Who's Smarter: Girls or Guys?

What do you think? girls or guys? who's smarter? or who has more common sense? use facts if you have them, or just personal experiences... who do you say? let the battle of the sexes begin! ^^

Both. During the teenage years, it's proven that most girls tend to be smarter than most guys, however, during the years of university, the males tend to become smarter than the girls. Of course, it's not 100% accurate, but usually this is what happens.

My father is a family doctor and both my cousin and my sister major in Biology in University. They've said the same thing.

Obviously, you didn't fully read my post. I said most girls are smarter than guys during high school, and most guys are smarter than girls during university. It does not mean all girls or guys are smarter than others. A guy can mature faster and become smarter than most of his female friends during university, but that does not mean all he's smarter than all girls. Obviously, everything is dependent on the individual, but there's no point stating that since that is something everyone has learn to understand.

Well, it really depends on the person. I mean they could be born with down syndrome or something. But yea I agree with Jay, girls are usually smarter during high school years, but it doesn't all the boys are distracted. And in university and college, the guys are usually more in depth with their studies then girls are.

First, if you're a human being, and you have a gender, you're technically biased. Lawl. Odd, yes.

Second, you can't generalize something this huge. XP It's so lame. It's just stupid. "Which is smarter? THIS huge varied group, or THIS huge varied group?" There are WAY too many factors in intelligence to just make it an issue between Boys vs Girlzomg.

It'd be interesting to make a study on it, though. People usually avoid these because the world yells "sexism", but it'd be interesting to know. Knowledge for the sake of knowledge.

I think guys are smarter life-wise. And no Im not a tomboy. I think they're smart enough to get the hell over stupid crap, when girls ( FROM MY PERSONAL OBSERVATION ) like to hold grudes, be catty, argue, etc. I know because ive done it.

As far as book smart, it depends on the person.

What's wrong with generalization? Nothing, as long as you keep in mind that it's JUST a generalization. And don't try to present it as fact. :/

I think it's probably a tie.

Boys tend to be very stupid or very smart.

Girls tend to be just above the average.

If you average it out, it's probably a tie.

Well, this can be considered an entirely biased question. But if we break it down to basic intelligence, Jay Chou would be right. But also it should be taken into consideration that girls have more receptors between the nerves in their brains. This usually just results in girls being able to multitask better than boys, but sometimes it can also mean higher intelligence.

Past that, it's almost entirely based on how said person is raised, their opportunities in life, and further teachings. Not gender.

I think they're both equal, honestly. There are just as many smart men and women as there are stupid ones. What Jay Chou said is pretty right on the money too, actually. But really, this may all change since we have recently learned the brain isn't fully developed until middle age now.

Whos smarter?
Neither is smarter it tends to be more eqaul then anything. I mean gender doesnt have anything to do with intelligence.
