Default My First Halloween
Hello everyone, how are you? (:

If you didn't read my introduce thread, I am exchange student from Japan. This is my first year in America, and today is Halloween! I've seen pictures and videos of what Halloween in American is like, but never experienced it myself. So, tonight should be fun!

In Japan we have something kind of similar to Halloween called O-bon, so I'm interested to see how similar the two are...

Here, we basically have anything from 3 year olds to 17 year old teens begging people for candy, and if you're a teen and are refused, you get to egg thier house. :D

Anywho, hope ya have fun on your first outing, don't be startled if you see tons of the same costumes, it's an art to buy whatever's cheapest. XD

Dress up as something really generic, pretend you're nine and go and knock on people's doors, saying "trick or treat!" They will then proceed to either give you candy or will tell you to fuck off. Free food, aye aye.

Or you could just do what happened in Big Daddy where Sonny took Frankenstein trick or treating, knocked on the door. Man didn't answer. So Sonny went around back, broke in, and forced the guy to give Frankenstein Life Cereal, CD's, and a gold watch :D

Yeah for Halloween, children go to everyone's doorstep dressed up as something/someone special and asks for candy saying "Trick or Treat!". You then give them candy.
Sometimes, older children do it as well, but usually older people have more adult events like costume parties or scary movie nights :)
