Braces....<.< - Page 2

Everything they could possible put in my mouth, they did at one time or another. The worst was this contraption that had two bars that extended from the top to the bottom of my mouth, with rubber bands, biggest pain in the ass ever. Had braces for 2 years, now I wear a retainer every night till I'm 18. But my mouth looks fantastic if I do say so myself :D

I'm 17 and I still need braces. I don't know what I'm waiting for.

My mom doesn't really even try to get the money for an appointment.
Both me and my little brother have braces, but his brace problems aren't as bad as mine, but his teeth are *dies*
What's worse is that I might have to wear my braces longer if I don't get to an Orthodontist soon.
I'm supposed to wear them for about year and then the retainer for 18 months, but by the way I'm going, bad things are going to happen to my teeth.

does anyone else have the retainer that has two plastic bars on the bottom and top(yes i mean atual bars huge thhings) that pull your lower jaw forward?? and you cant close your mouth? there the only thing so far i dont like, and he expects me to wear them to school TT_TT

mine are two custom sized plastic molds (top and bottom) with a metal bar that loops around the front of the teeth to keep them from moving. I can close my mouth...

mine have a plastic block between my top and bottom teeth, so i cant close my mouth=[

im done with all that stuff. but i have a perma. piece of metal cemented to the back of my bottom teeth so my teeth wont move.

Awww....I don't know what they are like but at first, I heard they can really bug you but then you get used to them. I think.

I have braces until next spring. They really suck! I almost never do all the cleaning I am suppose to do. But I brush pretty well so it equals out!

I've got that on my top teeth, but it's really small.

And I still have braces.

Man, wearing a retainer is gonna suck.

I got mine near the end of March.

It sucked horribly at first, but now I'm used to them and I barely notice anything when I'm eating.

At least you can take out the top retainers...

I haven't had any of those bar things you'e guys been talking about, but I did have a spacer on my top teeth...
There was this central piece that had four bars that go to four of my top molars, two on each side... Then, I had to stick this little crank into this tiny whole and then crank it, which then widened my teeth... It hurt... DX

I got my braces off sometime last year, I wear my retainer every night, if I remember and am at home.
