Why does everbody make such a big deal about this kind of suff? I mean sure i'd like to say girls are smarter, but the point is that, it just depends on the person. There are just as equal smart girls as there are boys. I agree with blinkboy211 that Gender doesn't decide how smart you are.

I said women are smarter for many reason. In the school where I was, and even now at university, girls are the one to prove that the human brain can be used for good things. Not the guys.
Of course, that's not true for everyone, but I think from a general way women are smarter.

I think that it really doesn't matter what gender you are.
I know a plethora of smart girls and guys, and I really don't have any basis for an argument on which of the two genders is smarter.
But that's just my personal experience.

threads (and indeed arguements) like this are epic fail. For one thing, it seems that the pattern is Females score higher in school, so i'm surprised that males are beating out females in this pole. I've heard the contrary, but i don't buy it.

the problem with making claims on intelligence is that it is so subjective, and even then, intelligence isn't even entirely agreed upon. there are atleast three major ways one can interpret intelligence. It pretty much comes down to the individual.

depending on which theory of intelligence you follow, girls and guys might be totally different. On stark contrast is spatial intelligence. The test for this is 9 blocks that are half red, half white. (two faces are fully red, two faces are white, and two faces are diagnally split). The goal is to reproduce a pattern you see on a pad. You actually get to keep looking at the pad, but for some reason, even with the answer in front of you, girls take atleast three minutes, while a guy can finish in under a minute.

likewise, there are skills that females have a greater command over then men. However, it depends on what theory of intelligence you believe in.

Some totally doubt IQ tests period, because so many things can effect the test. the flaws in IQ tests are that a lot of it is based on basic knowledge, but not everyone has the same basic knowledge, so its very difficult to have a valid test.
