    Default Re: The Dream Thread

I actually keep a dream journal. Here's an old memorable one.

(this one is kind of funny because I'm actually playing Shadow of the Colossus right now lmao)
    1. "This dream involved interplanetary (although it was likely inter-system/galactic) travel. I was joined by a few individuals who have been unrecognizable since waking up. We took some sort of space traveling elevator type ship to a post-apocalyptic alien world. There, we discovered a great monster/colossus which likely caused problems to said planet. We saw it, and made efforts to subdue the creature. I cannot remember exactly if we saved them all, or much of what happened after we saw the beast."

And this second one happened very recently, and it was really memorable. It took place in my martial arts dojo. Generally, during a belt test, the instructors ask us what a certain moral value means to us or how we execute it in our every day lives (aka bullshit rofl). Basically my question was "how do you have trust and brotherhood among friends?" to which I responded (still surprised I remembered this, forgot almost everything immediately after finishing):

"To me, this is the most important virtue present on the list. I don’t have any stories of how I personally am able to help my friends and family, but the bonds of men and women are always necessary. As humans, we thrive off of the life of others, for we are all symbiotic organisms. To have a lack of trust in one another is ultimately cancerous, making this virtue not only self-evident in execution, but also in principle. We wouldn't be anywhere without our social links (lol p4 reference) and loved ones."

I will probably express a version of the above during my actual test. I'm so prepared, bitches dont even know. I have a ton more but these are some good ones. I have pages and pages of these in a word document. lol

There used to be an extremely similar thread to this, but it was about nightmares specifically. I usually don't recall my dreams, but the other night I dreamt I was in a web series similar in format to Marble Hornets. I was in an abandoned house out in the woods near my old house, being chased by The Rake or Slenderman. Don't recall any details.

    Aha so do I!

Most of the dreams I keep having and have kept on having in the past couple of years have been Donnie Darko related, one way or another.

My most recent dream, although DD related, was not entirely the most interesting. It involved me meeting Jake Gyllanhaal but in the form of his Donnie Darko character and us having a little chat about how we share so much in common and discussing the emotional problems we face. It was quite strange and I felt like I was actually talking to him in real life. I was woken by the sound of a massive crash which in the dream was a jet engine, just like in the movie but in real life, my flatmates were banging on my door to wake me up for University.

Strange, but I love dreaming about Donnie.

I dreamt that I had a fight with a life styled version of Marluxia, it was pretty epic seen as I had my own keyblade which I must have had a design stored away in my self-conscious mind. It was pretty damn cool and one of the best dreams I've had this year so far.

    I dream a lot.

I had a dream that there was the game called LIFE, and it was like the Sims and GTA. The game was an exact replica of our world. You could go anywhere, do anything. Even had a time travelling watch that allowed me to go backwards or forwards in time within the game. Pretty diddlying sweet if that game existed.

Wow, that sounds well good! I'd personally love that to be a real life game!

Holy sh--, last night I had the most realistic feeling dream I've ever had.

I was at a party at someone's house (don't know who's house). We were partying in the backyard. It was already dark outside, a few lights were on, a lot of my friends were there and this one girl I'm talking/chatting with a lot now, was there too.

I went to the same college as her but I recently stopped school (gonna restart next year though). I never really talked to her in real life but yeah, we started chatting and oh man, is she adorable. We have the same kind of humor, the same music taste etc. The only downside is that we live far from eachother and yeah, it's very probable that we won't see eachother anymore (which sucks a lot).

Now, back to the dream: I was having fun and decided to walk to the girl I mentioned earlier and have a little chat. She was sitting there on a wooden chair. There was a wooden table too, y'know, furniture for outside. The furniture actually looked like the ones I have in my backyard..

Anyways, we started talking and I noticed that she was kinda nervous when talking. We were talking about school, she said she didn't like that I quit school, that she wanted me to come back (she already said something like that to me in real life) and suddenly she hugged me. This hug was the weirdest thing in the world, I could actually feel the hug.

Then I looked at her again and I swear, she looked just like she looks in real life. I couldn't find anything that looked off, the dream version of her was a perfect replica and this, I have never witnessed before in a dream.

After that, I said her we should start dating. She hugged me again and we started to kiss. Again, this kiss, it was the weirdest thing in the world, I was actually kissing her. It's like I was conscious the entire time from the moment I started to talk to her in my dream.

Then I woke up, realising it was a dream. I was like 'whut? that couldn't have been a dream'. Never witnessed something that strong at all. This thing has been spooking in my head the entire day. Like, wow!

^ That's awesome, somehow I can only remember parts of my dreams, or I don't remember them at all.

Yeah, at times, I can't remember them either but occasionaly, I have really strong dreams and those are the ones I tend to remember best.

However, this has to be the strongest one I've ever had. All the details I saw, me being like, more or less conscious during the entire thing. I mean, that's some crazy shit!

When I woke up, I was like:

    Wait, THAT was a dream?....

Aaaanyways, to even think our minds can actually build stuff like this. It's pretty amazing.

I had a dream I was being chased in these fields in my backyard by this man and his dog(I think, never actually turned around to see what it was), was cornered in an old decrepit building and the fear I felt, I actually felt as if I were about to die, it was horrible. Then I turn around, and a wall that was fine a moment ago is caved in with a fallen tree fallen through, I climb out and run, still being chased by that dog. Then I woke up.
I've also had very realistic dreams of me and an old friend of mine talking, but I haven't talked to him in a couple of years. Funny thing, I don't remember when I had a dream, in fact, it doesn't feel like it was a dream at all, it feels like an actual memory, but then I see him and realize we haven't talked in years.

For some reason, for the past four to five days I had some strange dreams. I.E. I dreamed two schoolmates and I were in a BMW that had its driving wheel on the right, afterward I got out of the car and, for some reason, I was putting my socks on. But honestly, this was the most strange dream:

I was confronting someone, I was trying to speak but words couldn't LITERALLY come out! I was basically struggling! Afterward when I REALLY pushed to say it and I woke up, but the phrase rang in my mind as clear as if I said it when I woke up, but my mouth was shut so I didn't really say it.

Thess threads are always interesting to read through lol.

Last night was nothing new or unusual considering all of my dreams the past few months have been me going on some kind of grand adventure or another. I can usually remember them.

Putting this one in spoiler tags though, since it's a bit long.
