A girl once pictured beneath the cruel headline "Britain's Fattest Teen" is reportedly stable in a Welsh hospital after she had to be cut out of her home. Two days ago, 19-year-old Georgia Davis posted on Facebook that she was in her bed and couldn't get up. By Thursday, she was suffering from organ failure. The attempt to rescue her took eight hours and involved more than 40 policemen, paramedics and construction workers who destroyed two walls in the house. Ultimately she was successfully transported to a hospital. Officers tried to shield her from the public, with one saying, "This is not a freak show." Davis, who now weighs a reported 882 pounds, has said that her unhealthy eating habits began as a child, shortly after her father's sudden death.

I think that is just sad. The poor girl has a really serious problem. I hope she can get to a healthy weight so she does not have to live the rest of her life not being able to get out, or being unable to do almost anything for herself. Not to mention having serious health problems that could kill her.

Yeah I was honestly (no offense intended) expecting something a lot...uglier...for 880 pounds. She doesn't even have neck chins!

It is sad, especially since she went to a boot camp in America before and she lost almost half her previous weight. Then she came back home and gained so much more. At least she tried though, there's obviously some mental issue there as well that's preventing her from keeping that weight off. The people around her should have helped her more too.

I know what it's like to be a way over weight teenager.
It's not easy and when you listen to every "I hope you get better" or "You'll straighten it out", there is ten "F*CK She's ugly/She'll never be skinny" out there. It just makes it worse.

I only laughed at the quote from the police officer. "This is not a freak show!" There are better things to say in this situation and I feel that it possibly did more harm than good.

Honestly, I reserve judgement on obese people until I know reason for their obesity. Hers seems to be self-inflicted and my sympathy lessens because of that. Yes, it's sad that your father passed but eating yourself to death is not only torturous, emotionally and physically, but it's also costly.
