What's the best foundation and do you prefer the powder or liquid?
My personal favorite foundation is from Yves Rocher, but I don't know if they sell it outside of Europe. Maybe they do shipping. It's a very soft foundation with only natural ingredients and it's oilfree. It also has the best scent ever. I can also recommend the Dream Matte Mousse foundation from Maybelline, and the Lumé Magique from L'oréal. These are all liquid foundations, if you're looking for a good powder foundation you can never go wrong with MAC or Maxfactor. If you're having trouble finding the best foundation for your skintone you can ask someone who works at the cosmetics counter, or test a few tones on your hand and see which one works best for you. Applying it is not that hard, you can work with your hands or with a brush. Youtube videos are a great help. I recommend using a face primer before applying the foundation, this makes it last longer, and makes sure you have a matte finish (since you don't want your face to shine all over the place).

Edit: This stuff is magic, it's the best powder foundation I have ever used.

    1. where do you like to shop? do you like shopping online or in-stores?

I go to stores first to try on, but I end up ordering stuff online. With online shopping you can almost always knock a few bucks off the total with a promo code.

    2. post pictures of cute outfits you like!

Probably the biggest reason I've been wearing jean jackets lately.

[ifthisgetsabusedagainisweartogod]3. nails: polished or natural? nail art?[/ifthisgetsabusedagainisweartogod]

    4. hair: styles, colors, short or long?

    Clean. Not short, not long.

Lately I've been slicking back my hair. My default hairstyle is boring.

    5. shoes? any favorite brands?

I don't really have any favorite brands. As long as they look nothing like an advertisement, I'll wear them.

I ordered this pair of Vans from UO about a year ago and I've been rocking them since. They look damn amazing with my black skinnies. Since they're canvas I just run them through the wash every now and then.

    6. where do you look for style? magazines? tumblr? friends?

I'm inspired by a lot of the TV I watch. (see #2)

for the clean look I go for, also see Simon Bellamy and Seth Cohen

    7. clothes & closet space: do you have a LOT of clothes? how do you come across them or get rid of them?

I don't have that many clothes. Reason being…

The shirt's hanging from up there because I air dry. I don't like my clothes getting faded in the dryer. As for the other half, it's kinda cramped but organized. Flannels (which I have way too many of), cardigans, sweaters, hoodies, coats. Everything behind the leather jacket I'm gonna end up donating.

I kind of just grab and go. I don't really think about it because I don't go out enough to show off my wardrobe.

    8. secondhand stores like goodwill? are they good deals?

Yeah. I don't really thrift that much but if it's still in good condition and didn't come off of a corpse, why not? I found that leather jacket for $5 at Savers. Pretty awesome.

    9. current trends you like/hate/don't understand

Pin-up/rockabilly. It's cool but every time I talk to one of these people it's like "yeah, I model." For kupo's sake. There's this festival we have out here in Vegas every year and this is pretty much everywhere there.

    10. your beauty routine! makeup?

I always use Eskinol Ice Poretherapy toner after washing my face. It's great for closing pores. Afterwards, some Neutrogena Deep Clean cream cleanser/aloe vera gel as moisturizer.

Tuesday and Friday are skin peel days. I kupoing love this stuff.

I'm probably gonna start doing papaya masks because I tan easily and I like being pale.

    11. what style do you like on the opposite gender?

I don't really have one. As long as they don't look trashy and look good, hay gurl

    12. favorite colors!

I wear way too much blue. I kind of hate it.

this stupid forum isn't letting me merge my posts

i prefer liquid and right now my favorite is lancome freshwear. its a bit pricy though. a cheaper one (but still good) is maybelline matte mousse. its not really powder or liquid its kind of a cream that you put on and blend to a matte finish.

if you do wear liquid though, make sure you set it with powder

    1. where do you like to shop? do you like shopping online or in-stores?

I shop at Forever 21, H&M, Spencers, Charlotte Rousse, Wet Seal, PacSun, and this one place in my mall called T-Shirt Plus.I prefer online shopping better than in-stores as I manage to save more money and not be rushed by people to hurry up.

    2. post pictures of cute outfits you like!

    3. nails: polished or natural? nail art?

    Natural.
    4. hair: styles, colors, short or long?

I like all lengths of hair especially short and long. Blue, pink, green, red, black, and hair with the tips dyed blonde are my favorites. Braided hair, messy hair, and buns are the styles I prefer. Mainly laid-back styles.

    5. shoes? any favorite brands?

Tuks, Doc Martens, Converse...anything that looks nice.

    6. where do you look for style? magazines? tumblr? friends?

Tumblr and people I see at school.

    7. clothes & closet space: do you have a LOT of clothes? how do you come across them or get rid of them?

Its a decent amount I think. I pick up clothes on the go and never get rid of it so I usually recycle the clothes I don't wear into a tank top or just cut the design out and make a patch.

    8. secondhand stores like goodwill? are they good deals?

Never been to one or bought anything from there.

    9. current trends you like/hate/don't understand

LIKE: Skinny jeans, knit sweaters, vests, stripes, dresses, docs with anything.
HATE:Uggs, neon colors, harem pants, really ruffley clothes, jerseys.
I don't understand why girls wear shorts with Uggs in either cold weather or hot weather.

    10. your beauty routine! makeup?

I put volume stuff in my hair then I wave some pieces of my hair that are straight. Tease it a bit and then decide if I want to put it in a sock bun or leave it down. My makeup has changed to making myself have a natural look so I just use concealer on dark spots, foundation to cover the redness, and some mascara on my eyelashes just to make it curl. I used to do a winged eye but someone said I look more feminine without it?

Makeup used: Revlon Colorstay, Wet n Wild Cover stick, Clinique Mascara

    11. what style do you like on the opposite gender?

That casual look with more solid colors than clothes with designs on it. Simple things really.

    12. favorite colors!

Black, blue, green, red, white, and pastel colors.

today all of my friends got together and exchanged clothes that we don't want/don't fit anymore, and i got a whole bunch of nice stuff. i also color-coded my closet while i was at it.

    SO CLEAN AND ORGANIZED ;w;
I HAVE TO KEEP IT THIS WAY.

p.s. got myself some rimmel "clean finish" foundation which i'm pleased with since it was under $10. and I kind of splurged with my paycheck and got alba hawaiian face moisturizer too, which smells SO GOOD. it's probably one of the best moisturizers i've ever used!

I thought the Rimmel Clean Finish was one of the worst foundations I've ever bought. It didn't oxidize on my skin but it dried up as soon as it made contact with my skin and it would not blend at all. It also just made me look flaky and then it made my dark spots even worse. All it did was make it really look like I put on makeup with its cakey look. I have Normal/Dry skin with the usual oil on my T-Zone especially around the sides of my nose and considering this was a matte foundation I thought it would help but it just made it worse. The price lured me in and I got what the price said. I love the Rimmel Match Perfection except it didn't last very long but it was way better than the Clean Finish and matched my skin wonderfully.

If the foundation works for you then... you got your moneys worth.
