Default Would you pass up this offer? Seriously

Alright, say someone in the neighborhood is in desperate need of a new cell phone and they'd do anything to get it. All they'd need is $50 to gain possession of that pretty Verizon Envy phone.

Now, this person is desperate, quite desperate and would go as far as offering the following items for $50:

2 Nintendo 64 consoles (sans controllers and one doesn't work)
10 Nintendo 64 Games (ranging from Mario to crack up boxing games)
1 Gameboy color (no charger)
1 Gameboy Advance SP (no games and no charger)
1 Super Nintendo (sans controllers and games)
1 Sega Genesis console (16 bit with added memory)
20 Sega Genesis games (includes Sonic Spinball and Sonic 3, sweet)

Keep in mind that he's offering to sell everything for $50, not per item but for everything. Would you take the deal?

My boyfriend certainly did and he plans on keeping it all, at least the stuff that still works. Consider his house the new video game haven of the neighborhood.

(Yes, I'm a girl...in case any of you were wondering.)

You also need to realize that you need to pay like 60 dollars a month for a verizon cell phone plan.

True, but not for the neighbor. He's buying the phone through e-bay and says that all he has to do is use a prepaid plan. That's what...anywhere between $15 and $100 a month or something?

Even though I probably wouldn't know what half of the games were, I'd still go for it. I love old games just for the fact I like to see how our systems have grown. And, it'd be far cheaper then buying the stuff seperate. I know for a fact that if you want a Sega genesis in good condition [or at least where I am] it's gonna cost ya a good amount of cash. People in my area are good rip-off artists anyway though... Bottom line, I would give him the cash for the stuff.

I know the Sega works for sure, the GB Color and GB Advance work and only one of the N64s work. Even if the other 64 doesn't, we've got the tools and stuff to fix it if we need to and later, possibly sell it. The Super NES is the same way. But my boyfriend's got about two others of his own.

It's crazy, though. He's got three PS2s (other than his own) and those Super NES consoles that he's thinking about fixing up. Then he's got a 360 that's seen the red ring of death multiple times. We've fixed it once already, but he's not even sure if he'll be able to fix it again. I've been assigned to fix a couple of the PS2s and then later make sure that all the games that he purchased from the neighbor work.

He's a mutual friend, this neighbor. My boyfriend's known him for awhile, so scams and rip-offs are unlikely. They did test the consoles before heading home, the only thing left are the games.

No, I wouldn't. I was never a fan of the N64 and I can get most of the otherstuff through an emulator. There's also the fact that I don't have the room for any more videogames right now and really don't have the time.

Even if the games were crap, I'm sure you could still resell it all one by one on the internet for more money.

Obviously, this should be a very good offer. :3

Gameboy Color's don't have chargers. And you can sell the shit games for some cash, not a lot, but enough for a ps2 game or something.

I'd do it, but I'm a sucker for buying used stuff.

Sell those things to a vintage game collector and you will be making more than $50.

Hell yeah I would take that for $50, I don't think you could find a better deal than that even on Ebay. If anything that's a rip off for the person selling the items. You could get at least thirty-five dollars for the SP, and maybe 20 for all the N64 games. That's already fifty-five bucks right there. I would have pushed for at least seventy-five dollars for all of that stuff.
