,
To wander this world of death and of war.
Love is lost to this world,
No appreciation given to what we are shown.
He took her for granted, and so broken was his mind,
Shattered, his heart,
Corrupted, his spirit.
The memories of her crippling his life.

And so he vanished from this earth in the same manner he came.
Loveless, heartless, a shell of a man, without the love of his dear.
The gods HAD forsaken him, and only in death could he see,
There was no reason to the madness,
No cause for his unhappiness,
To fall into the unending night.

Twenty years down the road, a young woman sits solemnly,
Her tears have all dried up,
Her stark red eyes fixed upon a stone.
She lost her love to death that day so many years ago.
She only wished that even in death,
Her beloved would still care for her……

If he only knew,
She wished she could speak these words to him….
And with that dawn we look up to the sky.
We ask the heavens for answers,
We hope and we plead for certainty,
For some immortal hand of God,
To deliver to us our love, and our life.
Begging for our riches and our glory.

And yet through the shadow of the falling dusk,
When all is calm and dead,
And the shadow of the man
Whose God had left him in the cold,
Walks among us like a ghost of forlorn love,
His beloved will be waiting for him,
And the arms of death will seem so much less cold……

They only wished for one more day,
One more glimmering chance to say…..
“I love you.”

Pass your life,
Like a fleeting brigade.
Rush through your days,
And waste your chance to live.
Do what you will with your life,
And your love.
But when you’ve missed your chance,
To say those three words,
Look not back to this world for your grievances.

He still walks this earth,
Mocking your wasteful lives.
So pay him your love,
Forgive him his dues,
And be paid in your own,
Your love’s resting on dove’s wings
Hidden in the pews. ------------- 114

Thistle Down and Rose Thorns

As the thistle ripens
In the new spring breeze,
And the crutches of winter
Collapse around your feet,
Stop amid your drab
And dreary tasks, and take a look about;
At the shimmering dawn,
And dew drops
On pollywogs,
And new seed.
Spring is a new breed.

Through snow falls and sorrows,
Rest your weary head
And wallow in the glory
Of a cold long dead.

Sunlight, so bright
Shining in to break the night.
In its wake new life abounds,
From the smallest creatures
To the greatest of crowns.
All beings wake to see
A land locked in a long gone misery,
And on its wake like a sea
Of angels with harps and wings alight
Is born alive the love of the morn.

So tell me, now
That you’ve cast aside that burden,
What wakened world
Do you long to walk among you now?

The ripened grin
It grows on your face.
I see it now, you’ll not erase
A joy so bright
As the never ending starlight.

You’ll hear their voices,
You’ll know their call.
You’ll feel its wonder
Long before the fall.

And in your passion,
This unbroken connection,
Yield not to this worldly possession.
For all is afloat
In this world of compassion,
And losing one day
To a deadened need for self-compliance,
Will leave any man dead inside.

It grows on your face.
I see it now, you’ll not erase
A joy so bright
As the never ending starlight.

You’ll hear their voices,
You’ll know their call.
You’ll feel its wonder
Long before the fall.

And in your passion,
This unbroken connection,
Yield not to this worldly possession.
For all is afloat
In this world of compassion,
And losing one day
To a deadened need for self-compliance,
Will leave any man dead inside.

Diary Of Jeff Francise

Ok so to begin this whole thing. the entries i'm going to be putting in here is a combination of a story and poetry. its basically a tale of one of my characters with a rhyme scheme lol every once in a while i'm going to post a new entry into the "diary". i really do hope you enjoy because these are not easy at all to write. some of them are gunna be taken from my life, and some will be fabricated or a combination of the two so now i leave you to endulge into the life of "Jeff Francise"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Down The Rabbit Hole"

It all started off so subtle, a favor for a friend,

not that he knew, but thats the duty of wingmen...

So i asked her "Whats up? What's going on between you two?",

she said " I don't know, I'd tell you if i knew"...

We chit chatted for awhile and broke it down to little pieces,

as to "why not?", the "maybe's", just to figure out the reason...

But over the time i was spending trying to help out my fellow man,

something took a hold of me i couldn't fully understand...

A smile would be found where my mouth once was whenever we spoke,

but i'd be lucky to get the words out because whenever i saw her I'd choke...

Overtime when we'd hang out I'd do my best to provide the laughs,

but i realized i was trying to impress her and honestly thats just not who i am...

It only got worst as as the year went on, officially becoming "buds",

sometimes finding myself weak at the knees and doing my best to hold myself up...

Then it grew to embarrassing moments and mostly left speechless,

due to deep brown eyes and sucker punch comments to leave me a mess...

Finally it hit me like the line drive to jason's face in baseball,

I fell for her but i was too caught up in it, i missed the fall....

Oh great the genius gone put himself in another predicament,

and just to think he started all this hoopla in attempts to help a friend...

So what does einstein do now since he knows what he wants?,

A girl who went from "aight" to a "goddess" within a matter of months...

I soon found myself spending all my time arguing with ME, debating,

while the whole time wasting my chance because i was too busy procrastinating...

"Ok what i need to do is go into this with the confidence of muhammid ali,

and just go up to her and flat out ask her "do you have the hots for me?"....

Man what am i saying thats not how you should do,

you need to take her out somewhere nice and show her the real you...

The real me? really? naaaaah i dont think so,

just show her my charming side and see how that goes....

Boy you are crazy, she's not that kinda lady,

but you need to come up with something quick because she isn't gunna keep waiting"...

And i was right. i finally found some common ground with myself,

because if i dont get to her first then i'm sure it'd be someone else....

So to skip the suspense i told her and asked her if the feeling was returned,

and i just waited oh so impatient hoping i wouldn't hear a "no" and get burned....

I come to find out the feeling was mutual, but the moment just wasn't right,

and that i was a great guy and who knows in the future but not tonight...

Usually i like to think back at that moment as "at least i tried",

but if i ever told anyone i wasn't disappointed, i lied...

Here she'll lay now as another chapter in my story and like she'd ever know it,

but lots end up here from the life of your average poet

Hallow's Eve

A dark Hallow's eve, in a moonlit dreary
leaves and twig fragments dance around eerily
At darkest night hours, I creep through the halls
something I heard, seemingly nothing at all

I resume to my work as I ignore my suspicion
yet I hear the sound again throughout my dark kitchen
I rush to the center of the room to find
something queer to my surprise

A piece of black paper rolled up like a scroll
what I saw inside was a tale to be told
Once upon a time, the paper first read
but this was all that the paper had said

I ponder and ponder and come to halt
another noise that I heard, I feel I'm being stalked
I dash from room to room, with a confused look of dread
a scary paranoia has befallen my head

I find a seat at my nearest convenience
this whole situation is nothing short of inconvenient
I hear noise again, but the echo draws closer
it's gets closer, closer, and closer

I jump from my seat with a thick heavy sweat
and I've soon to realize something yet
The scroll that I found, what I thought was a prank
but I'm telling the story, I'm filling in the blanks

I do what I can to escape this wretched sound
but I cannot elude, it begins to surround
I cover my ears with all of my might
I'm scared, too frightened, too coward to fight

My window breaks open from a strong, mighty gale
knocks me off my feet but soon it curtails
I regain my composure and run to the door
it's locked, there's seems no hope anymore

I sprint to my stairs and I find the black paper
still the same sentence, who or what is this caper?
The noise, now a voice, says to look to my wall
I turn around swiftly to find a women in thrall

I cried, she was dead, sripped naked to the bone
screaming with fear, I reach for my phone
my fear and trembling made it hard to call
help, please any help at all

The voice with a grim and goulish long laugh
feeling the sense of death, and hearing a thunderous clash
Feeling reminiscent of Edgar Allen Poe
with the wind whipping violently through my window

I cry, cry with a blood curdling howl
I have no more options, what can I do now?
I clench the black paper that started this night
with no hope of survival in future's sight

I tell death to take me, my time has certainly come
the voice says "wait, I'm not yet done"
The voice stops all the comotion and fear
a whispers a message into my ear

"Take what happened this very night
and turn it into a tale of fright.
You felt the fear and witnessed true terror
it'll make the story that much better"

I paused for a second with a perplexing expression
but also feeling a relieving sensation
I ask the voice " But why, why choose me?"
He responded with "Because this is your story."

Happy Halloween everyone. And let it be...a happy Halloween.

the best way to follow one's heart,
is begin at the thread that keeps it from falling apart,
keep going to pursue what's at the other end,
followed by clues left from dead friends

past loves and every embarrassing memory,
keeps us from falling too far from the tree,
we don't like rock bottom where i come from,
but new lands lead to new hands to hold under new suns

it's simple to say we know how to roll with this love content,
but it's hard to actually know if we've finally found love yet,
such a matter of smiles and woes that never seemed so complex,
back when we were kids when what made our day were simple cheek pecks

so we'll spend all day talking about the trip up,
holding hands and wondering why cupid didn't want to miss us,
and in the mean time we'll just carry arrows in our pockets,
until we find another couple who's seeking answers from the prophets

I write when I need to let loose because I find it as a way to vent my self even if I had a great day. I wrote this one when I realized that my crush never really would see me as an option

----------

A dark haired dream came out from my mind and into the real world
she had grace in the purest essence
I just stared into her eyes, like a dark sunset that laid there

When I went to bade her goodbye at the days end, the twilight sky just made her even lovelier
Then the day would start over again were I would come in talk to my friends and lose my self in here velvet skin
Her voice like a call to safety made me feel secure that there was posibility
But I just could'nt get myself to belive that whet could end up together

The year passed and still was I under her spell
Never more was I intruiged to seek the truth of our future
I quickly became distant from my friends just to find if we were compatible

I went to every party she would go
I accepted the invitations from her friends that never before would I think of fulfilling
The outings of my friends that I Looked forward every week were things I was now avoiding

The days passed and I still thought to my self "I must persevere and eliminate all fears"
Her goodbye hugs made me feel like I had achieved nirvana
Hello kisses were know my reason to wake up

then the day arrived when I arrived to school and there was she with another guy
I saw her wrapped around his arms with a smile on her face that said "here I belong"
I could'nt belive it all my persevearence and positive thinking had blown up in my face

But suddenly I saw back like a person who was about to die
She wanted an edward cullen, I did'nt glow in sunlight
She wanted a gem of them all, I was a dime a dozen

So I went to my friends in search of the confort I did'nt deserve
But they just saíd in the funniest of matters "Shit Happens"
Their support let me know that your true friends are their even if you push them away
Our paintball outings and online poker games became a regular for me again

And after all the time I wasted on a love that the slower I analized it the more I understood that it was imposible.
I still wondered "What if" and im afraid that the question will haunt me till I learn to forget

----------

Lets just say that Im still wondering

So I felt like sharing this little piece I did in my Creative Writing class to see what you guys think. I think it's actually some of my good writing, since my Creative Writing teacher wants me to read it at the Gathering or Poets and Writers that Creative Writing has about every month. Anyway, critiques and such are welcome.

Oh, and my inspiration for this song was Hellfire from Notre Dame. =3

------

Absurd witch, I hope you burn
the way your aroma scalds my skin
the way your eagle eyes used to pierce my heart
conjured me into the hell-fire
scorching; tearing me apart

You’re perched there, Maria
cress-crossed like a distorted tyke
preying off this poor man’s soul
those ruby eyes and raisin hair
making my pith beat savagely
you pulled me in and we danced
through the smoulder, laughing happily
until you buried me in your deviltry

Even nearly half a century
I can still see you sitting there
with the trees, flowers and rivers around
and how you’d hexed my world
drowning me in your fire!
never letting this old flame die
your magic won’t leave me even after all this time,
even after I had singed you
why won’t it be reversed and restore me
so I could leave your blaze reborn a man

Your demon magic won’t release its hold
why can’t it die and rest?
I feel it still on me as you dance around
grinning horrible as you cast your spell
but now it’s time for me to take revenge
as I grab you raisin hair and
force you into your own spell to burn!
And you will burn in this hellfire -
in your cursed camp for putting this minister to shame

Still, you dame witch
your spell won’t leave me alone
even after your spirit has passed on
The burning desire turned me to sin

I think it's actually some of my good writing, since my Creative Writing teacher wants me to read it at the Gathering or Poets and Writers that Creative Writing has about every month. Anyway, critiques and such are welcome.

Oh, and my inspiration for this song was Hellfire from Notre Dame. =3

------

Absurd witch, I hope you burn
the way your aroma scalds my skin
the way your eagle eyes used to pierce my heart
conjured me into the hell-fire
scorching; tearing me apart

You’re perched there, Maria
cress-crossed like a distorted tyke
preying off this poor man’s soul
those ruby eyes and raisin hair
making my pith beat savagely
you pulled me in and we danced
through the smoulder, laughing happily
until you buried me in your deviltry

Even nearly half a century
I can still see you sitting there
with the trees, flowers and rivers around
and how you’d hexed my world
drowning me in your fire!
never letting this old flame die
your magic won’t leave me even after all this time,
even after I had singed you
why won’t it be reversed and restore me
so I could leave your blaze reborn a man

Your demon magic won’t release its hold
why can’t it die and rest?
I feel it still on me as you dance around
grinning horrible as you cast your spell
but now it’s time for me to take revenge
as I grab you raisin hair and
force you into your own spell to burn!
And you will burn in this hellfire -
in your cursed camp for putting this minister to shame

Still, you dame witch
your spell won’t leave me alone
even after your spirit has passed on
