I'll cry if I am forced to tell you who this is :\

Currently I am doing a research on this oddball. I was already immensely interested in his work and now I am simply amazed. Simple yet incredible depth, you know? But I was curious about what the rest of you thought about him.

Discuss.

My best friend and I had a discussion about this guy just a few days ago, and we reached the mutual consensus that he is a hack. Talent should involve more than recoloring some soup cans arranging them in a checkered pattern.

Talent shouldn't be something you make that is complicated and takes weeks to do.

i wouldn't consider andy warhol a great artist, as i don't think that's what he's all about. i think his stuff is great as merchandise - obviously this is something he'd support. I think Andy Warhol is pretty much just a good troll who challenged ideas within art and media; his IQ was suppoedly 86. I imagine he took this test and failed it on purpose with his calm "OH GEE I DUNNO" and "YES/NO" answers to show his dislike for it. along with similar antics within the media (interviews for example). i have to thank him for THE GRAETEST B& EVAR, THE VELVET UNDERGROUND who are pretty much one of the greatest bands ever and a perfect musical representation of the Factory scene. I know that all he did as a producer was do that album art and tell them "THAT SOUNDS NICE", as well as a few suggestions for song subjects, but w/e.

i'm cool with the guy.

I like Andy Warhol.
Having visited various art museums, studied Art History and design with art professionals in NY for a month and having discussed Warhol with them before, I'd say he's great.
