I dont think isa/saix is there willingly either,him and lea r best frends in bbs, and in days he still considers axel his only real friend and still values their past friendship even tho they grow apart, and even in kh2 tho hes much colder and ''heartless'' hes still visibly upset at axels diffection, but in ddd when he finally reunites with lea he doesnt show even a spec of emotion, and attacks him without mercy, i think at that point xehanorts influence is comepletly over shadowing his

It would make sense if Isa is and Xehanort side involuntary seeing that in Days he was a traitor! Plus it would make a good way to counter Lea and make him more relevant to the main story rather than making him go about with his own goals (saving Roxas+Xion) like in KH2. Hell with Xahenort being crazy prepared he probably have Isa on his side just to counter Lea just in case he joined the light to save his friends.
