Hearts, Crowns, & Keys

Has anyone else noticed that there are alot of hearts, crowns, & keys everywhere? I mean in stores. Girls will mostly know this, cause it's in alot of jewelry. If you go to a store that sells accessories or jewelry, you will see little keys that almost look like keyblades in the making on necklaces, keychains, even on the zippers of some purses. There are alot of crowns on jewelry, too. Same with hearts.

The best thing about it is that you can get jewelry that reminds you of Kingdom Hearts, & no one else will realize it unless they like the game. I have five necklaces i got from Claires that all have little keys on them. One also has a crown on it. I just got a keychain from Wal-Mart that looks like a keyblade. Do you think that the video game is influincing other merchandise? I doubt it, but it's still a coincidence. What do you think about it?

Yep. The whole heart-key fad has been going around since the 80's and before then. Started by the empire Tiffany's I believe. Claire's and other smaller stores began to adopt it, and present them to consumers everywhere as plastic/metal keychains, bracelets, necklaces, ear-rings, you name it.

As for the crown fad...gah I always forget the name of the company that started it. But for the past couple of years, ever notice a lot of kids walking around in huge or fitted, stylish hooded jackets with colorful & eccentric designs and cartoons on them? You know, such as the ones with all of the rainbow skulls and diamonds on them? The 'crown' detail has been seen everywhere recently, yes.

Whenever I see the designs or add ons that you've mentioned, I'm proud to say that they DO remind me of KH, and my everlasting obsession with it.

A pretty good amount of times I've gone to Claire's, it seems I got something with a key, heart, or something like that on it. I've got a bracelet with keys on it, a necklace with a keyhole, key, and crown... And many other things I'm forgetting right now. Heck, I think even Hot Topic might be getting in on something like this. Not too long ago, I got a pair of black angel wing earrings that reminded me of Sephiroth (I usually only wear one with a black stud in the other, for the One Winged Angel thing). I know they sell that kind of thing at Claire's, too.
I love it, in a way. It lets me support Kingdom Hearts without being too obvious about it. ^^

Lol, I have a blue wallet with a key and a heart chain thingy that I gotfor my birthday! I want to buy key/heart shaped jewelry and stuff, but I don't have any money :(

yes I have noticed it and I'm actually starting to think about KH when I see it too, lol! But I doubt that a videogame has influenced the fashion and accessories industry though.. lol!

Well hearts in jewelry have been around for a very long time.

but I have been seeign lots of keys on jewelry that I wasn't noticing before. someone weill wearr one and walk by me and I'll stare to see if its a keyblade. get dissapointed and slapped for staring. ok well I haven't been slapped but you get the idea

I loooooove this new fad or whatever it is.
It makes me feel all Kingdom-Heartsy whenever I wear a crown necklace or something.

I suppose designers are trying to be "vintage" or something. And they end up making lots of KH fangirls very happy.

I actually started noticing this a couple of years ago after I got KH1. I go to a little toy machine, and it coughs up a little key necklace with a shield with a lock in it. Now I see hearts, crowns, and keys more than ever. I keep thinking KH has made me crazy! O.o Nah, I was like that before, but the trends and styles that they have for such items are looking really cool.
