I really like it actually, because it's completely unnoticeable, and never gets in the way yet will ensure my teeth will stay straight? Mine is in until I'm 25 or something, what about you?

I'm also meant to wear a clear retainer every other night....but that often annoying unless I'm sleeping by myself, which I probably will be this summer.

O_O All of you are scaring me. My mom plans for me to get braces, but I don't see the need to. Even the dentist says so! But my mom STILL wants me to get braces.

Dentists tend to be perfectionists. My teeth are pretty damn straight, no gaps, no overlapping teeth, nothing. My back moler is pretty messed up, though. I just wish he'd take off my top ones and leave my bottoms ones on--I hate to smile with these on.

However, I never wore my elastics which is a bad thing, kiddies. -points- ALWAYS WHUR YUR ELASTICS.

That's probably what I'm going to do. I just don't want to mess with a retainer.

i have braces. they aren't bad unless you barely had them or if you're getting them retightened again. i'm not sure about some people but i've gotten used to them. my braces are really shiny. =D

Just got a metal brace today. I don't know what kind you guys got, but my one doesn't hurt a bit. Although it sucks that I can't have pizza crust without cutting it up lol. Also, rigorous teeth cleaning episodes three times a day, ragh.

Same here. My teeth were so ****ed up, I had one tooth shooting up in the front, one looking sideways, my lower front teeth in the back, and to top it all off, my teeth were "caved-in" as my ortho said, meaning they were like this: >---<

Sucks...

But anyway, I just have to get my top gap (its not even that noticeable but its there. And get my bottom teeth aligned. That too isn't all that noticeable. =/

To be honest, I'm lucky. Never had braces. My brother had one but yeah...never had one. So don't know what the feeling is like though I heard it can be bothersome.

I just got my braces on today. I cant close my mouth properly or else they'll hurt. Other than that its not too bad.

I had braces for 16 months. Now I wear retainers.

Honestly, braces weren't that bad for me. The only thing that really annoyed me was that it hurt after I got them tightened, which made it difficult to eat. My retainers pissed me off at first, but now I'm used to them.
