Yeah so I got this idea of a character a few weeks ago, but I've never really had a plot for her until now, in the form of a fanfic! Yep so tell me what you think, constructive criticism is welcomed and all that stuff. Enjoy!(hopefully lol) The chapters will get longer, the first two are just intro stuff.

*_Chapter 1: Almost Gone _*
Is it even possible?

Will she be able to handle it?

I’m not sure my powers can do that.

There has to be better options.

“Namine, there’s not enough time, we must act quickly.”

She looked down at her feet. “Well, you see, I’m not sure I even do that, and I don’t even know if she’ll be able to.” Namine looked down again.

DiZ walked over to where Namine was sitting and grabbed her arm, “There are no other options, and I’m sure you’ll find the girl will work out just fine.” The outline of his hand rose up red on Namine’s arm. She rubbed her arm and looked up.

“It worked? Can I meet her?” Namine asked.

DiZ didn’t look at her, “Yes, she’s here, but we don’t have a lot of time until she awakens.”

“I want to see her,” Namine persisted.

DiZ let out a sigh and walked over to the computer. His fingers flew across the keys as he typed, and an image came up of a girl. Namine walked over, her eyes growing wider as she looked at the picture. It was a girl, around Namine’s age. In the photo she was laying down, her eyes closed in a peaceful sort of way, like she was having pleasant dreams. Her brown hair was strewn across her face in an unruly and frantic manner, disrupting the peaceful aura the picture had before.

Namine asked, “Does she have a name yet?”

“Her name is Xena.”

“Xena,” repeated Namine as she looked at the screen closer, “She looks sick, she’s too pale. Look at how much her freckles stand out.”

DiZ responded, “She’s been sleeping ever since the start, it won’t be long before she wakes up. Namine, you need to hurry, we need it ready before she wakes up.”

Namine frowned, “I feel like I’m already forgetting it, DiZ.”

“Which is why you must hurry. Go now,” He commanded.

Namine left the room, and turned down the hall. She didn’t care what DiZ said, she was going to see this girl, Xena. She kept walking until she was at the room she thought Xena would be in. Namine slid open the door into a cold room with blue lights. The girl looked the exact same as she had in the picture. Namine took Xena’s cold hand.

“I hope this won’t be too much for you,” She said, letting go of her hand. Namine walked towards the door, looking back before she closed it. She whispered her name again, sounding like a distant sigh, so she wouldn’t forget, “Xena.”

*Fandom*: Kingdom Hearts
*Timeline*: Post KH2
*Characters*: Sora, Riku, unknown
*Summary*: When you're sinking, who'd be there to hold your hand?
*Warnings*: Eh. Didn't really mean for it like that but I suppose it's inevitable with me writing about Sora and Riku. Possibly implied shonen-ai, two best friends acting physically affectionate towards one another. You were warned.

*_Reach for What's There_*

It wasn't the first time he dreamed he was drowning. To the teen aged not even sixteen, the experience was far too familiar for comfort .They came in odd varieties, the dreams, and ranged from ones that resembled floating on clouds, through the somewhat realistic experience of diving, to being in the deepest depths of the ocean, crushed by tons upon tons of water from all sides. Unable to breathe, unable to think, and incapable of even screaming it out, only stare at the precious air bubbles escape upwards and away from him. He had gotten used to waking up covered in cold sweat, grasping at the sheets, eyes glazed over as the stared unseeingly at the ceiling above. It would register then that way was up, and his descent came to a stop with his back pressing against the mattress. Relief, and comfort – precious fleeing blessings until the following night.
Such nights, he wasn't only used to – he longed for. The nights where all he had to worry about was the lack of air and the darkness he knew he'd wake from – relief, and comfort – glorious relief.

That wasn't one of those nights.

He never managed to reach the point where he thought about breathing. The need, so basic and trivial, was the last of his concerns. All he had to do to achieve that was to reach the surface, after all. Reach above water, far, high above him where the light was brightest. That was all he had to do – and everything he couldn't. Not when he heard his name uttered in a broken murmur, twisted, deformed by so many incoherent voices, spoken to him by mouths, faceless mouths that swam about as fish would. Calling, begging, accusing… leaving him to struggle in a sea of arms, reaching for him, grabbing at him, wrapping around him like a herd of eels, pulling him down. He thrashed, flailed, struggled his hardest. He managed to reach higher, only to be pulled further down than before every single time. Not one to give up when the goal was in reach, he reached out his hand, gritting his teeth as he pushed forward – upwards, one last time. He could see the light so close, so welcoming, to the point his hand's reflection on the surface almost seemed like it was reaching back out to him. He could almost feel it, the brush of fingertips against his own, could almost grab hold… hold on… reach up for that face that appeared, smiling down at him as it moved to pull him up.

It never managed to do so. No sooner did it reach that hand did its familiar, distorted face twisted into a frown as more of the eels rose up, wrapping around the boy until he was all but out of sight. All that remained visible were his eyes, clear blue eyes filled with nothing but terror and panic. The reflected figure shouted out, calling out his name as he was taken back into the dark depths, away rom the light, away from the familiarity – away from hope. He let out his own voice, shouting out his frustration and fight into the heavy liquid. He didn't want to be pulled into the Darkness –

	-So-

He didn't want to be crushed-

	--ora-

He didn't want to get lost in the abyss, was that so much to ask for?!

	-Sor—

He refused to listen. No matter how familiar this voice sounded, how comforting hearing it was. The hold around him tightened, the pressure focusing around his shoulders and waists. All he could do in return was squirm and thrash. He didn't care how the figure that kept calling out to him, how it kept holding him, how he realized how he actually did know this person. He still didn't – couldn't care. He'd get him to let go – regardless of anything. He tried ducking every which way he could, he struggled against the hold. He rolled about, only to realize oddly enough that he came to a stop as he leaned backwards. The growl he was rewarded with served as more than enough of an incentive for him to turn his attention to the arm wrapped around his chest. Without much thought, he dove forward, eyes shut tightly as he bit down as hard as he could – and that was when things stopped making sense.
What his mouth came into contact with was warm and firm, unlike the eels. The sound that reached his ears – familiar and pained – was lucid and clear, unlike anything any fish-mouth ever said to him. And the Darkness that surrounded him, more so than the cause of anything around him – was due to his own closed eyes, eyes he slowly, carefully cracked open, one at a time. He was in his room, he realized from a quick look around, the surroundings evident enough even in the dim moonlight that seeped through the window. He himself was on his bed still, judging by the mattress he was partially on and the thrown about sheets and blankets. And the warmth he was still biting into, and apparently was holding onto with both hands to the point his nails were digging into skin? That, apparently, was an arm, he realized as he pulled his teeth back, only to frown at the mark he left behind – one visible even in that darkness they were both in. That looked painful, he concluded, only to gasp loudly a moment later as he realized there was, apparently, a face burying into his hair.

"Finally decided to wake up, huh." The familiar voice uttered, tainted with relief and more than a bit of exhaustion. "Really… for someone having a nightmare, you sure are hard to wake up."

It wasn't the first time he dreamed he was drowning. Falling into the Darkness, being crushed by the pressure, being pulled away from hope… he had gotten too used to it for comfort. Thankfully, it was also not the first time he woke up – or, was woken up – to find someone there, someone to worry about him – someone who cared. And it was always, always the very same person.

"Riku…" He uttered, not daring to move on his own as he was shifted to curl up over his best friend's form. It felt warm like that, safe, secure… comforting… he almost couldn't believe this was really happening.

"Sh." The older teen requested softly as he brought a hand to bury in brown spikes. "It's alright now, Sora."

The brunette pursed his lips as he crept closer, hands reaching to hold onto the other's shirt. "Is it, really?" He couldn't help but ask, his already small voice all but disappearing against Riku's chest. The dreams on all their variations, the slipping away from light… the resulting lack of sleep, the gnawing sensations in the pit of his stomach… the fact that every night it got that bad, Riku would dash from the other end of the island, just to be by his side… How could it be alright?

"It is." Riku replied, making Sora let out a small disgruntled voice.

"Even with this happening all the time?" He whispered, voice weighted down by guilt and regret. What he received back for it was a chuckle.

"Sora, you're just a human being." Riku replied easily enough and even without looking up, Sora knew he was shaking his head. "I'd have been worried if you'd have kept acting like nothing ever happened."

Human. That was an odd way of putting it, Sora concluded and struggled to put the proper meaning to the word. It could mean someone proud, and strong, and reliable, and bright, and it could mean someone shameful, and foolish, and weak, and small. Both meanings added up with the word – and the both of them, Sora let himself realize as he glanced up a bit at Riku's face, and he found himself awed. This wasn't part of the dream anymore, was it? He really was awake and disoriented and out of shape, and – not alone.

And wasn't that just why it was alright? To know that he'd always wake up, to know it would always end, to know there was a bottom – and even if there wasn't, to know that even if he couldn't wake up on his own – wasn't that why he even reached into the Darkness to begin with? Let himself by tainted by it? That endless abyss that lacked any and all light… wasn't Riku every bit as deep in it as he was? Wasn't Riku still there, waiting for him to sink as low?
At the very least, he kept dashing from the other end of the island, just to be by Sora's side. Wasn't that everything that made it alright? And didn't it mean that being supported like this – being human like this – wasn't as sinful as he liked to think it was?

Feeling oddly at ease, he let himself relax finally. "Will you be here for long?" The past times, Riku never stayed until morning. Would this time be any different, Sora wondered.

"Silly." Came the reply then which initially made Sora frown – until Riku continued, that is. "If I wouldn't, who'd look after you in your dreams?"

And at that rather honest notion – Sora couldn't help but laugh. "That sounded so corny, Riku!"

The elder teen growled lightly as he pulled the blanket over Sora's head. "Fine, fine. Go back to sleep already."

Sora snickered one last time before he curled up comfortably on his new mattress. "I will… because you're here."

"…now who's being corny?" Riku hissed back, but Sora didn't really mind. Feeling reassured and supported, he was soon enough back asleep and sinking quickly into the same familiar black depths. He managed to smile up at the radiant figure above on the surface who was reaching even more frantically now, as he let himself sink deeper into the Darkness, away from all the promise the surface above – and the figure there – had to offer him. He sank in relative silence, the fish all around keeping their mouths shut, the eels – their hands to themselves. He continued on downward and even before the glowing figure was out of his sight, Sora turned to look down and let his smile widen. It was empty and hollow and barren and lonely, and in the middle of it all was Riku, sinking just like him, teal eyes bright as he looked back up at Sora. Sora's hand reached out for him and he reached back, and Sora couldn't help that happy grin as unlike with the one above – he managed to take hold of the other's hand, fingers interlacing as he pulled closer to him.

The Darkness had gotten to him too, but maybe it wasn't so bad if he even became the Darkness – so long as he wasn't alone doing it. And that wouldn't change, he knew, even if Riku wasn't there again in the next morning. Sora simply clenched his hand against his chest with a knowing smile that he'd be there to hold his hand once the stars would again be shining.

Leaving it up to you who the unknown figure is :P

By Lanydx

( Now I'm putting on hold my Jet Set Radio fan fic for something I think people here know. This is a parody of the first Crystal Chronicles for the Game Cube. The fic is meant to be funny and will focus on the game's story lightly.)

Chapter 1: So what are we doing again?

Once upon a time in the land of Um, Alamo. Yeah that's it Alamo. The many people of land needed to power giant Crystals in small villages to save their sorry skins from a dark purple mist called Miasma. Every one hundred years or something like that, the Village of KHInsider would call on four suckers to carry a bucket and travel the world to find the power source of the Crystals Mru. This task would most likely get the four people killed but if they were lucky most of them would come back alive and be heroes to their Village.

Let's meet the poor saps I mean heroes.

The bright blue sky covered the medieval Village of KHInsider. The town was well built by the giant trees that surrounded it. The forest was also close by a waterfall. Inside the gates that guarded to village was at the center a small pool full with two pillars supporting the large, blue, and diamond shaped Crystal. It protected the towns people from dying by the hands of the dark mist with it's Prue Azure Aura. The aura would usually be seen as a barrier around the village but lately the barrier was starting to shrink. That meant that it needed Mru, the liquid of the booze spirits to charge it back to it's full force.

The town had put random sixteen year old of each race to go and get the Mru.

At 7:30 all of the races of the town:The Clavats, Yukes, Selkies, and Lilties, or as they called each other out racesal spite. The dumb asses, Ugly brainy acts, Sonic the Hedgehog lovers, and Midgets finally figured out who they wanted to go.

In the Clavats distract which was the lower part of the town that had most of the shops and food carts. On top of a chair was the Clavats wise elder. He pretty much looked like every stereotypical old man in a video game. Next to him was a brown haired boy in a worn out yellow tunic, worn yellow pants, and brown shoes. His hazel eyes were closed due to him being asleep. The Elder yelled.

"Lanydx you retard wake up!" Lanydx woke up with a startle. "Bacon!" Lanydx muttered. The Elder snapped at him. "Did you even listen to what I said?" He asked.

Lanydx dazley asked. "What am I doing again?" The elder just gave him a bucket and an axe.
"Just go." The elder told him. Lanydx slowly walked away from the distract.

At the gate Lanydx were greeted by a Red robed Yuke holding a staff, a girl Selkie with blue hair, wearing a green tube top and and green Mini Skirt, and a Lilt covered in armor.

The Yuke was the first to speak. "So your coming with us? I'm Zero by the way. That's *madammina the *Selkie, and the midget is Lee Roy." Zero said while pointing at the two other people. Lanydx grinned. "Yep I'm Lanydx. Zero was thinking
"Dear God this guy is going to get us all killed." Madammina smiled. "Nice to meet you both." She said. Lee Roy pushed the three away to get them moving. "Come on, we will have plenty of time to act like we like each other. Let's go!" He yelled impolitely.

"Ok no need to push." They yelled. Zero thought to himself. "I'm kicking his ass later." As they walked away form their home. Lanydx stopped. "Um guys where'd the bucket go?" He asked. It was still at the Clavats's distract . Lanydx yelled. "Doh!!!"

End of chapter.

( I plan on making it allot more funnier. Hope this is better. Please R and R or tell me what you what to happen.)

Kingdom Hearts D

Here's my story, Kingdom Hearts D. As many of you have probably guessed, this story is about the currently undocumented adventures of Mickey during KH1, though Mickey himself isn't exactly the main character... anyway, I will try my hardest to make it mesh with canon, so feel free to call me out if I contradict something. Enjoy!

Kingdom Hearts D

Prologue: The King's Flight

King Mickey stood up from the chair behind his desk and gasped in horror as the messenger finished speaking.

“They’re gone?!” he cried in disbelief. “How can that be, Chip?!”

“I’m don’t know, but that’s what our gummi probe reported,” the small chipmunk replied.

“But I was just at Beast’s Castle the other day. It was fine then. And there have never been any problems in the Land of Dragons or in the Pride Lands either. How could they disappear?”

“The gummi probe reported large amounts of dark energy where Beast’s Castle used to be. I think the worlds may have been swallowed by darkness.”

“…by darkness? But that means… the heartless must have…”

“What is it, sir?” the chipmunk asked, growing worried.

“The heartless must have reached those worlds and devoured their hearts. And if that’s true, all the worlds are in danger,” Mickey said, pulling out a piece of paper and writing furiously on it. He rolled up the paper and walked across the room towards the exit.

“What are you going to do?” Chip asked, still standing on the desk.

Mickey stopped and stared at the floor for a moment, and then held out his white-gloved hand. There was a bright flash and a keyblade appeared in his palm: the Star Seeker. Chip stared in awe at the sleek blue weapon and its golden star-shaped head.

“I haven’t used this in almost ten years, but I’ll do what needs to be done to protect the worlds,” Mickey said determinedly.

Mickey proceeded through the door before him into the white corridor of Disney Castle. He looked off a balcony for a moment towards the gummi hangar in the courtyard, but decided he would try a different route.

Chip dashed up next to him and asked, “Are you going out to fight the heartless alone?”

“No,” Mickey answered. “The heartless are after Kingdom Hearts, and I need help to stop them from reaching it. I need… another Keyblade Master. Where are Donald and Goofy?” he asked.

“They should be returning from their posts any minute now.”

“Put this on my desk for them,” Mickey said, handing the paper to Chip.

“But-” Chip said nervously.

“Just do it!” Mickey said. As Chip returned to the library, Mickey turned and ran down the remainder of the corridor. He pushed open the small door that stood at the foot of the larger door to the throne room. He dashed along the red carpet to the front of the room and snapped his fingers in front of the golden throne. With a flash, the platform that the throne was standing on began to move to the side. Underneath it was a staircase leading down a long tunnel. Mickey ran down the stairs into the dark room below while the platform closed above him again.

Inside the room was a bright ball of light resting on a marble platform. And behind it stood a mirror that reached all the way to the ceiling of the room. Mickey approached it and stared deep into the reflective glass. In the mirror was a negative image of himself; the mouse in the mirror had white ears and a black face.

Mickey paused for a moment and whispered, “Golly, I hope this works,” and then reached to touch the mirror. But where his hand should have met glass, it continued on through the mirror and into the negative world.

*******

Chip placed the letter on the desk, and turned away from it. He tried not to think about what it said. He jumped off the desk and stared at Mickey’s dog, Pluto, sitting in his bed, trying to distract himself. It didn’t work.

The letter probably explained everything. He wondered why the King wanted Donald and Goofy. What was going on? Why were the heartless suddenly appearing? He stopped and slowly turned around to face the desk again. He climbed up and reached out for the envelope, but just as he was about to grab it, Pluto leapt onto the desk. The dog grabbed the letter in his slobbery mouth and jumped off the desk, running out of the room. Chip yelled out, and chased the dog out the door and down the corridor.

Donald,
Sorry to rush off without sayin’ goodbye, but there’s big trouble brewin’. Not sure why, but the stars have been blinkin’ out, one by one. And that means disaster can’t be far behind. I hate to leave you all but I gotta go check into it.

There’s someone with a “key”- the key to our survival. So I need you and Goofy to find him, and stick with him. Got it? We need that key or we’re doomed! So go to Traverse Town and find Leon. He’ll point you in the right direction.

P.S. Would ya apologize to Minnie for me? Thanks, pal.

This is just an old story I've been writting about. Like Birth by sleep it stars three new Keyblade Wilders on thier own seperate quest: Two are apart of a group of Keybladers while one (The main character) is special. Though it doesn't feature Sora, Riku, ect., it does feature other characters from Final Fantasy. Now about the characters.

Xaiver- The main character, he has been having strange dreams about people in white armor and suits who seem to know him but call him Xane. He's an Empty (The new eneimes) but isn't exactly one.

Shinji-Xavier's best friend who infact has been spying on Xavier to make sure he doesn't do something. But what?

Ryuga-Shinji's cusion and one of Xaivier's other friend, he also has been spying on Xaivier.

Now for the bad guys:

Empty's-Being's with empty heart's, they have no fellings, but the more heartless they kill the more it fills.

Subs-People with half a heart, instead of looking like regular Empties, they humans and have special weapons and abilities.

{Prologue ~<3*
{always ~<3

Much of my life has been dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge.

What is this place? How did I get here? The thoughts whirled around as the girl rose from her place on the floor. Her body shivered as she felt the never-ending wind in every crevice of her naked body, save for her bandaged face. Her skin creased as she looked around, finding almost nothing but the endless fields of the grass in which she awoke, until a looming bastion appeared in the distance.

That knowledge has guarded this world well. Not a soul doubts that. I am blessed with people's smiles and respect. But though I am called a sage, there are things I do not understand.

The castle was larger than than it had seemed in the distance, and certainly more daunting, however the wind hadn't stopped, so her decision was quick. The creak of the door opening surprised her somewhat; the building hadn't appeared to be that old. A quick glance around the room and she had ascertained that there was no one there to stop her from entering. A few black cloaks lay strewn around the floor and after quickly stealing into the foyer the girl picked one, shrugging it over her shoulders, being careful with tthe zip so as it wouldn't pinch any delicates. The hood was deep, covering almost her whole face, yet she drew the strings, only caring that she was warm, the mystery of the thrown cloaks ignored.

I believe darkness sleeps in every heart, no matter how pure. Given the chance, the smallest drop can spread and swallow the heart. I have witnessed it many times.

Her thick blue hair was wove around her face in wisps, as if a soft wind continued even after she had left it's vicinity. The halls were warm, and she found she didn't need the deep hood for so long. Eventually she stood, a new feeling entering her body. She no longer craved warmth, but a growing hunger, which had led her to wondering the halls of the manse. It was an empty place, somewhere seemingly not often come to. Bump. The Noise made her jump. She stood for a minute before It came again; from a door at the end of the hall. Bump. She wondered what to do and eventually her curious nature overcame her fear, and her delicate feet made their way towards the door. Bump.

Darkness...Darkness of the heart. How is it born? How does it come to affect us so? As ruler of this world, I must find the answers.

A laboratory. Her body glided through, her face puzzling at the many strange instruments. She had jumped when she first entered the room, but had smiled after she realised it the person staring at her was just a reflection in a mirror. Her inspection of the mirror had taken a good twenty minutes. The constant bumps had increased in number and volume, yet were now a dull throb to what they were before - her interest now held in the strange instruments. Tomes lined the wall, holding no interest to the illiterate girl. Her interest in the room waned as she made her way from one end to the other as she realised that there were two doors to the obscure lab. The closer she was to the far exit the louder and more frequent the bumps became. Her body made the slightest of sounds, her nervousness returning, as she made her way through the door.

I must find them...

"Another dud." Came the first voice, cold and disapproving. The bump never ceased.

"This one made it farther than the others though, didn't it?" The second voice started. It was low, yet soft.

"True, very true. Yet you must agree that it can't be a coincidence that it malfunctioned right here, in front of this particular pod." Pointedly.

"No.. I suppose you're right..." The second voice sighed. "I guess it's another one for the trash heap then."

It was then that the girl sat up eyes open. Ignoring the two males standing now pale at the turn of events, her body suddenly rose and pushed up against the pod with her, her arms squashed against her chest.

"Luce.." said the low toned one, yet the cold voice didn't respond, awestruck.

It was silent, barely a whisper, but it was what they had been working towards for ten long years, and the two strangers were brought to tears when they heard it. The blue-haired girl uttered one simple phrase, and without knowing changed the course of history forever. "...Keyblade Wielder."

I must find them before the world is lost to those taken by the darkness.

*_PROLOGUE- King Mickey's Letter_*
Dear Sora, Riku and Kairi?
How is everyone? Have you caught up with all your friends from the Islands yet?
Sorry to rush this but we have business to take care of. Im afraid this is not a general 'How are ya?' letter.
I was looking over the Secret Ansem reports yesterday and I think I discovered something. From what I have read, I have come to the conclusion that if a nobody and a heartless of someone are destroyed, then they will fuse together in the realm of darkness to re-make the somebody!
I fear that the organization will return and even worse, Xehanort!
I, along with Donald and Goofy, will come to the Islands in a few days to help prepare you guys for the possible upcoming battle.
Hope you are well!
King Mickey

So clearly this is the letter shown at the end of KH2.
Basically, the story won't focus on SRK all that much but more the Organization and what they do when they return. I think I will add some things to do with SRK along the line but it is not going to focus on them.

There probably will be inaccuracies but it is a fanfiction, does it REALLY matter?

Hope you guys will like it =) I will add more chapters as soon as I write them.

The final Halloween fanfic! Woot! And it's dedicated to Madammina, the #1 Rilsi shipper who helped me with some parts, like the Heartless battle!

*Pairings:* Riku/Kelsi friendship, SoKai and Troy/Gabriella are mentioned
*Setting:* Post-KH2
*Summary:* Kelsi is at her school's Halloween dance, the only one in her group without a boyfriend/date. Then she sees another loner who has no intention of telling her who he really is or why he's there, sparking a game of 20 Questions to figure it out.

Disclaimer: I don't own Kingdom Hearts or High School Musical. Or the Phantom of the Opera. Or Zorro. Or those lines from Twilight. I'm sorry, it started out unintentionally, and then I remembered that part from the movie and just HAD to make a joke about it...

*"20 Questions"*

Everyone in the East High student body had to agree: this year’s committee for the Halloween dance had really outdone itself. The gymnasium was barely recognizable because of all the decorations; the theme was “Haunted Mansion” and the crew, led by senior Taylor McKessie, went out of their way to make it look like a real haunted mansion. It helped that Taylor had recently befriended some of the people in the Drama Club because they knew a thing or two about set design. The bleachers had been pulled out and covered to look like a “grand staircase,” the dance floor was lit by lamps and fake chandeliers, the floor was covered with cobwebs, and the Science Club had even created a talking head bust to greet everyone as they went through the doors!

It was at this masquerade ball where Kelsi Nielsen was sitting at one of the little tables, waiting for her friend Ryan to come back with food. She played around with the tablecloth and watched the couples dancing in a wide variety of costumes. People had been coming up and complimenting her on her own outfit, yet none of them, save for Ryan, could figure out who she was supposed to be. They just said, “Nice dress,” and kept going. Well, she should’ve expected that. It wasn’t like the kids from East High were all that hyped up on classic Broadway shows unless it came from Disney.

She sighed, wishing that she wasn’t so bored. What she really wanted to do was sit at her piano and compose a new song, something spooky for Halloween! It wasn’t that Kelsi was anti-social; it was just that most of her friends had come with dates, and since she was single, that really only left her with Ryan for company. So when he was caught up talking to other people, she got restless. Maybe the next time the DJ played a fast song, she would be able to get up and just dance without needing a partner.

As Kelsi aimlessly scanned the room, one figure in particular caught her eye: a young man leaning up against the wall on the other side of the dance floor. He too was watching the dancers with a disinterested gaze, but what truly caught her eye was his costume. He wore a black opera suit with a fake rose in the front pocket, and his face was partially covered by a white mask. Excited by the prospect of meeting another theater lover, Kelsi crossed the dance floor to speak to the mysterious boy. As she got closer, she noticed that he had long, silver hair. That was strange, but it added to his intrigue!

“The Phantom of the Opera?” she asked him when she’d caught his attention.

The boy straightened up and looked her over. “Let me guess?” he said slowly, “Christine?”

“My name’s Kelsi, actually,” she joked, “What’s yours?”

He hesitated for a moment, but finally he said, “Riku.”

“Riku? Are you new here?”

Again, he hesitated, and he seemed to have trouble meeting her eyes. “Something like that, yeah.”

“Wow, you’re more mysterious than the Phantom!” she exclaimed.

Riku smirked. “It almost sounds like you think that’s a good thing!”

Kelsi couldn’t figure out if his behavior was alluring or creepy…he wasn’t giving off any dangerous vibes, but despite her love of “Phantom of the Opera”, she was a sensible girl who didn’t plan on swooning over the first masked man that offered her a rose. “It depends on who’s underneath the mask,” she told him out loud. He automatically took a step back and raised his hand, as though preparing to block her in case she tried to reveal his identity. “I guess I’ll never know then,” she said with a sigh, and she started to turn away.

“Wait,” said Riku. Kelsi looked back hopefully, and saw that he was grinning again. “How ‘bout I give you three guesses about who I am and where I come from? What time does this ball end?”

“10:00.”

“Then I’ll give you ‘til 10:00. If you can’t guess, I get to keep the mask on. If you do, I’ll take it off. Deal?”

She thought it over. “What about playing ’20 Questions’ instead?”

Riku laughed. “You’re tough, aren’t you? Okay, ’20 Questions’ it is. Fire away.”

“How old are you?”

“Seventeen.”

“How long have you been seventeen?”

He scratched his head. “My birthday was last month.” Well, okay. So he wasn’t some creepy, youthful-looking adult who had snuck into a high school dance. That made him slightly more appealing in Kelsi’s eyes. But it didn’t tell her much about who he was underneath the costume, so she tried to dig a little deeper.

“How many times have you watched The Phantom of the Opera?”

“Actually, I’ve never seen it before. My friend Kairi told me to wear this tonight to the dance. Apparently I look ‘classy’ in a tuxedo or something like that.”

“Then how did you know that I was Christine?” asked Kelsi in surprise, “Nobody but one of my close friends was able to figure it out!”

“Because Kairi’s seen the play, and when we were all looking at costumes, she got all excited and asked me to try it on.”

“Is Kairi your girlfriend?” asked Kelsi curiously. If so, why wasn’t he dancing with her?

“Nope. That honor belongs to my best friend, Sora,” replied Riku, and he pointed over at one of the couples dancing on the floor. The boy had brown, spiky hair and wore a vampire costume. His partner was dressed as a mermaid, with seashells arranged in her red hair. Both looked like they were having the time of their lives!

“Is it hard being with them all the time, when they’re so fixed on each other?” asked Kelsi curiously. She was beginning to think that this boy might know how she felt, being the only one in the group without a love interest.

“No, it’s not that bad. I’m still their best friend, so they try to keep the romance to a minimum whenever I’m around. I feel kind of bad about that, but I’m glad that they’re trying to respect my feelings at least.” Wow, he’d told her a lot more information than he’d intended too. Perhaps that was because he hardly talked to anyone about his inner thoughts and feelings, and now that she was making him open up, it was like breaking the floodgates after a hurricane! “We’ve all been best friends since I was five and they were four, and Sora and I’ve pretty much been friends since birth. I don’t want to throw that away just because their friendship got stronger than usual, if you know what I mean.”

Kelsi nodded. That made sense, and she wasn’t about to complain to her own friends either; after all, she was the one who’d gotten Troy and Gabriella together in the first place, and they were her two closest friends. And they were such a cute couple, giving her inspiration to compose some of her best songs for every school play they auditioned for. Which lead her to her next question: “What’s one thing you really love to do?”

Riku had to think about that one. “I like sparring.”

“Sparring? Like a sword fight?” she giggled, “Are you the Phantom now, or Zorro?”

“Who’s Zorro?!”

“Never mind. How many questions do I have left?”

Riku smirked. “Now you have eleven.”

“Hey, that last question doesn’t count!”

“Sure it does! It’s a question!”

“You’re cheating!” she complained. Riku started to laugh, but suddenly his whole body stiffened. “What’s wrong?” she asked him anxiously.

“RIKU!” They both turned around to see Sora and Kairi running towards them, holding onto…giant keys?! “Heartless!”

A few seconds later, the crowd began to scream and stampede for the exits! All around them, scary looking creatures with glowing yellow eyes and waggling antennae were popping out of the ground and leaping at the fleeing students. One fixed its gaze on Kelsi, but before it could attack her, Riku stepped in front of her, pulled out the strangest-looking sword she had ever seen, and struck it down. “What’s happening?!” she cried.

“Riku! We gotta go now!” shouted Sora. Riku nodded, grabbed Kelsi’s hand, and guided her skillfully towards the nearest exit. Riku kept his sword handy and slashed out at any of the creatures that came near them.

“What are these things?” asked Kelsi fearfully, “This better not be the seniors' prank…”

“It’s not a prank; these are Heartless,” said Riku grimly, “They try to steal people’s hearts, so stay close to me and don’t let one of them near you!”

Kelsi shuddered. They stole your heart?! How twisted was that? She looked around desperately for her own weapon to protect herself, when she looked up at the ceiling and saw the solution to the problem! “Riku!” she called, “Can you get these Heartless into the center of the dance floor?”

“What for?” he demanded.

“I have an idea!” she replied. Since he didn’t have one himself, he nodded and yelled out instructions to Sora and Kairi. Kelsi ran over to a corner of the gym, dodging the creatures with their swiping tentacles, and started untying a series of ropes that were holding up all of the ceiling decorations: the chandeliers, the ghost dummies, and a huge tombstone that was hanging over the center of the gym. “Guys, get out of there now!” she yelled. The trio took off running, but before the Heartless could follow them, the entire ceiling display came crashing down, crushing them to death.

There was a long, long silence.

“Um, is that all of them?” Kelsi called out as the dust began to clear.

“It’s a pretty big amount,” said Riku shakily, “Nice work!”

Kelsi grinned. "Thanks! Is everyone okay?"

"Yeah. You?"

"I'm a little freaked out, but I think I'll live."

"Good to hear." Riku approached her and stared at her warily. "So...I guess you didn't need the 20 questions game after all..."

"No, I think I've got a pretty good idea of why you're so secretive. So what, are you some silent deputy that comes riding into town when there's Heartless afoot?"

Riku started laughing. "Something like that, yeah. You know, you wouldn't be too bad at it either, with a little training...that stunt you pulled was pretty genius."

Kelsi shivered. "Thanks, but I think I'd prefer to graduate first. Some things are probably better kept under the mask!"

- The End -

A/N: WOW, that ending is terrible, but it's the best I could think of. Happy Halloween, madammina! :D

So here we have Halloween Fanfic #2! And this time it's more of a horror story! But it's hard for me to write horror and have Demyx be...well, Demyx, at the same time. But I like how it turned out. Be prepared; it's a *LONG* one-shot.

*Pairings:* Kairi/Demyx friendship, one-sided SoKai from Kairi's side
*Setting:* 358/2 Days-ish? It does *NOT* take place in the same universe as my other three Kaimyx fics.
*Summary:* Kairi goes to the legendary Water Horse Bay to help Tidus and Wakka prove that a kelpie really lives there- the same place where Demyx happens to be on a recon mission for Organization XIII.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Kingdom Hearts. And the horror movie titles that the kids mention are spoofs off of actual horror movies out right now; I'm sure you can figure them out! Also, credit goes to madammina for helping me come up with the idea for the monster in this story! It's called a kelpie and they're part of Irish folklore!

*“The Legend of Water Horse Bay”*

At noon, the busy high school cafeteria was filled with some unusually delicious smells; it was the day before Halloween and the cooks had somehow managed to make better food than the students normally expected. Kairi took a deep whiff and grinned as she caught the scent of everyone’s favorite holiday treat: chocolate-covered fried paopu fruit. Then she quickly helped herself to several of them before the hungry crowd of boys behind her could snatch them all!

Her good friend, Selphie Tilmitt, was waiting for her at their usual table. As soon as she saw the food on Kairi’s tray, her eyes widened. “Oh good, they have more! They were all out when I went to get some!”

“Not for long they won’t,” Kairi corrected her, “There was a big line behind me!”

“Awww!”

“Here, you can have some of mine; I got a stash of them just in case!”

Selphie smiled eagerly. “Thanks Kai! C’mon, sit down and eat before your food gets cold! I have to talk to you about something important!”

“What’s that?” asked Kairi, though she wasn’t feeling especially intrigued. Selphie always had something important to talk about, whether it was actually important or not.

“My Halloween party, duh! I need your help planning it!”

“You haven’t started yet?! But it’s tomorrow!”

“That’s why I need your help!” said Selphie, “I know Tidus and Wakka want a scary movie marathon, so I need your advice on what to pick!”

“Annnd speaking of scary movies,” said a voice right in Kairi’s ear; she squeaked and jumped, but it was only Wakka, “Are you ladies interested in helping us with a special project?”

Kairi and Selphie shared suspicious looks. “It depends on what the project is,” Kairi told him.

“Something REALLY awesome!” said Tidus as he dropped his tray down on the table, “See, me and Wakka just saw the scariest movie ever last night…”

“Was it one of the stupid Death Trap sequels?” asked Selphie with a groan.

“Nah, we heard that was lame, so we went to see this one called Supernatural Activity instead! And it was SO worth it!” said Tidus excitedly, “These kids thought their high school might be haunted, so they started investigating, hacked into the school’s surveillance tapes, stuff like that. But whatever they did must’ve upset the spirits, because everything started going crazy and everyone in the theater was screaming!”

“Except us!” added Wakka quickly.

“Right! Except us!”

“Oh sure,” said Kairi, “So what? You want us to see it too?”

“Nah, we want to try doing something like that ourselves!” replied Wakka, “The whole movie looked like it was filmed on a home video camera, so Tidus and I got ourselves one, and we’re going to find different haunted places on the island and investigate!”

“Join us if you want to get rich and famous!” said Tidus.

Kairi folded her arms. “And just who’s supposed to do the research so you two know what places to check out?”

Wakka scratched his head nervously. “Weeeeeellllll…we were kind of hoping that you girls could do that…BUT you don’t have to it for the first visit, ‘cause we already picked out a spot! D’you remember the legend of Water Horse Bay?”

Kairi frowned. “I’ve heard of Water Horse Bay, but I don’t think I’ve ever been there before…”

“No one ever goes there!” said Tidus in a dramatic voice, “Because the legend says that a fearsome kelpie lives beneath those waves…a giant water horse that lures little children onto its back, takes them down to the bottom of the bay and then EATS THEM ALIVE!!!!! Muhahahahaha!!”

“Nice try Tidus,” said Selphie dryly, “But you can’t scare us. We’re not five anymore!”

“It was worth a try…”

“So, whaddya say?” asked Wakka eagerly, “Are you up for a little adventure?”

The two girls exchanged glances again. “Okay,” Kairi agreed, “When did you want to meet there?”

“Today, after blitzball practice! How ‘bout we meet you there around 5:00? Be prepared to do some filming!”

“Okay,” said Selphie, “Count us in!”

*****

After school, Kairi walked home by herself and decided to head over to Water Horse Bay early. As Tidus had told them in his story, the place was deserted and silent, save for the sound of the water lapping against the rocks and the sandy beach. There were no buildings nearby; just a forest of tall palm trees several yards away, and the path that she had taken to get to the bay in the first place. A breeze blew Kairi’s blood-red hair back as she stared out at the horizon. Even now, when she was several miles away from home, she still watched that skyline, waiting in vain for her two best friends to come home. Wow, she thought, I just realized…this’ll be my first Halloween without Sora and Riku! Oh I wish they could just come home already!

“Aw man, I wish I could just go home already!”

Kairi jumped; startled to realize that she wasn’t alone on the beach anymore! In fact, there was a young man in a long black overcoat walking along the shore, talking to himself and occasionally picking up a seashell. He hadn’t noticed her at all, but it sure was hard for her to miss him. His hair was styled in a strange mullet/Mohawk combo that made him look something like a rock star, and he even held a large blue guitar in his hand. She had never seen him before and continued to watch him with curiosity as he stopped walking and looked at his watch. “Why’d Saïx have to give me a time limit!” he whined, “And a three page report about my results! Yeesh, don’t I work hard enough for them? They’re lucky I do anything at all!”

Kairi cleared her throat. “Um, excuse me?” she called out, “Are you looking for something?”

Now the boy jumped and looked up at her in surprise. “Whoa!” he cried, “What are you doing here?!”

“Um, I live here?” replied Kairi. Well, that wasn’t entirely true, but she lived close enough to the area, “What about you?”

He wagged his finger at her and winked. “Nuh-uh, sorry! That’s classified information!”

Kairi folded her arms and tried to look stern, but her smile gave her away. “Ooo, excuse me! I didn’t know I’d stumbled onto such a top-secret assignment! Are you a secret agent?”

The boy burst out laughing. “You’re kidding! Me? A secret agent? Now THAT’S hilarious!” She started to laugh too, which made him grin. “Nah, I’m Demyx. What’s your name?”

“Kairi,” she replied, “So, are you trying to see if the legend of the kelpie is real too?”

To her surprise, Demyx’s face grew pale. “There’s a kelpie living here?! Whoa, whoa, no way am I going near that!”

“But it’s just a story,” said Kairi, “It’s not real!”

Demyx stared anxiously at the relatively calm water. “Fine,” he said, “Then you go in there and prove to me that it’s safe!”

Growing up with mostly boys for playmates meant that Kairi never backed away from a challenge, least of all because it had the potential to be scary. So she tossed her hair and walked boldly into the water, ignoring the look of dread on Demyx’s face and the way he’d started backing away from the shore. Just as she had expected, nothing came out to grab her. She turned her back to the ocean and called out, “See? I told you so!”

But suddenly, Demyx started pointing frantically to something behind her. “KAIRI!” he yelled, “Something’s coming out of the water!!”

Kairi whipped her head around, and what she saw almost made her heart stop. But it wasn’t a kelpie. It was a boy…a boy she had been longing to see for months…a boy with brown spiky hair, baggy red pants, and a big, happy smile. He was standing a few feet away, waving to her energetically the way he always used to. Kairi opened her mouth to greet him, but she was so shocked that the words wouldn’t come out at first. She tried again and managed to croak out, “S-S-Sora…?”

“Hiya Kairi!” said Sora cheerfully. When she didn’t say anything else, he frowned and said, “C’mon, aren’t you going to hug me? I haven’t seen you in a while!”

She wanted to; she wanted to hug him very, very badly. It was just hard to do when her legs were numb. She stood there in silence as the tears poured down her face, taking in the wonderful sight of Sora home, safe and sound. In the back of her mind, she wondered where Riku was, and the rational side was telling her that there was something very wrong about how cheerful Sora’s behavior was when he’d left to go save Riku, and now he was apparently turning up empty-handed. But the shock and her longing to see Sora again made Kairi ignore her rational side, and a few seconds later, she overcame that shock and rushed over to embrace him. “Oh Sora!” she sobbed, “I missed you so, so much…wait…why’s your skin so cold? You’re not sick are you?”

Sora didn’t answer. “Sora?” she said in an uneasy voice, “What’s been going on? What happened to Riku?” Still, she got no answer. Kairi decided to pull out of her hug and look into his face…but she couldn’t. When she tried to untangle her arms, she realized that they were stuck to Sora’s skin! “Sora!” she cried out in alarm, “What’s going on?! What’s wrong with you?!”

Finally, Sora pulled back enough for her to see his face, but she immediately wished she couldn’t, because he had a wicked smirk. When he spoke again, it wasn’t his voice coming out of his mouth; it sounded like a deadly hiss. “Finally!” he snarled, “Some fresh meat!” Kairi stared at him in speechless terror, but it only got worse from there. His neck began to grow longer, his skin grew darker, and his body arched until his entire shape had shifted into the form of a huge, black horse! His skin was colder than ever and his eyes changed from bright blue to cold yellow. But the scariest part was his teeth: they were clearly sharper than a normal horse’s!

Meanwhile, back at the beach, Demyx had been too far away to hear the conversation between Kairi and “Sora,” but he put two and two together when the horse suddenly appeared where the boy had been standing. “KAIRI!” he shouted, “GET AWAY FROM THAT THING! IT’S THE KELPIE!”

Kairi let out a bloodcurdling scream and tried to wrench her hands away from the kelpie’s cold skin, but her entire body was glued to the monster! She cursed herself for being stupid enough to run up and hug it! Now she was completely trapped, and Tidus’s words were coming back to haunt her: “…a giant water horse that lures little children onto its back, takes them down to the bottom of the bay and then eats them alive!!!” Suddenly, the kelpie reared up on its hind legs, with the terrified girl trapped on its back, and started galloping quickly towards the deep ocean beyond the bay. “HELP!” she screamed, “Someone please help me!!!” She knew it was only a matter of time before the creature found a spot it liked and dragged her down to her death!

Back on the shore, Demyx was running around like a chicken with its head cut off. “HEY!” he shouted, “Somebody come quick!” After all, there was no way that HE was going into the water to save her! He wasn’t the kind of guy who could fight off a kelpie! But no one answered, and he was beginning to realize that he was the only person who knew that Kairi was in deadly danger. Her screams were growing fainter, but they still managed to bore a hole into his brain and the empty space where his heart used to be. Demyx was the laziest member of Organization XIII and their resident coward. They all knew that if they wanted a job done right, they couldn’t trust him. But the one thing that they always overlooked was that Demyx still cared enough to occasionally lend a hand. He never completely abandoned his colleagues whenever he had to team up with someone on a mission, and he couldn’t simply turn his back and let an innocent girl suffer a horrible death, not when there was no one else who could help her.

“DEMYX!” she screamed out desperately as the kelpie took her farther and farther away.

Great, now she was calling for him! That voice was going to haunt him in his dreams if he didn’t do something. “Aw, come on!” he yelled at the sky, “Why me? I’m not cut out for this!”

“DEMYX! HELP ME!”

“All right, all right, I’ll do it!” he grumbled to himself, “At least it’ll make for an interesting report when I get back.” Since the kelpie was too far away for him to swim to it, Demyx formed a corridor of darkness with his hand and decided to teleport directly to the spot where the kelpie was taking its prisoner. “Hang on Kairi!” he called out as he ran in. But when he reached the ocean, there was nothing there! “Kairi?!” he yelled, “Where are you?!” He could see the beach from far away, so he knew he was in the right spot, but how could the kelpie have disappeared like that…?

Uh-oh.

Demyx ducked his head underwater. Sure enough, the kelpie had already plunged beneath the surface and was speeding toward the bottom to enjoy a tasty dinner!

Meanwhile, a thoroughly petrified Kairi was still struggling to escape before the kelpie could reach its destination, but nothing worked and she was growing exhausted. Suddenly, she felt a pair of strong arms wrapping themselves around her body. At first, this only made her panic even more, but then she turned her head and her heart was filled with relief- it was Demyx! Somehow, as he pulled with all of his might, the water around them churned and began to propel them towards the surface. The kelpie thrashed around angrily as it began to rise with them, confused as to why it suddenly wasn’t going in the direction that it wanted to. While this was happening, water was beginning to seep in between Kairi’s body and the kelpie’s skin, and then it started to build pressure until she popped loose in a huge wave of bubbles!

Immediately, Demyx began to swim as fast as he could for the surface, holding Kairi tightly in his arms. She was starting to grow faint from the lack of air, but he got her up just in time. As she struggled to catch her breath, she flung her arms around his neck and began to cry. Demyx just smiled down at her. “That was the scariest thing I’ve ever done!” he told her proudly. Kairi let out a choked giggle.

“Th-thank you Demyx, th-th-thank you!” she sobbed.

“Hey, don’t mention…” They were both cut off by the sound of a loud roar as the kelpie broke through the surface of the water and pawed the air over their heads. “RUN! I mean, SWIM!” screamed Demyx, and before Kairi knew what was happening, both of them were speeding through the water towards the shore, at a speed that Kairi hadn’t thought was humanly possible. She wasn’t going to complain though, not when the kelpie was chasing them and its teeth were snapping at her heels! “Hold on tight, Kairi!” shouted Demyx over the monster’s angry roars, “We’re almost there…almost there…YES!”

They both washed up on shore, and Demyx quickly picked up Kairi to get them away from the kelpie’s reach. Finally, they both collapsed in the sand, gasping for breath. Kairi was still crying. For several wonderful seconds, maybe even up to a minute, she had sincerely believed that Sora had come home. Seeing him like that only made her realize just how badly she missed him.

Demyx was completely oblivious to this and thought she was just scared about her near-death experience (which she was, but the Sora part hadn’t helped matters). “It’s okay!” he told her with a grin, “That creep’s gone now! You’re safe!” That had been, without a doubt, the greatest adrenaline rush that he’d ever had. Except he normally hated things like adrenaline rushes. “I still can’t believe I did that!”

Kairi wanted nothing more than to continue lying on the beach so she could cry, but Demyx was looking so excited and cheerful that she thought it would look rude if she disregarded her rescuer. “You did great Demyx,” she said quietly, “You really did!”

“KAIRI!” The duo looked up and saw Selphie, Tidus, and Wakka dashing towards them. (Tidus notably had a video camera in his hand.) “Are you okay?! What happened?”

“Did the kelpie try to eat you?” asked Wakka.

“It almost did,” said Kairi with a shudder, “But Demyx here, he saved my life.”

The kids gasped and looked at Demyx with wonder and admiration, two looks he wasn’t used to getting. Then Tidus stuck his camera in the Nobody’s face and said, “Can you describe it for us, please?”

“TIDUS!” everyone yelled.

“All right, all right, I’m putting it away!” he said. (He’d gotten some sweet footage of the kelpie anyway.)

“C’mon Kairi,” said Selphie, “Let’s get you home. You can come too if you want, Demyx!”

He shrugged. "Okay, sure." Technically, this was a recon assignment, so he could count going to a civilian's house as recon...

Together, the five young people walked away from the beach, up the path, and back to town. None of them heard the soft gallopping of hooves behind them...

“The Legend of Water Horse Bay”

***

Lost in the Streets of Tokyo. A JSRF fanfic

By Lanydx

Jet Set Radio Future is owned by Sega.
I own nothing of this game...Sadly.

Chapter 0: Rain.

In a time of crisis, words enter a person's mind.

For this fourteen year old American in the city of Tokyo, Japan a few words entered Chris Macunne's mind.

"I have to get lost." He thought.

With Police sirens echoing in the distance people would assume that was a good thing right? Wrong!

For this kid, the cops were anything but helpful. They were the ones who caused all the grief he been through since he and now his late mom and dad came to this island.

Chris ran from what he could call a bus terminal.

His shakes gave him extra speed but for him that wasn't any better.

He had just watch his family and other member of the mission group die from gun fire from the cops.

They were after a tall, Asian girl who was wearing all back and rollerblades with rockets on them. He thought she did no wrong.

"Their are killers, and rapist running around and you send all your guys out for a girl who make graffiti?!!" Chris yelled into the sky.

He was in a back ally so no one heard his rage but the good Lord in Heaven himself.

Chris was ready to pull his red hair out in anger when he suddenly just dropped unconscious.

His body laid their, lost in a unfimllar city, didn't know Japanese, or have anyone to turn to.

The funny thing is that when someone gets lost, sooner or later someone finds that said person.

End chapter.

(Anyway. If anyone does not know what Jet Set Raido is I'll give you a cheat sheet.

It was a game made from Sega about teenagers in rocket powered rollarblades spray paniting all over the city of Tokyo because of an evil fat guy takes over the city and goes Hitler on everybody. The main guys, Beat, Gum, Corn,Yo-Yo, and many other boys and girls are in gang called the GGs and they cause mayem for this guy and rival gangs.

The teller of this story is the DJ Profsseer K. the one and only DJ of Jet Set Radio.

I fleat like not alot of people know about JSRF so I'm making a new story. New characters, same setting, good story.

I hope this will not be like my last failures on here.

Rand R please.)

Next Chapter: Neo G.

For Keeps (SoNami)

A/N: Happy (early) Halloween!

Well, this story's got some history behind it. I wrote it last year but AFTER Halloween, so I couldn't really post it. Then I lost the file and had to rewrite it, make some changes, etc. but it's finally getting put up! And hopefully it's one of three Halloween fanfics that I'm putting up as a sort of countdown to Halloween, with the last one being on Halloween itself! We'll see if I can defeat the evil forces of Writer's Block long enough to write and complete the other two in time.

Anyways, on with the fic...

*Pairings:* SoNami, but in some ways it's more of a SoRiKaiNami friendship fic. What can I say, I love that fictional quartet!
*Setting:* It's an *AU* where Namine was really a childhood friend of Sora's, both pre-KH1 and post-KH2. Kind of like my Christmas SoNami fic that I wrote last year.
*Summary:* It's Kairi's first Halloween on Destiny Islands, but Naminé is too scared to join in the festivities. So it's up to Sora to remind her of why she never needs to be afraid of anything while he's around!

*Disclaimer:* I don’t own Kingdom Hearts. Or Jecht, Tidus's father from Final Fantasy X. But he doesn't show up very much.

*“For Keeps”*

Naminé sat hunched over her sketchbook, drawing another beautiful Destiny Islands sunset. Normally her best friend Kairi, who was sitting next to her, would be enjoying the gorgeous red and pink sky too, but not today. Today she was tapping her foot impatiently and continuously staring at her watch. “Once again,” she announced with a sigh, “You and I are the only ones here on time!”

“Don’t worry, they’ll be here,” said Naminé idly, “They’d never let us down completely, would they?”

“No, and I know Sora’s the laziest boy that was ever created, but they could at least try once and a while, right? Oh wait- here comes Selphie now!”

“Sorry guys!” called the cheerful Selphie, who made up the third and last girl in their little circle of friends. She was running towards them as fast as she could with her purse swinging in her hand. “I was just talking to Tidus and Wakka. They told me to tell you guys not to wait for them, because they’re going to be running late. Which means they’re probably plotting to go to this ‘haunted house’ early and pull a prank to scare us!”

Naminé shuddered. “Oh, I hope not! I’m scared enough about this as it is!”

Kairi smiled and put an arm around her friend. “Don’t worry, it’ll only be Tidus and Wakka! Besides, if anything really scary shows up, I’m sure it’s nothing our legendary Keyblade Masters couldn’t protect us from, eh?”

Naminé smiled softly. “You’re right,” she said quietly, “I know they would.” Those words had reminded her of Kairi’s first Halloween…it had been eleven years ago, and the incident that came out of it had all started while she had been watching a sunset rather like this one.

It was the end of another long, blissful day, and Naminé was sitting at the end of a long dock, next to her best friends: Sora, Riku, and Kairi. And then Sora had brought up the very last topic that the little four-year-old girl wanted to think about. “Hey Kairi!” he asked cheerfully, “What d’you wanna be for Halloween?”

“What’s a Halloween?” asked Kairi curiously.

“You don’t know what Halloween is?!” cried Sora and Riku in unison.

“No! What is it?”

“It’s the BEST holiday EVER!” shouted Riku.

“Except for Christmas!” Sora reminded him.

“Oh yeah, except for Christmas.”

“You get to dress up in a costume, and then at night you run around with all your friends and go knocking on people’s doors, and when they come out, they give you candy!”

“Really?!” Kairi gasped, “But why?!”

“Because it’s Halloween, duh!” said Riku, “That’s what everyone does! Like getting presents on your birthday!”

“Ooo, it sounds like fun! Can I play Halloween with you guys?”

“Sure!” said Sora, “You just need to get a costume! I’m gonna be a pirate!”

“What are you gonna be, Naminé?” asked Kairi excitedly. She wanted a girl’s opinion on what to wear. But Naminé didn’t answer; she just stared down at her lap and mumbled something incomprehensible. “What did you say?” asked Kairi.

“Naminé doesn’t go trick-or-treating with us,” explained Sora quickly, “She doesn’t like Halloween.”

“But why not?” cried Kairi, “I thought you just said it was fun!”

Naminé shivered. “No, it’s really scary! I tried to go trick-or-treating once, but it was dark outside and there were all these scary people with masks on, and there are monsters that’ll eat you if you don’t watch out!”

“Monsters?!” asked Kairi nervously.

“There aren’t monsters!” protested Sora, “Who told you THAT?”

“Riku did.”

“Well, there ARE,” said Riku defensively, “Vampires that can come out of the sky and suck your blood, and ghosts and skeletons and zombies and the Magic Water Horse that pulls you into the sea and eats you up!” Naminé screamed, pulled her feet away from the edge of the dock, and wrapped her arms around Sora in terror.

“Stop it!” yelled Kairi, “You’re scaring her!”

“Sorry Naminé,” said Riku sheepishly, “I was only kidding!”

“Hey,” said Sora, “What if you went with trick-or-treating with us? You don’t have to wear a scary costume, and we’ll protect you from any monsters that show up! Right, Riku?”

“Right!” They both let out fierce war cries and held up their wooden toy swords to impress the girls.

Kairi giggled. “Yeah, could you do that? Please?! ‘Sides, it’ll be my very first Halloween and I want you to be there too!”

“I guess so…” said Naminé slowly, but she still looked doubtful.

Her parents were thrilled to hear that she actually wanted to go trick-or-treating with her friends. They had often debated over what would be the right age to prod their daughter into doing it anyway; figuring that she needed to learn to face her fears and have some fun with the other children in the neighborhood. But they could also tell that Naminé wasn’t exactly looking forward to Halloween night, so they agreed to come along and help chaperone the kids. Naminé felt a little better after that.

When Halloween arrived, Naminé went over to Kairi’s house with Selphie to get ready. They had decided to all be witches together and waited in line while Kairi’s mother spread green paint over their faces. Well…Naminé was waiting patiently. Kairi and Selphie were too busy bouncing around the room, making up songs about how much candy they were going to get! “Girls, hold still!” Kairi’s mother chided.

Suddenly, the door opened and a little vampire walked into the room! Naminé gasped and tried to run away, but she tripped over one of Kairi’s toys. “Nice going Riku!” she heard Sora saying, “I told you it was too scary!”

“You’re the one who said I should add blood!”

“Does this mean we can go now?” asked Kairi eagerly as she helped Naminé to her feet.

“Yeah, Tidus and Wakka are downstairs. And Wakka’s a zombie, so don’t get scared when you see him too, Nami,” said Sora, “Tidus is okay, he’s just a blitzball player again.”

And so a trembling Naminé went off with her friends into the dark night to go trick-or-treating. It turned out not to be as bad as she had anticipated. The rest of her friends encircled her the entire time, so she wasn’t as exposed to some of the older kids’ scarier costumes, and she even started to get excited as her candy bag grew fuller. Most of the houses were lit up anyway, and the doorways were all filled with the familiar faces of her neighbors, which made the whole thing less creepy.

And then they got to Tidus’s house.

The lights in the windows were dim and the decorations were a lot spookier than before. Naminé shivered again and held on tightly to Sora and Kairi’s hands, trying to remind herself that it was only Tidus’s house. Tidus himself ran up to ring the doorbell and they all waited. Then, the door slowly began to creak open, but no one was there! Naminé’s heart was pounding like crazy, and then a figure with a horrifying, grisly face leaped out at them from behind the doorway! They all screamed, but Naminé dropped her candy bag, wrenched her arms away from Sora and Kairi, and ran as fast as she could down the street, sobbing in terror. She was so panic-stricken that she couldn’t hear her friends or her parents calling to her, or Tidus yelling, “Wait, it’s just my dad!”

The frightened little girl just kept on running, not knowing or caring what direction she went in as long as it got her away from the scary monster. It wasn’t until she was too tired to keep going when she suddenly realized that she was totally lost. “Hello?” she called out in a trembling voice, “Mommy? Daddy? Where is everybody?” No one answered, and she immediately plopped down in the middle of the street and began to cry.

“Naminé? Naminé!”

She lifted up her head hopefully at the sound of his voice. “Sora? Is that you?!”

The spiky-haired pirate quickly came into view and rushed over to her. “There you are! Are you ok?”

Naminé hugged him tightly and broke down crying again. “I’m s-s-so scared Sora! Did the monster eat everyone else?!”

“No, it was just Tidus’s dad in a costume,” explained Sora, “But I don’t understand- why’d you run away from us?”

“Because I was scared!” cried Naminé. What was so hard to understand about that?! “I told you guys that I don’t like Halloween!” When she looked up into Sora’s face, she was surprised to see that he looked hurt. “What’s the matter?”

“It’s just that I said I’d protect you, but you still got scared!” He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, yellow star-shaped keychain- the good-luck charm that she’d given him not too long ago. “How am I supposed to keep my promise when you won’t let me protect you and you run away?”

“I…um…” Naminé was completely taken aback. She’d been so scared the whole night that she’d forgotten all about Sora’s promise to protect her! “I guess it’s hard to think about stuff like that when you’re really scared,” she said, “But maybe I wouldn’tve been so scared if I’d been thinking about it in the first place! ‘Cause I know you’d never let me down!”

Sora grinned. “That’s right! Why else would I bring my sword?” he asked, and she laughed.

“Naminé? Hey guys! I found her!” The two friends looked up and saw Kairi at the other end of the street; she was followed by their parents and the rest of the kids. “Are you okay, Nami?” she called.

“Yeah, I’m fine!” replied Naminé, as she gave Sora a big smile.

“Sorry about my dad,” said Tidus, “He didn’t mean to scare you like that.”

“Ha, you should’ve heard Tidus! He screamed like a girl!” Riku told her.

“I did NOT!”

“Did too!”

“Here, we brought your candy with us,” said Kairi as she placed the bag in Naminé’s hands, “Are you sure you’re okay now?”

“Uh-huh,” she replied. Maybe Halloween wasn’t such a bad holiday after all. Certainly not when Sora was around!

***

“Hey guys, sorry we’re late!” said the now sixteen-year old Riku, as he and Sora jogged over to the trio of girls, “This slacker forgot what time we were supposed to meet you here.”

“You could’ve tried remembering yourself!” grumbled Sora.

“Whatever, we’re here now, right? Let’s go see what Tidus and Wakka cooked up for us at this so-called haunted house!” said Selphie.

Letting the other three lead the way, Sora hung back and put his arm around Naminé as they began walking down the street together. “Hey,” she asked him quietly, “Still got it?”

Sora grinned and pulled out the good-luck charm. “Yep, still got it!”

Reviews are very appreciated. Happy Halloween!

Pairings: SoNami, but in some ways it's more of a SoRiKaiNami friendship fic. What can I say, I love that fictional quartet!
Setting: It's an AU where Namine was really a childhood friend of Sora's, both pre-KH1 and post-KH2. Kind of like my Christmas SoNami fic that I wrote last year.
Summary: It's Kairi's first Halloween on Destiny Islands, but Naminé is too scared to join in the festivities. So it's up to Sora to remind her of why she never needs to be afraid of anything while he's around!

Disclaimer: I don’t own Kingdom Hearts. Or Jecht, Tidus's father from Final Fantasy X. But he doesn't show up very much.

“For Keeps”

I'll probably revise this a tad later, but this is a new fanfic of mine, called "The Ragnarok Knights". I know the chapter is a tad short, next one will be longer.

Prologue

It was a vast world, divided into many countries. There was a war to be fought between 2 of them. The country of Laeria, and the country of Dolia. They each lie adjacent to one another, and they vie for each others powers. What was unique about each of the countries though, was that they each worship a different god. Laeria worshipped Ragnarok, and Dolia worshipped Kitikus. These gods had almighty powers, and were the rulers of the world, but they never got along, and could never work anything out. They soon had a very large battle, that which lasted for centuries. The battle between the gods have caused the land though to rot, and whither away. But alas, the battle has now ended. Ragnarok killed Kitikus, and so the country of Laeria prospers,, but Dolia still fights. Inside the country of Dolia, people have been wanting, and working hard to bring back Kitikus, for another chance to fight. But Kitikus’ soul was sealed away into the body of a baby boy, and so the mother practically has given birth to the new god, yet his powers have been sealed away.

Our story begins 17 years after the child’s birth…

Chapter 1: The Idea Of The Knight

It was a great day outside, everyone in the town was out of their houses, and on the streets. It was in a town called Ichitan. It was a small, quiet town, with a limited number in the population. It was a town within the country of Laeria. In this town, there were three teenagers who were hungry for adventure, and they set out to go exploring.

There was Kite, a boy of 17 years, junior in high school and an exceptional swordsmen, he wore a green vest-like shirt and long pants. And there was Aster, a boy of 16, also a junior and a wondrous mage, he wore a mage’s cloak, and a hat. And lastly there was Yurik, also 17, in the same class, and uses his bare hands to fight, he usually wore a red kenpo Gi (Karate uniform consisting of a top part, and long pants.) The three of them went to the mountains to go exploring. But, before they went on their adventure, they went to Yurik’s house to get supplies.

“Yurik,” said Kite, “So where are your apple gels? We need them to heal ourselves.” He was looking around, but couldn’t find the gels anywhere, he looked in cupboards, under desks, everywhere.

“They’re in here!” Yurik said as he took down a picture to find a hole in the wall. “This is my secret stash.” He pulls out a bag of apple gels, orange gels, life bottles, and panacea bottles. They’re all supplies that the kids use to heal after they get hurt badly, or are inflicted with an illness. After grabbing his bag, he put the picture back up on the wall. They all walked out of the house. After leaving, they went into the mountains.

Upon entering a cave high in the mountains, they spot a bat, it was a normal sized bat, nothing special about it. Kite pulled out his sword, ready to fight, and Yurik got into his fighting stance. Kite dashed at the bat with his blade, but the bat was ready to move and got out of the way. Then Yurik took two quick jabs at the bat, but the bat kept backing up.

“Fire!!” yelled Aster, as he lifted his rod he used for battle into the air. Flames came out, but missed the bat.

“Dang… This thing is fast!” said Yurik as he stood back up from a knelt down pose. He was panting very hard, out of breath. He asked Kite, “Want to try a combo?”

Kite answered, “Yeah, it might work, let’s go!” Yurik was first to try striking, while Kite ran passed the bat onto a wall, and jumped. Yurik missed with two jabs and an uppercut, but got the bat right where Kite needed it. Kite fell straight on the bad with his blade in it’s head.

“Good job kids,” said a man walking into the cave, “But, what are you doing here? You know it’s quite dangerous.” The man didn’t look like any normal townsperson.

“Who are you?” asked Kite.

“I am commander of the 39th division of the Ragnarok Knights, sole leaders of the country, you can call me Nabal,” said the man. “My squad and I have come to investigate these mountains, we’ve gotten reports of people coming to these mountains and not returning.”

“What happened? What do you think the cause of it is?” asked Yurik.

Nabal replied, “Does it matter? Go home now!”

“Not until you tell us why!” Aster said. “What happened, why is this place so dangerous?”

“You just fought that bat didn’t you?” Nabal said, “I watched your entire fight, you may be strong for being teenagers, but what if something stronger, and faster comes than that mangy little bat?”

“Then we’ll kill it together!” replied Yurik.

“Yeah, that’s what you say now…” Nabal pulled his sword from his sheathe. “Now go home! Or I’m going to have to force you out of here!” The teenagers also pulled out their weapons, and got into their fighting stances. Without even a second to think though, Nabal swiftly struck all three of them, not fatally, but enough to knock them unconscious. He decided he would carry the kids back to their home, and then return to the mountains.

When waking from his unconscious sleep, Kite noticed he was back in house. “What,” he screamed, “Damn that Nabal! He knocked us out and dragged us back here!” He was very angry, and the others were still out cold.

When the other awoke, they were talking about how they’re going to be able to go on adventures if the can’t do anything about the Knights. “Hey!” Yurik said, “I have an idea, let’s join the Knights!”

“Join the Knights?” Kite confirmed, “That may not be a bad idea, then we’ll be able to go wherever we’d like to when we don’t have any work!”

“And even the work we get assigned to us will probably lead us to new places!” exclaimed Aster. “This is a great idea!”

The three decided to do try, but first, they needed to train a little harder. Every day they went into the fields to train with each other. Aster had to get used to casting his spells, learn new ones, and aim better with the ones he already knows. Kite had to learn new sword techniques, get better at aiming, become a lot faster. Yurik had to do basically the same as Kite, except his was with his bare hands, and he had to learn new bare hand techniques.

Alright this is a KH Fan-Fic and I tried to make one a long time ago but it failed and hopefully this one can last longer.

~Prologue~

"So..uh...where are we going again?" Said a weird type of dog person.

"C'mon I already told you Goofy. Your Majesty wants to look for Viktor so he can help us." Said a duck with a squeaky accent.

"Help us with what?" Said Goofy.

"Hmm, I dont exactly know. He never mentioned it."

"Alright, Donald. Goofy. Im ready we can leave now." Said a Mouse with giant circle for ears.

"Wait why are we going to use the Gummi Ship if you can just use the Corridor?" Said Goofy.

"I want to give it to Viktor since he is going to help us. Well we better hurry, I dont want to waste any more time." The three got in the ship but before they closed the ship a girl duck and mouse came.

"Were you going to leave without saying anything Mickey?" Said the girl mouse.

"What about you Donald?" Said the girl duck.

"Ah-Hyuck. You guys got some explaining to do." Said Goofy jokingly.

"Dont worry you two we will be back soon, we just need to take care of some stuff." Said King Mickey.

"Alright but be safe."

The three nodded and closed the ship.

"Hey can I drive this time, I never really got to use it before." Goofy ran to the captains seat and started to press random buttons.

"No idiot, be careful....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Said Donald in a furious tone and the ship was sent flying far off into space.

~~

"So it seems the King has went to go look for something.....Hmm, it must be that if he is going through all the trouble of looking for someone like Viktor. The fool of a King has no idea what he got himself into. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA" Said a woman with a green evil looking face, holding a cane and wearing all black with horns on her head. Behind her where tons of weird creatures and most of them had strange looking hearts with a red outline somewhere on them. But a dark figure stood out, with evil looking eyes and a synical smile was all you could see from it.

~~

"Chosen to weild a blade with great power." "Your Heart is pure." "Understanding is Key."
"Protect worlds or Destroy them." "What is your choice?"
                                                                                                                                                                  "Light or Darkness......"

*BEEP**BEEP**BEEP*

"Crap im gonna be late for school."

~End~

Alright it sounds kind of dumb but I promise it will get better and I know it sounds a lot like KH1 but it wont be. So what do you think of it so far?
