KH3D Livestreams, Comprehensive Impressions, and Playthroughs!

I'm thinking that beating Critical Mode unlocks something extra, it must. Or else why would they have critical mode unlockable? All the past games that had Critical Mode, it was available from the start. Never unlockable. Kinda pisses me off, cause i want to start the game on Critical, because the other modes never pose a challenge for me.

But, i really hope there is extra stuff in Critical Mode (somehow)

BBS pushed the plot forward more than any games so far. Just sayin'

Nomura himself stated BBS is kind of KH0. And KH3D should have been KH3, given a new form of Xehanort is the main antagonist.

To some, BBS will never be seen as anything but a side game/spin-off because it doesn't have a number in the title or because it was on a handheld so matter how many times they are corrected about it. Expect to see 'We haven't had a TRUE KH game since KHII all those years ago!' forever.

And the "Make KH3!!!" ideas are stupid. They have to build KH3 up. Do you want another slight plot blunder like in KH2? They didn't have much to work with in KH2, they do now with KH3, and that makes me happy. I can expect something fantastic.

I suspect that we will have a tutorial obligatory lv 1 character intro segment in KHIII at the start of the game and it will be Kairi and/or lea we control.

Looking at what 3D set up, I almost feel that this time there is TOO much material to use for one game to adequately explore without rushing through it.

Ok, first off, BBS is an origin story correct? It only tells about whatever situation spiraled the events in Kingdom Hearts and....kind of sort of fill in holes that the other games failed to mention (but could have, with a few exceptions). It doesn't push the main story any further than it was at the end of KHII, besides hinting on what the letter says and giving Sora an excuse to save these guys.

Two things:

1. There has not been been one spin off game (Days and ReCoded don't completely count)

2.Since when has the the keyblade been this special weapon to only a few people? That has been expanded upon after KH1. Sephtoth1812 said it himself

I wasn't trying to imply that. Lea had a weapon that made him and his Nobody unique. A pretty cool weapon, mind you. And well....he's got a Keyblade now, so....it kind of stops him from being unique. But, meh.

I dunno, they definitely had a lot more to work with than they put, and you don't really have to look any further than the side games to prove that, especially when some could have been done in...what? 1 - 3 cutscenes instead of separate games? That would have done KHII all the difference. :|

Well, Nomura did say KH3 is only the end of the Xehanort saga. Anything they don't use now they can use later. And since this will most likely be a PS3 game, they'll have a lot of room to work with right? *not completely sure on average data space*

But having a lot of material to work with is much better than having barely any at all. All they had for KH2 was that Sora was asleep due to some organization. Riku was helping Sora wake up along with Namine. And.... what else? Did we even know that the org were Nobodies back then?

Now, we have a bunch of people to save, Sora's keyblade mastery, Kairi and Lea training, Ven sleeping, Aqua trapped in the dark realm, Terra's whereabouts currently uncertain and unknown, an Org composed of Xehanorts seeds to defeat, Xehanort to kill, Xion to figure out? Roxas to.... I don't even know.

Anyway, lost of stuff to work with.

Who says there needs to be a villain? They can be facing more natural evils now. Like the Realm of Darkness itself or something or other.

The only thing I know of so far is that there is a trophy for beating it on Critical. Though I assume there are more rewards :P

It's not an if, it's a when. Nomura already said KH III won't be the end.

Geez, I thought Nomura said they were "doing something different" with the secret ending? Oh well. Gotta wait for those translations, there's probably something important in those conversations between Mickey and Yen Sid.
