Who's Smarter: Girls or Guys?

Smarter?? Well, that's a pretty undefined criterion. But hell, let's just rely on people's intuition of what smarter mean. Of course, for all my answers, I am saying "on average." There are exception people from both sexes.

Math: Men. By far.
Chem/Physics: Men. Again, without doubt.
Biology: Iffy. I am not too sure on this one.
English: Also iffy. I'd like to say women, but I don't know enough about literary history, current and ancient.
Fine Arts: Women. But not by a huge margin.
Women Studies: WOMEN! And gay men. lol.

And those are all the subjects I can think of off the top of my head....

I must say, in my high school, I haven't met many intelligent girls. Alot of them tend to be very stupid.

Media has an impact on the way people think, stereotypes based on how genders are supposed to act, ect.

Males out-number the amount of girls in my school however, and since I believe that there are ten idiots for every one intelligent person, then there must be more stupid boys in my school than stupid girls.

That's a good thought actually. I would say Girls mature faster than Guys do, but on an intelligent basin, I wouldn't know. Speaking as a guy, I know a lot of girls who are greatly intelligent. Intelligence on some levels are derived from how you grow up and what knowledge you gain from school. Genius aren't mainly something you automatically become as stated in other posts. As far as who's smarter is concerned, it all is based upon the person. There isn't solid evidence to proof one gender's superiority over another. If people can prove somebody wrong based on factual evidence, then I'll be with them.

id say both are equally smart there are dumb guys and girls but theres also smart guys and girls at the same time.

its not like you can quiz every single guy and girl in the world and record their IQ's to sum up which is smarter lol.

But the question itself begs to be slapped. Different people excel in different areas, brains are made up differently, life style effects all of the above; essentially, your question can't be answered without extensive knowledge of everyone's IQ, what subjects they are considered experts in, and what people are operating under disabilities.

It comes down to the individual, not the masses. If I were to take a poll in my school, I would probably find that the boys are, because of the environment we live in. It's different everywhere.
