Default Rich Ross replaces Dick Cook
Well, the president of Disney Channel has replaced Dick Cook as chairman of Walt Disney Studios.

Disney is a really good company and Disney Channel....well, let's just say that I don't think it has very many good things on it.

Who thinks Ross will lead Disney in a bad direction?

Ross aside, who thinks that 2010 will start Disney down a path of making amazing movies again?

I dunno, I've been thinking that Disney has been going a rather meh route for quite some time now.

Guess it can't get that much worse.
I don't necessarily think that Ross will bring this wonderful "Disney Channel charm" all over the whole company all of a sudden though, as one might think. Let's wait and see. He can't be that stupid.

I honestly don't really care. I can't really see him being bad or good just yet, but I don't like the uncertainty either. However, I'd sure laugh if Disney Channel actually became half-decent again, under his guidance.

I think you're messing up the target audiences a little right now.

Whether those people can or cannot act isn't even the least bit relevant for most of the people who watch Disney Channel. And using the arguments "they can't act/they can't sing" are simply bullshit, and you know it.

Disney's main focus has always been on entertaining and promoting young(er) people. It's just what Disney does. Why blame them for doing exactly that just because it doesn't fit our personal and more critical standards?

I myself am not a big fan of what the Disney Channel delivers, I admit that. And I also admit that most Disney Channel productions are quite mediocre. But I don't think all the hate is necessary either, it could be a lot worse. As long as the kids are having fun, that's fine.
