Girl Gamers

Well, video games, a lot of people can enjoy..... at one time, it was mainly the guys who played them, and the girls who called them nerds... -.-.....

lol anyway, as we all know, women didnt fight for equal rights for nothing eh? Video games are becoming more and more popular with everyone, young and old, male and female.

(and Nintendo profits lol)

Anyway, of course there have been many articles on this before and many w/e news reports etc etc....

What do you think about this growing change of female gamers? I know there have always been girl gamers... I've had lots of friends who are girls and gamers... and now there are more. I honestly dont really mind it... at least now I have one more thing to talk about with girls that they arent (completely) ignorant to :-p

The growth of female gamers doesn't really bother me.
I've been a gamer since I was about 3 or 4 years old and so have me, my older sis, and my older cousins.
Several of my girl friends of gamers, but they don't really play a whole lot.

Sometimes age with girl gamers bother my a little bit.
I can understand young to early 20s female gamers, but when you're in you're 60s- 70s playing with a DS, I'm kinda...What the heck? in the background. With a Wii, I'm somewhat comfortable with an old lady playing with that...as long as she doesn't hurt herself. O.o

Female, male, doesn't matter. The important thing is more and more people are starting to enjoy themselves with video games. :3

I've been playing games since I don't know... since whenever Sega was still popular. I remember playing Sonic like crazy.

I don't know a lot of girls that keep up with new games and play them.
Most of them just play Pokemon and the GBA and stuff like that. They wouldn't even know what E3 or Square Enix is..
The guys I know only play Halo and Counterstrike. ( I like more Final Fantasy type RPGs... not PC...but i used too so i can relate somewhat.)

There used to be this girl I drove to school with. She was heavily into Metal Gear Solid. We spent many days talking about MGS mytho during the ride. Was pretty awesome.

Also worthy of note was she wasn't your typical fatass, JRPG playing weeaboo faggot. She was a hardcore PC gamer. Rather cute british indie styling too. Man she had class.
